Marina Cafe in Brent

Firstly I picked these establishments based on the reviews. Special inregards to the pancakes being so great. But the reality was far from the truth. I booked my valentines day breakfast meal the day before. I expected a lovely meal, good service, clean environment. And just a great experience. We received was a rood waitress who didn't even acknowledge my booked table. Saying they don't book tables here? From the outside to the inside the cafe was dirty. With are table, which looked old and worn-out with grease covering the hole table and sticky. No menu on the table, no valentines day decoration, in, or outside the cafe. Anyone wouldn't believe it was valentines day. When the food finial came after having to tell the cook what we wanted more then six times. i would have to say the food was so bad I felt like it was some kind of hidden camera show joke. Everything tasted like it came from the local corner shop. Sausage was basic Cumberland Sausage. Eggs greasy knot free ranged . Tomatoes came from a tin. Hash-brown was from the packet. Tasted like garlic and onion powder. The mushroom's - woww, tinned and salty. The beans just was put in a pan no bland. And to top it off griddled greasy toasted bread. Then as a meal which should have been classed as a side dish was the famous pancakes with maple syrup covered with cuts of fruit. My first bit was filled with- you have to be joking me. They were made from a ready pancake mixed packet. Knot the expected freshly hand made fluffy warm pancakes. And the maple syrup, was that cheap tind Lyles Golden syrup. Which is overly sweet, and sticks to everything when it gets cold. Ask me how I know this stuff? I'm a trained chef, who would expect more from a fellow cook, or a over priced eating establishment. And lastly there where two things that had me questioning this place even more then the food. A men just came into the cafes main area where we were. Reached behind the counter and took a black small bag. Then sat in the other sectuon which supposed to be the garden section next door to are section. The is no wall between the main and garden areas. You can see between the two area of the cafe. Even this dirty. We had enough of this so called food. So i got up to pay then bill. When i was going to pay for this over priced pile of..... the waitress said they don't take £50 pound notes? But insisted on me making a card payment? I had change to cover the bill. Waitress didn't used the cash tile? She proceded to run the cash through one of them small metal money tin boxs - which you can buy in one of them one-pound shops. And when i asked for the receipt. With strong reluctance this was given to me. My valentines meal at this Marina Cafe. By far was a nightmare in dinning out for a special occasion. Some people may say the food is good. But all I can say, is try to find an authentic style American dinner in London or other places in the uk . And try there made by hand pancakes. With their quality sourced fresh, ingredients. Believe me you will notice a night and day experience in quality eating. Especially for the price this cafe expects you to pay for, package food. Ordered English brekkie 2 days in a row. On the first day it tasted really nice but the toasts were soggy. On the second day there were no mushrooms, food was cold and the toast ms were again soggy.

Best breakfast ever!!! My favourite was the french toast, everybody needs to try it! Great coffee (coming from a coffee connoisseur) and really fresh orange juice! It must visit if you are nearby

Over the past year they really upped their game and it’s a really lovely place to grab lunch or dinner or anything in between. Went with my husband last Sunday and had the most delicious pancakes . The service was really lovely- which you can never take for granted and food was great. Add the lovely decor, it’s best place in Willesden :)

As mentioned in the title. Kerb appeal gets you interested! While seeing family over the holiday weekend I noticed that this place always had people sitting outside. On our last day I said to the family we must try this place before we leave. Well I am glad I did! Superb full English breakfast, my son loved the pancakes and the wife enjoyed the coffee and the smoothies. Great front of house staff, great vibes and Will definitely be back when in the area again. Keep up the great work!

I love this place !! I go all the time the food is quality and worth the prices as there standards are good! The atmosphere is lovely such a positive atmosphere. There coffee is so nice and the staff are always so nice and helpful. I sometimes go there just for the vibe!

This is our GOTO breakfast place The food is fresh & clean looking! Always consistently spot on! Meget hyggelige servitører, strålende Hamburger, chips og frisk salat. Burgeren var av storfekjøtt, salat frisk og god og masse nydelig chips

Absolutely delicious breakfast and great coffee! Couldn’t fault it. Great value for money. Highly recommend.

