Loved the breakfast with pancakes I had

I came to brunch with my girls and everything was amazing!! The food, drinks, atmosphere and service the interior is absolutely beautiful! We can’t wait to come again.

Delicious full english breakfasts, they also offer halal options. fancy mocktails and coffees & we absolutely loved their pancake tacos & french toast. Nice cost atmosphere & excellent service from Rosie. We will definitely be back again!

Saw this place as a recommendation but it’s not organised at all, spent waiting for the order for 45 mins for them to say our till wasn’t working but got other people food who came later? don’t recommend this place.

I found hair in my food which looked like facial hair YUCK!!!The manager did nothing about this situation.if i could give this place 0 stars i would. DONT WASTE UR MONEY HERE. This cafe also SUPPORTS GENOCIDE going on!!!Please go ahead and investigate all you want. When i was talking about the on going genocide one of your staff turnt around and said stop talking about this we don’t care!!?!!!?I came with a couple friends and obviously the reservation was under a different name. I turned up to Lovage on the 28th and it was closed, even though that I reserved ahead of time. No mention of closure on their Instagram either…

Called them two times during the week the day before and the day of they stated that they were open on the day however after making a one and A half hour journey they were closed. Tried to call them no answer terrible customer service.

Hands down the best brunch I’ve had in a looong long time. The food is amazing. Service so friendly and quick!! We came here really randomly on a bank holiday and got a table straightaway too! So happy ! Thanks :)

Amazing food at Lovage. Very presentable and delicious too. I had the French toast brunch and my partner had The Posh One. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal - top 5 brunch place in our opinion. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. My partner is autistic and they turned down the music, dimmed the flickering lights and made it a pleasant experience for us. Would definitely come back 🥰🥰

The food was very below standard. *Edited* From Lovage response you can see they’re a business which lacks accountability. The food in the picture is clearly from here and I can upload my receipt if required. I was here 27/01/2024 booking was 14:30. I will ensure that Google keeps my review up. As you can see in the picture, I got the french toast brunch and it was not nice. Too much biscotti which was on the egg and meat leaving no place to put my beans. I can see they’ve now updated to menu to add biscotti as an extra, when I went, it came with biscotti and was too sickly. Ideally sweet should be served on another plate. The service was not the best slow and not friendly. I’d say the ruby hot chocolate was the best I’ve had it was lovely but they forgot the marshmallows… When mentioned, the man had a bit of a negative approach. Definitely not the best brunch and will not go back. Overhyped.

It’s a cute little cafe, with a beautiful aesthetic. The interior is definitely instagram worthy! They were very attentive and efficient with taking orders and making sure we were alright while waiting. I ordered the French toast breakfast 😍 it was amazing! Everything tasted so fresh and delicious! I will definitely be going back & telling all my friends. ❤️

Lovage in crouch end is one of the best bistro cafes i’ve seen in london yet till this day, the scenery, the atmosphere, the dedication that’s been put into the design, where we get to sit down and eat the food, it’s truly something out of this world. Don’t get me started on the service, it’s as if the day is dedicated towards you, i’ve never seen workers this happy and excited to do their job and communicate with you. Me and my wife decided to have dinner here and we both ordered the classic burger which came with fries on the side, the looks are amazing, looked as if i was looking at the food from an advert. What surprised me was that the taste came out even better then the looks of the food, the juiciness, the crunch was just perfect and the bread was soft and melted in my mouth. Overall, this is the one of the best places i’ve been to in london and definitely gonna make it a regular place i will visit👍🏼 Thank you very much.

We came here for brunch recently with the family. The food was really good and everyone was very pleased with their meals, the decor is very chic and modern, prices too are very reasonable. Unfortunately, this place loses a few marks for their customer service on this occasion. We were sat down promptly but had to wait 15 minutes for our order to be taken with the staff making no real urgency to approach us. Only half of our drinks were served initially and we had to ask twice after the food had come out for the other drinks. Polite enough staff but inattentive and I hope that if I visit again I'll be able to update my score.

Food nice and worthy, if expensive but this is Crouch End. Good choice of ambient music, but undecided about service as there doesn't seem to be enough room for them and us and a kid in a pram that screams (the pram that is, not kid this is Crouch End remember). I had smashed avocado on toast for the "posh breakfast". Are 'friends' electric?

Firstly the service was excellent. My husband and I stumbled across Lovage and are so glad we did! On a busy weekend we were seated quickly. All the staff were very friendly, professional and kind despite it being busy. We had the Lovage breakfast and everything was yummy and cooked to perfection! Brilliant to have the sweet& savory option together! The menu selection is really good! We will definitely be back! X

I ordered an Eggs Royale. Firstly the portion size is TINY. daylight robbery in my opinion. I understand cost of living is going up but this is ridiculous. One tiny slice of bread. The american pancakes were decent. The French Toast my friends had was amazing although we had to ask three times to get TAP WATER. We thought they went to the well to grab the water.

