Fish was cooked fresh however the batter was like dough inside. The potatoe surprise were OK. Customer service and atmosphere wasn't great either. You need to up your game, I for one won't be using you again. There are a lot of other places who are cheaper and serve better food

Service with no smile. The guy serving me almost looked annoyed when I walked in. No customer service and impolite. Just got a portion of chips but nothing great or terrible. Won’t be going here again

Absolutely disgusting food they must not change the oil regularly! Food was dripping in brown oil! Honestly do your self a favour and don’t eat here.

Chips were uncooked and very cold. My battered sausage could've been used as a hammer. I waited an hour just to get my food. The male worker there was extremely rude to me and my elderly father. Would not reccomend!

Just had sausage in batter & chips from here tonight...normally food is great,,never had a problem before,,tonight,,,chips were cold,,sausage was tough as old boots,,pretty sure it had been reheated from last night,,disappounted,,,all went in bin,,,even dog didnt want sausage

Great fish and chips served by very pleasant people

We had good ordered via uber eats from this establishment. About an hour and a half later of waiting the food finally arrived, but in appalling condition. It was highly greasy and improperly wrapped. The paper had stuck to the mess of the food that the just dumped into a bag. We went to the location to complain and the worker that we had spoken to was extremely rude and with a disgusting attitude. Disgraceful!

The fish and chips were ok but very small for £10 no deals for oaps as several places give oaps a deal so will not be back

We ordered from the kebab menu a large donar and chicken kofti mix with chips. The kebabs were so tasty and the chips were fresh. Thoroughly recommend .

Pre-booked food for 19.10,turned up at 18.37,turned away as family wasn't home yet hence booking for 19.10. Currently now 19.30 and still no food. Phoned to ask where it was and was spoken to very rudely and told you can wait till whenever now. Appalling customer service, will not be using again and would not recommend!

Have to say, that as a single person I had the set meal A..cost me £11.00, which was well worth it..the food was excellent, the service was quick and efficient. I will definitely try this place again....should mention this review was for the chinese takeaway. This place is unique because it is a fish and chip shop, Turkish shop as well as Chinese.. have to say, have tried all three here and have not been disappointed

If I could give lower I would. I ordered via Uber Eats and received around 30mins to 1hour waiting time. 2 hours later still nothing. After numerous calls to the restaurant in which they would answer and hang up I am very disappointed. And the food isn't all that either 🤷🏼‍♀️

Waited 1 hour 30 mins after 45 minutes delivery time phoned shop but given bad attitude and told out for delivery so after 2 hours I drove down to shop and it was sitting on top waiting to be delivered so they lied about it being out for delivery hence I will not be using their services ever again ,I wasn’t bothered but the children were very upset

This food was without doubt the worst Chinese food we have ever eaten. Everything we had; Special fried rice (stodgy and tasteless), HongKong style sweet n sour chicken (bland bland bland, everything tasted the same with a horrible metallic over-taste), chicken curry (sauce was like water, the chicken had more chew factor than a rubber car tyre and even the prawn crackers were tasteless and stale. If you want to enjoy a nice Chinese meal then avoid this takeaway, anywhere else would be better! The sweet n sour was just sour as was our experience. Just chuck some chicken in a warm muddy puddle and eat it, it would still taste better than this excuse for a takeaway... Disgusting, in the EXTREME!

Love the staff here Alex is a very good man. Helps my disabled father he no what he likes and takes out to him in his car. Awesome chap and the staff are just awesome. And very good food

I am not one to leave poor reviews but this is not the first time we have had poor food from here.. The skate was small not a full wing don’t mind paying the money for skate if it is good and the chips where poor quality black bits not appealing and they looked like they had been left a while and re heated, the cod was more batter than fish and tasteless.. Sorry I have had Fish and Chips from here before tried again same result won’t be giving them my custom any more..

Worst experience possible. I have been eating from here since I was 6, it used to be owned by Chinese people, that’s when it was good trust me. The woman put the phone down on me I called back to say online there was know god available so can I order cod. She didn’t understand I asked her can I speak with someone whos English is better. The man then took my order twice did not repeat it back to me and then missed out the curry sauce. When I called back It turned into a shouting march over the phone. Who speaks to there customers like that. The chips are greasy AS. HELL. My code doggy. What a pathetic restaurant and pathetic set of employees. Will getting them a council inspection as not getting my money back 🙄

Ordered for collection. Order was wrong and they did not have enough southern fried chicken to complete order. The chicken we got was hard cold and dry. Tried to call to complain and the lady on the other end put the phone down.

If I could give this place no stars I would cold food took nearly 2 hours to cook and travel 1.5 miles didnt receive 3 items out of 9 absolute waste of time and money when rang to ask where items were was greated with the answer we will send them next time no you wont mate as there wont be a next time

Has good days and bad days. Food is sometimes great, other times it seems theyre reheating stuff. I've had lovely fresh chips but also chips that seem dry and refried.

Love Marinas. I've been coming here for years and the food have always been good. Marinas serve fish and chips, plus chicken, ribs, kebabs. Along with Chinese food; the Chinese is also very good...I also find the gentleman serving very polite and accommodating.

We placed an order at 5.15 pm and waited the 45 minute delivery time rung back after 50 minutes the lady said the man was going back to pick it up now. It finally turned up 2 hours late cold and not very nice. We will definitely not be ordering from here anymore, it's a waist of money.

Portion sizes are small. Customer service is poor and you feel like being there is a problem. Over priced and quality of food isn't great either. I no longer order from there.

