With its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, this lovely family run restaurant is a real asset in Preston. The menu is varied with dietary preferences catered for. Meals are cooked to order and portions are invariably generous, though also reasonably priced. It’s a place to come back to, again and again, as many of us do.

very young and rude staff! 2 had a face on them the whole evening while serving us and when not, asked them for something simple and we got a look like we had asked for a £1000 loan!! the pasta was greasy and did not resemble a carbonara in any shape or form, shocking service and food all round, certainly will not be returning.

Family meal. Atmosphere good lovely music playing .Starters ok and mains good apart from the spaghetti Bolognese,which both in the party said was very bland. One was a very small portion, we told the waitress. Waitress who took care of us was very polite,however one waitress brought some extra Bolognese to the table in a plastic bag . We said we didn't require it, her reply ' you asked for it so chefs cooked it' and plonked it on the table and stomped off. Quite rude I thought.

Lovely little place with a nice relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Food is beautiful and the service is good. Plenty of menu choice of both food and drink. Highly recommended.

The food was phenomenal and very affordable, especially coming from Manchester. The staff were lovely, can’t wait to go back.

Went for mothers day I thought when you pay a deposit it is for you to reserve the table and there is no ones turns up. Six of us came unfortunately my 86 year old mother could not come due to falling ill. When we came to pay they still took the £5 deposit because she did not show. The food was really good but this spoilt it for me and our family on what should have been a special day.

Took Mother today for Mother's Day but unfortunately it did not come close to the Mother's Day that we celebrated here two years ago. We were seated in a cold draught next to the door and kitchen where we had a constant stream of bodies passing the end of our table. The noise level of people talking over each other, and add a few screaming kids, made it unbearable, we struggled to have a conversation. Unfortunately we couldn't bare to stop for pudding and a coffee and cut our visit short. However the food that we had was still very good, although the Sunday deal menu was sadly not available.

Didn't eat in took away but didn't spoil the experience goof cudnt have been better if eating in It was restaurant standard

The best Italian in the area by far! Reasonably priced, excellent food, a warm welcome and a cosy atmosphere! Last week we went to The Italian Orchard which was nothing compared to Mariono’s!

Visiting the area and popped in twice within the week finding it initially on TA. Food is generously portioned with high quality ingredients cooked superbly. Staff are very effective, pleasant and chatty. There is a real vibrancy about the restaurant and having spent a lot of time in Italy, I can tell you that this is authentic....the real deal

Visited tonight 16th June 2023 Had the Salmon off the specials board & it was certainly special, hope they put it on the main menu it deserves its place that’s for sure 🤞 Happy place with smiling staff & food exceptional. My new Friday go to.

This place is amazing, the food is to die for its always delicious and decent portion sizes, aswell as lovely friendly helpful staff. I always go every other month to eat in and sometimes get a takeaway now & again at the weekends too. You wont be disappointed in this little gem of an Italian restaurant !!!!

Sssh don't tell anyone but the is a real gem of an Italian restaurant. Visited for the first time last night with family for my birthday. Was impressed with the excellent choice and reasonable prices. I chose the Crespella pancake to see how it compared to Salvatore's and Angelo's. Was not disappointed. It was delicious and currently is No. 1. The tomato garlic bread was really moreish and 3 of us shared the cheese platter to finish. Nice service and only criticism was white wine was not very cold. Will defo visit again.

Marinos is a firm favourite. Love the ravioli nduja which is on the specials menu. The staff are very friendly.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We had our wedding party there on the 24.9.22. The food was amazing the staff were efficient and friendly and just all round great place. Will definitely recommend for functions or just a meal out.

