I went out for the first time since the corona lockdown with my friends and I must say I was impressed by how quickly this restaurant was up and running. They had everything we ordered for and food was supern and the lifeband with a sax man and drummer was beautiful. we ended up staying all night....

This restaurant should come with a red warning! Don't even know where to start from. To start with, the place seemed dead. Like the previous reviewer, we had to announce our arrival. This was where the alarm bells started ringing. Let me quickly cut to the food, it was the most expensive Nigerian restaurant I've ever eaten at and easily the worst. The staff were clueless, at £18 for grilled fish, i thought you'd at the very least offer plantain AND yam. It was plantain OR yam. I had to tell them tht their portions had better be generous, portion was meagre, the plantain was overripe. The suya had bones. Who serves suya with bones? it was obviously asun meat passed off as suya with a DUSTING of suya spice. At £12 a plate, i felt like weeping. Asked for fried tilapia with fried yam, they brought tilapia drenched in stew with rice. The food was so bad i asked to speak with the chef. they kept saying the chef would come out but never did till we left. i probably wouldnt mind if it was pricey but was value for money. Only positive element was the fresh croaker fish. it did taste fresh. next time someone recommends a restaurant, i'd rather go somewhere i've tried and tested. never again

I just had a meal at this restaurant and I am compelled to write a review. Arguably the worst dining experience of my adult life. The food was a poor representation of Nigerian food. My efo riro was bland, had an overwhelming stale tomato taste and definitely not fresh! The pepper soup was at least fresh but not tasty at all .The hygiene level is below par, it took a whole for them to clean off the mess at the table near us. Un used furniture also hanging in view. The customer service was poor, we had to announce our presence and asked if the place was 'open' . I'm never quick to give a business a poor review but i cant help myself in this case. What a waste of my £62 . (2 adults)

Normally go to 805 on Old Kent Road which is really great food, good service and reasonable value. We were close to 805 Hyde Park so dropped in. The service was very good with a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately only maybe a quarter of the food menu was available. Customers actually walked in, were told various dishes weren’t available so the customers walked out. We ordered Beef Suya, Jollof Rice with chicken, Egusi with fried fish, 2 cokes and a Gulder beer and it came to £116.44. The food was very nice but over priced compared to the same food at Old Kent Road. Egusi with Fried Fish £30, Old Kent Road £22. Beef Suya £24, OKR £17. Jollof Rice with Chicken £27, OKR £18. Gulder beer £11.50, OKR £6.50 Coke £5.50, OKR So the cost of a meal with a limited choice is not really worth it even though the restaurant is in a central location. I’ll be heading back to Old Kent Road for my Nigerian food fix in future.

Such a great food! I’ve never tried African food before and Kenyan food is definitely so delicious! Everything was prepared very freshly and they have the best chapati ever! Would definitely recommend and will come again.
