I live in London , travelled to B ‘ham and decided to dine at Manjaro. We were very hungry . Starter was the Caribbean prawn main was, ,Achari Parmesan chicken , loaded fries with chicken and waka waka chicken . Every single item was bland . No flavour at all . Even the steak chips was dry, I still did not like after adding salt . Mocktail ( pina malada) was not how it should taste . I won’t be recommending and will not be visiting again .

Food is ok. Charging full price for soft drinks when boycotting makes no sense, but ok. Service needs improvement.

Extremely disappointed in the food, barely any taste. All of the chicken is cooked exactly the same. I am not sure if the food is even marinated for 24 hours as stated on the menu’s. The service was good, atmosphere was good also but what’s the point if the food is so disappointing! My first and last visit. Unfortunately it is not for me. When visiting order less to see if you enjoy it before ordering more.

Worst experience of a restaurant. Not enough staff. Food was terrible. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Felt like the Manjaros before it moved to Ladypool Rd was better. Portions seemed to have got smaller, although it's still a decent size. The food was good especially the garlic bread with cheese. The service from the male waiters seem to be lacking, whilst all the girls (especially the shift/team lead waitress) were much better. Decent overall.

I went to manjaros to try some of the food which is recently priced. This was my second visit and I honestly love the burst of flavour I get. I bought the waka waka chicken, with spicy rice, salad and chips. It was creamy and delicious. I couldn’t stop eating it but it was very filling and I was able to obtain a takeaway bag. The waiters are friendly and asked us if everything was okay with our food - keep smiling! I appreciated the quick turnaround to receive our food which was nice. I think Manjaros should offer a munch box where you can try different small dishes all at once. I think whilst the food was great and filling, we could have done with a little bit more salad which was a in a measly small cup. I loved everything about the food .. however manjaros could improve their toilets and also the orange hair they have in front of the sign on ladypool road - please make it more aesthetic. Also I understand they have offers via Instagram for dining in a Tuesday etc pls make this more obvious - more people will attend! I hope this place doesn’t close down because it’s become my secret spot now. Keep it up Manjaros and May God bless your business.

Make sure to come here it’s amazing. My whole family loved their food. Food was on time, fast and well made served by very polite staff fitted orders to my likings. Made everyone feel very comfortable and welcome.

loved everything in manjaros the staff were really friendly and well mannered their service was quick and was worth the wait the food was amazing so i would highly reccomend manjaros to anyone for taking thier famuly out dof a meal will be visiting again inshallah

The food is not authentic African/ Carribbean food and tastes like someone just rustled it up by following a recipe book. Spices seasoning was not right. The toilet was broken and had no toilet paper. The waiters are young and inexperienced needed to ask for several basic tableware such as salt and spoons. They only serve bottles of water with straws which sink into the bottle. The restaurant itself is very dark due to decor...a bit over kill of black. Only plus was the waiter at the door was welcoming and had great mannerisms.

I recently visited Manjaros Birmingham and had a wonderful experience. The food was great, full of flavour, and prepared to perfection. The service was equally impressive, with attentive staff ensuring that everything went smoothly throughout the meal. The dishes were tasty, and the overall atmosphere made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be returning for another visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious food and excellent service.

Was there with friends last week and the place is amazing food is on point and love the decor, I was recommended there signature parmesans and also tried the peppered wings and honestly the best food I’ve had in a while another great thing was the prayer room very nicely painted and looked after

5 star rating. First time coming here and we’re welcomed from the point of entry. My 2 daughters had a great time. Myself and my husband were very impressed by the brother who served us and also welcomed us again. Even it was just go use the facilities. Insha Allah may Allah give you barkat in your business.

