Popped into Las Banderas with client for after work drinks and bite to eat. Food is always great tasting. Staff pleasant. And now they’ve fixed the door issue.

Took clients to Las Banderas. Food always tasty. Good selection. Now have Brewdog IPA in bottles. Still a pain that door has to be kept open

The food choice and service made for a great informal and quiet lunch. The Spanish dishes were tasty, hot and served with a smile.

Let’s get this out of the way: the draught beer (San Miguel) is fresh and the Iberico ham is top notch. The serving sizes are generous for tapas and the staff are friendly and helpful.The food itself though is either overly salted or generally bland. Sometimes oily and sometimes decent. Notable though in this regard is the spiceless Paella , a dish which should be redolent with aromas that heartily exclaim their Spanish origins. However here, it merely succeeds in whimpering for your attention. And at 15£ / plate that’s a relatively expensive proposition.Dear owners and chef, take a chance and spice up the food a tad ! Don’t be shy, you will get steady repeat clientele if you stand out, and not play it so absurdly safe. Cheers.

La comida fue increible. Tomamos tapas y fuimos con 5 platos entre 2 personas. Mi novia ama los calamares y lo ordena en todas partes y dijo que era lo mejor que había probado. La carne de cerdo se derritió en la boca y las croquetas de jamón fueron algunos de los alimentos de mejor sabor que he comido. No me puedo quejar de la comida en términos de calidad. Los platos son caros, pero cuando vi las porciones me impresionó mucho más de lo que esperaba. El servicio estaba bien, consiguieron bebidas, tomaron un pedido de comida y trajeron la comida, pero no era nada que no esperarías en literalmente todos los establecimientos de comida y ciertamente no merecían los 12. 5% de cargo por servicio obligatorio. En general, fue una buena experiencia gastronómica y definitivamente regresaría porque quiero probar el resto del menú.

Came here with some work colleagues. I was the only vegetarian (no eggs) in the group. The first (male) waiter whom I asked regarding allergens did not come back with any details - not good (the only black mark of the visit). The second (female) waiter was much more efficient and produced the allergens menu almost immediately!We all opted for tapas and I went for the mushrooms and blue cheese, the chickpea and spinach stew and the tomato and goat cheese. Orders arrived relatively swiftly and all tasted very good.Prices were not cheap (the three tapas dishes alone came to £18, without service), but it is in central London so not surprising.

Love going to this great tapas restaurant. Try to take clients when I can. Never had a bad experience. Food always good, staff polite. Only down side is they have to keep door open in winter due to smells wafting up into offices above.

Reservé este restaurante hace un tiempo para alojarme en Londres nr Tower Hill, con un amigo. Ambos amamos absolutamente, amamos, amamos este lugar. Ambiente fabuloso con gente del trabajo, etc. Comida absolutamente deliciosa. Teníamos la fuente para comenzar y luego conseguimos una paella de mariscos para 2, que era suficiente. Los cócteles muy bien también. Recomiendo encarecidamente una visita.

Fuimos aquí otra vez para tomar una copa, volvemos de vez en cuando, ¡así que debe estar bien! Nos sentamos en banquetas altas y es un lugar interesante, observando a la gente corriendo por la estación. Cuando hace buen tiempo, nos gusta sentarnos afuera, las sillas todavía están allí, pero en este momento hace demasiado frío. También hay una zona de estar para los comensales. El vino es bueno Como mencioné antes, no es barato sino un entorno agradable.

We went on a groupon voucher - 2 taps each plus a generous glass of house red. Service was welcoming and prompt and the food was very tasy and filling. I was ready to order more but extra was not needed. Very happy to return.

Great food. Meatballs were to die for. Good cocktails I had the raspberry margarita it was awesome. The staff were friendly I managed to sneak in a lil cake for my mates birthday and at the end of the meal they put a candle on top sang and brought the cake out it was lovely xxx

Taken here for lunch in a party of five including two people who are vegetarian. Clear menu indicating which items are suitable for vegetarians and which are gluten free. A good selection of tapas dishes for sharing. Food was good quality and service was excellent.

Again we went here for drinks and these are served efficiently. The drinks are on the pricy side so I was quite shocked that they charged £3 for a tidy bowl of peanut type snacks - usually free in Spanish restaurants!

