Excellent parmo and good atmosphere

Delivered ahead of schedule, food was hot fresh and excellent quality.

We recently visited Manjaros for their Sunday dinner service with friends from out of town, expecting a great meal. While the food itself was good, the poor service, inexperienced staff, and lack of attention to detail completely ruined the evening. Our soup took far too long to arrive, and when our mains came, the mash potatoes were missing with no mention that they would arrive separately. After complaining, they eventually brought them over—without even an apology. We also ordered two waters and a Coke, which never arrived. After having to complain again, they brought the drinks almost immediately, proving they had completely forgotten about us. The entire time, we watched inexperienced staff making multiple mistakes, creating a chaotic dining experience. What made it worse was seeing some of the wait staff on their break receiving better service than us as paying customers. To top it all off, the toilets were absolutely filthy and clearly hadn’t been checked or cleaned all evening, which was completely unacceptable. The final straw was as we were leaving—rather than acknowledging us, the front-of-house staff were too busy complaining about how customers "only complain to get free food." It was incredibly unprofessional and just reinforced how little they care about customer experience. Despite the food being good, the overall experience was terrible. Poor service, lack of professionalism, and unclean facilities make this a place I won’t be returning to, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Came to Teeside for the day and had to get a proper parmo whilst we were there and this place did not disappoint! The food parmos were incredible and the portions were insane. I got a full parmo and instantly regretted it as it turned up. The tandoori chicken parmo was exceptional 👌 the pepperoni and the garlic mushroom parmos were also top rated by my friends. The service was good but we did have to go up to the bar to ask for another drink as we couldn't get anyone's attention. There was a lot of young staff who clearly avoided eye contact with customers to minimise interaction. It was busy for 3pm on a Saturday and as we were leaving it was getting busier. Lovely deco and lovely restaurant.

We went as a group of 6, our order arrived with a wait for 1 item at both starters and mains, drinks were brought we didn't order and one was added to the bill accidentally. Food is good, but the garlic sauce was lacking garlic for us and the manjaroes parmo was a little bland. service could be better. The staff were all pleasant and polite.

A gem. Surprisingly good. Not what we expected...not sure what we expected anyway, but this place was busy and buzzing. The food was really excellent. Can't fault it

Fantastic food as always, husband complained about larger, however staff changed it immediately and happy to do this. Would highly recommend. Recommend booking first due to high demand

Food was lovely as always but I don't think I'll ever dine in again. As we were finishing our lunch yesterday one of the staff (looked like one of the managers or shift supervisor) was cleaning up a table near us. To clean the table he took a used napkin from the previous patron and dipped it into a half drunk glass of water that had been left. I couldn't believe what I'd seen. If that's what they're doing in the restaurant I'd dread to think what other things happen behind closed doors. Not good enough.

Food, service and atmosphere all excellent and always consistent.

We celebrated my daughter's 16th birthday here and it was fabulous, food and service was amazing, great atmosphere and staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble, will definitely be paying a return visit.

We went on a Friday evening. Reception lady was polite and greeted us well. However, one staff member in particular was extremely rude. We were asked to leave our table as we had overstayed our reservation by 5minutes. We had absolutely no problem leaving to allow more guests, but the manner of this being communicated was awful. After (a blonde female staff member) shouted across the room that we had to leave and was airing her frustrations in front of all guests, another young staff member then came over to take our payment and obviously felt entitled to huff and puff and disregard us in the same manner. Would never normally leave a bad review but I simply would not go back to this place again.

First and only visit. Chicken tough and tasteless smothered in sauce the spicy rice don't spend the extra pound not worth it chips were dreadful, cold soggy very disappointing . Took the chicken home for the dog ! Service OK ish tho few of the staff really obviously didn't want to be there ! Not cheap at over £30 a head much much better places to eat . Will ot be returning

I cant believe this happened. i heard a rumour that if you go up to any waiter and say ,zhein ali has crusty cracks, you get a free drink. I thought it was a joke. Its not. Try it out. Got a fruit shoot for free as well. Unreal

As regular customers of Manjaro's I cannot fault this restaurant in any way, the food quality is of exemplary standard, the staff are polite and attentive, and the atmosphere is pleasant to be within. We have sat in, taken out and had food delivered. Only having a bad experience once with delivery drivers which was no affiliated to the restaurant.

Do not get a full parmo, it will be the end of you! Lovely food and service, very nicely done out inside. Lovely staff gave me a take home box for the other half of the parmo. Trust me - order a half.

Lovely restaurant good food good service plenty of free parking first time here so will rate again after next visit - prices reasonable considering the quality of the food

Exactly the same food as the Middlesbrough one but stale chips, and unfortunately you have to pay for the sauces! Very noisy and too dark to read the menu. Will just go to the Boro one where I can have all the sauces I want and take my own drinks.