I recently visited the new Manjaros Birmingham branch for the first time, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. Upon arrival, the staff at the entrance weren’t welcoming. We were simply seated with menus, despite being the only customers in the restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes as a group of five. My usual go-to is the Hot Shot Parmasan, but this time the Manjaros sauce didn’t taste the same, and I was served only around eight chips, which felt a bit underwhelming. The experience took a turn for the worse when it came time to pay. We always split the bill, but the lady at the till rudely informed us that only one card payment was allowed per table, which I found ridiculous. We weren’t even given the option to pay partly in cash or use multiple cards. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told no managers were available. Her attitude was appalling, and the lack of assistance left a bad taste in our mouths. It would have been helpful if we had been informed of this payment policy upon arrival. For a restaurant of this size, such a restriction is both inconvenient and unprofessional. The aesthetics of the restaurant were nice, but my experience was overshadowed by the poor service. I didn’t feel comfortable enough to take photos or videos, which I normally would for social media. The chair I was seated on had wobbly legs, and I noticed that the wooden frames next to the flower wall were dusty, which didn’t add to the atmosphere of cleanliness. Honestly, the staff need proper training, or in some cases, should be replaced entirely. The rude child they had on the till showed no respect, no professionalism, and quite frankly, should be removed if this restaurant wants to improve its service standards. Overall, I left preferring the old branch, as the service and environment here need serious improvement.

Group of 5, ordered a couple of starters and meals from a male waiter, food took a long time and despite asking for starters first, all the food came at the same time. Drinks were warm, asked for glasses and ice and the female waiter was annoyed. No seats/sofas in waiting area, before being seated at a busy time, despite being opened for quite sometime. Some dishes were nice, some not so great. So a mix bag really.

Can’t believe how badly run it is. Staff was very unwelcoming almost like I wasn’t even welcomed. Very overrated had starters then they didn’t bother and basically kicked us out. Given cutlery that wasn’t even cleaned properly !!

When for family meal was quiet only 3 tables with customers greeted by a staff memeber and seated at our own choice which was great .food came later staff memeber hardly spoke to us no great or smile placed sides and walk away then when food (mains) came asked 2 memebers of staff for sauces we still didnt receive them stopped asking as third time asking would have been pointless even with the first guy we asked walked past our table with sauces for the other table next to us but not us i would understand if it was busy but it was quiet we was very DISSAPOINTED has we spent over £100 pounds i would recommed MAJAROS THINK ABOUT CUSTOMERS EXPERIENCES glad i saw this today as i was gonna book my sons birthday here all around 5 out of 10 sorry guys but a let down today

The food always hits the spot at this place.. the parmo’s are the best in brum & the pasta is lovely too. Special shoutout to Adz, his service is always spectacular all the time! He always greets us with a friendly face, recommends us great dishes on the menu & provided us with spectacular service throughout our meal. Always asking if we need anything further! Addressing Manjaros Mgt. 🔊 … what’s going on with the Food Portions as its getting shrinked day by day while charges are way too high 🙄… also the delivery packaging is extremely funny & cheap which shows your quality nose-diving which is a shame … was regular customer of yours but I don’t like ordering it anymore … pls took some drastic measures before it’s too late …. Horrible experience for last 4-5 orders 😞

It was my first time going there i must say i was very disappointed the food was not to a high standard it was not what i expected and i would not go there again the chicken was uncooked l,the pepper sauce had a strange taste all i can say i would not visit again it's a shame wanted a lovely evening meal out

Went with 5 of us in total - good service, amazing food and good pricing for 5 of us including drinks for under £70 - I’ve read some of the reviews before posting mine and genuinely feel like some of them might be fake because the experience we had today was great, thank you to the waiter for taking some awesome pictures for us - would recommend 4.5/5 - lamb chops weren’t the best and could be improved is my only criticism

First time visiting this site (usually went to the old restaurant on Stratford Road). Waiters seemed confused and new - not really knowing what is happening. All they need is a bit of training and they will be fine. Food was very nice. Freshly served in a timely manner. Ambiance was nice - however, would advise staff to let customers know who have children blasting tablets/phones to keep the volume down. Thank you!

Worst staff, rude and arrogant, especially the girl which gives order to delivery drivers she's totally illiterate and idiot, she don't know how to talk to anyone, shows attitude like she's the daughter of queen...

