Decent enough as fried food goes. Service not exactly friendly

I ordered a fish and chips and got served straight away food was amazing the fish and chips were so dry and the best I've ever had 5/5

Wonderful fish and chips and the serveur was very helpful.

Had the fish and chips, the batter wasn't cooked properly, the outside was crisp and the inside was still thick gooey batter, not pleasant! The chips weren't greasy but they were mostly little bits. We had to throw the fish away as it was inedible. Definitely won't be back.

Big disappointment. I often bought garlic pizza bread in this takeaway, which normally costs 4£. But when you sit down in a "restaurant", they charge you a service charge of 3£ without anyone warning you about it. So this ordinary pizza bread cost me 7£, 1 can of coca cola cost 2.90£, that's quite a lot for takeaway, in addition the absolutely unprofessional service, who ordered a pizza margerita instead of garlic pizza bread, changed it after my notice, when paying also taught pizza margherita for 8£ also floor was very dirty. I do not recommend this takeaway to anyone and I will never go there again. Any other restaurant have 10% of service charge and i been told service charge is 100% without telling you!!!!!

Marinis is going down hill lately it seems. Daughter asked me to wait whilst she got cheese & chips a few weeks ago & she waited literally 30 minutes & it really wasn't that busy. And today I ordered 4 meals and they missed out the cheese n chips & my friend who picked it up, didn't realise until they got back, so £4.90 down. It used to be a lot better.

A solid Scottish chippy, big portions as you'd expect once you step away from the more fancy end of the market. Don't get me wrong if you want your chips done in beef dripping and your fish to come with a copy of it's life story on the packaging, good for you. If you want a quick filling sausage supper then Marini's is what you're after. They do ice cream and you can sit in.

Fresh fish and oil to fry it. Portions are really big, one was enough for us two. Staff is really nice. I do recommended this place 👍

Genuinely the best fish and chips around, and I say that as someone who has been to Anstruther recently. Consistently good. Batter is light and crispy and sticks to the fish. Sometimes fish just gets lost in the batter, but not here, the fish is the star of the show, flakey, thick chunks of white goodness covered in a perfect batter mixture. Service is always great, friendly, and quick. Pizzas are pretty good too.

Hidden gem. Dine in or takeaway chipper that also does proper Italian pizza and pasta, and a selection of truly spectacular ice cream deserts. Blink and you'd miss it, so this is a bit of a local's hideaway. (Edit) 2 years later this chippie is under new management, and is sadly a mere shadow of its former self. The spectacular sundaes have gone, and the quality of the food ranges from tolerable to pretty bad, depending on which day of the week you go. A very sad loss for Perth, like so many in the last few years.

I Got chips and curry... the chips tasted old not freash but curry sauce was okay

I don't say this quickly, but this is the best fish and chips I ever had. Perfectly cooked, dry crispy crust and not fat at all. Good chips as well

Spent 19£ for large chips (which were full of dried scraps and soggy) and special haddocks which was overcooked and far from worth the price. Made the order by phone, but they didn't start my order until I arrived there and waited for ~10 minutes. The tartare sauce was included. Won't be back.

Chips were inedible brick hard.Looked like re heats even my dog after being offered one could not crunch it so left it.Avoid this place like the plague worst chippy in perth.

Great food good size portion well worth a vist

Really not great. Fish did not taste fresh at all, and was over cooked. Batter was very soggy and greasy. Chips were swimming in oil. Won't go back. Stick with the one on the cross it's streets ahead.

Hi, always special large fish supper alway fried to perfection, ice cream delishi large selection of flavours. Tuesday is a regular trip for evening meals.

Really good, just had a meal at lorrimers Inverness and it was terrible. Wish Inverness had a Marini's. Great fish chips n sausage.

Went here on Monday 4th if March, never had a problem with the food before but my husband & my chips were cold, couldn't eat them, some were very cridpie like they had been cooked twice. Told the waiter but nothing was done about it, not even an apology or reduction in the price. I don't normally write reviews but we are regular customers. Was very disappointed with them. We had fish& chips, Chipsteak,chips & 2 desserts

Just not as good as it was last visit. Disappointed

The most beautiful place to go and eat and freindly staff

We go here a lot and sit in. The eating area is very clean and has no smells from the main takeaway shop. How they manage that I'm not sure. The food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and helpful, very clean too. To top it off, the prices are great too. Highly recommend Marini's. 5 stars, definitely.

They are no stingy with their portion sizes. I had a large chips and I couldn't finish them but worth it. I feel like the small might not have been enough?!? I would personally share a large between 2. Fish in the fish supper was really tasty!

Very bad chips mostly little hard pieces, the fish was tastless with awfull batter. Give it a miss unless your dog is hungry.

Popped in for take away fish and chips. Looks like this is under new management. Have to say we won't be back. Found the food to be very basic. Chips were like they were frozen beef chips tasteless. Fish was large portion but batter not very nice. I'm afraid there are better fish and chips shops out there. Our opinion only but we won't be back.