We placed our order at 7pm and was told 45minutes to an hour which was reasonable, 8pm comes around still no food phoned to ask where the order was and was told its on its way, another 30minutes later still nothing phoned again and the staff wasnt interested said probably traffic. I waited another 15minutes so now the time was 8.45pm phoned again and again staff wasnt interested so at 8.58 the knock finally came when we questioned the driver he said he had just been given the order which was blantly a lie as Food was cold, chips looked like they had been fried about 5 times all the wrong sauces on the food, the worst take away we have had and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CHIP SHOP / KEBAB - the staff needs to go on a customer service course and learn how to speak to their customers 😡😡😡😡😡

Iv eaten some shocking food in my time but this was a whole different level! This is the level of food i would invite someone i didnt like around to my house just to feed it to them. Never ordered from here before and would certainly not be ordering from here again! Over £30 worth of food receive the smallest portions of the most shocking quality. I am surprised they have a licence to serve food at all. Marina fish bar you will not have a returning customer at my address thats for sure.

How hard can it be to cook the chips, if I wanted to cook my own chips I would have got some out of the freezer, chips are anaemic hard not properly cooked, there in my oven now. I'm not going to moan if I have to wait another 5 minutes for you to serve me properly cooked chips. It's a disgrace that a chip shop cant cook chips.

Arrived early which was nice but that's about as far as it goes 2 cod and chips 1 piece of southern fried chicken just shy of 21 quid. Unwrapped the chips and was instantly hit by a very pungent smell they were like warm chewy and generally vile 2 whole portions dispatched straight to the bin. Cod was ok and that's it just ok southern fried chicken was as dry as the dessert .Unfortunately have to say "steer clear".

I ordered a large piece of skate which I took away boxed up so did not notice the size until I got home. I would barely call it a small piece as it consisted of about 5 mouthfuls. Nevertheless I was charged for a large piece I Might have ordered one of the two large cods which were already cooked but I have found in the past this shop keeps their fish standing for too long and thought that they may be cold by the time I got one home. I only mention this as the fish they sold me as large was about a third of the size of the cod. Large skate?????????????

Food was ok - service was average.

Bad news...cod was full of pin bones...soggy and oily. Had about 15 chips in the box. Shame really when you think how nice fish n chips is and you get served this....give this one miss folks..

Shocking. food was wrong. Nobody answering phone to me when i try to complain. Answer your phone and accept you are WRONG! useless place with useless staff. below is my firecracker burger without cheese without jalapenos and with Mayo and no hot sauce. Useless.

Absolute rubbish chips taste like they have been left for days and cooked four times. All the items we had all the wrong sauces on them and some didn't ha wany sauce at all. The potatoe surprise tasted horrible. The meat was cold. The pitta breads were stale and hard. Wouldn't go back there ever again.

Undercooked omelette and raw chips. Fish was ok however when I called to express my concerns he was so arrogant I couldn’t believe it. No empathy or sincerity at all and basically told me to sod off! DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS.

The food was appalling and the customer service worse when I called to express my concerns. Undercooked food sold by inexperienced people. This used to be a great establishment but I will never use them again. They should be banned from selling food.

My wife and I tried this chip shop as the one we use regularly is shut for refurbishment. The member if staff who served us here was pleasant. Our food was cooked fresh and we waited 15 minutes for it, which we think is reasonable. The chips weren't greasy, though they only tasted average, not as good as our regular chip shop. My wife and mother in law had a piece of skate each. They were happy with these. There was plenty of meat on them and the batter was good. I had the Old Smokey Barbecue Burger, and it was good as well. If I could, I would award this establishment 3 and a half stars for the skate and the burger. I won't award it 4 stars because of the chips. We may use this chip shop again in the future.

In the last 2-3 months I’ve got a few orders from Marina Fishbar and every one of those orders have had something missing. I thought they would correct it for the future after the first couple were wrong, but now this one is too I’m never EVER using them again. If your order is wrong don’t bother calling up because you’ll be greeted with rudeness by some mad lady who says “what do you expect me to do about it”. They used to be good but I think they’ve changed owners and gone down hill. My chips have been tasteless and stone cold aswell. Don’t waste your time and money here.

I used this take away regularly when I was younger and decided to give it a try this evening when visiting family. I was horrified when the woman serving dropped one of my nuggets and looked like she was going to pick it up, until she noticed I was watching. She looked very uncomfortable and this was probably as they cook to order on some items and there were no more cooked nuggets to replace the one she had dropped. I continued to monitor and she approached the lad frying and said something under her breath before walking back to the serving area. I then saw the lad pick the nugget up and place it on the fryer. The woman then picked it up and put it in the bag with the other nuggets. I immediately called her on this and she took a nugget out of the bag and said, “what, was it this one” obviously I had no idea which one it was and told her so. Having been caught out she apologised a number of times and cooked a new portion. This caused the rest of my food to go cold. Whilst I was waiting for the new nuggets I took the time to have a look at the cleanliness of the hot storage area and noticed it was caked in oil and clearly had not been given a deep clean for some time. The nuggets are the horrible processed chicken, but on a positive, I was told that the cod I bought was nice. Would I recommend, ABSOLUTELY NOT. Slightly concerned I will get some sort of stomach complaint due to hygiene.

Fish and chip shop one side and chinese takeaway the other. Never had the fish and chips but Chows is good and very reasonable. Haven't had a bad meal.

very dissappointed with them for taking my money via hungary house and then not supplying what is ordered but it gets worse the food was awful greasy re fried chicken and very disgusting coleslaw added to the disappointment .

In my experience, not a good chip shop. Expensive and poor chips, served me old overcooked chips more than once. Much better alternatives to be had
