Food is average, the pasta dishes are good

I visited a week ago as I read the reviews and I thought I'd give Manjaros a chance. However, I went and the waitress who served us was rude and impatient. I bought my family of 6 and she gave us a tight space to fit in even though there were other tables available and told us "she couldn't do anything about that". Then, when i asked to be served we were ignored for 30 minutes. The waitress was rude, was laughing at us and she kept dirty looking us. Will definitely not be visiting again!! Not customer friendly at all. Do better!!

ordered at 16:33 eta between 16:58 & 17:03 rang them to check on order at 17:35 to be told it will be less than 5 mins and would still be hot it finally turned up at 17:50 cold and soggy i live less than 14 mins down the road. won't make the mistake of ordering from here again if unable to collect it!

A big no no if you're Gluten free. absolutely nothing on the menu!! In this day and age all Intolerances and allergies should be catered for!

Found them rude when eating meal, we were asked to move down the table, so this freed up a table. Also, when serving glasses, the waitress had her fingers in the glasse, around edge. Considering that manjaros had been recommended. I feel that it's overpriced, especially the burgers. The bun was soggy at the bottom. I felt the chicken burger from the macdonalds was much better and cheaper. Will try other places in future.

the service was extremely slow and my food was cold by the time it was served. I didn't receive a refund or even a small portion of money back for the food. all other times my food has been perfection. I am very upset by this, do better please Manjaros! I paid full price for something awful, I give Manjaros one more chance I will be back tomorrow and hopefully better service where this issue can hopefully be resolved (a refund or discount possibly??) I'd like to have a word with Jamie the owner i assume

I had my first parmo with mushrooms. They asked if I wanted a half or full. I went for a full, I couldn't eat it all. It was very popular with families and couples.

I recently visited Manjaros Middlesbrough for family dinner. The food was below average, I ordered lamb chops with mushrooms but it was to hard and mostly bones. Soft drinks are supplied in glass bottles (small). My son ordered start (prawn) but it had mostly salad and small piece of prawn. With main we had only one side and they didn't served the second side and when I asked they rudly told us that "we only serve one side with main order" mostly of the sauce bottles on the table were less than quarter or nearly finished but nobody bothered to refill them. Restroom are soo dirty and unclean and my partner had same opinion about ladies Restroom. The food was served late and it was very expensive as compare to the quality. Staff is unfriendly and rude (no trained for the restaurant business). Avoid it to save your money and time.

Amazing 😍 place for food, could fault and large portions.

First when we went inside the worker told us hurry up you need to order straight away didn't give us any time after that the food that they served was like 10/4 .Feels like waste of money and the service disappoints us the most.

I chose manjaros to dine in to my birthday. Foods are not bad but service is seriously bad. They didn’t give us any time and was rude and want us to order food and eat in 10 min than we wanted to leave the restaurant and than because other customer was sitting so manager be like sit we will do it and after that the waitress started staring us at .We don’t want to eat the food and than we packed the stuff by ourselves.Packing is not a issue but the way she throws the packing material I really get frustrated but boyfriend stops me.

Extremely good Parmo for my first try. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Lovely place with an unusual menu, especially if you like spicy food! But there's something for all tastes and the staff were very helpful and friendly

absolutely delicious food. would highly recommend to everyone. portion sizes are huge and it’s really affordable for the quality of the food. staff were nice and the atmosphere was lovely. we opted for the peppercorn chicken skewers and the pepperoni parmesan which were both incredible! 10/10

Always an amazing service. Love the parmos!

Visited for family meal on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy but we had pre booked so luckily didn’t have to wait for a table. We sat upstairs which was nice away from the busier part downstairs. Our servers were very polite and helpful. The food was served quickly and we never felt rushed. The food itself was very tasty, full of flavour and filling. I got the full hotshot Parmo with pepperoni on and ended up bringing some home with me as I was stuffed. With chips and salad that was approximately £20 which I didn’t feel was too bad based on the size and taste. They offer kids meals too for around £7 and the half Parmo were £5 less per dish. We split the bill 4 ways (as we had our kids with us) and were able to pay downstairs at the till rather than leaving the money on the table or having to wait for a card machine. There is no alcohol licence so you do need to take your own if you want any. Least this keeps the price down. They do serve soft drinks however. Overall I’d return again as the menu offered plenty of choice and we enjoyed it.