Overall- 3.5/5 Food is decent, Likes- Good variety and presentation. Decor is good, food is up-to standard. Caribbean pasta with Mozzarella and the loaded fries were sublime. Good spot to go with family. Dislikes- Service very slow given there was only around 3 tables downstairs at the time. The drinks turned up when we were almost done with our food after we chased, too much ice in the Mocktails which are mainly £5+ you are not getting your moneys worth. We paid around £45 for 2 Caribbean Pasta’s, 1 loaded fries and 2 mocktails. Revisit- Yes with family but not actively worth going out the way for.

Delicious food served with some great customer service, nice and cozy interiors , neat and clean place.

Ordered mushroom sauce la cream the mashrooms were hard, ordered chicken in pita with melted cheese when the order come it had a slice of cheese when questioned why isn’t there melted cheese when you charged replied we dont have the melting mechine or the melted cheese. In the end they gave is 10% discount. The staff are nice but the food not good 👎🏼

Waiters were deliberately rude, didn’t take our order up until 15 mins later. Didn’t get a very welcome vibe at all compared to what they portray on their tik tok.

Good food. Gets very busy. Be aware though: they expect you to sign a piece of paper re liability for allergens. We were about to leave as iv never had this before and we eat out a lot.

The lamb chops are nice and the service is good. It would be great if you stopped selling coke which supports the genocide of Palestinians and has opened factories on forcibly evicted Palestenian land.

Big portion but standarts taste. Side salad was nothing special, minimum effect. For taste wise, overpriced, but atmosphere was family based with the second floor and picture area.

Really enjoyed going to this place with my daughters food was really nice and service used to be spot on but not lately!! The short guy with a beard I think he's the owners son or nephew and the girl with the headscarf constantly flirting with each other and not paying attention to customers this is not what I want my daughters to be seeing on a meal out Very disappointed

Food was average nothing spectacular, chips were very chunky and dry. The old manjaros was a lot better in my opinion. Also how can these guys justify charging £2.95 for a can of rubicon mango! One thing i absolutely loved was that they had a proper prayer room upstairs 👌🏼

Consistent taste. Lemon and herb half chicken meal with salad and chunky chips.

Overall, not worth the price. Chicken is overmarinated and some of it was not cooked well. On top of that waiters/cook was arguing with other cooks. The pilau rice was atrocious and was basiclly plain boiled rice with yellow coloring (spicy rice was edible). The lamb chaps were ok, but were clealry cheaper/very small in size and chewy. Tried something new with manjoroes and I wouldn't return lol.

If you want to try a good rasta pasta, don’t come here. Get it from Manjaro’s Southall, the chef there actually knows what he’s doing.

I ordered through Uber for collection. I went to counter to collect food and person said next window outside which you have to wait on road. Kitchen staff didn’t bother to ask about order but when I tried to tell him doesn’t seem to be bothered to hear even. I felt so humiliated. Received wrong order after receiving food 15 minutes late. Kitchen door was open because of weather was hot. I saw kitchen staff keep putting his thumb and fingers in mouth when picking trays to put food in for collection and put fingers in mouth again when put garlic bread in tray with hand and no use of kitchen utensils and put fingers in mouth again when put food in to bag. Very dirty people with just a big show off at front but service and treatment is lowest of the low. I have attached photo they gave me both item same one with cheese one without when I ordered one Rasta pasta and one chicken garlic mashroom. Very dirty and unhygienic kitchen staff. Went there with friends. We were 14 all together and they really accommodate us by joining the tables so we could sit together. Hotshot Parmesan was good. And on friend recommendation tried their pizza as well, which was really good. The salad wasn't really felt fresh but it might be just on that day. Overall they really accommodate us which is really appreciated. Could be five stars but finding parking spot in a surrounding really needs a lot of effort at busy time.