Good food and the service was super friendly. I made a reservation online just a half hour before for just myself (traveling for business), and they confirmed it almost immediately. If you are a chocolate lover, definitely save room for the chocolate fondant with ice cream. Delicious!

Have been here several times before, usually just for a refreshment. The house white is good value and the ambience is very nice. The staff are always friendly.

Authentic Spanish tapas which were really yummy, staff were attentive and my Daughter loved it ( she is Spanish). Not expensive for London and we will definitely be going back.

I work next door to Mas Q Menos so visited for a ladies lunch in the week. This was my first time here and I loved it. I had the Nordes gin with Mediterranean tonic and it was amazing! To eat we had the Tortilla Espanola, Gambas Pil Pil, tiger prawns, octopus, chorizo and roasted aubergine and it was faultless! I will definitely be back!

The place has an amazing design and Spanish vibe. We were going to another place to have dinner with my friend which was closed, so we both liked this place and we went back to check it out.It was an amazing choice, just what we needed tonight. The Sangria was delicious, it reminded me to my Spanish days when I used to live there. All the tapas plates had quality meat and cheese on them. We absolutely loved it!

I am a sucker for Spanish food (Paella, croquettas, etc). The interior is beautiful, very relaxing and comfortable and the food is delicious and very authentic for being in London. They even had Mahou and San Miguel beer! If you haven't had Spanish food or are looking to try something new I highly highly recommend this restaurant!!

Once located (the entrance is on London Street, not Mark Lane as the address would suggest) you are greeted by an airy, vibrant and comfortable restaurant.

I had just returned from 5 months in Spain and was craving authentic Jamon and Spanish vibe generally.

Although the food was very nice, ordering online meant that when it arrived it was not hot. The bag that my food was delivered in had completely disintegrated by the time it got to me as the lids are too big for the boxes they are put on.

El restaurante es agradable y hasta el viernes por la noche no estaba abarrotado. Yo no he tenido una comida completa aquí pero lo haremos en el futuro. Los jamones españoles buen aspecto. La tortilla era auténtica. Esta rama no está abierto los sábados y domingos.

Mi amigo sugirió este restaurante hace un par de meses, y desde entonces ha sido nuestro lugar para ir catchups! Un lugar precioso y no demasiado lejos de la estación, es sin duda vale la pena una visita. De haber estado en España unas cuantas veces (y siempre que faltaba la comida buenísima), es un lindo escape del bullicio de la ciudad. Pedimos unos cinco platos (tomar las típicas, tortilla española, etc. Desde su menú de tapas) y no nos decepcionó. Principalmente pidió la vegetariana comida vegetariana, así que/por alguien pregunto si se encargan de su dieta, hay muchas opciones para usted (extra! ). La comida llegó en una buena cantidad de tiempo, y sus cócteles encantadora y lista de vinos significa que pueden disfrutar de una bebida mientras espera. El personal ha sido siempre muy agradable y complaciente, así que más que si prefiere un poco más tranquilo, pregunta si hay asientos disponibles abajo. El ambiente está en su punto y te encontrarás perdido en la música, comida y bebidas, lo que crea un ambiente estupendo que nos mantiene regresando. Si tienes espacio para el postre, entonces vale la pena probarlo!

Estado aquí unos cuantos veces y es bueno. Actualizar menú recientes pero aún tienen los antiguos favoritos. Bueno, bien tallada jamón así que no es grueso y duro. Algunos platos buenos y diferentes hasta todo el camino o el Barcelona esquina. Vinos de una lista bastante corta y Mahou a un euro de barril (creo).

My friend and I have been here twice now. Both times we intended just to pop in for a drink and both times we have stayed for hours. Neither time have we struggled to get a table (even to get a seat outside on a sunny Friday evening) and the service has been perfect. Staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is great. We are heading back on Friday with another friend and this time we are hoping to try the food too! We can't wait and have made this our local hang out and place to grab a drink on the way home as it's so convenient to get the train from Fenchurch street.

Didn't expect to find such a great and accessible restaurant in the city. Looking smart or casual, you will be welcomed by very lovely and friendly people. You will have a lot of choice, many tapas, paellas, platters or salad, everything looks and taste great. For sure, you've just won a new regular customer !

