Had a lovely dinner. cocktails looked great. food came quickly and efficiently. staff excellent. I enjoyed the food I chose.

Might be my favorite Mexican food near Dundee. It's really really good, margaritas are excellent, and staff is great.

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and the food is absolutely delicious and good value. Loads of vegan options too, which reduced the disappointment that their fully vegan sister restaurant Loco Rita has closed.

Such a lovely place with great Mexican food. Loved having the option of corn tortillas for our tacos. A small but perfectly formed menu. Our highlights were the baja tacos, aubergine quesadilla and jalapeño margarita- so good!

Lovely little place. Food was ace, and clearly caters for vegans with a separate menu. Glad we booked on Tues night as it was full (it is not a large place). Staff were lovely and helped answer some questions. 3 of us ate well, all the food was lovely and tasty. Only issue was the potatas bravas which I felt had a cumin flavour which I found odd.... Tacos were all lovely, bursting with clean flavour with coconut prawn being voted the best. Dessert was limited to 2 and we had both. Churros especially crispy with a soft fluffy centre. And a really nice ice cream provided. The grilled pineapple was a hit as well. Definitely one to try if you have not before.

Great place if you fancy some proper authentic Mexican food. The menu isn't extensive but sufficient. We had tacos, tostadas and churros for dessert. Everything was delicious. Freshly made and perfectly seasoned. Despite going there for lunch on a Saturday, it was quiet. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The place is very small so booking a table is definitely recommended.

The taco fillings are nice, as is the guacamole. They don’t make their own tortillas though, for tacos or for dipping in salsa and guacamole. Negates the experience and at £2 for a small taco, they should. It’s not hard nor requires much space. Street vendors in Mexico make their own, right on the street. I asked the owner why not, the answer was it’s time consuming. Ummm, again, street vendors in Mexico make their own, right on the street. Doesn’t take them much time at all. For proper tacos with fresh made tortillas, head elsewhere.

First time here and was not disappointed. Lovely decor, great food and perfect staff. Do yourself a favour and get down here - as long as flu have CHURROS!!!!

The food was great as was the service I just wish that the food could be staggered a bit especially given how much the pair of us ordered. Will definitely return again though.

Fantastic Dinner this evening. Everything was amazing from the drinks to the food. Tje prawns are amazing as is the steaks. Will certainly be back.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat and managed to get a bar stool at the window, food was superb staff where lovely 👌🏻

We dined for lunch and were really looking forward to tasting many things on the menu. Overall, the food was mostly very good (chicken tacos YUM). However, the steak in my tacos was mostly gristle and not very edible - disappointing when the 2 tacos were £10. The portions you receive for the prices they charge we felt were a bit high - especially when the menu encourages to purchase 2 items per person. Another example, the salsa trio… each salsa came in a tiny tin cup you would normally receive a side of ketchup in. And we had to ask for more tortilla chips as there weren’t many in the basket we first received and were gobbled up quickly. Do get the churros - very good! And the staff was very friendly. I think we overall would think more highly of this spot had we not walked away feeling it was pretty expensive for what we got. Worth a try, just consider our points and make your own judgement.

First of all, great food meets great tunes. Went on a Sunday night so recommend booking if you can. Portion sizes are spot on, flavours absolutely delicious. I got tacos (two per dish), and shared patatas bravas, corn ribs and plate of nachos. Recommend ordering like you would tapas.

Mas is always a lovely place to go. Usual great service, lovely tropical margaritas,but I wasn't so fond of the new coconut batter on the prawns. Atmosphere is always nice. Great place for yummy food!!

No photos of the eaten plate this time. I was gifted a mas voucher for my birthday in August 2023 and decided to keep it for January 2024 to use on Mas @ home as we were expecting a baby. A meal that you heat and eat is a very good thing in those first few weeks! Well, first was the voucher: really glad we didn't wait any longer as it turned out the cold hard cash with no end date was only valid for 6 months. A really short time and given it wasn't for a fixed meal but a fixed value towards the bill, if prices changed during a longer valid duration this would not be a problem so I think this could change to at least 12 months. Onwards to the food; I bought the fiesta box which had 4 tacos and 2 quesadillas, as well as a nacho sharing platter. Really, on the nachos just make half the amount and save the rest for day 2, it was so much we put half of it in the bin because we just couldn't eat no more. The tacos were delicious, great flavour and really enjoyed The quesadillas on the other hand felt more like a tortilla cheese toastie where it was the salsas and pickled red onion that did all the flavour. Maybe that's the intention with the quesadillas here, especially as they need to be suitable to finishing cooking at home when ready to eat, so a tricky one. Overall they were still very enjoyable, but I would have rather than another batch of tacos! The staff whilst I collected were lovely and the restaurant seemed like a great place to dine that I would like to do in house someday.

Had a great dinner here. Been twice and both times it was good, we got a few dishes to share and it was all very flavourful. It is a little pricey if you compare it to the amount of food you get but when you consider the taste I wouldn't say it's unreasonable. Would recommend the fish tacos, by far my favourite dish I've tried.

