Visit here for take-away for evening or to eat right away I wish this place had an evening branch where you could get food in evening but no problem to pick up and reheat later . Fresh and really tasty and good prices just £4.50 - try before you buy too which is great . Seating upstairs in market available too so don’t have to go back to work and eat there - and served by a friendly guy! Truly a little gem in Cardiff market ! Particularly welcome food in this cold weather ! Would recommend !

Went here for lunch off a recommendation from a work friend and wow. Just wow. The chef was super friendly and let me have a small sample of each curry to make my choice and I opted for the rendang which he advised was the best seller. Got a massive pot of rice and curry for just 4.50 and would expect to pay double this due to the quality of the food and how much you actually get. Little bit frustrated I found this as it is going to make me spend more on lunch than I ever have before. Look forward to sampling the rest of the menu.

I go to the market at least once a week and always eat here, great curries, varied menu, excellent service and amazing value. £6 for any curry(usually Rendang, yellow, Ayam, Madras and or pumpkin korma) with rice or half and half, with three samosas or spring rolls, dips and a drink! The chef also cooks in Taste of Thailand in Canton which is also fantastic. Highly recommend both places

This place is AMAZING. Woody is a great chef and very friendly. The prices are very reasonable and the food is great, you can have half and half rice and chips, or mix the curries if you cannot choose! The Malaysian Chicken Rendang is out of this world. There are two stools if you want to eat at the food stall but it can be very busy. Also things may sell out if you get there too late. Best takeaway in Cardiff.

The food from Masala Hut is INCREDIBLE! Despite the name of the stall, the super-friendly Woody serves a range of Thai, Malaysian and Indian curries. The Chicken Rendang is my favourite. Genuinely one of the best curries I’ve ever eaten in the world. All are so tasty I keep coming back, and the prices are cheap as anything - £4.50 for a huge portion of curry and rice. Go try this place!

I recently found this place hidden away in the Cardiff Market (around side with all the butchers), and it has become one of my favourite places to get lunch. The gentleman who owns the place is so friendly, and you can tell his super passionate about the food he makes because its absolutely delicious.