Went one evening with work colleagues as we were staying in London the night. Great food, and lots of choice. We just ordered as much tapas as we could get away with, and tucked in!

I've been here with a friend of mine on a Friday evening. The atmosphere was nice but nothing particularly amazing. Staff attentive until we ordered, then they basically forgot about us and it took us a while to catch their attention again. We had to ask three times for some water. Food was good but to be honest some dishes are a bit overpriced and so is the sangria which I wouldn't recommend.All in all a nice dinner, I might go back again.

First visit to Mas Q Menos. The City branch is a good location, and as you walk in the door you receive a warm welcome. The decor has a great Spanish look and feel, with comfortable tub seating. On offer was a number of typical Spanish dishes, we selected a number of Tapas which were great including Pulpo a la Gallega (Octopus); Gambas Pil Pil (Prawns); Estofado de Cerdo (Pork stew) and some not so great Patatas Bravas (Potatoes with spicy tomato sauce); Tortilla Española (Potato and onion omelette) and Croquesta de Jamōn (Ham croquettes).Limited wine list with a number of interesting Spanish wines on offer, we went for the 2015 Plot 22 mix of Airen and Sauvignon Blanc from the La Mancha, good flavour at a reasonable price.Friendly staff who provided a good service.

Mas Q Menos City has great location near iconic landmarks. It has a typical vibrant Spanish energy look and feel. The only tiny criticism I would offer is the sea food paella is total tasteless and unauthentic, but maybe I'm a bit picky or got really unlucky. When asked how my food was, I said "not great" the answer was thank you. I was left assuming I was not heard or they didn't really care. Hope your experience was better than mine. If it was make sure you review them, because the atmosphere was really great!!!

My second visit and everything was perfect. Food, atmosphere and service -great . Big thanks to our manger ( guy from Brasil ) and waitress. Can't wait for next visit .

Business lunch today with lawyer and banker! So welcome diversion to have lunch in a really buzzing place. Excellent fast service with very smiley staff. Nicely kitted out place. Music so not totally good for serious lunch but good fun. Decent tapas and good wine list. Very reasonable prices. Will go again!

I came for my birthday with my partner. Really enjoyed the evening, great food, wine and Great atmosphere. The manager Nader and all the staff made my birthday amazing with a great surprise cake and candle and the whole place sang happy birthday. Highly recommend a night out here as its in the centre of the city and close to bars and clubs.

Despite receiving a confirmation of my booking the previous evening, there was no record of it when I arrived but we were quickly shown to a table.The food was pretty good but, apart from one young male waiter who was very helpful and attentive, the service was fairly average. When my friend dropped her knife on the floor, it was promptly picked up by a passing waiter but not replaced. The female member of staff came out of the ladies' toilet as I was waiting to go in and didn't bother to advise me that there was no toilet paper! It wouldn't have difficult to ask me to wait while it was replenished! I had to tell a staff member that there wasn't any toilet paper and could they pls replenish it. When we wanted to get the bill, most of the staff were congregating around bar area and it was difficult to get anyone's attention. Once we received the bill, it was even harder to get someone to take our money. We even stood up, put our coats on and still no-one came over. Eventually I had to ask if they'd like to take our money!Although I enjoyed the foot I would think twice about returning based on the service.

We went there to celebrate anniversary last week and were lucky to be served by an amazing waitress Ksenia, who skilfully paired wines throughout the meal and also was able to make good recommendations about the tapas. The food was good- fresh and tasty. The prices are very reasonable. I definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who is looking to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere.

We decided to try here as it was close to the station. We found it a throughly disappointing experience. The waitress brought over the wrong order three times. When the food did arrive it was terrible. The bread had obviously been cut with a knife used on fish and tasted awful. We then had a pile of jamon iberico which was more fat than anything and manchego cheese that was good hard to eat. The worst bit of the meal was the large piece of red plastic I found inside one of the croquettes.On the plus side we did really enjoy the wine.Will be returning to Iberica in the future.

I took my wife there for valentines dinner. When we just walked in the restaurant we already liked it because it looked really nice and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. And they just kept surprising us with the food (wich looked really good and tasted even better ) , wine that they serve was very nice and not expensive and the staff was really helpful. They gave as an advice for the food and they wasn't trying to rip us off because they was adviceing not the most expensive food but the best food. We enjoyed the restaurant from the first step in there until we left. Really nice and quiet place for any occasion. 5 stars for everything.

