Really enjoyed my food here will definitely come again and recommend to others. I hope people support them as it’s difficult taking on a place like this. The food speaks for itself and if they keep that side up the rest will surely follow, I wouldn’t be too judgemental if you come to dine here and just focus on the food quality and service let’s support our local eateries

We had the most delicious 3 course meal last night, the steak was beautifully cooked I would say one of the tastiest I have had. Will definitely be back.

Waiter doesn't have a clue what he is doing, the location is the old function suite, they have done it up but its always very empty and no atmosphere, also smashed windows. Burger is very small, was left hungry, Steak was tasty but asked for peppercorn sauce, got mushroom sauce, it had mushrooms in it but the waiter argued that it was peppercorn, Won't be returning.

We were looking forward to a nice steak and the score on Google promised us a lot of good things. Only one bad review. After we parked the car, we walked onto the grounds where a staff member was smoking a cigarette on the stairs near the front door. No sight and it smelled like smoke. Once inside it didn't look like much. Faded glory. We walked into the room that represented the restaurant. What an old, decaying mess! Only 2 tables occupied and it looked like a bingo room in a retirement home. We immediately turned around and left. We eventually ended up at Enzo restaurant where the food was excellent, the service top notch and the ambiance even better.

We were looking forward to a tasty piece of meat and found Tartan on Google with 1 bad review. We walked towards the front door where an employee was smoking a cigarette, not really a warm welcome. The ladies were friendly and we walked into the dining room in good spirits, what a disappointment! A huge dreary room where two couples sat with a faded carpet on the floor. Then I did something I don't do easily, turned around and left!

The experience was deeply disappointing, and I regret to say I won’t be returning. The venue is a converted function room at the side of the hotel, featuring uneven flooring and visibly worn carpets. A smashed window patched with tape detracted further from the ambiance. The space felt cold and unwelcoming, with small electric heaters at each table proving inadequate to warm such a large, dimly lit room. The bathrooms, though functional, are outdated and could benefit from refurbishment to align with guest expectations. As for the food, the burger arrived cold and overly greasy, overwhelmed by an excess of mayonnaise. The patties were unseasoned and lacking flavor, their temperature further diminished by the chilly environment. Serving the meal on a slate felt like a superficial attempt to elevate presentation without addressing the basics. The chips, however, were the only redeeming aspect of the meal. On a positive note, the waitress provided friendly and professional service, even offering a £10 voucher after we expressed our dissatisfaction. Despite this gesture, I see little incentive to return. There also appeared to be no gluten-free options available, a detail that caused another couple to leave shortly after arriving. Regrettably, there is significant room for improvement both in the food and the overall dining experience.

Friendly staff, good food, good price and a place for the kids to play and keep an eye on them. It was very quiet on the day we were there but looked like it would have a good atmosphere if busy. Went for lunch after swimming and the burger was clearly freshly cooked and fries were excellent! We will be back.

Fab food, large portions, lovely attentive staff. Would recommend.

Great service with welcoming professionnals, always keen to help. Superb breakfast buffet and really tasty food at the restaurant. The hotel is clean and the bedrooms are cozy and well decorated. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great chicken burger with super delicious fries.

We were in the ghlas bar and it was very hard to get served even though the pub was empty drinks overpriced and the service from the bar girl was very poor it was like we were a nuisance we won't be back

Went here last night thought by looking at it looked closed. Had to go into bar and ask if they were doing food. As the restarant was all in darkness. They doing food in bar. That was fine. No prob in ordering food was hot. Love. Theplace but they need to brighten up the corner of restarant so. Its eye catching and notice to say food served in bar not in restarant. DIDNT BOTHER US EATING IN. Done it last time we went for a pizza not a problem

Empty cold restaurant. Food took ages to arrive... Food wasn't bad but the cold restaurant, lack of atmosphere and the sheer time to get food not a good experience... Won't be back unfortunately
