Visited this cafe with my friend for brunch and what a lovely little find! Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming. Beautifully decorated and the food was delicious! The huge omelette and crusty bread was amazing! We will definitely return!

Simply lovely, tasty food and warm welcome. From the moment you walk in there is a welcome. The food is like the food you would find in a country cafe with home made soups, sandwiches and soups and it's in the centre of Liverpool !

What a cracker cafe. Friendly,safe and clean. And the home baked sponge cake is fantastic. A must for a bite to eat. And the kids will love the over the top unicorn offetings

This cafe has beautiful decor, a nice range of food and cute touch on the milkshakes. I have never met nicer staff, they were extremely friendly and went the extra mile for my 21st. Came upon this place yesterday morning and stayed for breakfast before going to Crosby . Felt so welcome in there and enjoyed our avocado/poached eggs or omelette . A surprise visit to the bathroom is something you must do . We did come back this morning at 9.15 unfortunately you weren't open . Will 100% be back . Thank you

Let me start by saying the owner and her mother are very friendly. The food was delicious and fresh. The seating is limited so you might have to be patient with that . The decor is so cute

We arrived for lunch and were warmly welcomed by Lucy. On the menu was “Ma’s scouse” which I had to try. My word it was good to the extent we asked if we could take “Ma” back to Barcelona! Unfortunately Lucy said no!! A wonderful atmosphere and I’ll return the next time in Liverpool! I

We called in here for a light lunch and there was a great vibe to the place. My wife chose the soup which she thoroughly enjoyed and I chose a cheese and onion toastie which came with salad and coleslaw and was very tasty. There was excellent coffee on tap but the best part was the charming lady with, I suspect, an endless supply of anecdotes and a lifetime of tales to recall. Wonderful.

Lucy in the Sky is a fantastic cafe within Liverpool City Centre. The service from Lucy, her mum and their team is fantastic! They have looked after me most lunch times whilst I work within the City Centre. Thank you for looking after me

Great for a pit stop on your shopping trip. We visit often when in the city centre and always enjoy our brews and buttys.

We were in Liverpool last July but only for a day, and tried to lunch here, but because of travel delays arrived after closure. It is very close to our hotel and therefore it was good to be able breakfast here today. It was well worth the wait, excellent menu choices in welcoming surroundings with efficient staff and fair prices. We will be in the City again and will return to the same hotel so we are looking to sample the lunch menu on our next visit.

Amazing visit to a fabulous little coffee shop! I recently visited with my boyfriend, while staying in Liverpool for a couple of days. We were highly recommended to visit by friends and we were not disappointed! Warm and welcoming feeling when first arriving as we were greeted by the lovely Lucy who brought us extra menus and listed the specials to us. My boyfriend ordered Lucy’s ‘mums scouse’ which was absolutely gorgeous and included in the price comes with crusty bread and butter and a choice of pickled cabbage or beetroot, I ordered an omelette with ‘everything’, which is all of the added extras possible and it was delicious, along with 2 coffees obviously! Fabulous experience with lovely staff.

Visited this cafe on the weekend, i couldn't he more happier with the service off the lovely friendly staff they could not do enough for me and my family. Thankyou very much to them.

We were looking forward to eating in this restaurant which rated highly on Trip Advisor. We ordered two omelettes plus sausages with a tea & a coffee. It’s not a big place but had plenty of staff on.

I wanted a tasty breakfast with a nice cup of tea in a pleasant place, and that's exactly what I got.

Ordered the scouse like mum makes, with the pickled beetroot. Received a full dish, piping hot, chock full of meat, carrots, potatoes. Added bonus was that they even had gluten-free bread for me. Service is excellent; staff extremely friendly and kind. Definitely will return!!

Was greeted by very friendly staff, they were really helpful and polite. I felt they really made an effort with everyone. I ordered scrambled eggs and toast with a latte and it was truly excellent, really tasty! My only slight negative would be to say the tables are a bit squashed in. So if anyone needed to get through past where I was sat you had to really squeeze in. I would definitely go back here, lovely independent business.

Myself and my boyfriend came for breakfast whilst we were staying in Liverpool, the service we received here was out of this world! Every member of staff asked how we were and made us feel very comfortable. The food was also amazing and very filling. Overall, very impressed.

In Liverpool on Business and this place was recommend by multiple locals. The inside is beautifully decorated, staff are so friendly and the food is out of this world! I had a mozzarella and ham toastie and my colleague had a tuna and cheese baked potato and everything was so yummy. We also had to try the unicorn hot chocolate which was insaneeee! overall highly recommend!!

Staying at the nearby Travellodge and went here for breakfast, what a find, excellent food and very friendly staff. The music was amazing, I walked in aged 77 and walked out feeling 17. Everyone should take their old Nannas here for a treat, they'll love it. Well done girls.

Lunch with a colleague - friendly welcome and service. Got the last seats in the house. Food took a little while but was great. Colleague went for scrambled egg. I had the scouse which was great. Bootiful beetroot alongside. What's not to like ? Originally we thought cake was an option but we were too full ! Really enjoyed it.