Was there with work colleagues last week. It is very well located across Fenchurch Street station. The tapas were delicious so we kept it coming to go with our drinks. Impeccable service from Eros with very professional wine recommendations. The ambience is very nice and conducive to taking clients for a drink. Overall good value considering it's prime location.

Myself and my partner visited here about a year and a half ago and really enjoyed some tapas, paella and drinks however we visited last night and was a little disappointed with the food. Definitely didn't seem fresh and not even particularly very well cooked frozen food. The food came out almost straight after we ordered which, to me, seems like it had been sitting there ready to go. The patatas bravas (definitely from frozen) weren't even crispy on the outside. We got a good deal with Tastecard so our meal didn't cost much but I'm not going to rush back there. Thoroughly enjoyed the wine though so maybe just stick to wine and olives next time! The service was great and the staff exceptional.

Visted last night, meal was very poor; we sent back the calemari as they where not fresh infact i think they may have been frozen.Prawns where ok, chip bravas again ok, they did taste like the frozen ones from lidl.Despite sending back the calemari i was charged on the bill, which i then corrected.For sure i wont be back

We have been here several times most recently yesterday. When this branch first opened they were great and served the best beef carpaccio I have ever had. Over time the quality of the food has steadily declined. There was nothing awful in our six dishes but nothing good either. Prawns and calamari from frozen as are the croquettes. All merges into a tasteless mush. I do find it annoying when I know that they can serve good quality food but choose not to.Doubly annoying was the fact that they claimed to have stopped honouring their loyalty scheme - given that I have run up lots of business and personal bills there is was surprised to hear that the points were now worthless. They made this seem like my problem which, to be fair, it turned out to be. I did have a nice bottle of wine for £20 which made up for things a bit.

Awful food. The worst tapas restaurant I've ever eaten at in terms of quality, taste and Spanish cuisine. The decor is great with large open feel to it. The waiters are professional. Worrying that investment was made into the visual look of the place but someone forgot to think about the food quality - the essence of a restaurant.

Lovely decor and atmosphere but hugely disappointed with the food. We sat by the bar so I could clearly see everything being microwaved and a pot of meatballs sitting on a hob. There is definitely no freshly prepared food. It came out very quickly and the quality was poor. Calamari was very thick and soggy, meatballs were chewy and the patas bravas were reheated dry potatoes. would not go back there to eat, not authentic fresh cooked tapas. The staff were lovely and the decor is lovely.

Went to the theatre and decided to stop in this bar for a bottle of red and some tapas as we were feeling a little peckish. Great tapas bar which you can enjoying eating at the bar or a seated area. We decided to sit at the bar so we chatted to the bar staff and they recommended some of the dishes that we chose. Great atmosphere with nice comfortable bar stalls. Wine was really good and reasonable too

The staff is just awesome! Atmosphere and ambience is nice and comfy. The food is delicious, you have to try the chocolate fondue. Great assortment of wines, cheeses and dry meats.

I visited yesterday with my daughter.Pros: I found the restaurant to be clean, well presented & attractive. It has a very friendly ambience and the service was excellent- attentive & effective.Cons: the food. It was ok, and edible, but only that. From ordering to table was a matter of minutes - the kitchen is tiny & by the taste of the food I think a lot of it was merely reheated. It arrived too quickly to have been freshly cooked. As I said, we ate it & it was ok but it didn't blow me away. Odd calamari - hadn't been deep fried, it was sort of "floppy" & potato bravas were odd too! Also pretty expensive - an average of £6 per dish. I feel a little guilty giving 3* as the staff were lovely. There is potential but the food needs to improve.

Really impressed with this small venue situated in the City just outside Fen church Street Station...very convenient for commuters and city workers!Very tasty tapas, good selection of wine, attentive service and nice ambience. Reasonably priced. Would recommend and will definitely return!

Amazing place for meet ups with friends, authentic Spanish food was served in minutes accompanied by good music, it was exactly what I wanted after a long working day!

We met friends for pre dinner drinks at this tapas bar. When we arrived they did not have a table for four so the gentleman (poss the manager) asked a couple would they mind moving so we could all sit down. They kindly did so so we were seated quickly. Drinks were delivered swiftly. Good service would definitely return next time to eat too as the food looked good and smelt delicious.

