I ordered delivery from this place for the first time, having recently moved to Swansea. I ordered on Just Eat and it arrived in the expected time window, and the delivery guy followed my instructions perfectly. Then I discovered there had been a mix up as I'd ordered chicken korma and chips with onion bhajis, and what I got was a bright red chicken curry with egg fried rice and a naan with meat baked into it. In the spirit of adventure (and hunger) I ate it. Sorry not sorry to whoever actually ordered it. It was all hot (temperature wise) and tasty as heck. Now I just have to find out what it was so I can order it again! But I'll use the Swansea Eats app next time, as recommended in the flyer they popped in the bag. I hope the customer who got my korma enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed their dinner. *burps gently*

Ordered a takeaway last night. Big treat for us - love Indian and Bangladeshi food: 1. It arrived extremely late. 2. The food was revolting in everyway. There was no spice, flavour, seasoning, garlic or chilli in either of the main dishes. Tikka masala and korma allegedly. Bland, tasteless, and brightly coloured with food colouring. The onion bhajis were a joke - boiled onions and again bright pink food colouring. No flavour other than wet boiled onion, no seasoning, barely fried off. Inedible. The veggie samosas? Raw! Inedible. The naan? Didn’t look too bad but was stone cold and extremely doughy - clearly undercooked. How about the “pilau” rice? Plain white rice, unseasoned, with food colouring dropped here and there. Bland and definitely not pilau. These dishes were unrecognisable to their names and were easily the worst “Indian” food we have ever tried. Insulting to Indian restaurants and Indian cuisine to align themselves with them. Avoid at all costs. There is no way this food could be improved, as the sauces are clearly from a jar, watered down and food colouring added and meat/veg stirred through. There was no cooking involved at all, other than presumably a bit of microwaving.

Ordered at 19.15 last night, cancelled at 20.50 they tried delivering at 21.30 told the bloke to take it back. If you can't deliver in a timely manner or say how long the wait is stop doing deliveries, it seems if you eat in the restaurant it is very good so concentrate on that never ordering again waste of time

We ordered a delivery from Masala today. It took nearly 2 hours to arrive and was easily the worst Indian food I’ve ever had (I’ve been eating great Indian food elsewhere in Swansea for over 30 years). Every dish our party of 4 ordered was poor. Each main dish had the same bitter / sour tomato taste despite us all ordering different main dishes from the menu. The food was swimming in oil and was very salty. Swansea has so many great Indian restaurants, there is really no reason to ever go to Masala.

I recently visited Masala with friends and family and each one of us all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. From start to finish the dining experience was exceptional. We started with a few pompadoms and a chutney tray, which featured a new addition as well as the classic mint yogurt, mango chutney and coconut. This new addition was the owners special creation and tasted incredible. One each of our main courses arrived they all smelt and tasted amazing and no one was left disappointed, with everyone commenting on what an incredible meal it was. At the end of the meal, the owner sat down to speak with u and was wonderful gentleman, very friendly and a further reason for us to return in the future. The owners wife was also very generous and offered us all a short cocktail drink, that was a perfect way to finish the dining experience. I would recommend Masala Swansea to anyone looking for a high quality Indian meal with a lovely view of the Swansea bay.

First takeaway from this place as our regular has closed :( efficient delivery-however wrong meal delivered! Phoned to complain, very apologetic and the correct meal was delivered but not for some time. It was however worth the wait-probably the best takeaway curry I have ever tasted-outstanding! Second chances and all that...will be ordering again 👍🏻

I don't know why this place is not jam-packed every night, because it should be! The ambience is pleasant, the staff keen to please, and the food amazingly good. The menu is varied but every dish we have had here is excellent. My husband eats here regularly, and chose to come here for his birthday meal. We were a party of three, though I was the only one having a starter: onion bhajees with a marvellous dipping sauce. After my first mouthful, I said that I could turn vegetarian if I could eat like this every day... Main course choices were chicken makhani for me and lamb sali for the others - all with keema rice. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, and I can't praise it highly enough. We finished with ice cream, then coffee, and refills were offered. There is no car park, but you can park directly outside, on the road, and access is level. I recommend this place unreservedly.

Visited several times recently and always get a friendly welcome. Broader choice of food than many Indian restaurants and very tasty. Really nice house wine at sensible price

had a great evening -food was "proper " the manager/owner was very attentive and tolerant - he composed an excellant menu for the party which avoided the need to "order on the night" and the "melee" that occurs when there is a large party-we were 30 In my opinion the best Bangladeshi resteraunt in swansea will be going back

This restaurant may be off the main stay of central swansea, but don't let that put you off this is a gem of a place and the food is absolutely amazing. Had a chicken chat to start and a chicken labbador with fruits in as main and both were lovely. There were 7 of us and with drinks, starters, sides and mains it only came to £140 for all of us. Great Value. Probably best to book for a large party as it's not the biggest place in the world.

Service was so poor! Not in a rude way, but clearly out of their depth. The food was absolutely terrible, no authentic taste whatsoever. Even the lights went out half way through the meal. There were only 5 people in the place and I've heard this is normally the case; dead in there. Only survive through takeaways - do not waste your time or money.

Standard, usual run of the mill Indian, missing items from my takeaway order, better places to try instead of going back.

Placed a takeaway order tonight, collected it, drove home to find items missing and incorrect. I phoned back and was told the items would be delivered within 20mins, 15mins pass and I receive a call from the restaurant saying I never placed the order, but it appeared and as I explained I'd already collected it and was already home, he would deliver the items if I still wanted them or I could have money off the next time I visit!!!!!!

Very disappointing! Normally so good but today the naan was raw dough (has been refunded by just eat) the samosas smelt off, the curry was very oily. Rice and onion baghi was nice. Mango chutney was like water. Popadoms were crushed to crumbs. Wont be ordering again in a hurry
