Celebrating my 60th birthday with cousins on a busy Saturday lunchtime. As always Marcus did not disappoint, the food, service and ambience was amazing. The best of Italy on our doorstep, we are so lucky. Absolutely no complaints, each time we come here we have the best time.

I am a foodie. It’s not very often that I get my expectations raised when going for a meal in Enfield. However someone told me that this place has won awards for being the best Italian restaurant in London. I scoffed, being that this place was in the middle of Enfield town. I thought I’d give it a go as there would be nothing to lose. All I can say is I was absolutely amazed. The food and wine was among the best I’ve had out of any place in central London, Enfield, or surrounding. Absolutely top class non- pretentious sea food menu and wine list. I was blown away by how good the food and wine is. And to top it off, this food is available for lunch and dinner in Enfield Town. Well done Marcus, you’ve made be believe in Enfield once again. I now go to Marcus for lunch and dinner multiple times a week. The dry Puglia white wine with the baby octopus stew is worthy of a Michelin star dining experience, but at a fraction of London prices. If you’re looking for fantastic food and wine, in a non- pretentious environment- please check this place out. It’s amazing. Marcus- I commend you 🙏

Today I took my family out for dinner at Marcus’ and I have nothing but pleasantries to say. It has quickly become one of, if not my favourite restaurants in London out of all I’ve been to (and I love dining out). The quality of food was spectacular. The four of us each got a different starter, main and dessert and a side salad too. It is often the case that one of us doesn’t like at least one of the meals we get in some form, but that didn’t happen here. Instead, we all encouraged each others to try our choice because each and every meal was delicious and worth sharing. I am a big seafood lover but don’t actually like fish. When I tried my partners and my father’s fish I thought they were delicious too! Something I’ve never experienced. All of the meals, the hospitality and the staff, plus the general decor and atmosphere of the restaurant gave a real authentic Italian feel which have left my entire family planning a trip to Italy. Wonderful service despite the restaurant being packed full. My favourite (I think, it’s hard to pick) was the seafood soup starter - again, something I would not usually go for but was beyond pleasantly surprised. My only regret was not getting pictures good enough to demonstrate the quality here. Thanks for a great night out and we will definitely be coming again 😊

Just spent our 15th wedding anniversary here today, in July we dined on my 50th and a year ago it was our anniversary meal. Absolutely love this restaurant. Small, intimate and friendly. Food prepared a few metres away. Great meal and a brilliant experience. It's our go to for special occasions.

Went there with 2 other friends. The Italian gentlemen who was front of house (also a co owner) is fantastic. He’s helpful funny and is the life and soul of the restaurant Food is very very good. Proper ingredients. Fresh fish and tastes amazing. Thank you

We decided to try Marcus’ for our anniversary dinner and what an amazing, warm, family friendly restaurant it was. We were welcomed with a big smile at the door by Omar who looked after us throughout the evening, very attentive and even recommended some of the dishes that were absolutely delicious. Thank you Omar and the team, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be back.

Staff super friendly. Lovely decor. Felt like we were actually in Italy! Food tasty & flavoursome. I had the Risotto Radicchio & gorgonzola which was lovely.

We had a starter which was a so called 'hard bread soaked in water with a cherry tomato salad '. , well , the bread was something you would throw to a hungry stray dog , and it was piled with cherry tomatoes cut in half with some herbs . Say 'old wet stale bread with tomatoes' . What on earth were they thinking of ?Soggy disgusting old bread with some cherry tomatoes thrown on top ???????? The main course we chose fried sword fish with capers olives and tomato sauce. The sward fish was chewy and the whole plate was swiming in what I know to be tinned tomato sauce. It was awful . I've seen the ratings for this restaurant and I can only say that the English still know nothing about food and will eat anything . The worst italian food I've ever had in the UK. The Day before we had an Italian meal in London and it was 40% cheaper and 100 times better . This place is expensive for the rubbish we were served .

We were here at just after noon on a Saturday so it was not too busy (it does get very busy in the evening). They have a nice exterior seating area but we opted to sit inside. There was 2 of us and we had 3 courses, a beer, a bottle of wine (at £56 the second most expensive on the menu), water and a double whisky (£8.90) for £180 (including a 12.5% service charge). The food was great as was the service. For starter I had the Bruschetta Mare (£16) a seafood dish that was tasty and plentiful. My main was the Pollo Cacciatora (£16), a delicious chicken dish in a lovely tomato based sauce. For dessert I had the baba (£7), a pastry soaked in rum with whipped cream. In my opinion by far the best restaurant in Enfield and surrounding areas. Highly recommend it but suggest you book for evenings.