Normally fantastic but tonight a massive let down , decide to take son and daughter-in-law for a meal for his birthday , drinks place 15 minutes before order taken , had to ask for drinks after this to be informed gas was being changed , explained bottles of cider and shorts don’t need gas to be tutted at ( very rude ) , starters really good , again had to ask twice for drinks and on third time husband offered to go and bring them over , main arrived, I waited 12 mins then started on my salmon special with no veg or potatoes, could see all the staff looking at our table 19 minutes in someone finally asked if everything was ok explained I was still waiting for rest of my meal , she came back and said we can offer you a free dessert I declined I was still waiting on my veg and potatoes , massive let down tonight spoilt sons birthday

Wonderful family restaurant with intimate friendly atmosphere. Food and staff cannot be faulted. My little boy (9y.o.) and I usually go for a pizza simply because they are probably the best in Preston. The pizza dough is consistently the perfect thickness (medium to thin) and toppings and cheese are generous. I have tried 90% of them and have been happy with them all.... They are really tasty :o)My wife and little girl (7y.o.) normally have a pasta dish and the plates are always empty after a meal. Great family food, friendly staff and quiet relaxing atmosphere.

We went here on our anniversary, we didn't book and were lucky to get a table and it was only 6pm! Excellent food, excellent service and very reasonable too! A bit noisy in the far left seating area mostly because there are long tables there for parties, which is also great, we had a lot of people there for our granddaughter's 18th a few years ago, they always pull out all the stops and always come out to sing 'Happy Birthday'! It's a superb venue.

After having a few poor experiences in the past, I visited Marino's twice in the last month with friends and am pleased to say it's back to its best!

Visited Marinos with my daughter and grandchildren. We were made to feel welcome on walking through the door, clearly a well organised family business with attention to detail. An extensive menu at very reasonable prices although the wines were a little steep in price. We were all delighted with our choices and shall certainly be returning in the future.

Just got back from a birthday meal 35 people. Young staff taking orders at random.no order but they were polite and did their best. Food was slow coming from kitchen but this was due to the number of takeaway orders. One of the party got his meal in a box. Chicken livers the worst I have ever had. Waited long-time for main not worth it. Second visit first time not good but did not review. Not going back.

I have been to Marino's over 10 times in past year and every time it has been perfect! I always get the bruschetta to start - which is the best bruschetta I have tasted! The pasta and pizzas are amazing as well especially the lobster ravioli and lasagna! The service is always great at Marino's and the staff are friendly and very helpful. They do a large selection are wines, but I wish they did a few more Rosé wines. Plus for what you receive the prices are amazing - very reasonable prices. Overall, a wonderful family run Italian restaurant and definitely won't stop going!!!

We arrived without a booking but were immediately shown to a table. Drinks were provided straight away and well priced. The food arrived promptly and was piping hot. The portions were generous and the prices low. Everything tasted fabulous and the service was very attentive. There will be a return visit.

I went to Marinos the Sunday just gone with 24 of my family and friends and I can honestly say I can not think of one negative aspect of my visit. Firstly I had originally booked the meal for 22 people and with the restaurant being on the smaller side took up quite a large part of the dining room but on the day there was 24 of us that turned up, after speaking to one of the waitresses she did everything she could in a timely manner to make room for the 2 extra guests and never once made it into a huge problem. Secondly the food was out of this world, each and every one of us ordered both a starter and main course and not one of us had any negative feedback about either course. We even had 6 children in our party and sometimes children are hard to please in terms of food and even they loved it. The staff where so helpful and catered to our every need, if your ever stuck for somewhere to eat any day of the week Marinos is the place to go

We had a table booked for 8pm on a busy Saturday night, the restaurant was full and bustling. We checked in were shown to our table by a sweet young girl. Very much a family business. Our drinks orders were taken and delivered very quickly. With menus on the table ready to peruse. We all chose different dishes from pizza, pasta, rissotto and were not disappointed. Portion sizes were large and very hot and tasty. We were even given pizza boxes to take leftovers home. Food was great value for money and we all really enjoyed our evening. Really consistent Italian food in a friendly homely environment. Menu has all the classics and a few nice specials. Excellent garlic bread, and pasta dishes. Pizza was a little oily but full of flavour and toppings.

Visited Marino's on a Saturday night hoping for a pleasant meal with the family but had an average experience (again). On arrival the young female serving staff were too busy chatting at the hatch to the kitchen to notice our arrival. Luckily we spotted the family who were already at the table and walked over to them.