Iv been 3 times, 1st time I didn’t like it the portion size was really small to the point I had to order extra and it is overpriced for what they provide. 2nd time was decent not the best not the worst 3rd time the waiters don’t know nothing took long just to get extra sauces and the lamb chops were so small after one bite it was done, another thing they don’t sell steak, where as the old majaros was so much better service better food and bigger portions and they would sell steak anyway I doubt il be here again, overall 6/10

Most of the meat/chicken dishes tend to have the same base of being over marinated in sauce. Manjoras definitely need to review their menu and understand that meat and poultry dishes shouldn't be overpowered by dollops of marinade as you lose the flavour of the meat itself. The pizza, on the other hand, was surprisingly good and was definitely on oar with NY pizza..the crust with crispy and it had a nice fold! I will definitely come back for the pizza, but the rest of the menu was considerably unpalatable!

Nicely decorated inside, but parking is an absolute mare! Food came reasonably quick and warm. Good size serving, I finished but kids took theirs home. Nephew of the owner (sorry forget his name) greeted us and was present enough but I think he should be in trousers & shirt not jogging bottoms and top personality, to complement the interior. Didn't like the fact they won't give tap water, bottled only and at over £3, refused to pay, which didn't go down well. Also served us cheap brand cola, which tasted watery ( political reasons?). Would go back and recommend however bring your own water £70 for a family of four seems a bit rich to me.

Came here to get a Parmo to take out. Parmo itself was amazing, chips were okay. The staff were absolutely great, very friendly, had a laugh with them while we waited.

We went for my sister's birthday on 27th April. The waiters were not paying any attention and were too busy messing around. When the food came, they mixed up our order with someone elses built thankfully it was the same item. I ordered the mini mix grill which was on the whole disappointing. Only the lamb chops were good. The rice tasted like it was a day old and had been microwaved. My wife had the creamy peppercorn waka waka which was brilliant. If I was to go again, I'd order what they do well which is the chicken parm and the waka waka dishes. The rest didn't seem all that unfortunately. Attached the menu for other folks. Apparently they don't have the menu on the website 😡

Do get me wrong, please. Each to their own, The place looks good and quite busy. I didn't enjoy the good because of the sauce they use, and it's like a all rounder sauce, same with most dishes. Well, I didn't like it,but it doesn't mean you won't like it. I did find paying £2.95 for a can, which is at the most in a restaurant £1.50 a bit expensive. And that gose for the food too. I can say I will never go to manjaros again.

Food is okay overall, the chips are quite dry and chunky, the salad is not fresh for its price range, that’s quite disappointing, nice presentation of food, but no cutlery and napkins ready prepared, those came after the food being served to us upon request. No tap water served here only bottled ones available will not give you a cup for it as well. Service overall is just Okay, it would get a pass if it’s for a take away place, but need improvements as a restaurant. The atmosphere is quite nice here with nice interior, the toilets were not cleaned during my visit. Overall okayish experience.

Travelled all the way from Wales & ended up eating here after a big shopping spree. They only had a set menu for Ramadan. The waiter mixed our food with someone else, we had to ask for cutlery (which the waiter never gave) so I ended up getting up & going to the desk. Service was really slow (for a set menu, u would think it would be faster) Food was over priced for basic pasta and chicken. Not a nice end to our trip. Would AVOID at all costs.

I had the chicken parmesan which was delicious and crunchy, we had the mix grill as well, chicken was a little dry but the lamb chops were so tender and juicy.

This is a warning for those who like to throw money away by going to this dead place. Ordered food and the meat was cold from the inside as it was definitely pre cooked and warmed on the pan with a whole load of sauce covered on top. The grill served looked more like a curry. The tray had 10 piece of chips in it. The salad was 100% old as it looked it was picked from outside garden. The waiter is a absolute lost case kept forgetting the food. Food was so dead felt like hitting him.

Use to go to the old place a lot decided to try the new place have time say was so impressed the venue was absolutely lovely and very clean, the staff were well drilled but most importantly the food absolutely delicious the mix grill was tasty and very well cooked. The parmo was crispy and cooked to perfection. The menu is very big and caters for all sometimes i think a bit too much is going on but the food was so nice it makes me want to try other things. Overall, it was a great experience deffo a place to bring the family. Also a bonus is they accept card.

Normally Manjaros restaurant are excellent but Birmingham a little bit less.

