Marlborough Arms in Norwich

An excellent pub, four real ales, all from Norfolk micros. The landlord was lovely and served his beer in festival lined glasses. The Bar Billiards table is in top nick and Champions League footy was on the telly. A superb corner street local in NR3.

Sunday lunch for 6 and we all thoroughly enjoyed the top notch food and great service. I had the perfectly cooked beef which was accompanied by ample trimmings, all very tasty! Highly recommended 👍

Had a couple of beers. The bar person was very friendly and helpful and suggested tasters to help make the decision. The bar was empty but a good choice of music was being played to help create an atmosphere and the bar person did their best to engage with friendly chat. The 2 aged cask beers we had were well kept and tasted very good. Unfortunately as driving I was unable to sample any more at the time.

Up there locals pub. Had an amazing band on when I visited, it's the sort of pub that's becoming rare- use it or lose it..

Had a fantastic roast here last wknd , everything was on point and couldn't fault it , I really liked the option of having two meats , the chicken and beef I chose were obviously good quality and cooked well. The cauliflower cheese is one of my favourite items, and the one here was excellent. Will be returning.

Its an excellent british pub. Live music on some nights, pool tab, good beers and price is ok. I can't rate the food as kitchen shut when i visited but it was late but obviously has pub snacks so 5* anyway.

Enjoyed our roast from the pie lass last week. Extra cauliflower cheese was worth paying for. I like the beers too. I had a Lacons. Lots of choice available. The bar lady was on her own initially however and things took time too caught up. Hey ho. Could happen to any pub. Keep up the good work.

Really good veggie/vegan roast dinner! No need to book (at least we didn't have to), cosy pub vibes, and really good quality, well priced food. Will definitely be back.

Called in for a Sunday roast yesterday. I had the Rare Top Rump which was delicious and cooked to perfection. The portions were very generous, it was served with a gravy boat,large yorkshire, roast potatoes, parsnips plus a bowl of mixed vegetables. There are other options on the menu, all in all a very enjoyable experience!

Didn't eat. Great atmosphere, non chart music on the stereo - ska this time, rock on a previous occasion. Not the cheapest pint in the city, but where is these days? Friendly staff, kitchy decor. Would recommend.

What a wonderful Sunday roast! Service nice and friendly. Pub has a great atmosphere with football shown on screens and live music setting for the evening. Another great experience in NR3. We didn't book and got served straight away. Will definitely go back to have this delicious roast again!

Visiting Norwich & our first time at The Marlborough and we had great time! Sat outside & had mahoosive burgers: especially the double stack & pulled pork ones went down like a treat. Good vibes & many TV screens for the football.

The new Marlborough is already a marvellous pub with a great selection of beer - the tiny rebel IPA is our favourite. Now they do food - my husband loves chicken wings and this bowl of honey, ginger and soy wings made him very happy. We will be trying more off the menu, the small plates looked good.

Such a lovely place to have a couple drinks, wasn't planning to go but so glad that I decided to have a seat outside. The staff are friendly and constantly making sure the customers are satisfied.

Fantastic experience post lockdown. Really friendly and attentive service with a great pub atmosphere. Superb selection of beers something for everyone at a reasonable price. Refreshing mix of tradition and modern sensibilities, can imagine visiting again with the family and friends as a prime example of what Norwich (NR3) has to offer.

Beer fair price but closed early at 10•30 .Told by barmaid no more as we are closed so won't be going back as l came from the city not good

Good place to sit outside of in the summer. Not particularly child friendly as most outside seating is on the corner of the street. Pool table and some food seating as well as bar. Very much a local's pub with some American styling and live music from time to time.

Made to feel very welcome! When the kitchen is about to close and you haven't ordered you are made to feel rushed! Food is good a bit overpriced especially the dessert! Friendly towards children. The children's portions are very big could easily split between 2!

One of those pubs where you walk in and feel at home instantly. Friendly, welcoming, lovely inside, quite honestly the best pub I've been in in Norwich. I live 5 miles away but I'm going to make this my local!

Local pub with a good selection of wine and beers. Decent decor and several different seating areas so you don't feel like you are in a beer barn. Good access if you're using walking sticks, not too sure if a wheelchair could get in the door. Outdoor seating is a bit exposed to the road, but does make it possible to bring a dog.

I often bring mates here when they visit from afar, and I'm never disappointed. It's relatively recently been given a makeover, which has been done well to maintain its history/charm but has also given it some modern necessities. Alongside a really active social calendar, including a weekly quiz and regular live music, there's good food deals and free darts and pool! Highly recommended if you want a few good beers with some friendly locals, in a lively and atmospheric boozer that offers all the trimmings. Perfect for me too as it's right on my doorstep!

It was a nice pub that was constantly bustling. It's quite a local pub but that adds to its charm.

Under new management. Food we got was , very nice, good value too. Haven't had the roast but have heard good things. Looking forward to going back and trying the burgers and puddings.
