Exemplary experience in this whimsical establishment. Their fine ales were sparkling and bright. Quiet and peaceful pub at my time of visit with a few friendly locals discussing the merits of well brewed ale. Three pints in and I was finding it hard not to order another one. The black country is amazing

Called in yesterday to have a look at the fantastic bar, which makes this an important heritage pub. The atmosphere is excellent and if we had more time would have stopped for food as the smells were making our mouths water. Staff friendly and helpful, and help make this a proper pub!

I love Pardoes. Treat it as my local even though it's a 10 minute drive from home. Food is exceptional, home brewed pints are fantastic and the bar staff are a great bunch. However... I can't give it a full 5 stars because ordering food is so frustrating. Bizarrely, despite clear demand, they stop serving food for 3 hours in the middle of the day (12:30-2:30) and they don't serve food AT ALL on Sundays?! For a pub that serves such exceptional traditional British food, it blows my mind how you can't get atleast a roast dinner on a Sunday? Also, depending on who's cooking on the day, it's near impossible to make changes to a set meal. I once asked for 'no chips' with nothing in their place and the kitchen refused?! It feels like there's someone in the kitchen dictating all these ridiculous rules but that's just my speculation. I understand staff need breaks and that you can't run a kitchen 24/7. But surely there's a better way of doing it than closing on one of the service industries busiest days and then closing for 3 hours in the middle of service? Again, love the place, but I'd love to walk in here one day without having missed the 'food window'.

A real pub, run by real people, brewing real beer on the premises. The beer is lovely. I had Bumblehole IPA. It was smooth and light , but well flavoured. The ploughman's was very tasty and the bread was a real hunk, light and soft, with a nice crust.

A Great atmosphere, you expect a Peaky Blinder to pop in for a pint of bitter. A no nonsense Blackcounty pub with fresh food cooked to match. We had a Cod with homemade chips, and a tasty burger. Our host Liz gave us a tour and some information about the pubs history, which was interesting. They do pre- booked cream teas too with homemade cakes and quiches, only on Saturday's though, definitely going to book one soon. A Rare unspoiled Gem of Place

One of the best coffee and breakfast places I have visited. It was a busy place, always an indication of quality food, service and atmosphere...it was a pleasant surprise for me. There are a couple of vegetarian/vegan options available for breakfast..I as a vegetarian would have loved more options but nevertheless I don't shy away from giving the best rating for this coffee place. The french press was great as was the coconut milk hot chocolate....as it's on the main road parking is a challenge. A must visit place for coffee and English breakfast lovers..

Visited during my wife’s birthday. There was only one area we could sit. Good staff and pub sadly ruined when three locals started talking openly setting alsatians on our rescue dogs when they barked, continuing to openly complain about the dogs for half an hour. As we left, we explained they were rehomed only to get further abuse including insinuations about drowning them. This is supposed to be a dog friendly pub. Horrible atmosphere, left without finishing our pints.. To be fair the landlord, a dog owner himself, did offer us alternative seats, however, at this point the damage had been done after half an hour of listening to these deliberately offensive comments.