Honestly this is not one of the best but the best place I have ever been to for dining, from the atmosphere to the actual food staff and the skilled chef everything is just amazing such a warm place with their different ranges of cuisine dishes. Honestly I go there all the time and everything their new dish seems to amaze me. Even their coffee is different they really know how to make it just right. Thank you Lovage team for your amazing hospitality and service🧡🙏🏻

Been to Lovage many times. It’s my favourite go to for brunch. The veg breakfast, followed by pancakes and biscoff shake are to die for!! Place is very clean, service is friendly and the chef comes out from time to time to say hello to everyone! You have to support family owned businesses like this that go the extra mile for their customer!

Food was yummy and cooked to perfection, food to bread ratio wasn’t the best but I ordered more and received them for free which was great. My food came in 8-10 minutes which is fast and servers were so nice and polite. Definitely check it out if your craving brunch. I got the Mediterranean breakfast and it was filling and costed £13.50 Update* went again and I’m still SO please with the service and they had great offers too! Got the brunch items today and it was great. It will always fill you and satisfy you regardless of what you get! Definitely my new fave spot😋🍽️

Came here for my birthday, was the most lovely and amazing experience ever; they brought out a cake and sang happy birthday and gave us 3 free cakes! Food was so so delicious and so cheap for the quality it was. Will defo be coming back 100% recommend!!!

Have been here a few times now for lunch and breakfast. The service is excellent - attentive but not too invasive and the food cost, quality and taste are all to a high standard. In particular the hamburger was delicious!! Portion sizes are just right. People seem to love the hot chocolate but I always forget to try and get the excellent coffee. Overall it is highly recommended.

Lovely breakfasts at Lovage. We had the Traditional English and veggie equivalent Life on the Veg. Firstly the portions are pretty massive - definitely was struggling by the end of it! The traditional came with smoked bacon and a Cumberland sausage whereas the veggie came with halloumi and a rather unique and great veggie sausage! Both came with a lovely fresh salad, sourdough toast, mushrooms and beans! Slight note, the veggie breakfast didn’t come with portabello mushrooms with I had to add extra. We also tried the French Kiss sweet breakfast which was extremely rich with lots of biscoff spread and maple syrup and fresh fruit! Not a sweet tooth but was very good!

Such a welcoming place! It is dog friendly which is perfect for us. The food was delicious and the portion sizes are very generous. The staff were very helpful and they loved our dog Milo. When we asked if it was possible to get some food for Milo the chef quickly arranged this and Milo had his own brunch too. Would highly recommend and will be coming back for sure. Milo also approves 😄

Another pretty cafe with not so great food. “Beautifully disappointing” looks great, food does not live up to expectations.Nothing taste fresh and seemed frozen. the fruit was soggy. Would not recommend, go beam a few doors down

This is definitely a fantastic spot to check out. The avocado and toast dish is absolutely delicious. The French toast is hands down one of the most delightful I have ever had - it's light, fluffy, and crispy all at once. And let's not forget about the amazing coffee, which is truly tasty. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning for another visit.

Nice trendy cafe. Reasonably priced compared to other cafes down that road. Service was great. Servers were quick and friendly. Portions were generous, but for me, I didn't like the salad in an English breakfast.

Lady serving in black and white top was arrogant and rude. Disgusting service from her, would not recommend, Over priced for what it actually is, Items were missing from the breakfast, no apologies even when my wife mentioned it the lady replied with a mumble, Pancakes were soggy in the middle, The lady serving had a issue with our seating the gentlemen had already allowed us to be seated in that spot, Every other customer were being spoken to in a friendly manner whilst we were ignored, I’m not sure if it’s because we were under dressed for a bistro cafe in north London, But as business owners from Muswell Hill we would never treat anyone this way especially people paying for our service in our business, I definitely wouldn’t have some one like that lady working in our business and representing us, absolutely disgusted and definitely won’t be returning on the experience made horrible by the young girls an attitude.

Points positifs : Restaurant accueillant et cocooning, produits frais et de qualité, serveuses à l’écoute et souriantes Points négatifs : Prix excessif, temps d’attente longs entre les plats, manque d’espace (on est collés les uns les autres parfois), certains plats sont vraiment peu ragoûtants comme l’hamburger au steak de boeuf qui fait vraiment industriel… le steak est tout gros et dur et le fromage n’est même pas fondu

Great food and the staff is amazing - they make you feel very welcome and the customer service is top notch. I live in Muswell Hill and I've already made a habit of coming to Crouch End at Lovage at least once or twice per week. Big recommend. :)

We had a special breakfast, one iced latte and one latte. Iced latte was satisfactory and i liked the breakfast, however, the price was more than expected (15-16 for breakfast) + additional 12% charge on top of that is i remember correctly

Amazing Customer service, intimate yet lovely experience. I booked at a table in the morning for an afternoon brunch myself and 2 others (b'day surprise!)The layout is chill with a modern touch. Whether you're there for breakfast, lite bites, brunch to late lunches, this place is the one. coffees or a cheeky virgin mimosa. This is a place I would return to. I went in on the American Breakfast and I had cocktails all the way! Compliments to the chef and the staff this place has presence. I would 100 percent recommend it.