I love this place! Food is amazing and staff are wonderful. Portions are large and presented very well. Great place for families. Any left overs are packed to take home too.

We were first introduced to this restaurant earlier in the year by friends who go regularly and have been several times since. The food is excellent and great value for money. We love the seafood spaghetti, chicken cacciatore and also the steaks, which come with a generous portion of potatoes and veg. The service is great too. This is a relaxed, family run restaurant and the food here is just as good as some of the pricier Italian restaurants we've been to.

Dined here with family, for an early evening meal. Pizzas excellent - and by no means expensive. A pity the chairs are a little on the low side fro small people - hopefully, management will read this and give appropriate attention. Very limited parking outside - best to use the road opposite.

Went to Marino's on a Saturday night as it was my daughters boyfriends birthday. The atmosphere was lovely the food was delicious as per usual and the singing of happy birthday from the staff with the little brass band was brill such a lovely thought to bring a piece of birthday cake out and sing to him. This is my 4th time i have been here and i will certainly be visiting again very soon. They also do take away orders which are just as good so we order them occasionally too. Well recommended A***

One of my favourite plays to eat out, Food excellent and good value, very nice to go for my Bithday and to meet up with old friends. Only down side the parking is not good! Will be returning soon with my family.

Nice looking place , parking not brilliant ! You walk in and can see straight into the kitchen , no reception as such ! Was greeted by a lovely older lady who didn't seem to know what to do with us , we choose where we sat ! I picked up a menu it turned out to be a drinks one .... just as she asked if we wanted drink , I requested a glass of Rose and before my friend could give an order she had gone retuning with a bottle ! I tried to say I wanted only a glass but she walked away ! Luckily a lovely waitress called Bella came to our rescue ! There were two menus to choose from , the specials did not have one thing I could eat , I unfortunately can't eat red meat, I don't like fish or pork , there was nothing with chicken on the menu . The other menu was your traditional Italian with Pizza and Pasta etc ! Not very inspiring do I went for the good old favourites and had two starters a Garlic bread and the Funghi Ripieni ! Tasty but dry ! Very dry both of them ! Sorry Marinos I don't think il be back ! Not impressed !

Excellent food, staff and atmosphere. Very reasonable prices and nothing is too much trouble. The only negative is the lack of parking but well worth the taxi fare.

We booked a table for six. Table was ready on time. Staff are very welcoming. Ordered drinks and starters, then mains. Great portion sizes and a variety of dishes. No dessert required. Amazing food and service. Love the place.

As "the dad" was working Father's Day - we booked for 7 of us on the Saturday Evening to celebrate with Dad and his dad (grandad)! We all had a fantastic night! The food was fantastic as was the welcome and service. My husbands family who live In Penwortham and their neighbours love it so much that they come regular now also. Can't recommend enough! They deserve their success!

My wife and I have a visit at least 100 times I think that says it all about the quality of this place, super friendly well staffed restaurants never have to wait for more than five or 10 minutes for your food. Which of course is always delicious

Me and my partner just came back from our first visit to the Marino's and we both enjoyed it a lot. It was our anniversary so we wanted to make it special and not being ruined by a bad dinning experience.

Iv eaten at Marinos on 3 occasions now and each time our meals have been faultless. When eating out generally Italian would not be my first choice as I have always found the food to be mediocre however the food here is exceptional. I can highly recommend the seafood spaghetti :-)

this is a small italian resturant with limited parking but it is well worth the trouble the meals are super and are very reasonably priced very friendly staff and i would recomend this resterant

Had a meal here with friends last weekend and we all enjoyed the food, starters of pate, meatballs, calamari, and wild mushroom bruschetta, followed by three steaks cooked to perfection all with fresh veg, my friends wife had large king prawns. Washed down with peroni and red wine.

Dined here for the first time with family. We all ordered Pizzas, which were absolutely delicious and extremely reasonable in price. Very friendly and helpful service, and nice ambience about the place. Slight downsides are that some of the seating is rather low for small people, and direct parking outside is extremely limited. Will certainly visit again.

