Maharaja’s Indian Takeaway in North Lanarkshire

Just got the set meal for one Absolutely fantastic! It’s by far the best curry house I’ve been to In Cumbernauld If you haven’t tried this place before you won’t be disappointed can’t fault any of the meal it was delicious thank you very much See you again.

Worst place on earth will never buy from again ordered donner meat pakora what i got was pakora what no donner meat have video to prove called them no answer went to web left msg no reply posted on facebook with pics and video still no reply disgusting food beware you have been warned

One of the best take aways about the area. Foods good and made to order so there may be a wait. But worth it

Place is a small shed. When I arrived the wifi was down and they didn’t communicate the issues with taking payment. Were not helpful

Ordered a spicy mixed king naan with no lettuce and large onion bhaji, got served a red donner kebab with lettuce and an undercooked bhaji. How can an Indian takeaway not cook a bhaji if I could take a picture it would show that my chilly Buffalo wings were the best on the dish. 3.8 stars is too much for this take away

Disgusting service. I have never written a bad review previously but feel so disgusted that I had to do this today. I placed an order at 7.03pm, called at 8.03pm and was told 10 minutes called back at 8.24pm and was told on its way and she would call driver. Called again at 8.35 and when I stated she said 10 minutes earlier she didn't say that she said the driver would be back and out with deliver in 10 minutes, I stated that had meant that the food had been in a car for 30 minutes (not to mention how long it had been sitting waiting to go out with the driver) and the fact that she hadn't once even apologised for the length of time she got very rude and said how would you like me to apologise and made more excuses. I asked her to call driver and tell him we didn't want the food. The driver then chapped the door at 8.48pm nearly 2 hours after order had been placed. Poor guy looked mortified and felt so sorry for him. Had she been nicer on the phone and at least said sorry once I would not have left this review. Will definitely never order food from here again.

Decent food, but delivery IS ALWAYS LATE,

A basic donner kebab, and it could not have tasted any better, from the correct level of spice in the sauce, the crunchy fresh cabbage and vegetables, not to mention how well toasted the pitta was which housed the tasty meat. Fantastic staff and very friendly.

It's close by ( to me)if your looking for a munch late on... but there is better out there

Food was amazing. Chicken Donner Wrap, Chips n' cheese and the chicken spring rolls were all cooked to perfection. Only downside was the salad in the spring rolls made on soggy at the bottom. I highly recommend giving this place a try, if you enjoy it half as much as I did then your going to love it!

I mainly use this place for delivery. It can be a mixed bag. Tonight was ok although a little disappointed with the chips. Not to worry. Not bad enough to put me off using it

This was for takeaway only, not sure about the atmosphere so didn't rate that. Delivery driver was polite, food was very warm, and pizzas were huge. Got moneys worth. Lasted us two days. We also ordered a curry on a different date and that was very nice. I'll order from here again when I cant be bothered cooking.

Ordered food last night, 2x normal kebab and probably the most disgusting thing i've been delivered. The first box was full of store chicken, bits of what looked like liver and godknows what else. Looked like the scrap from meals you'd bin, NO KEBAB in first box. Second box opened it was kebab, ate 2 strips of long kebab and boom, there was the same underneath. VERY DISAPPOINTED and i'm a massive foodie that does meal reviews. To top it off, came with the wrong sauce. Binned the lot, ate the soggy chips dry.. Won't be ordering from here again unfortunately.

A good all round takeaway. Nothing to write home about. The parking situation is a bit lacklustre at the moment, but I’m sure this will ease as the houses near completion

Great takeaway during the week....on a weekend avoid over 2hrs waiting on delivery shouldn't be taking orders if can't keep up with demand 😕

Friendly staff, good food, efficient delivery

Ordered many times from Maharaja's but today was the last time. I placed an order through their website where there was an information saying that you'll get free 2 poppadoms and spiced onions for orders over £15. My order was for £16.50 plus delivery and bags, was £20 in total. Received my order without promised poppadoms and spiced onions. Called them to ask about it and was told that the website needs to be updated because now you need to spend £20 to get free items. I'm sorry but it's not my fault that there is wrong information on your website. Total joke!

Good chicken boons mushroom rice will buy from them again

My kebab was on time but cold - I needed to reheat. Only a little bit of sauce. Meet sliced very thick. This kebab was disgusting. Not recommended. I will never order any food there again.

Received food well over hour later than the time quoted. Called the shop to be told the food already left and should be here any minute, and still don't receive it for over half an hour later. Woken up at 12:20am by the driver delivery freezing cold food, and no word of reply from the shop. Awful service, avoid.

Everything on the menu is amazing. Never had a bad meal from there, always incredible.

Stunning. We hadn’t tried this place before but wow we were impressed. Food was hot and so tasty. Definitely will be back.

I love this place - the poori’s and chicken donner kebab are amazing! Only thing that is disappointing id their desserts. Their gulab juman is tasty but you get two tiny nuggets and it’s pretty much drowned in ice cream. It’s only £3.50 but I wouldn’t say it was value for money sadly.

Food was ok, I was expecting a better Kebab but it was not to be. But was ok though.

Food was an hour late than the scheduled time, was marked as delivered at time shown. Food was freezing and my pizza had a baking paper stuck and moulded into it and a receipt stuck in the bottom of it also

Very surprised - best takeaway we have had in a long time when we first ordered months ago. Now it's our favourite because its STAYED amazing!! The donner pizza and the cheeseburgers are so good - consistently hot on arrival too

Ordered from just eat, had a lovely meal. Ordered from Cumbernauld not realising this restaurant is in Croy... the staff have went above and beyond delivering without a complaint :) although it was a bit late understandably I can't complain 5 star.

I ordered a king mix kebab and all I got in it was donner and chicken donner that's it! Where is the chicken tikka the lamb the koft that ye get in every other king mixed for the same price anywhere else!

Waited almost 5 hours for the food to arrive even though it was ordered at 19:15. When the food arrived it was freezing cold and the majority of the order was wrong! I would strongly suggest never ordering from hear if you like your order right or your food warm!!

Called at 5.30pm for a delivery and i was told it would be around an hour to an hour and 20minutes. And now writing this at 20.10 and no answer from the shop. GREAT JOB. JOKE

Quite possibly the worst takeaway experience I’ve had. Ordered from their website to have the wrong thing delivered, I then spent time arguing with the receptionist who quite frankly should be no where near a phone with her attitude. To speaking with the manager. The manager confirmed they don’t know what size you’ve ordered via their website, why is it live then? To more time arguing with them that the size was wrong. They sent the order again and part of it was....you’ve guessed it...wrong All in all, a complete shambles of a place.

So orderder a large chciken donner kebab... came in a reg size tub.. unspiced Ordered large chips n korma sauce.. they put cheese on it??? Ordered chicken tikka wrap woth mayo.. no mayo and korma sauce on the wrap Waited 50mins for everything to be wrong.. £17 and an hour of my life i wont get back Never again 👀👀👀👀
