Marks and Spencer in Lancaster

Great food great customer service. Good selection of foods and clothing nice cafe on the second floor serves hot and fresh food .

First, a big THANK YOU to a lady named Kim in the ladies section. She really helped me sort out exactly what I needed. She had infinite patience, a lovely helpful attitude. A nice store all round with a lovely café.

Rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. Don't book a bra fitting system let's you book when no one is in to do it. They then send you to store manager to complain and he isn't even in the building he's actually on holiday. Totally unorganized chaos.

Store is nice and cleaner than most stores in the UK cleaners are even more helpful than other cleaners

Don't go often but groceries always super quality.

A disappointingly small store so not much in the way of choice of ladies clothes. The changing rooms downstairs were filthy. Full of dustbunnies and obviously hadn't been cleaned for quite some time. Never been to such shabby changing rooms.

It's a typical M&S, a medium sized food hall, ladies clothes downstairs, men's upstairs together with a small café.

tried to exchange a jumper bought in newcastle. told i needed the receipt yet . also states on labelstyle number and retain for returns. picked up item at click and collect, no receipt. was told by a person in customer service to return item to newcastle store!

Really lovely sales assistant helped us out with shopping and tourist information! Great store and fab swimming costumes!

Marks is what it is. Their on line collection has changed and is very confusing and the returns are worse if like me you don't have an iPhone

I love the wide food choices in such a small supermerket. Lunch take away options are fresh and healthy too. There's often a good offer on wines and on family dinners.

I ordered soup with the option of ciabatta bread or a bun. They don’t serve buns so one slice of white bread 50P

Layout of the store was chaotic during our visit to the point where it was difficult to actually walk around from one aisle to another due to the lack of space. Store felt like it needed to close for a few hours and have a bit of a rejig and a tidy up to actually allow people to browse and move. Maybe it was just Christmas and to be expected but it was frustrating. Toilets upstairs were handy and the shop itself sold the usual high quality stock that you come to expect in M&S. Clothing department was best part of the store and the cafe seemed popular.

Not the biggest but still excellent food choice

I had excellent service from Debs on the ground floor on the 22/11/22 around 14.48 after she did my refund Debs went up stairs to collect my parcel for me, due to becwuse i am using crutches

A lovely choice of good quality food at comparable prices.

Called in to the CAFE at Marks and Spencer, little bit disappointed to be honest, the bacon bun was incredibly small and the bacon was chewy, the cappuccino was great and the presentation was superb. The last time I came to the CAFE was about 3yrs ago and it was great then, sadly I don't think I'll be choosing M&S for breakfast again.

My favourite food shop in Lancaster. Brilliant for a whole array of salad tackle, fruit, breads, and cheeses. The slaws and the potato salads are especially divine. And they have five different brands of feta. Moreover, prices seem reasonable when compared with other shops that do a similar classy take on the supermarket, for instance Booths.

The staff are just SO lovely and helpful.

Visited the Lancaster store cafe this morning and was served by a lovely lady who was friendly and knew how to give great customer service, sadly lacking in much of the retail environment today. I should have got her name but didn't, she's a credit to the store anyway

Disappointing that (almost) all staff in the Lancaster shop (that I saw) were no longer wearing masks.

I bought a sandwich and a can of pop. I spent almost 15 minutes queuing to pay. There were only 4 people in front of me, but the person serving was also making the coffees. I love proper coffee, but if you're going to serve it, you need table service.

The food section is great! We love M&S meal deals and the fresh nommy garlic bread. The cakes are also great, the coffee is probably the best supermarket coffee we've had. Sadly the clothes selection is kinda meh and not somewhere we shop for clothes.

At this morning's visit to the Lancaster store we purchased several food items including the meal for 2 @ £12. At the checkout they would not accept our " one for all " voucher. On returning home we discovered that all items had been costed separately so that we paid full price for the 2for£12 items. On ringing to complain I was disconnected. One star is too much!

Only a food shop today but plenty choice and got want i needed. Also a lovely assistant at checkout thank you 😊

Great shop just wish it was bigger

Ironically the brand that made its name selling clothes is better at providing food and booze. I shop for my 80 year mum in here when she likes to buy a blouse, top, skirt etc. Personally thier clothes do nothing for me. However, their food and selection of wines are superb. Seriously if you have never considered buying food here have a look. It's not cheap but my word it's delicious.

Went the cafe before heading home to Leicester and the girls that served us were lovely

The cafe was struggling yet again with not being able to make hot food. A regular event lately. Also, I was returning a faulty dressing gown to get a replacement, yet since buying it last week, they have removed all the stock. Is it any wonder M &S are apparently struggling.

Not much choice and intent on putting themselves out of a job by suggesting I bought online. Quite sad really!

The cafe is excellent but the shop overall is too small and virtually everything has to be ordered in.

Popped in for something for my tea came home with a lovely sweater!!enjoyed a coffee using free voucher ,visited toilet all in all pleasant hour spent in warm friendly store

M&S always equates with good quality. Unfortunately, this store is small and choice is limited.

A smallish M&S. It is big enough to have a good walk around. The usual stuff in it. Not my style though.

Good choice of food, again expensive. CHECK your dates I have made the mistake on several occasions of not checking and have come home with either out of date food or the date is the last day for consumption. So for that reason it has to be a 3 star.

I do like M&S Lancaster just a pity it's not twice the size. I got what I wanted, sizes seemed a bit limited though. You can order online but I wanted stuff today. Always a busy store, staff pleasant and willing to help.

staff members stood talking about washing her hair and how she need to brush it in shower. I waited for a good 5min waiting for the two of them to move so I could get passed, in the end I asked them to let me passed to which I just got a black look from them both as they continued their conversation. (young man looked to be some kind of supervisor/manager, young ladies floorstaff). It's hard enough trying to get around in the store with a pram with out RUDE staff blocking your way.

Helpful staff M&S is a good store as always has been

A bit cramped. No good if you are in a wheelchair or have a pram. We had to clean our own table. But the pumpkin latte was nice and the black forest hot chocolate.

On two floors. A few clothes at entrance then food hall. Staff helpful. We were just visiting as staying in Thurnham. Staff members were happy to take us to the items we required. Upstairs. Escalator and stairs there must be a lift somewhere as when eating in the small cafe upstairs the was a wheelchair user. Very nice 2 Lattes and 2 toasties both very hot. Plenty of staff on site. Would recommend!!