We ate early due to other evening commitments and it was valentines day so pleased they could fit us in. The service is rather in personable and slow however the food is great for the price. We couldn't get over that 4 main courses, wine, beer and pudding for 4 was under 80 quid. Would happily return however please ensure you aren't in a rush as their service isn't

Myself and my partner came to Marinos on our first meal out together almost 3 years ago. It is always our first choice when there is a birthday, anniversary or any other special occasion. In total, we have probably visited in excess of 10 times.

4 of us went for a meal last night at Marinos, we had booked a table and it was soon very easy to see why it was essential. It was crowded, it was noisy, it smelled of wonderful food, but best of all it had lots of atmosphere - every patron seemed to be having a good time.

We went here for a family birthday meal. we had not tried the restaurant previously. When we first visited to book the meal we found the experience to be poor. A member of staff at the front desk looked at us but did not acknowledge us. Eventually a person who seemed to b the boss came and took our booking. The restaurant area is quite large and quite well laid out although the area where we were seated was crowded and we were touching chairs with the people seated behind us. We kept having to move our chairs to them in and out. The staff were very warm & friendly although the service was a little on the slow side and we waited some time just to get a drink, Again we waited some time to order our meals and for them to arrive maybe because it was busy). The meals were all of good quality and we all enjoyed our food.

We came here as a group of 8 for a work's Christmas meal on a weekday lunchtime. We reserved the table only about a day before, and gave them a list of our choices when we got there (rather than letting them know beforehand) and they couldn't have been more accommodating.

Have been numerous times since it opened. Food is consistently good, staff friendly and prices reasonable. A no frills basic setting... My and my family's favourite restaurant! Very child-friendly; can get very busy and noisy as is a small space... not ideal for a quiet romantic meal!

Always top food whether your eating in or a cheeky takeaway, not a bad word to say about the place! Friendly hospitable staff too.

Been threatening to visit this place for a while , but the chance came on wet Friday so we gave it a try.

It was Ok but would not be rushing back. Three of our party had chicken livers and they had not had the tubes or sinews removed and were in quite big chunks.

The food was really delicious~ we all had pizza in our group. Although there was lots of other choices. I liked the style of the restaurant too. The waitress service was okay~ it started well and food was served quickly but after the main course no one came back over to us to ask us if we wanted desserts/coffee/ the bill etc.. So after a wait went to the till and paid.

The staff are welcoming and always smiling happy to help with anything, the food is delicious and quick too! The garlic breads are the best I've ever tasted and the gnocchi don Vito is my regular favourite. Take out is quick with a usual 15 min wait from ordering. Well worth the money. Lovely atmosphere and great service.

Called in early Saturday evening on the off chance that we could get a table.Staff were helpful and friendly and took us to a table straight away.We ordered house wine which was very good,lasagna and pizza with salad..all arrived promptly,steaming hot and delicious, it was good to get a fresh crisp salad too.Good food,good value for money,thanks very much we will definitely be back.

Went last week for a Birthday meal for the daughter, there was ten of us, 6 adults 4 children, we had five starters ten mains (only one was child portion) two bottles of wine, Four pints, a bottle of beer and seven LARGE coca colas, £151 quid well worth the money! Daughter in law says it's the best Goats cheese starter she has ever had.

We went to this place several times a week whilst we in the process of moving homes . Our last visit was a complete and utter waste of time and money.Half the smoked salmon was black and inedible .The avocado was as hard as a rock .The staff tried to over charge us - When I complained to Christian the owner he simply dismissed my complaint out of hand . What a hypocrite .People who appreciate quality food and professional service should in my opinion avoid

Minestrone was good, but gnocchi with tomato sauce were not freshly made and as if from any supermarket freezer. Pizza was way too cheesy and really not good. Overall quite disappointing.

Go there regularly, excellent food, good prices compared to big chain branches. Authentic Italian food can't beat it.