Went here with 3 friends for dinner and used our tastecard (50% off tapas). We ordered 15 tapas dishes between us. Service was decent but the food arrived very quickly after ordering, which shouldn't happen if the food is freshly prepared. It was then that we realised all the food was being microwaved - we could see and hear it across from our table behind the bar. I wouldn't have minded this so much but the restaurant seems to pride itself on quality and microwaving food doesn't really reflect that. The pedron peppers were good, as were the chorizo chickpeas and squid. But the octopus was not cooked through, which is worrying, and the patatas bravas were essentially chips with tomato sauce and mayo on top. To top it off, we paid the bill to then find that we'd been overcharged but because we'd already paid, the guy (who I have to guess was the manager) said we couldn't be reimbursed. He offered us dessert which We took to go, but as you can see from the photo - it wasn't great. Wouldn't return and definitely wouldn't pay full price for a microwaved meal.

If your really into Tapas and Spanish cuisine then you will really like this place as it definitely beats that high street chains like La Tasca and Ortgeas. However it's not cheap for what it is and the amount you get, £5.25 a pint and about £7:50 a bowl of tapas, which at their recommendation of two or three per person can become quite expensive compared to other places in the city. I popped in for light lunch for 3 and came out with a £60 bill and not overly full.

As this was my first visit in this place i was supriced really good when i just mentioned that it was my birthday a few days ago and one young man (from the management i would guess) who said that his name was like ice-cream propoused to me and my wife to get a bottle of gran reserve for the price of a ceranon (our original choice) as a gift for my birthday!!! The place was not very busy so he came and gave us his full attention which i found very nice! Thanks Ice-cream.DEFINITELY WILL RETURN!

It wasn't a bad meal and wasn't great, just really average. paprika was heavy in the dishes, the bread wasn't great and the service was not brilliant even. It's not authentic tapas and it's not modern it's just average food and for £200 for 4 that's just not good enough! Shame, as it has so. Cub potential....

Disappointing visit to this restaurant with my two daughters. The menu was very uninspiring with none of the slightly different dishes we have come to expect in tapas bars. The food was well cooked and the service quite good but I was disappointed to find that we had not been advised that it was happy hour when we ordered our drinks ( only discovered this because of a notice in the loos). Quite expensive for what we had.

I took my wife,son and his girlfriend to this restaurant for his birthday and it was a real joy. The tapas was excellent we had many courses over a 3 hour stay all of which were delicious. It is a really easy going restaurant with no rushing, I highly recommend anyone who likes tapas to give it a try

Small restaurant with a lively atmosphere.The staff were attentive and very friendly.There is a good range of food choices, we chose to eat from the Tapas menu and chose six dishes between the two of us.All the dishes were of well presented and the portion size was good for Tapas.We enjoyed all the dishes .

Had lunch with a friend. Luckily he met up with me before arrival as the address is Mark Lane but the actual entrance is a side road off....very confusing for anyone new to the City. Food good and the service was excellent .Prices were higher than I expected but not eating in the City that often I would assume them to be par to the norm

I was fortunate to be here with some Spanish friends so the review is based on some opinion that is not totally my own. We were lucky to get hold of a Group-on deal for a glass of beer/wine and two mains with a portion of Pan Catalan (Toasted bread with tomato) each. As there were 6 of us we ordered 12 dishes. I would recommend the Berenjenas Gratinadas (Aubergines in tomato and red pepper sauce) and Chorizo a la Sidra (sausage infused with paprika cooked in cider). The biggest disappointment was the Gambas Pil Pil (Flash fried prawn) which frankly was some olive oil cooked prawns. I have cooked a better tapas dish at home with garlic, paprika, sherry and prawn. The Bread by the way was delicious.The service was adequate and we had no issue but this is probably due to the place being quite empty on a Friday night. Although looking very comfortable inside I felt there was no real privacy from the outside world unless you are downstairs. The Windows could do with some opacity so the clients feel more comfortable and away from the stress of the outside city. I imagine that this Mas Q Menos (not an easy name to remember by the way) is popular for lunch amongst the office crown but for me it is not a place I would go out of my way to visit with its average Tapas.