We decided to go to Manjaros on Saturday night and it was busy but was worth the little wait the food especially the waka waka steak was delicious with peppercorn sauce, the lamb chops where cooked beautiful and where very tasty...juicy...my daughter is usually so fussy but she loved their chicken nuggets they where so fresh and crispy not the normal frozen ones u get..the food wad very nice...perfect portion sizes for all...kids and adults...the steak comes with 2 pieces of the chicken and its so filling...well worth it .

Great food and the pasta salad s the best

First time been to this eatery by accident. Meant to look for Shababs. But it's a nice experience that is different to the normal Indian foods. First impression of staff were inexperience servers. Ordered drinks and waited for more than 10min and need to chase up the drinks and it wasn't even busy, we are the second or third tables on that evening. Ordered some starters and main was mixed grilled. The chops were cold and should not be served at this temperature when outside was 5 degrees. Hopefully we will try again not but mistakes next time.

My recent visit to Manjaros Restaurant in Birmingham with my friends unfolded into a regrettable ordeal, leaving an indelible mark on what should have been a simple dining experience. The string of disappointments, unprofessional conduct and subsequent health issues have compelled me to share this account. We ordered the combo which included chicken and lamb pieces. The value of the combo meal was £15. I was anticipating a delightful fusion of chicken and lamb. However, the reality was far from pleasant. There was 3 pieces of chicken and 3 pieces of lamb swimming in a sauce mixture. When we expressed our concerns about this, the portion size and the chicken being undercooked, the manager's unhelpful response and unprofessional demeanour, including a refusal to disclose his name and resorting to childish behaviour, set the tone for an unpleasant encounter. What compounded our dissatisfaction was the manager's insistence on their policy to cook the food again, claiming it would take a mere 5-6 minutes. This raised immediate concerns about the freshness of the ingredients and unfortunately, became a cause for genuine discomfort. I requested for the food not to be cooked again and for a refund which the managers refused. I was happy to pay for the rest of the food which I had ordered. To my dismay, the following day brought a new set of challenges as I experienced food poisoning symptoms, which I believe may be directly related to the quick-cooked food from the previous day. The sudden onset of sickness and subsequent discomfort added another layer of distress to an already disheartening experience. This entire episode not only cast doubt on the restaurant's commitment to food safety but also highlighted the potential consequences of hasty cooking practices. I implore Manjaros Restaurant to take this feedback seriously, reassess their food preparation procedures and prioritise both customer satisfaction and safety in their operations. In sharing this experience, my hope is that others can make informed decisions about their dining choices and that Manjaros takes proactive measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Visited on a Thursday evening. Two servers and who looked like the manager/owner were working. I had to send my hotshot parmesan back to the kitchen because the chicken was absolutely burnt to a crisp. I also witnessed two other tables send their food back in the kitchen (not sure what there reasons were). Found 3 strands of hair in my wife’s hotshot Parmesan. Not my wife’s hair or my hair length could only be from the kitchen staff as it was between then cheese sauce and the chicken. Not the greatest of meals out will be remain memorable for all the wrong reasons. Could hear lots arguing and shouting coming out of the kitchen. Seemed understaffed or unprepared for a busy evening to say the least.

Food is amazing here. Will definitely recommend trying waka waka and Parmesan. Especially hotshot Parmesan.

Went to Manjaros after doing some shopping with family, in Birmingham. Went at lunch time, not very busy. Ordered couple of dishes. Food was nice. Got parking on side street. Will be going again.

The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender on the inside with a crispy coating that had just the right amount of Parmesan goodness 😋. The hot shot variant added a delightful kick without overpowering the dish. It's a fusion of flavors that I didn't know I needed until I tried it. The portion size was generous, and the presentation was appealing. The service was friendly and attentive, making the overall dining experience enjoyable. Many thanks

Absolutely incredible service, atmosphere and food. Honestly couldn't fault anything! Belal (or Bilal, sorry not sure of spelling!) was so attentive and looked after us so well. Really enjoyed coming and will definitely be coming back again soon. 100% recommend :)