Great meal and care taken to accommodate my non-dairy so I could have the meal I preferred with a slight change to the sauce. Lovely service. Really good choice of food which came quickly with no issues.

Sauces are really good. Chicken wings really tasty. But Chicken on meal was really dry and rice didn't taste fresh. Maybe frozen or packet rice. Parmos are tasty.

Best parmo I've ever had. The bolognese parmo was absolutely out of this world.

Fabulous 👌 , travelled from Staffordshire to visit some family and was recommended by them. Didn't disappoint... Tandoori Palmo was perfect, little hint for those new to the area ... don't order a full one !

The food was good and it was nice and hot too, only downside to this place was the lighting they could do with some lights on the stairs especially after entering from the bright sunshine

Parmo was greasy, garlic isnt thick enough and drips of your food so it ruined a perfectly good tshirt chips were soggy and was late cost nearly over £4 in delivery and service charges and cost way too much

I was spoilt for choice in Middlesbrough. Sadly, I chose Manjaroos to dine in. The service was prompt and the reason ive given the 2 with a good atmosphere. After checking with the waiter I ordered myself the Waka Waka chicken with pilau rice as he had reassured me this wasn't a creamy sauce. The meal came swiftly within 10 minutes, but it turned out it had a very creamy sauce and was very spicy. I didn't complain as I'd had a long day and after 4hrs driving, I really couldn't be bothered. It's fair to say I shall not be dining here again. Very disappointed.

Great parmo, attentive staff and fast service.

The food was awful. Had no flavour and needed more seasoning. Ordered a chicken steak and 2 breasts came instead with a plate drenched in some flavourless sauce. The food tasted like washed chicken. It came with a side of rice which was rubber. Tasted like it was microwaved out of them packets you get from the supermarket. Garlic bread had no garlic taste and the size of the smash burger looked like I ordered a kids meal. I asked the waiter for the drinks as the food was already on the table and it came 20 minutes later. Wouldn’t recommend and never coming again. 60 quid down the drain😢

August 2024 We couldn’t visit Middlesbrough and not indulge in a famous parmo. Manjaros parmos did not disappoint, we went for a traditional one but had some of the manjaros dipping sauce and it was delicious! The kids went for the the caribbean style chicken pasta and another went for the caribbean style chicken rice (not super authentic but super tasty) Can’t say much about the service as we opted for take out to enjoy on our way home but they prepared it quickly and were friendly enough and polite. Food was hot and fresh. Would definitely return if back in Middlesbrough at any time

As me and my partner were getting up to leave he bent over to have a last sip of water before we left. An employee seeing this came up to us and said to me that I need to sit down and let him finish his water as to which I responded that we are finished and he doesn’t want the rest of it. The employee then proceeded to tell me that I wasn’t asked to speak ( nobody said you could speak sit down ) and told me to sit down. Overall I was very taken aback and upset with this poor customer service as he was very rude and unprofessional.

Well I feel really sorry for my daughters experience tonight , snotty waitress serving the wrong order and teens arnt very confident with conflict so eat food that she didn’t want. Remember Manjaros its the young people that you need to please as our daughter and all of our family won’t return when you employ misery in the form of miserable unhelpful people

Manjaros is really great. I recommend here. I had a salad meal with a side and a desert as well. The ambience is great as well

Sticky menus with 100's of choices should have set off my alarms, but this place is a go to apparently. However, the food (smash Burger and a veggie wrap) turned out to be very underwhelming. I'm also very wary about sauce bottles without caps/lids. Is this a thing now or just in this place?

food was great, service was quick however we didn't appreciate being asked to leave an hour into our food as the table was needed. We were going to have another drink but as we were asked to leave we went elsewhere. Not sure I would rush back.

I used to come here years ago and would always get the wakka wakka chicken and loved it, recently came in and it was made completely different cause now it’s swimming in a load of sauce with onions and peppers which is not as described on the menu… staff were nice but no1 checked on us for extra drinks or anything. Won’t be getting that meal again unfortunately

Fantastic food with great portions

A very nice meal with the family. We ordered the famous Middlesbrough Parmo after reading online that this was the best version of it. If I'm honest, it's hard to see how any other can beat it. The chicken was succulent and crispy on the outside and the topping of cheese was perfectly grilled. The full parmo is absolutely gigantic. I'm 99KG man who loves his food and struggled to complete it. I didn't. So order a half portion and you will be just fine, or a full and share, probably better price wise.

