Marks & Spencer Foodhall Cafe in Peterborough

Very disappointed as I ordered avocado smashed with poached eggs It was loaded with dried chilly i chocked very badly so couldn5 eat Have given one star as the waitress was very helpful gett8ng me a glass of water

Flat white served in a modest sized cup and not hot enough. Felt as though I’d wasted £3.15 . Should’ve gone stronger corner to Costa maybe

Have visited the Hampton M&S a few times but think that will be it for me. It’s so cold in there it’s just not a pleasant experience. My coffee was not hot…..again. Previously I have taken it back and they have remade it but this time I just couldn’t be bothered. I asked for 1 shot Americano but was still strong and because it was luke warm just not nice. Definitely Costa in Next for me next time.

Called in for bacon butty and coffees on first week of re-opening. Seem to be forgotten despite 4 members of staff having a lovely chat behind the counter. Had to remind them about food as parking time was running out. One lovely lady offered free cup of coffee as mine had gone cold before food arrived. Culd do better @ £14+

Fed up going here to find that I have to serve myself in the shop. Apparently they ‘don’t have anyone on the tills after 1700’ so my answer to that will be to shop somewhere else where they do. I already have a job and it doesn’t involve working at a till. After a hard day at work I have no intention whatsoever doing someone else’s job for them. In addition when I have done it in the past approximately 50% of the items don’t scan/need you to call someone to log in so it actually takes longer than if they just put someone on the till.

The coffee and cakes/sandwich selection here is always good, staff are friendly and it is spotlessly clean but no matter when I go in here it is always freezing cold. When its hot outside the aircon is on and blowing a gale and when it cold outside there is no heating. Lovely spot if you don't mind being cold.

Called in for a cup of tea and a cake but had very little choice. No scones and hardly any cakes.. Service was exceptionally slow and there were very few customers. Staff were friendly. Premises were clean, tables cleared and we will visit again. A bit of heating would help

There are several places to eat in the Hampton centre but the m&s cafe is conveniently situated next to the main entrance and mainly faces competition from the two Costa cafes. If you are visiting the M&S food hall then the cafe is attached to this. They mainly do toasties and sandwiches but several more substantial meals and burgers and jacket potatoes are available. The staff are friendly and the quality and range of food and drink is good rather than exceptional and the cafe is well worth a visit whilst shopping.

M&S has the BEST scones! This cafe was a great spot for a nice scone with clotted cream and jam. The coffees were nice, too.

Stopped by for a bite to eat and coffee. This Café is very small and cosy and luckly it wasn't busy when we visited so got a table fairly easily. Coffee is always good in M&S and their toasted teacakes are a winner.

I had initially planned a coffee in Costa's but Saturday afternoon queues were too long, so I decided to have a coffee at Marks & Spencers food hall cafe. The coffee and service was ok, but the big disappointment was the seating. No comfortable, welcoming seating that makes a coffee a pleasure. Instead you get hard fixed seating and tables, no comfort or welcoming ambiance here. This was a major disappointment.
