Great food Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I visited today with a group of friends. There were no obvious vegan options on the menu so I asked the waiter what the options were and was told there weren't any. I decided to have a salad but asked them to make it more interesting with olives and mushrooms etc. They did say they have some vegan cheese which I had. However when the salad arrived it was just lettuce, 4 pieces of tomato, and a bit of cucumber. Other people's salads had onion and pepper which would have improved my salad a bit. The staff seemed to have no understanding about dietary requirements or what vegan is and it's disappointing that when other restaurants have added so many options, including vegan pizza, this restaurant cannot cater to basic dietary needs.

Family run pizza restaurant! Amazing staff, making you feel welcome. Great atmosphere for a Thursday evening. I had the meat ragu which was delicious.

I visited there a few weeks back with a large group and had a really wonderful night.The food (Especially the steak) and wine was absolutely 1st Class, and the cost was really reasonable.Can thoroughly recommend. And hope to visit again soon.

I have ordered from this place multiple times. Both lasagne and spaghetti bolognaise are Cooked to utter perfection. The packaging is perfect and food is always fresh. This is the place for Italian food. Keep it up guys!!!

Great food, good atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonably priced...never had a bad meal here. Although the last few times we've been here the lighting has seemed to be very bright which loses some of the atmosphere.

Visited this place after reading reviews. It is now our favourite Italian restaurant. It’s very authentic. We ordered a seafood linguine. The portion size was great and it was so delicious!

I was recommended this place whilst staying in the area, and I have to say, I wasn't disappointed. It's a little olde worlde in terms of decor, but my meal was superb. The sauce my ravioli was in was delicious, and it's not stupidly expensive either. I would definately visit again if I'm in the area.

Great, the food and atmosphere amazing

XL Seafood Linguine was absolutely delicious. Customer service was excellent, and the atmosphere was excellent for the 12 of us. The other foods ordered by my friends were delicious too. I will be back with my immediate family. Thank you all, and keep up the amazing job. I already recommended it to other friends. You will need to expand your building 🤣🥰

Visited La Caverna last Saturday evening with my wife. I was glad we booked, as it was full by 9pm, creating a nice buzzy atmosphere. We have been here quite a few times over the years, posting a number of reviews. We both had a lovely evening, enjoying our 3 courses & house wine. Looking forward to our next visit, hopefully to see Stefan back at the helm.

Lovely family run Italian restaurant on Chase Side Enfield. The food always good and so reasonably priced! The service is great and the atmosphere is always buzzing as it’s busy with families celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. Booking essential!

Always great, been going here for 40 plus years

Me and my wife went for a special occasion with no expectations of what to expect. Shannon was the one who greeted us to our table and she is such a lovely person taking a few minutes to engage with us. We asked for some recommendations and I really have to say that the food was exceptional. This is a family business which shows authenticity and heart felt passionate cooking. It was great to meet each member of staff who were all related. When we do return to Dublin, La Caverna will definitely be our go to place. Thank you to all the staff for an amazing experience. I highly recommend to go eat there.

A very warm welcome,into a calm quiet ambience.We ordered the red house wine,which was amazingly nice.Then ordered a thin crust Picanta and a normal Regina pizza all cooked in an electric oven. The Tiramisu was unbelievably delicious.It was our first visit,we will certainly go back again

La Caverna is a wonderful and long serving family run Italian restaurant in Enfield. The food and drinks are both really tasty and amazing value for money... I highly recommend the house sangria it's delicious! The pizza dough may be a little on the thick side, which is not to everyone's taste, but taste wise the flavour is great. We will certainly be back again - especially for the friendly staff and hospitality they show!

Nothing to fault about this local restaurant

(I ordered for home delivery so can't comment on "atmosphere", but the service was good in the sense that my order arrived very quickly.) The pizza was very greasy, lacked flavour, and almost seemed like something you'd get from a Dominos. The consistency of the mozzarella was basically identical to a fast food style pizza - not something I'd expect from an actual Italian restaurant. The dough and pepperoni was rubbery, and the whole thing just lacked flavour to be quite honest. I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually reheated from frozen... Olivetta's around the corner (attached to Gordon Hill station) does infinitely better Italian style pizzas if you're looking for a takeaway option. I deeply regret not just ordering from there instead, but lesson learnt!

I've only been to La Caverna once, but it gave me an amazing impression. The pizza was very nice and the lasagna was even better. But for the tiramisu just two words- world class.

Celebrated my Grandads Birthday and it was just fantastic here!! The service was impeccable especially our server Madara who was amazing and went above and beyond! The food was great and just the overall atmosphere was fab!

I've been coming here since I was born thanks to my grandparents who adore this restaurant, I'm now 23 and have never had bad time here. You wont be disappointed

Basic Italian but atmosphere and food are good.

Excellent Italian meal with friends celebrating an 80th birthday. Linguine Marianary specially made for me. Molto Bene.

Was looking forward to coming here being a local resident all my life in enfield always went past this place and thought we would try it and a relative has been coming here alot too for years. Unfortunately ordered a margarita which was exactly like a kebab shop pizza which is a disgrace itself being half italian myself this is offensive alone it was too thick full of dough and the cheese was same flavour as a kebab shop pizza topping Unbelievable. Secondly was the mussels they smelt overly fishy like a womans drawers been used for a month 🤢🤮 that is ammonia itself and very dangerous so i said no take it away but the guy was trying to guarantee they were fresh which to my knowledge being a italian myself i have been to many trattorias in napoli and amalfi and never do they produce this kind of food smelling like this , Dont get me wrong this is england and produce is different however this is not how mussels are. Seafood or shellfish should never smell that fishy Ever PERIOD!!! Thirdly garlic bread was like a hot cross bun sliced in half with a bit of garlic on it but not going to complain too much about it. And lastly the scaloppine milanese was very dry as if it was pre done veal should be moist and juicy but overall very disappointed with the outcome the staff were nice enough though just wished they could understand as an establishment im not the only one with the same reviews on their food but then again alot of westerners dont understand real italian food so will settle for this kind of quality food and think its the real deal.

