Just finished a small job I was doing for a friend,so thought I would just pop in and get a steak pie supper, I was really disappointed first the young girl on the till, needs to do a course on customer relations as she is a bit on the cold side no please or thank you. No sooner had I sar dow ro wait for my order than the young man serving said that my order was ready, all neatly wrapped up, speedy service I thought. But when I got my order home, I realised why my order was so quick, the chips were hard and definitely not golden brown in colour and the pie also did not seem to be freshly cooked. To be honest it looked like both pie and chips were repeats and as I said I was very disappointed. But I won't be using them again nor could I recommend them

The chips where golden brown and the pizza was perfect the gravy nice and thick all in all took me back to being a kid again the way chippy used to be

Phoned in for chicken supper it was ready when I arrived and was lovely . This is my favourite chip shop

Went here on the understanding the fish was freshly made every customer but when I got it home I new this was a reheat either from the night before or been lying to long and had to be dipped in the oil again, I could also taste the oil needed changed. Nice looking Chippy but defiantly don’t think I got my £8.30 worth.

Stopped in when driving to Largs from Lyle Hill a wee sightseeing tour , and soo glad I choose this one ! Crispy very crunchy batter , lovely proper chippy chips, pickles were awesome so must have been mega fresh. Shop was lovely,modern and clean, staff very pleasant. Even bagged a jar of cockles which I find hard to get ! Well chuffed. Defo will be back now , not had batter like that since Harry Ramsdens in Glasgow in 90s !!!! 5* ! Enjoyed that much never got a picture in time, it was devoured.

Staff were abrupt and quite frankly rude, changed my order in store and the lass just completely blanked me! I thought it would have been decent but the chips were stale And also had a funny taste, extremely over priced for the food to be disgusting won’t be back and definitely won’t not recommend to anyone

Busy but friendly chip shop. Had the haddock and chips which were excellent. Nice touch that they put a slice of lemon and tartar sauce in with the fish. Recommended!

It was wonderful having gluten free fish and chips available even though it was only 2 days a week, but now nothing. Understandable as they were busy during covid but I rang to see if they were going to serve gluten free again now we're in zone 1, but no, SO disappointed as there isn't much choice around here, Toninos pizza maybe the best for gluten free I have found.

New restrictions says, you are not allowed to go inside the shop and need to be served outside, but there were a lot of people inside, and we thought we weren't safe there, so we just went away... Not very safe there the food is great obviously, but I don't think I could go back there if they break the rules.. I wouldn't catch the virus for a portion of chips..

Food was nice but pure snide with the gravy. Gravy is such an inexpensive thing to make its bewildering why they're so snide with it. £1.50 for an extra cup of gravy is ludicrous.

Brilliant fast service and really great attitude from the young staff they came and cleaned the counter after every service. We ordered two pizzas they took just 5 minutes and as you can see from other reviews I love pizza and both were cooked to perfection .Thank you to all the staff who went above and beyond today. Great job 👍

After rave reviews from family and friends we were keen to sample MF fare. Meal delivery was forty five minutes late in arriving and the food was luke warm at best. We'll be back to give it a second try, but a disappointing start to the MF experience.

This is a brilliant chippy. Staff are friendly. Very reasonable prices and a good selection of meals available.

The food is ok, it’s what you’d expect from a chip shop! The service is very poor though, there always seems to be a lengthy wait, even when the place is very quiet. Got to echo the comments of another reviewer, the staff are absolutely miserable looking... a smile, some sign of being remotely cheerful - nope! Customer service skills are non-existent. Wouldn’t hurry back, the food isn’t worth the inevitable wait.

Normally go for the pizzas as authentic and cooked with real Italian ingredients but this time went for the Award winning special fish and chips,served in a box with slice of lemon......incredible! Hard working and friendly staff,can see why it’s voted in top 3 best fish & chips in Scotland.