Fabulous spot! The staff are warm and welcoming (if you're lucky they'll even offer you some of their homemade limoncello). Delicious, simple, proper Italian food. Highly recommend the seafood pasta! Recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment, can sometimes be tricky to get a table.

This was my first time at Markus restaurant and bar but it definitely won’t be my last. The food is delicious and the staff where really Friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere and clean. Looking forward to my next visit 👌🏼

Hidden Italian eatery in Enfield Town. Absolutely gorgeously decorated, reminds me of trips to Naplea Marcus's Kitchen has a varied with options to suit all palates. Excellent wine list. Definitely a good place for date night or a special celebration.

Everything is fresh and tasted so amazing. Staff are extremely polite, helpful and there is such a huge selection of menu items to try. Too many items to name as have visited multiple times but the ink risotto and pasta is incredible. Flavours are authetic and probably some of the best quality Italian food I have eaten in the UK let alone enfield. Place is award worthy. Decor is romantic

I recently dined at *Marcus Kitchen*, and it was an absolute delight! The ambiance was cozy, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The highlight of my meal was the *Norma*, Casarecce pasta with homemade tomato sauce, aubergine, and ricotta salata cheese. The dish was perfection— the pasta cooked al dente, the sauce bursting with rich, fresh flavors, and the aubergine adding a lovely texture, all topped with the most delicious ricotta salata. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to ensure everything was just right. Their recommendations were spot on, and they made the entire experience even more enjoyable. I can't recommend *Marcus Kitchen* enough— if you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine with impeccable service, this is the place to go!

What a great Italian family restaurant. The biggest attribute is the service with a smile, all the gentlemen who run the restaurant have great personality and make you feel like you are in their home, always talking to each table, cracking jokes and making it great. The food is good portions that are tasty and worth the money. Nice for dinner party's as it small but exclusive. Great restaurant and eat there all the time... great job

I attended Marcus’ at 1pm and the restaurant was empty. However, it took half an hour until the waiter came to serve us. I ordered Octopus, unfortunately it was over cooked and I was unable to eat it, as it was like rubber. My next course was a pasta dish, with small pieces of Octopus and was smothered with Chilli, making it too hot for me to consume, the waiter did not mention this to me when I ordered it. I complained to the waiter that it was far too hot and his defensive reply was that it says on the menu that it is spicy. I was not aware of this and it is up to the owner who was serving me as the waiter to point it out to me, especially as the restaurant was empty. When I complained, I overheard Davide saying in Italian to my guest ‘there is no pleasing this woman’ , not realising that I am Italian myself. I was offered an alteration (pasta with aubergines) the sauce was so thick I was unable to eat it. This is the worse meal I have ever eaten, and I will definitely not come back again, due to the disrespectful comment and awful food.

Beautiful authentic Italian food and warm & friendly service. We popped in for a quick plate of pasta & glass of wine (all delicious) and left feeling like we'd been on holiday. Bravo 👏

An incredible meal with wonderful staff and a lovely atmosphere. Authentic Italian food served with real Italian flair. Our table felt really welcome from the second we arrived and the food was delicious. I had the burrata with parma ham and the carbonara, would recommend both. Will definitely be back!

Great local, if you live in or around Enfield Town, Italian restaurant. Why anyone would go to Prezzo when this is just down the street and pieces are comparable is beyond me. I guess they just don't know it's there. The food is great. I had gnocchi which was beautiful. My partner had linguine with cuttlefish in a cuttlefish ink sauce. It's black, looks different than what people would go for, but the taste is amazing!!

Genuinely if I could give this place more stars I would!!! Attended without reservation for a late afternoon lunch. I ordered the Burrata and arrabbiata…. I can’t put into words how amazing the food was. Simply amazing and thank god I’m local so I can revisit.

I love everything about this restaurant. It’s so unexpected to find such a top quality restaurant in the middle of a shopping centre. Absolutely fantastic evening. The only thing missing was a gentle breeze and I could have been sitting on the Amalfi coast al fresco. The food was beautiful, the wine devine and waiters were so friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back soon.

