A regular stop whenever we’re in Conwy, had their breakfast special yesterday, granola, yogurt, berries and homemade compote with an almond croissant!!! So gorgeous that I keep thinking of it😋😁

We were exploring around Conwy Castle when we stumbled upon the cutest little spot—L’s Coffee and Bookshop—and we’re so glad we did! Nestled just off the street, the cozy, welcoming vibe pulled us in right away. Think warm wood, comfy corners, and the smell of fresh coffee and books—basically, heaven. But what made it even better? They serve matcha tea! I’d been craving it since I landed in Wales, and after five days of searching, L’s came to the rescue. We were lucky to grab a window seat, perfect for people-watching as we sipped and munched. I had the Bacon, Halloumi & Sweet Chili Bagel (a combo I didn’t know I needed!) with my long-awaited matcha. My partner went all in with a juicy burger, plus L’s Granola and Yoghurt Bowl topped with mixed berries, paired with coffee. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just what we needed after a morning of sightseeing. The staff were lovely and made us feel right at home, and the location couldn’t be more perfect—just a short stroll from the castle. If you’re in Conwy and looking for a charming cafe with great food, friendly vibes, and yes, matcha—this is the place!

What a beautiful dog friendly cafe. On arrival we were seated. We looked at the menu and decided to have vanilla late and breakfast. Excellent coffee and the breakfast was delicious. It was beautifully cooked. They used local produce too 👌 The staff were attentive and polite. We would definitely recommend.

Sausage barm was generous with 3 sausages. Disappointing they don’t do scrambled eggs but not the end of the world. Bacon, halloumi and sweet chilli barm was delightful. Crispy bacon, melt in the mouth halloumi and a surprise hash brown. Flat white was perfect temp, far too many places make it too hot. Staff where very attentive, plates where collected the second we had finished eating. Only downside was no salt and pepper on the table

Spent Sunday lunch here, was busy but greeted by helpful and friendly staff. Service very prompt. Small menu but all 4 of us could find something to select on the menu, including a 13 year old girl and 15 year old boy. Food was served quickly and generous portions. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food. Also picked up a dog snack. Well priced for the quality of the food- we'd certainly return whenever in conwy again- thank you.

Visited today and have to say the worst breakfast we have had in Wales/ probably my worst ever. Bacon could chip your teeth, sausages cold, thought it was an ice lolly and no warm welcome. The overall service and food was a -1 out of 10

Having left a cafe up the road due to poor service, myself and my mum went into this place. We had just planned to have a drink but seeing the menu, we decided to have the food. It was all great, service was prompt, food choices were wide and tasted good. The food came out promptly. Great atmosphere. Seemed busy which was a good sign of a successful cafe. Would definitely return. Toilets are in the nearby Castle Hotel.

Wanted to try this place for a while but the couple of times I went it was full which is always a good sign. Went today with my daughter and had a fantastic Brie & chutney salad, wasn’t your normal boring salad was super tasty and presented great. Friendly staff who explained their daily specials. Also great Chai latte. Looking forward to trying more from the menu.

this place is an absolute gem. the staff are brilliant, and even though the shop was really busy, they are always there to give you a hand and make sure you're looked after! had a salmon and cream cheese bagel that was absolutely amazing, and their chai latte was one of the best I've had. thank you so much guys, was fantastic.

Only had drinks. Latte is one of the best that I have ever had. Lovely atmosphere. Just be aware that they haven't any toilet but they give you a ticket to use the loos at the pub 2 doors down. Would definitely recommend

What an absolute gem of a place. Visiting Conwy for the afternoon, we were recommended L’s by a local charity shop and it did not disappoint. Cosy, super friendly, incredible service and a real atmosphere that people knew each other. The Festive wrap was completely delish and the hot rhubarb drink was awesome! The cherry on top was being able to donate to their festive hampers for the local food bank. Dog friendly (regular doggy visitors get a biscuit!). If we lived in Conwy, we’d be daily customers!

