Lung Fung Chinese Takeaway in East Riding of Yorkshire

Not sure whats happened here, used to be decent now can only describe as very poor. Undercooked chicken, weak and watery sauce, no egg in the fried rice. Awful I am afraid, shame.

Always eat from here when I come back to Brid, never had anything but great food, the fu yung is amazing. Its hot, tasty and a great service

As always I wait until the next day to review - just in case... Anyway all good with the food from this takeaway. Lots of meat and veges with my Singapore Noodles for £7.50. Nice taste and I would definitely go there again.

Salt and Chilli Chicken Wings, Chicken Chowmein and Char Siu Noodles. All nicely flavoured and decent sized portions. Chicken wings in particula had a lovely kick.

Had an order for delivery at Thornwick Bay Caravan Park, arrived when stated, portion size excellent, food quality excellent, good value

Had the meal deal for two, was spot on, delicious and was piping hot, would definitely have it again

Just got home with a chow mein to find it had been packed in an unsealed chips container so the bag was swimming in sauce not a great start

Spent the weekend at North Bay Caravan Park, the family 4 adults 2 children had a Chinese takeaway. Great food & service we collected in person and plan to visit again in the next couple of weeks. Thanks again to staff and chef at Lung Fung

We have been coming here for years but the past few times have been awful. Ordered a takeaway for the family. Food was undercooked. Very dissatisfied. and won't be using this place again.

Food uncooked and cold avoid avoid avoid! Staff unhelpful and rude . Delivery driver and his rude assistant need to go on a customer service course . No covid regulations being followed .Council have been informed . Save your money and go somewhere else .

Ordered myself and my daughter a set meal to share. The food came really quick and was freezing cold in places. Rang to ask them to refund it and get them to take it back. Was told we couldn't have a refund as we'd ate half. (We had a chicken ball and half and one triangle of prawn toast )The female delivery driver that sat in the car was very rude complaining to the other delivery man that she bets we just want our money back. No love I just didn't want my daughter eating your uncooked food!

We order from Lung Fung regularly, the food is delicious and the service is five star, definitely our favourite takeaway ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Despite mixed reviews decided to try it as the menu and place looked good. Very happy we did, welcoming staff, clean, competitively priced and excellent food. Will definitely use again.

Dreadful. Not edible. Ordered 4 meals. Far too salty. And Small portions . Noodles were a clump of stuck together dried noodles. Salt n pepper chicken was disgusting. Salt n pepper chips dripping in grease All the other dishes were ruined because of the amount of salt . Spent £30 and threw it all in the bin No one could eat it

Shocking customer service. Had a takeout at a friends house, When our order arrived it was all wrong. The owner was rude and has no customer service skills. Food was cold!

Had set for one meal delivered. Pork balls overcooked and rock hard. Food went in the bin. £10 wasted. No point complaining. Suddenly English not good when you tell them something negative.

We were staying the weekend at Sewerby and on our last night we decided to have a takeaway. Lung Fung was the nearest.. I went online to check the reviews... not good!! But I like to make my own mind up. Excellent food, hearty portions in fact too much... the chicken and beef were succulent. Food was very hot when we got it home. Good value for money. Would highly recommend.

Lovely good food beautifully cooked and tasted amazing. Local to us which is great. Home delivery offered as well

Had Various dishes, Rice, Noodles, etc, all of them were dry, tasteless, claggy the sauces were ,well not nice..& the mushrooms in gravy ,yuk, solid congealed Gravy!! dont know what it was..Will not be recommending or visiting again.

We haven’t been here for a good few years. We used to use them every week and food was usually ok but this time it was awful. Salt &pepper king prawns and Salt & pepper squid were both over cooked to the point of being inedible. Obviously when you’ve driven to pick up and got them home you don’t really want to go back out again so these went in the bin.We won’t be using Lung Fung again.

Lovely Chinese takeaway with plenty of choice and delicious food. The duck pancakes are especially nice. The prices are slightly expensive and we probably ordered too much. The service was good though we did try to order by telephone but the phone service didn't work.Disappointing to see bad reviews for this place. Visited few times in the past and never had a bad takeaway from here. Recommended.

Large pancake Rolls were awful, full of watery Cabbage. I thought I had found somewhere at last that did the proper large Pancake rolls full of Beansprouts meat and Veg, what a let down. We binned them. The fried Rice was tasteless and Curry thick like a Jelly substance. Il stick with China City and Mings in future, I only wish they served large Pancake rolls!

We were on holiday and was searching for a Chinese takeaway nearby, this happened to be the nearest non tourist looking one,Staff not very friendly food took forever to be cooked and was tasteless and even the chips had no flavour and were over cooked, now it’s not hard to cook tasty chips but this takeaway failed, we left most of it on the plates and felt that we had wasted our money.Also we ordered chicken soup which had the consistency of blamange

Absolutely the worst Chinese on earth really. Ordered our food and when we opened the containers we were greeted with brown solid sludge. Our order was also wrong as well so we called up and were told that they couldn’t deliver so we would have to go and pick up what they forgot. We ended up just throwing the food out because it was so awful! Do not go here!

