Nice food and coffee in a convenient location right by the bus stop. Indoor and outdoor seating

Had a full English breakfast was very tasty, crispy hash browns, beans, mushrooms, tomato, bacon 2 slices, sausage and toast. The bacon and sausage were also tasty. Then there's the cakes, awesome cakes. Dog friendly as well.

Staff are lovely, polite and friendly. Coffees and teas are hit and taste great. The cream tea, The scone was nice the clotted cream was good, But what is it with the awful jam? This is the third cream tea in Devon and again cheap tasteless mass produced sugary substance being passed off as Jam, what a shame. The local shops sell amazing jams, please use them and offer a choice of flavours, let’s not let Cornwall walk all over the Devon cream tea!

Service without a smile! Breakfast order was wrong and full english with only 1 shrivelled sausage?? Coffee was weak like dishwater. Won't be coming again.

Very much a locals place. Food was okay but it could have been much nicer. Tasted very oily! Perhaps I should have complained, but I preferred to eat, we are on holiday by the way. Would have been nice if they looked up and said thank you for your custom, rather than their head sunk down making you feel undervalued as you leave, there you go! Quite surprised to see all of the cleaning products and chemicals out showing the loos, COSHH and trip hazards! The table was very sticky, but in fairness we did see they wiped this, might be something else.

Excellent tea room in the corner of the car park. Service is friendly and very good. Happy to recommend.

Stopped for lunch not too busy nice sandwiches and coffee

We arrived at watersmeet early morning after driving down from Hampshire, We did the river walk into lyndale & had breakfast in the cafe, We were shown to a table & after looking through a nice extensive menu, our order was soon taken, I had a breakfast bab & my partner had a breakfast sandwich, This was extremely welcoming after the long drive down & then the walk, There is a beautiful selection of homemade cakes, & scones, We will return again next time we visit.

Afraid I can't comment on the food as I didn't stay long enough to try some. Walked into the cafe dressed in my cycling gear keen to have a cheese toasties and a cup of tea. On walking in I was ignored by the lady who was clearing a table. I though give her a moment and she will speak to me. However when she finished she continued to ignore me and decided to speak to another customer who was already seated. Again I thought, OK he was here first. Whe she finished she then went and spoke to another customer who had come to the desk to order. I though, that's it, perhaps she has something against cyclists. It seemed clear she didn't want to serve me having made attempt to even say something like, "take a seat I will be with you in a minute" I certainly won't bother with this cafe again, there is plenty of other choice in Lynmouth. As a member of a canoe club that paddles the Lyn regularly I have told them about my experience and they have also stated they will avoid in future. Cycled to the top of Countisbury hill after this and went to the Ramblers Rest. Total contrast. Great food and very welcoming.

Nice café that always seems to be open. Conveniently located on the edge of the large car park so access it is very easy. Small outdoor area in nice weather.

The best breakfast on a rainy Sunday in August - fantastic hot chocolate with marshmallows, full English breakfast and a bacon bap and latte to finish. The staff were so friendly and helpful, doggie was welcome and the atmosphere was of being in a friendly, local cafe where locals came and chatted as well as those of us tourists who needed a super brekkie!

Otherwise nice cafe but coffee was rather disappointing - no milk foam in flat white, just a big jug of coffee with milk.

When you're in Devon, having at least one "Cream Tea" is a must (even though I had coffee)

Lovely cafe, great home made cakes, friendly staff - the place is spotless. Everything on the menu is freshly prepared.

This is a hard review for me as I like the venue and always had very good service. My problem is that most of the options on the menu for vegetarians is actually cooked with meat or fish. The cross contamination makes the food not suitable for vegetarians. I realise that this is likely to be a common issue in small kitchens as in this instance, or simply due to ignorance of what it means to many to follow a vegetarian diet. The problem is that its not acceptable and I urge all vegetarians to ask the question before ordering at any food provider. I would also ask providers unable to offer uncontaminated food products to stop labelling them as suitable for a vegetarian diet please.

Stopped for a quick coffee and cake just before closing. The homemade dairy free biscoff and banana loaf was beautiful! Choice of multiple types of non-dairy milks. Owner friendly and chatty.

Breakfast was very poor, bacon 🥓 under cooked Swimming in oil, would not recommend to bikers.

We stopped off here for a teacake and a cuppa after our walk down from Lynton with our dog. We were given a warm welcome in this cosy little cafe and would highly recommend it.

Lovely welcome, larger than average portions all freshly cooked very inexpensive. The cafe didn't look open from outside so some more lighting,fairy lights or similar might bring in more custom 😀

Worth walking away from the tourist traps to this little place between the rivers and where all buses stop. Great service. Excellent coffee (flat whites as they should be). Reasonably prices wholesome food of high quality. Made a point of going back there each day for breakfast. Well done

Not the nicest of locations. You are basically in a car park. Had a cream tea and was disappointed, scone clearly not homemade, jam was from Essex. There's much nicer cafes in the area.

Wonderful pasties & tbh the best we had in our weeks stay in Somerset / Devon. Cheesy chips were good enough for the children to demand we go back for a second visit from our base in Dulverton.Good value and the place to eat locally.

After reading the reviews for the Lyndale Tea Rooms we decided that this was the place to stop for breakfast. We was certainly not disappointed. A superb cooked breakfast served by courteous staff. Lovely coffee and doggy friendly. Highly recommend.

After a hike we stopped by for scones. The lady who served us was so friendly and happy which is always nice when you're on holiday. Quick service and scones were delish 👌 despite apprehension using my Polaroid she took a great photo of us for the memory stash! Would definitely go again 🙂

Wonderful cafe and staff. Rustled up the most delicious victoria sponge on request which we used as a birthday cake whilst on holiday ( birthday happy candles all ours 😆 ) Thanks so much, really appreciated it xx