Very slow service, had to ask for order to be taken and still waiting 40 minutes after ordering , table next to us arrived after and had practically finished their meal while we were still patiently waiting. Upon eventually asking, we were told large party had come in - and ?? If other people were eating, why weren’t we?? Would have been courteous to come to table to apologise or at the very least update regarding delay, but don’t think this even occurred to the staff. Food eventually came out 50 minutes after ordering and my particular dish was lukewarm. Didn’t dare mention the food temperature in case it took another 50 minutes. Always leave a tip, but unfortunately they did not deserve a tip at all, as waitressing staff although pleasant did not help or even care regarding customer service Food is good, but only go when not busy and restaurant able to cope with lower number of customers

Ordered food and waited over 3 hours, over 10 phone calls from various numbers in an attempt to contact the restaurant before finally eating at home. Then to be told they could make it and send it out. Awful customer service and I wouldn't recommend a delivery to anyone.

SUPERB. Parmos are magnificent and huge, could only manage half in the restaurant, took half home. Best I've eaten in the area for a long time, clean, great staff, won't argue at the price as I'll happily pay for good food.

1st time I've visited the restaurant. I've always had takeaways in the past. Host very friendly and food outstanding. Highly recommended, but make sure you book a table.

Manjaros Ingelby has incredible food which I look forward to every time I order. I always get delivery after work especially their parmo and my flatmate recently had the new sheesh kebabs which were delicious. However, the smash burgers are my type of thing, which I always seem to go for recently. The first time I ordered it I was blown away. The last few times I have ordered, there was little to no sauce and onions in the burger, so it tasted really plain and not worth the money as it’s just bland and nothing on your local burger van. I hope they can stay consistent because when done right - they slap.

Great food and choice on the menu and better still what I ordered was buy one buy another half price …. Bargain

Great gluten free options. Never eaten inside yet as its been lovely weather so sat outside. Ordering for outside is on the ap which is fast.

Myself and my friends come here all the time for our catch up. Food and service are always impeccable, and the ambiance inside is perfect for our get togethers. We will always keep this our regular place because nothing is too much trouble and we always feel welcomed!

Fantastic service, friendly and helpful. Food a disappointment, tried to add lots of salt and pepper to everything but still bland!

Amazing food and lovely service from staff, the only issue i had was the atmosphere. The location itself feels luxurious and high end (despite the food prices being average) and i felt like it was cheapened from feeling high end by the amount of people in neon tracksuits and loungewear.

Brilliant and worth paying the extra

Says on the website to call for a reservation, decided to do that, but no one likes to answer the phone… twice. Waitering staff are also very dismissive, just told us to come back at 7 and replied with “I know” when I told them no one was answering the phone. Need better staff 👍🏽

The service here was exceptional, the food was delicious with a great atmosphere. We were a party of 8, seven adults and a child (11) not one complaint regarding the food or service, portion sizes are more than adequate and very reasonably priced. This was my first visit and certainly won't be my last, I can very highly recommend the mushroom topped chicken waka waka, the husband said it was by far the best parmo he'd ever eaten, and the daughter was equally impressed with her pizza, highly recommended.

Popped in for a coffee today, lovely staff, friendly, good quick service. Nice location overlooking the golf course. Shame access is through a housing estate but it’s worth the 5 minute detour.

Nice place but food average, coliflower cheese was just bechamel sauce with cheese on top, all I could teste was flour, beef was slow cooked and forced into a circle to make it look like a bit of beef I think, don't think I'd go for a Sunday dinner again

First time in Manjaros, being welcomed was lovely into a vibrant restaurant filled with chatter and laughter. With dark walls lots of decorative lighting flowers, plants and big windows the inside is so stunning, a good mix of tables and banquets which have really high backs. The staff are all very young but they are very attentive drinks ordered and brought to our table quickly, menu browsed which for hubby was easy Chicken Parmesan I couldn’t decide between chicken kebabs or sizzling chicken fajitas which is what I chose. The food didn’t take too long to arrive my sizzling platter arrived with another plate with smashed sour cream, avocado, a spicy salsa, cheese and 4 small fajitas, then the half Parmesan arrived it was big with chips and salad leaves. The food was delicious nice and hot the portions are big. Staff were very attentive checking if everything was okay and did we need more drinks which we did. We did look at the dessert menu but decided against one as we full and couldn’t eat anything else. Overall we had a fantastic meal at not a bad price there was a noisy table near us but once they had gone the restaurant was enjoyable with low chatter and excellent music. We will be eating there again and highly recommend Manjaros 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

More plant based/healthy options would be good. Fair range of vegetation choices but not vegan. One pasta dish can be dairy free. Vegetarian pasta basta made without cheese or cream. It was tasty. Service was excellent and patient considering how busy it was. In general all too meat heavy.

Had a staff meal here. Very clean, served by polite staff who were very welcoming. Food was served and prepared very quickly and was lovely. I had tje Caribbean prawns and the Manjaros Mess for pudding. Both were gorgeous.

Great service, the staff are very attentive, helpful and friendly. It has a lovely atmosphere, background music but not too loud, beautifully decorated. The food is very nice, one of the best parmos I have tried. I have tried quite a few dishes on the menu as I love to come back here for dinners out. My only personal critique would be the Mac n cheese ball starter could do with a little more flavour to it and the Chicken Rasta pasta wasn't to my liking, it had a spice to it but again I felt it needed a little more.... Something I'm not sure.