Although it was a Monday the fish wasn't at all fresh tasting. Batter not great either and little curry sauce on chips. Half chips were inedible and just crumbs really. Not impressed.

Staff don't speak English very well, and it's probably the worst food and chips I've ever had. Pretty sure it was last night's. It was an enormous portion though, and cheap as well-but you'd have to be hungry!

Food was delicious! Red puddings!!! I hunt everywhere for these! Huge portions and reasonably priced too. Staff were friendly. Food was lovely and fresh. Will definitely be back when in the area. Highly recommend. The ice cream looked amazing too. Constant stream of people coming in too, always a good sign.

Both myself and husband regularly visit Marini's for a sit down fish supper. The food is always delicious , service speedy and the staff very friendly. I highly recommend this amazing eatery.

The special fish supper was disgusting i have never had batter burnt hard crunchy in my life and the container swimming in oil. I won't be back in a hurry.

Popped in last night as they were closing and was served by lovely staff (male maybe owner). Served us fresh burgers and chips as well as I've Cream. Friendly service and really appreciate what they served after they had closed. They could have given us what was left but decided to cook us fresh burgers. Amazing, thank you

Very good and quick service, Hugh portion of fish and very fresh without a doubt. However bill was Slightly on expensive side as it was a high end restaurant which it isn’t. for eg £2.90 for Fanta lemon. £4 for Ice cream. Will go bac but maybe occasionally.

Great food, cooked freshly, I travel 19miles to this chippy! Helpful friendly staff who are always happy to chat away. Lovely cafe also for those rainy days 😊

Went into get an ice cream for my grandchildren young lady served us she had done 2 tubs my order wasnt in but they wanted the money for it there and then no patience. YOU DO NOT RUSH YOUR CUSTOMERS. Do not go there for ice cream or you will be rushed

Large portions - great. But nowhere near as good as normal. Fish was good but chips not great and batter on white pudding thick and tough - inside of it fine. Disappointing as food us usually always really good. Service was not great either - too many not paying attention to orders.

Fantastic food and customer service. The young lady who served us is always smiling and gives a warm welcome. Met her hubby too this time when brought the wonderful food out. Thanks again, we will be back soon x

Very disappointed. Quality of food has seriously gone downhill. Sausage batter was rock hard, fish batter was soggy and mushy and stuck to the box,chips tasted like they'd been fried more than once and left to dehydrate. I made an hr long round trip for our meal and spent £20. I asked if it'd be possible to wrap 1 fish separate (large supper) to prevent them sticking together before I got home and had my head bitten off by the gentleman that does the frying. Terrible way to speak to a customer. I used to be a regular here, after last night's experience I certainly won't be back

We had a lovely lunch today food was great and staff were very helpful, stopped off in Perth and found chippy on Google maps before we left home, definitely worth a visit and didn't disappoint. Great place to get a good chippy, would definitely go back when nearby. Portion sizes were great and reasonably priced Thank you for a great lunch

Really gone downhill since last visit. Batter soggy. Ketchup watery. Curry sauce vile. Waitress gave impression she didn't want to be there. Won't be back.

Absolutely atrocious! Fish was extremely oily and makes you feel ill🤢. Gave 1 star because there is no option for 0 stars.😡

Fantastic place for food, but quick word of warning: the chips, cheese and curry portions are huge! 1 between 2 is strongly recommended :) Ordering online ahead of time is a very efficient and easy option. Thank you to the team at Marini's!

Food was awful. Double fried cold chips. Grainy texture. I was also overcharged by 1.50 on delivery. I got an e-reciept, it literally shows I was conned. The kebab was dry, curled up. Underneath a heat lamp for a week. Rubbery as hell

My reason for 1star is that when I get large fish supper with medium tub of curry . I travel home 4 miles and never receive the tub of curry ! 3 times now this has happened !!! So in future just stand out side with your big carry bag and check what you pay for on the pavement 👎

Neighborhood place for fusn & chips. And ice cream! Authentic food with GREAT service. They call "chips" what we call French fries!

We took a long drive to enjoy these authentic fish & chips. Funny how they call chips what we call fries. I had the special sauce and my lovely bride had the butter batter. And the cole slaw was creamy and delicious. Worth the drive! Highly recommend!

Decent portions but brown sauce is way too strong

As usual the food was very good and big portion sizes. Service was very slow. We ended up being in for two and half hours, sometimes difficult to find a server, will take out next time

Disappointing, our order wasn't correct. Food was passable but nothing like I'd hoped and expensive (probably because our order wasn't correct).

I had the mac n cheese and unfortunately had virtually no flavour at all, very bland. One of the worst mac n cheese I've had sadly.

Beware the fish is not haddock or cod not sure what type of fish they are but its very oily