The food was not great and I'm unsure if I'd visit again. I've definitely had better in the city like osieria del mercato in leadenhall market

Service nothing to write home about.. Tapas quality very average.. Only good thing is it's on taste so it's cheap!I've been twice and the tapas is really quite bad, poor quality.. Unauthentic taste.. Much better tapas around

Quick dinner following meetings, nice venue if a little squashed in, food is passable, good wine election and fantastic Iberico selection, cheeses and all the regular tapas dishes. Nice for a bite but little atmosphere or peashooter with the staff....

The service was dire in spite of it being a very quiet Monday night in the city. After giving up stale bread, which was returned they only brought it back toasted! The food was so over seasoned that we had to send some back! The rather confrontational chef then gave me a complimentary chilli with the bill (I still don't get that!) for the money it's not worth it!!

Was here with a couple of colleagues for a tapas lunch and was pleasantly surprised, as it is very close to my office (Fenchurch street), the quality of the food is good and the staff is very nice and friendly. Will come here again.

Firstly, the address for this tapas bar says it is in Mark Lane, but it's really in London Street, which is just off of Mark Lane, right close to Fenchurch Street Station (just mention this, so you don't get lost looking for it...!). It is a bright, modern, café style tapas bar (personally, I think "restaurant" would be too grand a name for it). The staff were very welcoming, friendly, cheerful and attentive - 10 out of 10! We had a voucher, giving us a good deal with 2 tapas dishes each, some artisan bread (i.e. with garlic and chopped tomato on it) and a glass of wine each and so it was very good value, but I have to say the food was very average. The tortilla was fine, as was the chicken in mayonnaise, but the croquettes and meat balls were a little mushy and bland and we definitely wouldn't order those again. Having said that, I would give it another try, as maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes. Very handy for the Tower of London, Monument, trips on the Thames from Tower Pier, etc., etc.

We had a number of foreign visitors and had to take them out. We had spotted the Christmas menu and thought it would make life easy by avoiding any choice. We found out that if we had four bottled of wine we got a fifth free. We managed that. The place had a nice buzz, the staff were fun and the food was excellent. It really hit the spot.

Found this tapas restaurant close to where we were staying. It looked nice and had quite a few diners. We ordered 7 dishes to share but we're disappointed, especially the patatas bravas which we have eaten many times before at other tapa places,must boring and tasteless.

He had a group of 5 for drinks and tapas. Some drinks took over 15 minutes to arrive....unacceptable. The tapas were good quality. The facility is new and modern. We had a good time but service was sloooow.

There's been a flurry of City tapas options in recent years. Some of varied quality. This provided comprehensive tapas options with all the traditional favourites. Decent wine options even by the glass. Prompt, attentive staff.

This place serves bland Spanish style tapas and has a very small and disappointing wine list. Having been to many tapas restaurants i expected much more. Service was ok but when a guest complained about the dessert the waitress shrugged and did not offer a replacement or a refund which tells you about the type of establishment this is.

I tried a lot of spanish restaurants in london and many of them they are pretty good but this one is pretty awful. The waiters, manager and chefs are so bad organized. Gave me wrong food and rude when you tell them that they are wrong. I will never come back

Anyone with any idea of what good food is and what constitutes good customer service will find this place is severely lacking in both departments. The food, whilst there are some nice dishes, is mainly pre-made and blasted in a microwave. The service has improved slightly but it still feels like a low-budget remake of Fawlty Towers. If you are going for tapas in this area go to Camino.

Portions are tiny, not very tasty considering Tapas. Arrived at different times with ages in between & had run out of a particular one plus service was slow. Don't know if there are any downstairs but only one toilet.

Bright and cheery. Good food. Good service. Near Fenchurch station. The flatbread with chicken and the flatbread with ham and cheese were delicious.

Great promise but woeful delivery. It could be good but it's all cooked in a microwave, tasteless food which was passable for us after a few drinks but not the taste of Spain we were hoping for. You would simply never find a tapas bar this bad in Spain. The waiter struggled with our English, let alone when we tried to speak a little Spanish to make things easier, and the food was completely standard, yet the price of a decent dinner. Before choosing here we considered going home to eat, or even popping into Pizza Express but decided to try here as it had newly opened and we love tapas. We should have gone home. £70 bill and it was all bland and luke warm. We wanted to love this place but it was just awful.
