we visited this place friday 28/01/22 7.30pm, table for 4, one in a wheel chair, we was greeted by a "madam" in a wooly coat cardigan (all the rest of the staff was in company logo shirts), she was very abrupt, which set the night straight away. started moving chairs for the wheel chair in the middle of the cold room, Bob is caperble of sitting in a normal chair, and asked if we could sit somewhere else other than the middle of the room, the "madam" replied "where would you sit, we are fully booked" we pointed to the far empty booth so was seated there. 10/15 mins later was asked for our drinks order. 10/15 mins later again asked for food order, waited 15/20 mins for starters to arrive, was impressed, large portions, hot and tasty, waited another 20/25 minutes then mains arrived, something was wrong with all the meals, cold fries, overcooked meat, tasteless burger covered in a half block of cheese. masive rock hard tomatoes. pulled pork dry as hell. so we each left most of it, when asked if all was ok, we replied not really, then about 4 or 5 staff appeared listening to the issues,"madam" wasnt happy and repeated most things said to her in dismay, they did knock off a meal from the bill. we was thankfull for that but just wont go back again, we was sat under a heater/ air con unit that blew warm then cool air at us for the 2 hours that we was there so take your coat with you. also we was the last to leave and no one came in after us at 7.30pm so "madam" telling us, they was fully booked was BS really lol, it wasnt even a third full all night. so to sum up. long time waiting, main food well below par for the price, manager staff need retaining, but toilets where spot on clean and tidy but unisex.

We visited on a weekday evening and the place was fairly quiet. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, they took our order pretty quick, checked everything was ok and asked if we needed more drinks. The food was lovely, we had a starter each and the chilli nacho sharer which was massive. The children’s meal was pretty big too. All very tasty. The only niggle was that it was quite cool, I wouldn’t have wanted to not have had a jumper on, a few others kept coats on.

We booked a table at this restaurant for my partners birthday. We don’t have any good Mexican restaurants in the area so we’d travelled an hour to come here. On arrival we weren’t greeted with a hello or good evening but “there’s 45 minute wait on food.” I advised we had booked a table, they couldn’t find our booking and had to go to speak with the manager before seating us. After 20 minutes of watching plenty of staff walk past us without any acknowledgement we went to the bar to get our own drinks. A further half an hour went by and still no one had acknowledged the fact we were sat there, which, to say we were sandwiched between two walkways was quite impressive. During the 50 minutes we had been sat there, we’d seen at least two other tables come in, have drinks orders taken and food orders. Still no one had been to our table to take our order. We decided to leave, as we weren’t prepared to wait an hour to order then another 45 minutes for our food, so we went to the bar to pay. Again no one acknowledged us and eventually the manager presented the bill to us for our drinks (not that we’d asked for it) and mumbled sorry at us. We advised her of our experience but instead of trying to rectify the situation asked us to point out the tables that had arrived after us and had their order taken. Then go on to tell us that she wasn’t even allowed to take any more food orders…. How long would we have been left to sit there? I felt the managers attitude was quite confrontational and I was almost made to feel like it was my fault. Having worked in the industry for over 15 years I feel I’m more than patient, and I appreciate things don’t always go to plan. We understand places get busy and understaffed and if you needed to delay things to help the kitchen team out, then fine, but at least have the decency to say that to us, instead of just completely ignore us. The treatment we received and then not even a genuine apology or an attempt to right their wrongs, I find disgusting.

We took a chance after reading the reviews on here. Glad we did. The food was gorgeous and the portions were big! However, we did have to wait an hour for our food despite it not being very full when we arrived. The staff were locket but there was an air of slight chaos! Probably wouldn’t go for a pre cinema meal as I’d worry we wouldn’t get food on time before the film started. I gave this place four stars as the food for me did outweigh the wait.

We came to the restaurant and was told straight away that our food would be delayed as they were busy. The restaurant wasn’t full we were sat under the air con which was freezing. Looking around everyone had their coats on. Even the lady who booked us in which I presume was a manager had a wholly jacket on. We asked for air con to be turned off which we were told they would do. Starter took an hour to arrive, sour cream was missing so I asked for some which never arrived. Had to flag a waitress down for more drinks. It was still cold in the restaurant so we asked to move, they moved us to another table under the air con again so we decided to leave. An hour and half after arriving only having our starter and 2 drinks. We paid £33 for the pleasure of a cold evening, 2 drinks each and an incomplete sharing starter. Very disappointing as it was a birthday meal. The service needs to step up the girls who were waiting on need better training on asking if anyone wants drinks etc. and not to tell us that the air con wasn’t on. We could feel the cold air blowing down above us. Not acceptable in January. We were so happy a Mexican restaurant had opened in Halifax with what looks like a great menu, but if changes are not made quickly it won’t be open long.

