La Nostra in Enfield

We have been regulars for quite a while. We have noticed that the quality of the food and it been under/over cooked becoming a regular trend. Clearly the staff are under pressure having lost their welcoming smile and happiness. A real pity

We had been before and enjoyed pizzas and were interested to go back after a recent refurbishment. The space is clean and bright, the welcome is very genuine and the food was very good indeed. We ordered starters from a specials menu - fresh anchovies and an interesting salad of fennel, rocket and pomegranate, both delicious - then had pizza and pasta. Generous servings and an excellent bottle of Primitivo, really exceptionally good for a short wine list. So two very satisfied customers who will be returning.

We booked a particular end bar table for a family birthday party, 4 adults, 1 child + 1 baby/highchair over a week in advance, turned up just after 5 pm opening time and no other customers in the restaurant, advised the younger staff member we've booked the table, the told by another ( pompous) male member ' we'll I'm the manager and don't remember getting your call to book this table' advised both that it had been booked and written in the diary at the time, no movement on this after being offered a smaller table, and still requesting the one we'd booked at the time. So left and spent our total £150 total custom at another local Italian restaurant as there is good choice in winchmore hill. So much for the ' friendly Italian family welcome ' advertised on their website.

We came across La Nostra driving through Winchmore Hill. We were lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked, this is a friendly family run restaurant. It had a beautiful tiled pizza oven where you can see the pizzas being made & cooked. It was a lovely summers evening and it was so nice to see the large glass doors were open letting in the evening air. The restaurant is tasefully done out and has a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The food was very good and the home made Tiramasu was wonderful. We visit London twice a year staying at nearby Enfield, we will definitely be going back.

What a delightful surprise. Went with my kids on a Saturday evening and we’re lucky that we managed to get a table. This family run eatery served some of the best Italian food that we’ve had in London. The pizzas and pasta were wonderful and the lemon veal (not on the menu) was incredible. With so many small Italian restaurants in this part of town, Nostra stands head and shoulders above their neighbours.

Dined there last Friday with a large group (19) of friends. Arrived at 19.30. Tables had not been laid properly, just knives and forks and no wine or water glasses. I asked for tap water and this was served to to the whole group. Starters were ordered, together with carafes of wine. The wine arrived but we then had to wait for glasses to appear. Mains were then ordered and by now it was well past 20.00. Starters arrived ok but the mains didn’t appear until about 21.40! The food was good but the service was a shambles; they simply couldn’t cope with the numbers. Very disappointing.

Our 1st visit to La Nostra to celebrate a friends birthday on a recommendation & really delighted that we went. Warm, friendly welcome. Broad & varied menu. Gorgeous food. Great service. So pleased we tried it out having walked past the restaurant for ages without going in. Absolutely recommended!!!

From Antipasto to Linguine mare untill the desserts was outstanding I have been in many Italian restaurant in Winchmore hill but this one is the best. I will be back soon Thank you La Nostra :)

Great Italian food, wood fire delicious pizzas, very friendly family-run restaurant and very good value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, like holiday in Italy. I recommend any one who likes good food.

We are regular customers of Thai lovely little family run restaurant. All food is hand made and I can't fault the food. Delicious, tasty and made with love. Prices are reasonable, the restaurant is cosy and friendly and the owners are friendly and can't do enough for you. Always a delicious meal, always hospitable....it's our favourite Italian restaurant. 💕

A lovely little family restaurant serving delicious Italian food. The menu has all the classics and there is always an extensive specials board. We shared the Melanzane alla Parmigiana (aubergine in baked in tomato sauce) as a starter and it was possibly the best I've had outside of Italy. For mains, we had the penne with spicy Italian sausage and the linguine with king prawns from the specials board. The portions are generous without being too big, and the prawns were huge. Both the sauces were well seasoned and delicious. The white wine was also very nice. Service was fantastic, as it always is. Can't wait to come back.