We love mexican food This little gem is amazing one of Dundee's hidden. Lots to choose from we had two chicken Tinga. Fish taco and beef birria along with quesia fundido X2 also some guacamole dip. The chicken was awesome full of flavour my beef was equally as tasty 😋 The dish that stood out for me was the cheese dip fundido I had to have another hehehe Service was excellent from Lucy and Euan both great smiles and the banter flowed from both thank you guys. We also had the churios they were massive in size and just the right texture sometimes you get one that maybe be too hard or floury not these ones just perfect. Thanks Mas. We will be back Also I would advise to book 🤪

Loved it. Very fresh and tasty food with great staff

As someone who is a huge fan of Mexican food I had been looking forward to coming here for quite some time. However I came away feeling slightly disappointed. The food was fine, though dare i say it, on the bland side? It felt like there was something missing on every dish we had. Can’t quite put my finger on it. It was beautifully presented but didn’t quite have the same zing as Rancho Pancho. All in all disappointing. Won’t be back

Always get a top class meal in Mas. Best dishes in my opinion are the prawn tacos and the cheese fondue with nachos and chorizo

Fantastic food, great service, great value. We loved it!

Went in April and the food was very tasty. However, the atmosphere was a let-down as it was a cold day and the restaurant had no heating on so we were all wearing jackets during the meal. The lights were also not on and there was no music which altogether gave a cold atmosphere despite the food being good.

Was their with the wife and baby, staff were super frendly and food was epic.

Place was busy but they squeezed me in on the window bench. Amazing food. Fish tacos and chicken tacos. Friendly service.

Ive been here maybe 5 or 6 times now and every time its been unbelievable. I cannot go to Dundee without coming here, my favourite restaurant by far!!

First time there but like mexican food so had good idea what to expect. Wasn't disappointed. Four of us there and had two dishes each(one person didn't like one of her choices..spicy watermelon..but none of us did) otherwise the food was excellent. Staff were excellent...friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone.

One of the tastiest Mexicans I’ve had!

At the risk of sounding exaggerated, this was hands down one of the best meals we’ve had of all time. Fish taco, crispy, delicious, and fresh, combined with delicious potatoes, it can’t be beaten. I tried a Michelada for the first time & I have to say it was extremely tasty though not for the faint of heart spice wise nor for those who don’t have adventurous taste!

Owned by the same people as loco Rita’s (the fully vegan Mexican in town). Funnily enough though Mas has a separate vegan menu which is very good, some similarities and some differences between the two restaurants. I would rate Mas higher for delicate flavours and a really great pineapple pudding - a little more elegant that the street food vibe in loco Rita but not by much. I would always go loco Rita’s first to support the vegan business! Mas has been handy for big parties of people who can’t agree on a fully vegan setting.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to in Scotland, with a fantastic atmosphere. The food is all tapas style, which is great for me as I don't like big meals. They have a good varied selection of dishes and a vegan menu. Particularly good were the corn side dishes, crispy mushrooms tacos and the tostadas. One of the taco fillings had pickled watermelon on top which was so good! We splurged and had a flyte of Mezcal too, which we shared between two. We will be back when we come back to Dundee!

Lovely Mexican tapas. Great selection of dishes. Veggie friendly. Crispy mushroom substitute (cauliflower) was excellent. Beer margarita cocktail served in a novel way, great glass and good combination.

Underwhelming sadly. Small (and I mean tiny) portions. Also found what appeared to be a public hair in our ice cream. Needless to say won't be back. Can't fault the front of house staff as they dealt with our finding but still feel sick at the thought of eating hair.

Small, cosy place. Staff were brilliant, whipped up a few cocktails for us and the food is always top tier. I honestly love it here.

Great service and the food is lovely! We weren't aware that it's tapas style service (didn't read the menu properly lol) but once we spotted that, it was no problem to add to our order. Its great that they have zero alcohol Corona too! The one wee thing that I'd have liked is a menu with photos of the food rather than just a description. We will be back 😊

Really great margaritas and meals, just a small venue, so you have to book ahead at weekends. Great service too, just hard to move because the table was a bit small for a party of five.

Went for taco Tuesday and did not regret it! The food was excellent and pretty cheap, most of the expense went to drinks and was well worth it. They also have Mezacl which makes for an excellent margarita. It is a smallish place so it is worth booking in advance.

Came here having seen the fabulous reviews but left feeling quite disappointed with the food. There was nothing bad and the chicken wings were fantastic but everything else was pretty lacking in flavour/seasoning. Frozen margaritas were good and the service was good too.

Absolutely fantastic food, ended up a touch expensive only because we couldn't not try almost everything 😂 100% worth the prices. Lovely cosy restaurant and very attentive staff. Not particularly keen on the dessert options but you'll be full after the mains anyway!

YUM! As a vegetarian I was spoiled for choice. Jalapeño quesadillas and the queso fundido were my highlights. Food was fresh and full of flavour, so were the cocktails and the waitress was super attentive and easy going. Lovely relaxed and fun evening catching up with friends.

Absolutely fantastic. It's the first proper date night me and my wife have had in a while. We loved it. Great food, great atmosphere and most importantly wonderful, welcoming staff that made us feel appreciated. Will go again when we visit Dundee

Gorgeous little place - the street corn is incredible! Staff were attentive and warming, and the tapas style sharing plates meant we could easily share a range of food. Will be back!

Went on Taco Tuesday for the half price tacos. Was not told that the prawn tacos weren't half price. It's marked in a footnote but the menu is so busy that it's hard to notice. Also you don't go for Taco Tuesday expecting an exception for that. Food was good but I think they need to actually tell you that some tacos are not included in the Taco Tuesday deal and therefore not half price.

I don't want to be mean but this was a total disappointment! Maybe eating in experience is better I don't know, but what I took away yesterday (quesadillas, guacamole etc) was not that good! Guacamole was inedible, even worse than a supermarket version and quesadillas.... mhea. On the positive side, the atmosphere inside seemed nice, the staff were nice... So if you decide to go, maybe expect a mediocre Mexican and not the real deal!