Beautiful Food. The service was excellent from all staff. We walked in on off chance and they just managed to squeeze us in so polite and very friendly staff. The menu is excellent lots to choose from. The kitchen is an open kitchen so you see your food being prepared and also the smells of food are out of this world.

I came with my sister to this lovely and cozy Italian restaurant. It reminded me of my home in Italy. The staff were welcoming and friendly . The music was perfectly adapted to the location with the right volume . The food was very good . (I recommend linguine alla pescatora and bruschetta di mare🤤 ) The full experience is a 10/10♥️🇮🇹 Grazie e alla prossima!

Excellent meal. Our third time visiting. We went for lunch on Mother’s Day for lunch. Food was delicious. Service was very good. Our 7 year old and 4 year old were well catered for with smaller portions off main menu. Risotto with blue cheese was tasty. Frittura fresh seafood was also very nice. The restaurant was nicely busy with a good atmosphere and open kitchen. Well worth visiting and we will be back.

This is Enfield's best restaurant and always the loveliest place to go for a special lunch or dinner. The menu is filled with traditional Italian dishes with specials from Sicily and Napoli and the food is absolutely delicious every single time. The staff are attentive, welcoming and personable and the atmosphere is so cosy. Love the decor. Great cocktails and wine, too. We absolutely love coming here. The only difficult thing is deciding what to order! Highly recommend.

Lovely Italian staff, pure Italian flavour. This company is really impressive with their lovely Italian staff, pure Italian flavour. Demonstrating excellent professionalism and warm service attitude. They not only excel in their work but also create a pleasant dining experience for their customers. In particular, I was impressed by their excellent pasta cooking skills, each dish is full of authentic flavours, making you feel like you are in the culinary capital of Italy.

My second of what is going to be many visits. The food is outstandingly good. I eat out a lot, this place is becoming a firm favourite. The vibe is traditional trattoria without being cheesy. The service is so very friendly and accomplished. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Italian food is my favourite. And I guarantee you I’ve been to many Italian restaurants, but Marcus Kitchen Bar is by far the best Italian restaurant. The food is so fresh and tasty and especially the tomato sauce. You have to visit and when you do, you have to try their seafood risotto which was one of my favourite plates. The music and the atmosphere was so cozy and warm. And the service was amazing, and very friendly, constantly checking if everything is okay and if we need anything else. Definitely will visit again!!!

This is a restaurant that I wished was local to me so i could go to it regularly. It is casual and informal and the staff are very friendly and attentive. It is quite small and cosy which was great on a cold winter night and in the summer has an outside space which would double its capacity. This was my first visit but will certainly return

Went for a family birthday lunch today. As Enfield Town (out of the whole borough) is rather bereft of restaurants these days (no doubt for a variety of reasons) I would like to congratulate the owners of Marcus for taking a chance here. You will no doubt get increased business based purely on personal recommendations alone as the food is absolutely superb. We had a variety of dishes off the menu but I personally based my choices on the day's "specials". This included possibly the best fish soup I have had outside Italy "and" France, plus a flavoursome wild boar stew. It was refreshing to find a menu that actually comprised the full range of antipasti, primo, secondo and dolce. Please, everyone, frequent this establishment!

2. Revisited Saturday before New Year's Eve. Great atmosphere, great service, wonderful food. Scallops cooked perfectly, all fish dishes are excellent. Can't praise this restaurant enough. 1. First time at this restaurant and loved it! Food was lovely. They are good portions, and trust the owner when he tells you you don't need sides with your chosen dish!! The fish is excellent. Came here on the off chance, myself and my partner had never seen this restaurant before, it is tucked away on the backstreet of Enfield town...as we approached I heard someone say Ciao to one of the members of staff, this made me think, this has to be an authentic Italian then...we approached and were greeted with a friendly Prego and shown to our table. Inside is nice and cozy, the decor is neither over the top nor understated, but just right...the menu isn't over complicated, the dishes are in both Italian and English. I was toying with the idea of having a steak, but in my mind I was thinking (who goes to an Italian and has a steak) one of the waiters recommended me a spaghetti and seafood dish, after asking if I like seafood to which I replied yes...the food came out in a timely manner, and it was clearly prepared from fresh, it was piping hot. I enjoyed every single mouthful. Would I recommend Marcus Kitchen and Bar, I 100% would, not only are the staff friendly but the food is fantastic...there are not many Italian restaurants in Enfield where all the staff waiters and chefs are Italian. You definitely should have a meal here at least once, I however will be coming back.