In family and I absolutely love this place! I can’t recommend it enough! We are usually in there once or twice a week. (It’s to the point where the lovely staff already know our order) The food is delicious, nice variety for breakfast and lunch. There are also a few tables outside for great people watching. It’s also very kid friendly. The service is impeccable! The entire staff is just a pleasure to be around. They have little toys for kids and always make my son feel extra special. The prices are wonderful too! If you haven’t given this place a go, you should asap! It’ll be your next spot :)

Selbst 5 Sterne sind noch zu wenig! Wir kommen aus Deutschland und sind fast 2 Stunden von unserem Hotel zu diesem Bistro gefahren und es hat sich definitiv gelohnt. Der Service ist erstklassig, das Essen wird sehr anschaulich angerichtet und schmeckt sehr gut. Wir wurden zuvorkommend behandelt und als man hörte, dass wir extra hierher gefahren sind, gab es Donuts und ein Heißgetränk aufs Haus. Ein sehr gelungener Start in den Tag.

So glad we chose this place for brunch. Wide choice of options on the menu, all very tasty. Super friendly staff. We will absolutely be back.

Such a beautiful parisian / bohemian brunch spot for great food and great cocktails! Really fell in love with this place.

First time I had visited this cafe - very disappointed. I have been to the other cafes in the area and they definitely are way better beam my no1 go to and dobar also very amazing but thought I’d try somewhere new. They had triple fried the chips clearly not fresh/ new. They reheated left overs. Secondly the avocado itself had no flavour it was just smashed avocados no chilli flakes or lemon literally no effort put in whatsoever. Will definitely not be visiting again. Try to avoid if in the area as there’s better options/ cafes. I’m also not the one to write reviews but rlly disappointed for how much we paid.

Great all day breakfast in the center of crouch end. They were very accommodating of my 1 year old - cutting his toast into little strips and special cooking his eggs.

I came in on my lunch break with a colleague as we work local. It honesty took 30 minutes for our order to come. I ordered an egg royal and my friend ordered a omelette. I had asked for my egg royal to be on a bagel instead of sourdough bread. When the food arrived it was warm not hot. My bagel was literally so hard I couldn’t cut through it.( no exaggerating) I showed a member of staff and she replaced it with another bagel. Obviously you would think they would replace my whole meal as the bagel had smashed avocado on it which is difficult to take off and put on the new bagel. I ended up not eating my food. Additionally there was hardly any salmon on egg royal. My colleague’s omelette was on the burnt side and also didn’t enjoy her food or finish it. Overall poor experience and wouldn’t recommend. Before trying it out we were excited that a new place to eat had opened up as beam next door is always busy and Church End needs more places. However this will not be a place I will be recommending my colleagues or friends.

Don’t come here if you have a gluten allergy. The food was good and looked pretty but the staff weren’t very friendly. My friend asked for gluten free bread with her meal, citing that she had a gluten intolerance, which they said they could do initially. Then they came back and said they had no gluten free toast and she asked to sub them for sweet potato fries which they charged her extra for. Her meal then came with non gluten free toast and no sweet potato fries which was pretty concerning as she has a gluten intolerance. They then switched the meal which came with no bread and then brought out the fries. They also brought out the wrong meal for my partner, and when he asked them for the one he ordered they weren’t pleased. The staff weren’t very friendly the entire interaction and it just sort of dampened the whole experience. I paid £5 for halloumi fries and the portion was disappointing. On another note - the biscoff french toast was actually very good.

Went in here yesterday. Had a lovely breakfast (served all day) - just about the best I’ve had for quite some time. I chose The Posh One while my wife loved her’s which was the Lo’vage Pancake Breakfast. The shakes were excellent too. Really fresh and satisfying (Biscoff and Vanilla respectively). I think they close early but if you are in Crouchy during the day or early evening I can highly recommend giving them a try.

Was really excited to eat here however the service was absolutely shocking!! Waited 20mins for ice latte and water and then when it came for food waited well over half an hour which they concluded was because they “were busy” … I have been to much busier restaurants and have ordered and eaten in the time I have been sat here waiting - not impressed

Went here for brunch last Sunday it was amazing! Food cooked perfectly, service was very good! Very warm day but very cool inside. My breakfast was £9.80 - very good price and good quality food!

Went here with my family for brunch but took us over 5 minutes to be seen. We didn’t even get shown a table, we had to choose one ourselves. When we requested a table to sit on we were told ‘sorry it’s dirty’. Next time have the decency to clean the table for the customer and oblige with their request. Customer service is awful, will not be coming here again.

Best spot for a family brunch!!!🤍 Came down to Crouch End on a Sunday and found this cute cafe. Had an amazing deal for some cocktails and it was just spot on. The biscoff pancakes was my fav very tasty and filling. Even had a round of coffees from the house. Our waiter was very caring and amiable gave our dog some treats and water… Yess it’s also dog friendly! Will visit again just for the outstanding service and food☺️