You can't go wrong with Manjaros. Everything on their menu is a speciality, and they have a signature taste that you can't find elsewhere.

Food was average Parmo didn’t have much flavour got the tandoori special one , can’t fault the grilled chicken dishes deffo would recommend them over the parmos here. Service was great they accommodated for a very large group of us on short notice .

Parmos are top top quality. Manjaros definately hold the crown on top parmos. Dining is great, comfortable, and plenty of staff which happily help. Food wait time doesn’t take long at all, and this place definately fills you up. In a great location too.

I have order Chichen Tandoori Pizza . After waiting for more then 30 minutes. I get a pizza with only cheese on it. only two slices of pizza have Chichen and. stuffing on it.rest is all cheese. For that i payed 12 £. That middlesbrough Restaurant manajaros. Dissapointed.

Wow! First time trying Manjaros and we are very happy, lovely food! My husband who always moans thoroughly enjoyed it, staying at white waters caravan park and had it delivered will definitely do this again!

All the girl staff were on their phones not taking people’s orders, no wonder there’s like a 20 minute wait time to even be seated. Music is great tho and the food was 10/10

First class takeaway. Opted for mushroom parmo and wasn't disappointed, absolutely delicious. Decent portion size, pleased I hope a half as would have struggled with a full one. Will definitely be back.

Had my birthday here upstairs, great food and great service

Ordered waka waka chicken it came and the chicken looked like it came out of a tin and was very tough. They kindly changed this for me when I informed them and on deciding what I wanted I requested no cheese on the wrap. It came with cheese so could not eat this they took t0 per cent of my meal. My husband could not fault his meal. First meal was pure quality and then couldn't listen to get my meal right the second Time

The best parmo I have ever had!

We came to try the parmo which is highly raved about.And we were definitely not disappointed. We ordered the hot shot parmo, 9/10 for me. It was so delicious we loved it but it’s definitely not the best one parmo that we had in Middlesborough.Ws also ordered the roasted chicken with the spiciest sauce and it was so spicy and nice.10/10 for me the chicken that came was so big.I would definitely ask everyone to try Manjaros when they come to Middlesborough!It’s worth every penny and the portion is huge!

The food on the whole, for the rest of my party, was very much enjoyed, however there was a distinct lack of vegetarian or vegan options so I had to have pizza. It was nice, but I would have preferred some more choices!

Food is exceptionally tasty, especially the garlic chicken and mushroom pasta. You get a lot of food, but they will provide you with a food carton to take home any with you that you can't eat at the restaurant. My partner had the mini mixed grill and the portion size would easily feed 2 people. Staff are polite and friendly. Service is great, from ordering to the food being brought to the table is about 5 minutes, 10 minutes if they're busy (which they usually are), but the wait is definitely worth it.

Its my second time here and I am only here for the Parmo. The best I ever had. Literally drove to Boro for an hour to have this. There is quite a waiting list to get a table. But we were called in around 20mins. Ordered a Large original parmo and we shared it among 3 of us. So satisfying! The cheese was melting in my mouth. Will definitely go again!

The parmo's are amazing. Could do with an alcohol licence though. Wouldn't mind returning to try something else.

First time trying Manjaros and honestly I was well impressed by the quality of the food and the flavours. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a friendly worker and taken to our seats. We ordered starters Dynamite King Prawns which were 10/10 the sauce that it came with was brilliant Chicken Wings which were 7/10 mains smash patty burgers which were on special offers “by one get one free” 10/10 so juicy and flavourful and The Original half Chicken Parmesan 9/10 which was massive considering I ordered the half size and not full size, it had me wondering how big the full size one must be lol. Overall brilliant place to eat and definitely worth recommending to anyone.

Very busy restaurant serving delicious well cooked food. Very friendly atmosphere with great staff keen to ensure you have a great dining experience. No alcohol served but BYO is no problem with mini market only 2 doors away.

Lovely food and one of the best restaurants I have been to. Lovely service and big portions. I haven't had carrabien food before but it was delicious. Hope this helped you to decide where to eat.

Have visited multiple times in the past and its been great but we visited at the weekend and the table next to us who were seated AFTER us got their order taken and their food before we even had our drinks order taken so we got up and left. Appalling service. I can appreciate that the restaurant was busy but thats just an absolute joke.