The staff are nice, welcoming and polite. They are decent workers and friendly. I have been here before and it seems nice. I had ordered a Tiramisu but the waitress informed later that they had ran out and so I chose apple crumble. I asked for extra custard which was served warm in a small ramakin. When paying my bill I was expecting to pay £5 for the dessert and £3 for coffee. I realised when paying I was charged £13. I asked if this was a mistake, the person who served me informed I was charged £5 for the 'small pot of custard'.....really? I was not informed of this when asking for extra custard. I would not have bothered. I think it was unnecessary to charge the equivalent of the same dessert. All that taught was never to ask for anything extra. Sorry to say that I will not be returning for myself. It would not be fair to say excellent or poor because the place it nice.

Visited this establishment for the first time having travelled down from Nottingham, and on the back of the perfectly cooked full English, I returned the following day to be served an absolutely well cooked and tasty omelette. I'm a very fussy eater when it comes to having a full English, especially my fried eggs and well cooked meat, I wasn't disappointed, it was cooked to perfection. Do not be put off by some of the negative comments, or the kerb appeal, this is a decent place for breakfast and the staff were pleasant on both our visits. Well done all around 👏

I visit this place often but notice the have being over charging me in many occasions for stuff I did not order, as much as £9.50 per bill, last visit I paid and after I asked for the bill and found two items for £4.50 that I did not order, the lady was not to bother about it and just refind my money. This over charges happen at three different times (that I noticed) I can’t imagine how many people get overcharge same as me.

Staff is awful...been waiting almost 20 minutes for breakfast,after that I received my breakfast totally messed up and I kindly ask to get what I ordered ,been waiting a good 20 minutes again and still nothing received after that I told the cashier/waiter that I have to leave cause I had to start working and I been told from the chef "you can go my friend " without even get offered refund back,I had to ask. Worst breakfast experience in North west london ,never recommend again

Always friendly and welcoming staff. Good food and the BEST coffe!!! Reasonable price. My dish is Marina chicken with creamy mushroom sauce 👌Our favourite local from more than 10 year..

Very disappointing: got there last weekedn for a decent full vegetarian breakfast, not bad, and we got 1 slice each of brown bread, today (12.02.2022) we got there again, beakast was identical, only bread portion was half, I politely asked for same quantity as of last time, I was offered an expensive basket of bread (not needed and not asked for) and was told that the boss there makes the rules and i have to respect them, i politely said that as a customer I think I have the right to express my perception, I felt unwelcome and had to deal with a not apologetic attitude, I was not even greeted on my way out, I do no recommend this place to anyone who feels that the customer is the Queen/Kind (and not the owner)

Definitely the best cafe in Willsden Green with delicious food and great service. Fresh home made food leaves you satisfied to the maximum. Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed!

This place is quite nice, the staff are pleasant and the food is acceptable. However, they need to remember they are on Willesden High Road and not in Grosvenor Square or Piccadilly... £2.40 for a cup of tea is extortionate when all other places in the area are ranged between £1.20 to max £1.80... Very much overpriced and the tea was nothing special...

Really enjoyed my first visit here for sunday brunch. There was a wide variety of veggie and meat dishes, both we chose were lovely. Fast service and decent prices. Will definitely return.

Great food, great service and the best breakfast around. I travel to London from Los Angeles a lot and my first meal is always at Marina. In fact I try to eat there most days. Management and staff are fabulous.

Been here for five days and wasted here five times. Welcoming and wonderfully friendly Turkish staff. Reasonable prices and an interesting variety of dishes on the menu. I always have the Marina breakfast as I'm a little worried about the English breakfast's baked beans first thing in the morning. And it's really very good.

Café bonito e agradável, com prato do dia (special) a preço acessível (13£ prato e bebida). Empregados simpáticos e música ambiente agradável. Recomendo.

My partner and I went here every morning during our stay in London. The food was decently priced and the quality/quantity was good. Coffee was also excellent! Service was fantastic food often came out within 5 mins of ordering.

Sat inside but it’s quite cold sitting near the doors so we had to move. Getting served was quite slow as they seem busy with take away orders and only one person taking the orders. Coffees were okay. Breakfast was quite fast once we ordered it but the bacon was very salty with my husbands breakfast they forgot the grilled tomatoes. Overall it was average.

Very draughty in winter to sit inside. Doors constantly being open and does not shut well afterwards. English breakfast not the cheapest ,good but mean with two tiny pieces of toast. Will not visit again.
