Masons Restaurant in Brentwood

We’ve always enjoyed Sunday lunch at Masons but our Mother’s Day experience wasn’t up to Mason’s usual standard. Service was slow, it felt as though they had crammed in extra tables as we and the table next to us felt we were on top of each other. Food was good but was sadly an uncomfortable dining experience.

Our gang of nine had a wonderful time with fine food and pleasant service. I chose from vegetarian and main menus and was not disappointed. Even the pickiest eaters amongst our gang were singing the praises and rightly so. A class act which never lets us down.

We found Masons on a drive out many years ago . Ever since we have returned many times over the years . Sunday lunch is always excellent . As is every other time we have visited. Whether we go as a couple or bring family and friends the service is always excellent , from the waiters / waitresses/ bar staff/chefs / management . We are now planning my mother in laws 80 th birthday there . Well done Masons .

Masons, is a wonderful experience, service, food, atmosphere first class, also good value for money. The two people who served us were very professional and attentive, we could ask for more to make our afternoon perfect.

We've eaten here many times since it opened. It's always been very good in the past, but today we were really disappointed. We were eating with friends. My risotto was pretty mediocre, but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to spoil the mood. It was only when we were chatting in the car park as we left that the other 3 all commented that their food was almost cold when it arrived. Pretty poor considering how much they charge. Do better, Mason's!

Visited Masons for New Years Day Dinner Was just amazing as always They were offering there Sunday menu this day which suited us fine! Roast Beef, Turkey, Liver and Bacon and Seabass - was all unbelievable food! And the blackcurrant sorbet for dessert is amazing. Great service from everyone there too, definitely worth a visit.

Like this restaurant so chose it for Christmas Day dinner. I thought the restaurant lacked atmosphere a little bit, service was good all v polite some more friendly than others. Meals came out quite quickly, helpings were large.and Turkey was cut quite thick, meals tasted as if they had been pre plated and warmed up. all very enable but at £110 per person just expected something a bit more special, probably wouldn’t return on Xmas day again

Have been to this restaurant many times and will continue to do so as the food is always delicious. Never had a bad meal. Which is why we are regular visitors. The menu is extensive, and there are always new things to try, which keeps it interesting. It has a great atmosphere, warm and relaxing. The staff are always excellent. Attentive friendly and helpful. Had Christmas dinner and it was really delicious as always and we were sat at our favourite table. Thank you. My husband and I went for dinner. What a fantastic experience. From the moment we were taken to our table by a lovely young man called Bradley until the moment we left, he looked after us fabulously. Attention to detail and customer service were first class. The wine was delicious and reasonably priced. But the best part for me was the varied menu for a vegetarian - I had so much to choose from. Overall a great experience and a lovely date night out. We will return especially if we can be served by Bradley again.

Very nice evening over dinner with friends. Smart, spacious restaurant but not stuffy. Ample parking. Good menu and win list. Excellent food and service. Reasonable cost for what we had. Could not fault it.

Second lunchtime visit for us recently. Management/waiting staff friendly and knowledgeable. Food both times has been excellent. Attention to detail also very good-observed a waitress setting up a table, thoroughly ensuring glasses were spotless and free of marks. Good to see. As a coeliac, I was catered for extremely well and appreciated the knowledge of the waitress around the dishes I could and couldn’t eat. They even supply decent gluten free bread, something that another ‘high-end’ restaurant with two local branches seems incapable of doing ( no gf bread at all). Well done Masons!

An exceptional experience for a private party of 31 guests in the function suite. Jay the manager and his multi staffed teams made this large birthday event for lunch so wonderful. Plenty of exceptional food from the kitchen presented by a team of polite attentive waiters but not obviously in the way. I have it from a very trained chef guest the food was excellent and sure the wine selection also suited the menu. I cannot recommend this venue higher.

We are regulars at Masons. We always get a warm welcome, staff are fantastic. The food is excellent, had Sunday lunch yesterday the roast was delicious, crispy roast potatoes and the panna cotta for dessert was the best. Highly recommend

Very disappointing. We all had sticky and sweet pork with noodles. Pork was overcooked,bland and dry, noodles soggy, veg awful. Portions small. Deserts, bread and butter pudding microwaved, lemon tart had seen better days, strawberries tasted old and soggy. Service was ok. Won't be returning

Husband surprised me with a booking at Masons and it definitely lived up to its reputation. We came on a Saturday evening and we had such a lovely time. The food was excellent, piano playing in the background added to the chilled out feel of the beautiful decor. Looking forward to returning
