Luciano's in East Riding of Yorkshire

We visited for the first time this evening and it was a lovely experience. We had giant prawns 🍤 as a starter and shared the halibut as our main meal, finished off with some lovely lemon and raspberry sorbet. This is a truly authentic, family run Italian restaurant, with a great chef and lovely, friendly staff. You must give it a try, you won’t regret it!

This is one of our favourite restaurants, I am new to reviews but I read them myself so though I should start having an input. We regularly visit here as a couple and with friends, the service is always friendly and most if the time quick. We have a selection if the menu each time and is always good. We will come back and will definitely recommend, the owner is fantastic and always puts their customers first.

This little gem has been here years and unfortunately we’ve never been before, but we will definitely come again, the owner and staff are brilliant, it’s home from home. Substantial portions and fantastic tastes, everything was delicious. A must to visit.

This is a place you visit once and want to return to all the time! The most amazing food, service and atmosphere. Truly the best steak I have ever tasted!

Had a beautiful meal here with a group of friends last night. Ettore was hilarious and made us all feel incredibly welcome, almost like we were on holiday! The food was beautiful and can't find any faults at all. Would highly recommend and we'll definitely return to try more dishes!

The food, the ambience is incredible. the host Ettore is phenomenal he makes you laugh on a sad day I enjoy every minute I spend here and he does a great private party! Thanks ettore I will forever be a fan love Lydia x

Popped in for a coffee today and forgot my wallet - still got my coffee and was told ‘ no problem’ pay next time. Fab cup of coffee too- nice place with a very quirky authentic Italian feel.

Having had lots of great xperience at lucianos on the weir, I thought this was going to be the same. Please note you cannot cook, serve and chat without compromising service. The food was just ok but not fab- as it used to be- good luck with the new venue- maybe we came on an off night

Went today 7 adults and 3 little ones.. the food was amazing fresh and tasty.. we felt so welcomed and they couldn't do enough for us.. we'll definitely be back it was so relaxing.. calamari..lobster ravioli..ciabatta.. and more it was all beautiful Thank you

I remember eating in Lucianos years ago when it was on the Weir and decided to try it out again in its new location. Owner is very friendly and accommodating and his friend who was helping him out was lovely but there just seemed no rush with the owner so was waiting quite a while to order & to get the bill. I think if he employed a waiter then this would rectify the matter as owner was also cooking, serving, chatting with customers. I saw the menu before we went and it is quite small, I think a bigger menu would be good, more pasta dishes and maybe some pizza ones as there was no pizza on the menu. I had the Mussels (which is a starter) as a main along with chips & Garlic Bread to share. The Mussels were lovely and the Garlic Bread very tasty however one of them was quite burnt so should have being cooked again. A few had lasagne and said it was quite dry and lacking in the cheese sauce which was a shame. Portions were huge which was a bonus. There is no drinks menu as only recently got an alcohol licence, which is quite off-putting as I like to peruse the menu myself. So all in all a mixed bag, get a bigger menu, a drinks menu & more efficient service and I would defo go back.

Absolutely delicious food in a laid back and relaxing atmosphere. What an experience! We will definitely be back.

After a recomendation went not quite knowing what to expect but have to say best meal and value for money for a long time, all fresh products and cooked to order, have been a few times now had various fish dishes prawns and last time a steak,couldn’t fault anything,added bonus of taking own wine so win win! Give this place a try for even a coffee and desert and support such a lovely little atmospheric place.

Excellent restaurant, special attention, pleasant atmosphere to spend special moments with friends and family and swallow the best of Italian cuisine !! I recommend

We’ve visited Lucianos several times now & we’ve never been disappointed!! Great food & great atmosphere at great prices!! The starter platters were out of this world!!

Popped into Luciano’s at short notice, got served immediately. Had the grilled fish it was exceptional.The service was very friendly which added to the relaxed atmosphere. The owner couldn’t do enough for us which made it a very pleasant evening. Remember to bring your own alcohol.

Had to wait an hour for my food...when it came it was overcooked and cold...i didnt enjoy it....no drinks licence ....understaffed and annoying owner...much beter places to eat in hessle

Well for coffee lovers double espresso with a bit of milk! But almond biscuit OMG ! It’s the best slice of heaven!!!!

It is a surprise to find such a gem of a restaurant here. The food is cooked to order by the Italian owner who has a passion for delivering good authentic Italian cuisine. I love eating here when visiting Hessle.... and you can be sure of good food whenever you do. Even the panini are thoughtfully prepared with tasty ingredients and flair as enjoyed for a recent brunch. My favourite dishes so far are the fish soup (divine!), lasagne and insalate caprese. There’s no alcohol to buy but it’s ok to bring your own. And if you have room for desert they look wonderful.. I had to come just for coffee & tiramisu to make sure I could try it... wonderful!

Pleasant atmosphere, staff attentive, food very tasty, steak tender and all well presented. Can definately recommend.

Excellent Italian restaurant with first class presentation the food is awesome and the desserts are a work of art it has a lovely romantic setting. They don’t sell alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own and the owner is happy to keep it chilled and serve it when required which leads me to respond to the obviously fake review from hotelspy49 who loses any credibility after the opening line how can you complain about the beer and wine as you must have brought it yourself

Recently tried here for the first time a couple of months ago & couldn’t wait to go back to sample the evening menu & boy we was not disappointed!! We went for a family birthday,was 8 of us & it was just wow!! The food is seriously one of the best Italians I’ve ever had! I don’t know if it was the owner/waiter but he was so clued up on where every ingredient used came from!! It was fresh,authentic & absolutely delicious!! Even my 14 year old niece who can be a fussy eater,when a VERY large bowl of pasta was put down in front her,everyone had same reaction-she ate every single bit on that plate!! We started with bowls of fresh olives which were lovely! The portions of the main course were pretty big but nobody left anything! One of the best things(for us!!) is the fact this restaurant doesn’t serve alcohol so for a small corkage charge,you can take your own alcohol which is great!! For dessert there was freshly made Italian cakes,cream cakes,etc which was amazing,plus the best Italian ice cream(recommend the wild cherry,delicious!!). Then we finished with coffee which again was Italian,a very large cappuccino was only £2.50 & was delicious!

Visited Lucianos for lunch with my mum & sister. Ordered a panini & cappuccino each-wow!! It was absolutely beautiful!! Never tasted a panini like it,it definitely wasn’t your ordinary “cafe” food!! REALLY recommend the homemade Italian desserts if you’ve got room & the hot chocolate is sensational!! Nothing is too much & if there’s something you want that’s not on the menu,he will happily rustle it up for you!

Very friendly and food was amazing - it’s all prepared fresh to order. It’s Not at all expensive for the quality your getting. The hot chocolate is a must it’s absolutely divine.