Lovely, friendly staff. Can’t fault the staff or surroundings. I had an omelette with thick slices of toast and butter. Very enjoyable. My husband had poached eggs which he enjoyed but slightly disappointed they were not runny. All eaten up no problem though. Not worth losing a star over. Nice place with nice service

Really nice little cafe, family run and I mean the people working there are all family. Simple menu but well done with warmth and what we might call "Liverpool charm" and I mean down to earth, friendly and relaxed. Easy to become a regular here :-)

Popped in for coffee and ended up having breakfast. Small, welcoming cafe, pristinely clean with a short, simple menu centred around eggs all ways, toasties, jackets, sandwiches and omelettes. We had a ham toastie, sausage barm (a portion was two barms), cheese and onion omelette - which was served with two slices of thick buttered toast and a scrambled egg and toast - all generous portions, piping hot. Usual selection of coffees, soft drinks and tea. Staff were friendly, Beatles music, great little find

Had been meaning to try here for ages as I walk past the place almost every day. Finally nipped in on my lunch hour today and was not disappointed! Gorgeous decor, lovely staff and tasty homemade food - the menu is simple, but its so well done and everything tasted fresh. The owner & her mum are a great little duo - dead friendly and welcoming to customers.

Our daughter took us to this little cafe, as it’s very near where she works. It’s really lovely, and the staff are amazing. It’s a little treasure and we go each time we visit. I always have a toasted tea cake and hot chocolate, it’s really gorgeous. Prices are very reasonable too.

Called in for a soup at lunch time, was charged £5.50 for basically half of tin of Heinz tomato soup and a roll, overpriced to say the least think I will stick with the others nearby for half the price.

I've just had a short break in Liverpool and found this little gem of a cafe just round the corner from my hotel. My friends and I had breakfast there twice.

This is a lovely little cafe on a side street. Well worth finding. The presentation (& the generous size) of our breakfasts were great. Great value too. I’d highly recommend & will definitely return.

Nice little place, the coffee is good. The breakfast menu is tiny with egg on toast the main dish. I enjoyed the special avocado smash with poached eggs and opted to add sausage in the absence of bacon or smoked salmon. Could easily enhance the menu to make quite a difference.

It's very rare to be able to give a business 5* for every aspect offered but that's exactly what you get from Lucy in the Sky cafe! The welcome was warm and friendly, the service, quality and value of the food excellent and the cleanliness was very good too.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered tea and I had a good coffee served with a glass of water (rarely happens)

Unless you have an hour to wait just for coffee and rude service. Don't bother. We came in ordered coffee. Hot chocolate and toast. The place wasn't full. 4 staff on. Only 2 tables ahead of us, 20 minutes later they hadn't even made the coffee or anything else. So we walked out.

Found Lucy in the Sky on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. Friendly staff and lovely decor. Tap water available to help yourself garnished with lemons. I had an omelette with all the trimmings with two slices of chunky bread toasted, went to go back for breakfast again on Sunday morning but it doesn’t open.

Just had another superb experience in Lucy in the Sky. Delicious breakfast (some of the best scrambled eggs I've had), brilliant service & atmosphere and cracking playlist in the background too! Whenever we have a few days in Liverpool it's our go to place for a delicious coffee and breakfast, we would thoroughly recommend this friendly, quality coffee shop - they were great with our puppy too (who can also heartily recommend the scrambled eggs)!

One morning last week I was in the lift at work and someone got on with a most delicious smelling breakfast, I had to ask where it was from, 'Lucy in the Sky' and it's just round the corner from our building! So I dropped in today for a take-away lunch and it exceeded my expectations, absolutely delicious scrambled eggs with cheese on thick buttery toast. Oh my! I barely managed to escape with my willpower intact when I saw the cake selection. Drop in, give them a go. I totes recommend.

If your name is Lucy and you happen to own a cafe in a Liverpool, of course you end up with this name. The service is excellent, the owner (Lucy) is a lovely lady. The baked potato is amazing and teacake is very good.

This is a really nice cafe that does a lovely coffee. The food menu is quite limited so be prepared for breakfast/brunch food. I personally really enjoyed the food and felt it was good value for money.

Visited this cafe on the strength of the tripadvisor recommendation for breakfast and was glad that I did. Fantastic scrambled egg with ham & cheese served by very friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and will come again when next in the city.

When I read all the great reviews I thought wow I cant not visit. For the price I expected more then 2 sausage 2 eggs with toast . Sausages arrived late. Girls were very nice about it. Just was a little disappointed after reading the reviews how good it was. For the price and the great reviews. A little extra work is required in my opinion

Sorry went in for quick snack chicken baguette served with side salad very little chicken with small amount of lettuce tomato and cucumber. The side salad consisted of same three items with no dressing very disappointing at the price. Saving grace was my partners coffee and walnut cake which she said was a treat or the rating would’ve been much lower. I don’t think I’ll be flying back too soon

I'm a little late leaving this review as it was months ago that I visited. I ended up visiting 3 times in 3 days for breakfast whilst I was in the city as their eggs on toast are SO good, it was the nicest toast I've ever had! Not only that but the staff are all really really lovely and the decor is beautiful too! I will be back next time Im in Liverpool

What I first noticed was the beautiful surroundings. Next was the smile from the lady at the counter, who was helpful, patient and unflustered which immediately helped us relax into enjoying the full experience of brunch.

This lovey family run cafe is situated just out of sight tucked away but clearly not out of mind as this popular cafe is never empty. We popped by for a spot of brunch and we weren’t disappointed, we both had a sausage and chicken baguette with a pot of tea and a latte.