A hidden gem - phone to book ahead; don't be fooled by the exterior, the food is amazing, tasty, authentic Italian, freshly cooked and well-priced. Highly recommended.

La Caverna has always been my "go to" restaurant and I like it because it's been the same for 40 years! Decent food, reasonably priced and a homely atmosphere

This place was established 1977 but these restauranteurs need to realise it's not 1977 anymore! The atmosphere is cosy sure but it's old fashioned and grim. The food is awful and badly presented. There is no offering of a complementary warm roll. The bread in the starter was dry and unpleasant. The melon with ham was pale and insipid. The pizza dry and tasteless. The younger fellow serving clearly doesn't enjoy his job and had to go out for a fag at one point. The other older fellows were friendly enough but the whole set up is stale and my advice is to step out of 1977 and into 2023 you might get some new customers that actually want to return.

Wonderful simple Mediterranean restaurant mainly Italian with some Spanish. Nothing flash just great home stye tasty cooking served by friendly people. They make you feel so welcome, we keep going back. I love the raviolli. And judging by the delivery guys leaving the place the pizzas must be amazing.

Pizzas were really disappointing for the price. Similar to the ones you get from kebab shops, thick, too much chewy cheese and undercooked in the middle, definitely not authentic Italian style. Tiramisu was delicious.

The pizza was delicious and the staff were extremely welcoming. I would definitely recommend it to anybody who is looking for a good pizza place.

First time in my life that I am given a frozen base pizza in an Italian restaurant. I couldn't believe when I saw. Went there with family, we ate, we paid and left, knowing that it was the first and last time..what an offence to italians

Even though the place is cozy and everybody is very kind, this is an Italian restaurant that serves frozen base pizzas. Never in my life I sat in a restaurant and I was given something that I could have bought in a frozen Isle of a supermarket.. Never again.

Never again. Service was terrible Food average and then the bill came up and it was so wrong….. not a pleasant experience

Service was terrible . If you order something specific I.e no sauce - waitress went to find out if that was possible - yes possible and you guessed it , it came up with a sauce. One waitress ignored us all night even when we shouted at her. Food was dry and then the bill came up and it was so wrong. Never again

So all the staff were friendly enough and we were seated straight away. Was only a few minutes and was asked if we wanted a drink. No draught lager all bottles. Our order was take for starters and mains (steak and veal) Owners were walking around the customers saying hello, asking if everything was OK which was a nice touch. Food wasn't bad, I had veal with spag boi and tasty as it was I wasn't blown away. Lovely setting restaurant, small but bright. I did find the wooden chairs became very uncomfortable after a while.. Overall not bad, lovely staff and really nice owners.

While La Caverna is an established and well liked restaurant (lots of people hugging the staff and owner), our meal was very disappointing. No doubt the pizza here is good but the Lasagne was possibly the worst I have ever had. Looks like there had been no care in its construction, with using a basic tomatoes sauce for the filling rather than a tasty ragu.

Great Italian food. I had the Inglese Pizza and was fab! The service was good and people are rlly friendly. Very filling. Would defo reccomned to a friend and defo come back again.

Probably the best Italian I have ever had, and the most reasonable too. Family run, very friendly, peaceful atmosphere and great selection of pizza pasta steaks fish, prawns mussels ( which all do wonders for my gout 😭 ) will be back very soon. Can't believe we've only recently discovered it here.

Lively and busy on a Wednesday evening in Enfield, so they must be doing something right! We had a great evening celebrating my birthday....the restaurant was buzzing which made for a great atmosphere. The guys who work at the restaurant keep things moving nicely without rushing you, and are very friendly and the owner is always whizzing around making sure everything is okay. Food was great, and the menu offers a wide range of Italian options from pasta and pizza through to meat and fish dishes. I had Huevo Al Plato to start, which was a delicious mix of baked egg, cheese, chorizo and mushrooms in a tomato sauce, followed by a Piccante Pizza....which was also fantastic. It is a true testament that this place has been going solid since 1977, and it's easy to see why....it is always busy, and they have stayed true to their roots with a great menu and delicious food.....and the prices are very reasonable....was pleasantly surprised at the bill for x6 people eating starters and mains plus drinks, which I felt was good value for lovely freshly cooked food! So if you haven't tried La Caverna, then stick it on your list....you won't regret it!

Had lamb chops, overcooked and looked and tasted like they were boiled. My partner had tuna steak, again overcooked and if it wasn’t for the sauce it would have been bone dry. Would not be going back any time soon

Solid local pizzeria with an interesting Spanish twist.

Booked for 4 for our 43 anniversary- have been there many times over the years - always lovely Sorry to say tonight was terrible- they couldn’t find our booking - but ignored by the waiting staff and left - tried to get attention no luck - couple who came an hour after us offered coffee desert- not us very upset - caused row between my husband and myself - the food was lovely but did not make up for the poor customer service very stressful. Never again not recommend

Great staff, food and service at a large family birthday celebration at La Caverna recently. We had over x20 for dinner and the staff did a great job serving delicious, hot meals to us all at the same time. Fantastic night. Will definitely return.

This place simply has the best pizzas in the country. This is not a joke statement. I have been going here (luckily) for 44 years and now drive 150 miles to get one as i moved to dorset... the rest of the food is lovely to. so glad it has survived all these years