Best cafe in Conwy. Wonderful staff and heavenly food. Today had homemade soup with a turkey, stuffing and cranberry wrap - best food I've had for a long time. Excellent value too.

Went in looked lovely staff were nice. Looked at menu to find the majority price wise was just over a tenner staff told us their was a special on... soup and toasty so me and my husband decided to try that with a cappuccino and a tea thought it would be appropriate as we both just wanted a snack. We I got to the till and they charged me £33. 00 I nearly fainted 😅 I ve been to a lot of places and these pricings seem to have massive margins the food was nice Don t get me wrong but I won t be going bk their pricing list is pretty non existent and not clear now I know why.

I had the coconut milk hot chocolate and a slice of GF walnut cake. Very pleased to be able to choose some alternative options due to my food sensitivity. The atmosphere was great too: very friendly staff playing some Dolly Parton songs - can’t ask for a better combo😀

A lovely little place for a quick bite. Really pleased to find somewhere dog friendly and with vegan options. Friendly, attentive staff. Only slight drawback is the "bookshop" aspect as difficult to browse books (and not a massive amount of books) when the place is so busy, but otherwise very pleased to have found this place. Would definitely come again when in town.

Very pleasantly surprised, we stumbled across this cafe and the food was amazing and also the rhubarb and ginger drink is delicious, we’d recommend. Great service and good prices

L's Coffee and Bookshop in Conwy is a lovely place that combines a café with a bookstore. When you walk in, you can smell fresh coffee and see lots of books on the shelves. They have a great selection of coffee, including rich espressos and creamy lattes, made by friendly baristas who can help you choose. You can also enjoy tasty pastries that are freshly baked. What makes L's special is its wide variety of books, from new bestsellers to old favorites. The staff really loves books and is happy to help you find something you'll enjoy. Overall, it's a wonderful place to visit.

Lovely people and nice enough coffee- oat latte sadly went quite flat as a take out, but I’m guessing would have been nice if I sat in or maybe got with normal milk.

Were there for breakfast. The veggi menu was presented as a burger. Unfortunately it was a bit boring and dry in taste.

This little place is obviously very popular, as soon as one table was cleared someone else came in and took it. It is not surprising as we were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. We stopped by for breakfast with 2 very wet and cold dogs. As soon as we sat down our dogs were given treats. The breakfasts were amazing and kept us going all day without any need for lunch. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Conwy, that’s if you are lucky enough to get a table

Well I've rated you at the top for my chai latta!! I've tryed a few since our stay in Anglessy but you come tops. And a bonus that you were dog friendly!! And I know our pug got some attention. Staff friendly. Nice little cafe!!

Great place for a nice cup of coffee or tea.

I was disappointed because, contrary to the name, this is not a bookshop, and the coffee I ordered was almost aggressively bland. With that said, the atmosphere was warm & cozy, and my partner said the bottled juice he had was good.

Excellent, the best breakfast I have had ever. Atmosphere fabulous, the young staff working were really attentive and polite, cannot speak highly enough would recommend 👌

We walked in on a hot day with our two 'hangry' kids! Instead of feeling awkward, we were made to feel very welcome. First by a young lad who talked us through food options and secondly by a lady (we presume the owner) who reached for a colouring book and pens. We sat down and enjoyed some very nice food, and the kids did, too, with the snack boxes we ordered. The atmosphere was great, and because of the way the staff supported us from the beginning so did the other diners. Entertained, the kids settled down and enjoyed their food. Being dairy-free, it was great to see oat milk on the menu. The oat cappuccino was great, made with good-quality coffee. The food was very nice too. If we had more time, I'd have loved to try other options from the menu. All in all, a great all-round experience made even better by the exceptional staff. Thank you!

Went on a short visit to Conwy with my grandmother and we were going to go for coffee somewhere in town, lovely little place. Got asked what drinks we wanted (they were only serving coffee and cake) before I even had the chance to sit down, latte and a cappuccino arrived in less than 2-3 mins, tasted great too, definitely would choose this cafe the next time i visit Conwy, lovely service and good coffee

Lovely little cafe serving Mexican influenced food. Lots of choice for vegetarians. Dog friendly too which was much appreciated. Will definitely be back.