I ordered the chicken curry, as a fan of Chinese i was extremely excited to tuck in. As i turned over the container to pour it in to my plate, the curry plopped out as a solid gelatin like blob. I can honestly say this was they worst Chinese takeaway experience of my life. The wife was equally displeased with her black bean vegetable dish with looked like stock with some soggy vegetables in it. We complained and were told if we would like a new dish we would have to come and collect it, even though we ordered delivery the first time by an incredibly rude woman. I will never eat from this establishment again.

We ordered a chinese take away for delivery. The food was so bad we had to throw quite a lot of it uneaten in the bin. The chicken satay skewers were so spicy that my mouth was literally on fire - I like spicy food. My son's chicken cantonese was in the worse sauce either of us have ever eaten and the rice was really dry. The only saving grace was my foo yung and chips. Never again Lung fung sorry

I am a big fan of this takeaway joint. It doesnt look much from outside but i have always been pleased with the food. I use it everytime i visit my folks in Bridlington.

Used 3 times and really inconsistent with the standards. Last take away was cold and you could tell the meat was poor quality, rice hard and the sauce like it had been reheated and burnt.

Had a few takeaways from here during a family holiday to Bridlington staying in a B n B up the road. Service was good and food prepared quickly. Food was tasty and piping hot and reasonably priced.

Ordered at 7:30pm and the lady on the end of the phone said 45 mins - I thought that’s not bad for a Friday night. An hour passes so I call again and ask where the food is, to then be told the driver had only just set off, 15 mins later than the delivery time. The drive to our house is less 5 minutes, keep in mind - but another half an hour passes and still nothing, so I ring again and get a little bit wound up by the vagueness of the lady on the end of the phone. So eventually I get a call from the delivery driver saying he is outside a house 3 doors down, even though he was given our address twice and our house is clearly marked. So I’m quite blunt because at this point it has been two hours since I ordered, we got half of the things we ordered but we give it a chance. All food was cold all sauces have a skin on the top and it all had a chemically taste. An absolute awful experience and the whole order was overpriced for the amount and quality that we received.

Ordered for the last night of our summer holiday in flamborough. Always a gamble when it's not your local however we were not disappointed. Delicious! All fresh and full of flavour. Generous portion sizes too. Good value for money. Will definitely be ordering again when we visit.

Called due to my usual Chinese take away being close. Totally disgusting 🤢 the only thing in the spring rolls was cabbage the main meals was crap rang up to complain and surprise surprise 😲 nobody could understand won't ever be using it again

Stayed in Bridlington for a week and used the Lung Fung twice ! Quick service and very reasonably priced. The meal for two is great value

We ordered Chicken Satay on sticks and Singapore Vegetable Noodles. Both were bad. The chicken was so tough we all left it. The noodles had no curry flavour which defeats the object of being "Singapore". To make matters worse, they gave us three portions not the two we ordered. We didn't realise this until we unpacked them but they charged for them anyway. Sad to say, this was the worst Chinese Takeaway we have ever had.

Ha pasado por años y nunca me llamaron, pero en esta reciente visita a Flamborough decidí llamar y probar un arroz frito especial para llevar a la furgoneta. . (Me encanta la saciedad mi señora) ;-)

Tuvimos una comida para llevar en la última noche y Dios mío fue absolutamente fantástico, teníamos un montón de pato crujientes (Pato), Langostinos en una salsa de jengibre y cebolla, carne en salsa de ostras y arroz. Era tan encantador y delicioso. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar, lástima que sólo para llevar.

Hemos estado conduciendo pasado este lugar durante años, y sé que es estúpido pero el nombre sonaba un poco extraño y nos animaba.

Así que, después de ordenar de la vida paraíso durante 15 años llamé a ellos esta noche (viernes 31 street) y luego decidió que no quería entregar a flambrorough ya y que estaban muy ocupados. . . Así. Elegir pulmonar. Nos alegramos y fung estoy que hecho este cambio! ! ! ! Incluso si no era de elección. Definitivamente hemos sido convertidos. La comida increíble, más barato, el personal encantador! Estaremos pidiendo de nuevo! !

Haven't been to this take out for years (food used to be heavily peppered) clearly in the intervening years it has acquired new owners and I have to say is much improved. Reasonably prices, quick service and generally palatable food. Would call again.

I love this chinese take away the food is amazing very helpful chinese lady who asked me what I wanted I said something tasty and spicy I had chow me in special it was so good hot spicy and a big box full beef chicken king prawns and lots more carnt wait to go again it was excellent it is now the best chinese takeaway in bridlington these people have had this business just over a year good luck to them they deserve it they are trying so hard to please and it's so very clean well done

Bought a few meals from here whilst staying at a guest house just up the road. The quantity of the meal was fine, plenty to fill you up, my only criticism is that the sauce that the meals were in was watery everytime whereas its usually of a thicker consistency when Ive eaten it elsewhere. That spoiled my meal as it made the food taste bland, I hoped that this had happened the first time as a one off but got the same on a second visit as well. The service and time taken to prepare the meals was good, such a shame that the issue with the watery sauce spoiled it

A good standard Chinese take away, delivered fairly promptly (30 mins or so) by a friendly driver. Would use again.

