Gotta say the best chippy in greenock found it after a rainy day proper chippy chips decent size and prices no mushy peas but this is Scotland so its not a norm but very nice no large cheese and chips option either not sue about the bad reviews as always been okay my end 1.5 delivery time is a tad long tho only down point tbh but always s arrive hot so thats a plus just have to be patient as they are independent compared to say just eat etc so they use thete own guys for delivery defo the best in greenock tho

Is good prices at lunch time for kids it's only £1.20 for 2 pizza slices or 2 pizza crunch slices and £2.40 for sausage supper

Called for a home delivery at 6.35pm tonight. Just getting food now 8.40pm..Disappeared

Have used this place for years and twice in last few weeks not good enough got 2 chicken both as dry as the Sahara desert and now got chips grave chips bolognaise. Gravy and bolognaiover bag. With half a portion of chips and skimping bolognaise. Done here. Never again

Popped in for quick bite to eat my man had chicken curry and chips . Inedible went straight in bin . Some chicken was pink. Not good . And tasteless . Used to be one the best in town but in my opinion it's boggin . I had chips and they were greasy . Ate a couple which kept coming back . Sorry guys ur all amazing but unfortunately the oil ur using isn't nice and left film in my mouth . Waste of time and money ... So won't be back and defo won't be recommending place . 😞🤢🤮

Luigi's is a great chippie if you are not looking to get chips. The long wait is not worth it. They deal with phone in orders before walk-in customers, so you just have to wait easily 30mins while 6 staff members busily hustle orders for pick-up. I don't think the chips were really worth the wait and money. I just won't go back.

Had from here friday night. But my sister says it depends who's frying to see if its good or not

Have given this place the benefit of the doubt for a while now but looks like this is the normal low standard. Disappointing as this used to be one of the best.

I previously posted a very positive review. However,having ordered supper again from Luigi’s, this time the chips were very disappointing. They seem to have been made up entirely with the ends of the potatoes. We used to praise the quality of the chips but lately this has not been the case. If they do not wish to lose their good name in the area they need to increase their quality checks.

Best chippy I've tried in the area. I was told to drive to this chippy which is in Greenock instead of a nearer one in Port Glasgow by my in-laws as it's supposedly the best one. They were right.

No idea why this place is highly rated. Food was really greasy and small portions. Wouldn't go back.

Bit of a rough area but cannot fault the food or the service.

Nowhere near as good as it used to be. Food is too greasy or batter is burnt, really overpriced and a lot of chips are undercooked. Once the best in town now substandard. Young staff are overworked as its always busy but they still remain friendly and helpful.

So very disappointed, went approx 1.30, got 2 sausage suppers and gravy in a pot ,1 burgar, was a treat for my grandkids they were so excited , chips and especially battered burgar was left overs and brick hard onlhnthing that was fresh it seemed was gravy . Most went in bin . Had been a customer for years, These ladies must know theg are selling unedible food.same on thd owners. Kids holiday

I don't normally write about a chip shop but this really was amazing. The fish was really fresh, both the scampi and the fish. The chips were perfectly cooked and at the back, there was a man really scrubbing the floor, makes you trust a place that works so hard to keep serving good fresh clean food. Very impressed

If you're looking for fish and chips, you've come to the right place. Appropriately oiled, crispy coating, soft fries, all that was missing was wrapping in newspaper. Devoured with pleasure. Locally, there is great interest and always queues. Nice girls smelling of deep frying and a serious owner who looks after the assortment. Will I come back? Of course, if he lowers his cholesterol level after the last visit ;)

Best place for chips,pizza,lasagne, fish everything, you may have to wait sometimes but it's worth it

Fish dry and overcooked, maybe two or three chips and the rest just small scraps. Poor and wont be back

Fantastic fish and chips. The fish looks and tastes like a New Zealand cooked fish from an NZ fish and chips shop. Well and thoroughly cooked, not too greasy and of course very tasty. Will always get from this chippa, give'em a try.

Fantastic fish and chip shop, never disappoints, I've had a few suppers out of this chippe and everything has been perfict, as del boy would say, it's just a pity it wasn't based in the port. 😊👍🤭

Food overcooked burnt usually gets binned chips ok the rest depends on staff that's on that night this happens on a weekly basis would not recommend

Fish was way overcooked and very dry there was not a lot of fish it was very thin nothing to it i could not even eat it i put in bin this is the first time i bought here and it will be my last i can honestly say this is the worst fish i ever had in my life and im nearly 60

The Mrs loves the mac n cheese, I love the lasagna, amazing portions too, usually get about half of that with most others for same price (sorry about the dark photo) and yes it doesn't look like a lasagna.. But it's pasta, lasagna sauce and cheesesauce... Its amazing

Luigis is slipping, worse than orangefield now.. Seems like a new cook and everything was over cooked, rotal waste of 30 quid. Definitely my last time had its last chance. 🤮✌🏻

It’s been around for most of my lifetime and I’ve always loved the pizzas from it. Went last week and it was decent, although the crusts are so thin and crunchy that they fly everywhere. However, good amount of toppings and such a good price (about £5 each). Decent service and not long to wait. Can’t complain!

Luigi's has long been my all time favourite chip shop. Their pizza is unique and I love it - I have tried pizzas from myriad chippies on both sides of the country and Luigi's pizza is the best (for me) hands down. It is nicely slim so doesn't have an overpowering amount of tomato sauce on it and for me that is perfect. Luigi's also do my favourite fish - the batter is always crispy which is obviously preferable to soggy batter. Their chicken nuggets are also brilliant and I haven't found similar ones to those anywhere either. The only thing to keep in mind if you are ordering in-shop is that it is very small and often busy due to its popularity. That doesn't cause problems beyond possibly having to wait outside though. Other than the specific food I have mentioned from my usual order, they have the usual variety you'd expect from a Scottish chippy. I know this seems over the top, but I do honestly feel this positively about Luigi's. When I am in Greenock, my partner and I order it in every Friday night and everything arrives in good time and is hot.

Love Luigi's. Only been a few times but I love the chips. I say I'm not hungry and then end up eating my husbands chips haha. Tasty! It can get quite busy though where you wait in line for a bit but ultimately it's worth it.

I hate fish. I can't eat stuff cooked with and flavoured with fish. If u like fish, and foods flavoured with fish then u might have a better experience. Sorry.

Extremely dissapointed usually food is excellent just had the smallest chicken ever £4 was also overdone.

The service provided is second to none, the food is brilliant with Luigi's offering a good selection of battered food. additionally they have certain deals throughout the day (check in to the shop for details). overall I would highly recommend this take away for great food and a fantastic service!