We had another great food & service here, my favourite place to eat in Conwy. I had the Pea & Bacon soup and it was perfect, hghly recommend!

Absolutely brilliant, high quality bacon and flavours are delicious. 1st class staff , was busy so we had a takeaway but they even brought the food out to us.

The best place to stay for friendly staff, vegetarian food and amazing cake. The staff went above and beyond what I'd expexted of any cafe. They treated me like family and I'd definitely recommend them. What a wonderful team. I'm gluten free as a coeliac. They didn't have many options for me on the menu, but altered what they could offer to suit my needs. The very next day I popped in again, and they'd bought nicer gluten free bread to be able to offer. Such a lovely place.

Really lucky to find this place with a table just being cleared, everywhere was so busy. Excellent service from the off, really friendly staff, good banter, food was really good as were the milk shakes. Also great to see all tips that month were being donated to buy a defibrillator for the town. What a great idea. Happy to recommend and we'd definitely return if we're back in the area.

Absolutely 100% brilliant experience today. Couldn't go to bed without leaving a review. Came in late afternoon on a Sunday, family had eaten well from the bakery, but as a caeliac I was starving! Food had stopped serving but the owner said she'd make an exception-we had the most beautiful sweet chilli halloumi salad and my husband a katsu loaded fries. Gorgeous. Excellent service, waiter was so knowledgeable, so young but by god he knew his stuff. Every single trip to conwy, we get coffee/iced coffee, but wow, from now on, our food order is with L's. It was sensational. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUCH AMAZING gluten free beautiful food. You literally made our mum and dad's (with the kids) hungover day out ❤️ We will be back! Highly recommended 👌

Really lovely and sweet cafe loved the decor. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and were very welcoming. I had a latte and Monty bap both were superb - also pet friendly so my little dog was happy laying under the table quietly. Thank you, I saw other dog owners in the area looking for pet friendly places to get food and coffee so I recommended you after visiting! 5 stars 🌟

What a lovely little cafe this is! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and were very welcoming and attentive. More importantly though, we had the "L's Big Boy" and I can honestly say it is the best full English breakfast I've ever had! Cooked to perfection and the produce was some of the best I've ever tasted. If you want a big breakfast with all the works then I would highly recommend!

Quite a nice cafe, just a bit touristy. Quite busy so i think they seem to be able to put quite basic food out at not basic prices. Dog friendly though and quite cosy.

The team here obviously pride themselves on their food and their service and it shows! Absolute gem of a place. Went with my mom and 2kids. We were greeted straight away and told the specials. The service here was top notch. Every staff member was friendly and there was plenty of them so service was quick. The Coffee was smooth and velvety, perfect IMO. I had a special, leek and potato soup with a hummus, falafel and halloumi open sandwich. Everything on the plate was delicious. My mom had a salmon bap, the quality was great and the portion was very generous! They had good options for the kids too. Definitely worth a visit or ten!

Breakfast BAP was excellent. Sausage was prepared perfectly. Bacon was so addictive. Sunny egg with watery egg yoke so seductive. 5 stars Cappuccino was just mediocre. Nothing special. We arrived about 10am. No queue time. Serving within 5 minutes upon ordering. This is a dog friendly cafe

Popped in for lunch today - great Wraps, good coffee. It’s always busy there so you may have to wait for a table at busy times but the Owner is very good at freeing up a table as soon as he can. Service is fast and efficient. Recommended!

Great little place dog friendly

Simply superb. So much more than a coffee (and book) shop. Great food, lots of GF, vegetarian and vegan options. Baps, bagels, wraps, soup and a halloumi and felafel salad that literally stopped all conversation when it came out. We will be back soon. Oh, beware the halloumi fries with mint and chilli dip. It is a meal in itself. The good news is it comes in a cardboard box so you can take it home 😁