Absolutely baffled how this company stays afloat if this is how they operate. We ordered a takeaway for delivery, it was late but this wasn't a problem as I know takeaways can get busy. When the delivery arrived I gave the driver £10 tip as he looked stressed. When we opened our food it was completely wrong. I called to explain and was hung up on twice by a lady who had no clue what I was trying to tell her. She literally just couldn't be bothered with the conversation so just hung up. We eventually spoke to another chap who explained to us that the chef had cooked 'too much' so had given it to us. But they had charged us!! We had ordered £24 worth of food and been charged £39. Then when the delivery driver came back he had been told to give us £5. It's not the money it's the principle obviously. This was the third issue tonight apparently. Absolutely appalling and the poor driver tried to give us his tip back to sort it out, we refused. To top it off the food was disgusting. The only time I will have anything to do with the takeaway again is when I go for my refund tomorrow

Ordered Beef Chop Suey from here at just after 8pm - it arrived nearly 2 hours later (no apology from the delivery person), it was clap cold and the Beef Chop Suey was just a tastless mess.First and last time I order from here. Gave Chop Suey to the Dog.

Visited this restaurant for a second time as we had enjoyed our first visit so much.The staff/owners are really nice, polite and friendly. Thy are attentive and check your food is okay at regular intervals and they keep on top of your drink orders.The place was quiet but it is January, however the takeway side was doing a roaring trade.We didn't think the food was as good as our first visit, this could be because we had high expectations from our first visit but the food was still good.The staff wished us happy new year as we left and gave us a small gift-nice touch.

We tried Lung Fung after a bad experience with our usual chinese takeaway and we havent looked back since. Great quality food and always red hot and fresh! Delivery always very quick!

I love this take away it is family run very clean fast service even when ordered to be delivered and the food is exelent and sometimes you can see the family sat down eating in the kitchen.i treat my self at least once a week

My husband and I hadn't had a takeaway for quite a while so as a treat we decided on the Lung Fung takeaway. How we wished we had stayed away! I opted for the simplest of meals, chicken curry and chips. The "chicken" was in mysterious cube shapes and had a rubbery consistency. The curry sauce was DEFINATELY made from powder and within minutes of being on my plate started to congeal. My husband had prawn balls, noodles and garlic mushrooms. The prawn balls looked very big but had a tiny prawn in each of them. All in all they were mostly batter. Forget the noodles. The garlic mushrooms were in a brown liquid and it was like liquid garlic, so strong not appetising at all. We were both hungry but the only thing to benefit from these meals was our ever hungry dustbin. Avoid.

All of the food tasted the same. BBQ spare ribs didn't have any flavour. Main courses were bland and salty. Positives - special fried rice was nice, and the service was quick! Wouldn't go again I'm afraid...

Very quick take away with good quality chinese food. We had the special curry with rice and a chicken chow mien all very tasty and we will try again when we return to Bridlington

We stumbled on this after leaving a concert and realising we were hungry. We were seated quickly, even though other people had obviously had the same idea. The person serving was excellent - very professional and friendly. Good was lovely. Can't fault

I agree with another review that the flavour of the curry sauce is very nice; unfortunately that is about it! I ordered a beef curry and I have never had such tough beef. My husband's dish was watery and had no flavour to speak of. We thought things could only get better so between the three of us; tried the BBQ spare ribs; again really tough and fatty. Daughter's chow mein was ok, but only just. Usually, when we get take out; we tend to go back to any leftovers later in the evening. To be honest; there was nothing that any of us wanted to go back to; so put at least half of the meal in the bin.

As the title of my review suggests, the food here is variable, some of it was absolutely fantastic but some of it was really awful. We first called late on a Saturday evening after a night at the cinema, and whilst it was about half an hour before the place closed they still made a fantastic beef chow mein and chicken fried rice but the beef curry and friend rice was inedible. Putting this down to the late hour was had another takeway later in the week, which was again a mixed bag. Some of it nice and some not so. The place clean, the staff reasonably polite but not exactly friendly. Not sure if we would visit again.

Everything came as ordered; I was told about 30 minutes for delivery but arrived in about half that time. Food was good and there was plenty of it.

I will start with a positive... The delivery man was nice! Food ok but when does lemon chicken come with pineapple? Isn't prawn toast suposed to have prawn in there somewhere?? And what is special about special chow mein if its just beef?! I was told by the guy taking my order I could have free prawn crackers as the order was huge (over £65). When these did not arrive and as other parts were missing I rang and spoke to the unhelpful guy who was nothing but rude!