We booked in for a meal the manager was absolutely fantastic she couldn’t do enough for us very chatty and friendly food was lovely we will definitely be visiting again

Manager eye rolled when asked to do anything and had a really poor attitude towards customers and the other 3 younger ladies working there. Starters were average, could tell they had just been warmed up in a microwave. Over an hours wait for the starter and most of the meal we didn’t have a drink as we had to wait 25 minutes for a drink! Bearing in mind the restaurant was not anywhere near full capacity. Main was hot in places, lukewarm in others. Never been so disappointed. Other customers staring at you eating because everyone was delayed so much with their food! If it wasn’t for the stress, there would be no environment. The cocktails we had were lovely so we thank the lady with blue hair for them. I do hope things pick up in the future and that these are just teething issues but I will not be back.

Lovely atmosphere, very pleasant surroundings and gorgeous food.A little short on staff, one lady seemed to be doing everything out front by herself. But it was a lunchtime visit, so can understand. She was extremely pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us.

We booked a table only to be told when we got there that the food could take 40 mins to a hour to arrive, the whole reason we booked was so we could go to the cinema afterwards and would be served on time. Also the member of staff who sat us down sounded like it was too much effort to be there, this might be a new restaurant but with service like this it won’t be around for long. Don’t know how the food was as we left for another restaurant that provided the service we wanted, with a smile.

Starters were good, and everything about this restaurant promised so much but absolutely failed on delivery. Foul disgusting enchiladas just sent them back to kitchen. Waited over an hour for them. I'd rather starve. Wait staff has not asked if we are OK once even though again, we've been sitting here an hour. Not busy at all. We were only ones in at start. currently only 7 other tables now. **just left. Our total time was almost 2 hours. Not once did wait staff ask us if we needed anything ( like drink refills which we did), and we had to flag them down for everything. Yet again I must say. it wasn't busy in the least. What really upset me the most and the reason I think like most broadstreet restaurants that fail, staff are beyond rude. Waited 25 min for card reader ( that nobody was using) and when we asked waiter to hurry he said "yea yea yea". WRONG ANSWER. Won't be back but I do look forward to the next restaurant that will take its place in a few months.

The restaurant is fairly new so I’m cutting them some slack, but I found the experience average overall. Our server plonked the food down on the table and no one asked how our meal was. There was no atmosphere in the restaurant, there was some very quiet background music IMHO the music either needs to be turned up or perhaps play some Mexican music?! The food was very large portions and good value for money. I had the enchiladas which came out warm, but not hot - it should have been left in the oven an extra couple of minutes. Also I’m not sure why there was BBQ sauce on my Mexican food?! Overall it was ok, I wouldn’t not return but I wouldn’t rush back right now.

Glad i went on 2-4-1 taco night because I'd of been upset at full price. Stay home buy a kit and save 35 quid. The 3 fillings chicken, pulled pork and beef. The chicken was cheap and covered in bbq sauce? The pulled pork..... covered in bbq sauce? The beef...... covered in gravy! It was basically American pub grub in a taco. No salsa in sight not even as a condiment. Im thinking they ran out of salsa and thought.... How can do I make this moist? Not all bad I am full so I ate it? But I am a gannet. Won't go again. If you want mexican you'll probably be better off with nachos from the wetherspoons round corner. Shame really because in a nice complex, maybe budget less on the rent of the establishment and more on the ingredients. Genuinely disappointed

First time here , really nice food and had a variety of things to choose from. Also the portions were gigantic!!! The surroundings were also set out very nicely and had very friendly staff. Highly recommend coming.

We went there on Friday, just to have a nice time, how wrong the choice was after about 20 minutes when food came we regretted the choice. My Wife ordered a Hikory Burger, my Son a Quarter pounder I think, and Myself New Yorker Burger all the burgers where tough as leather ( definitely cooked to long with microwave or under the grill ) however my sons burger was partly raw in the middle and on the outside tough as leather, also if my research is correct every customer needs to be asked if there are any food allergies, no such thing has been done

Booked a visit on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was rather busy but still a few spare tables. It took over 30 minutes to get drinks to the table and a further 20 minutes to get our food order taken (throughout the duration of this wait, we could hear the chefs shouting at all servers to take no more cheques). The restaurant was clearly understaffed which sometimes can be unavoidable with staff let downs etc., however in any case, leaving a table unacknowledged for 30 minutes is unacceptable. One starter came out on it's own, with the following starter arriving 15 minutes later (along with the starter we had already eaten -it was clear this was meant for another table). After 1 hour and a half after arriving we finally got our mains which were disappointing. The portions are huge but the quality was a let down. We were left with dirty plates in front of of us for 20 minutes with no offer of another drink. This place has loads of potential but at the moment it's let down by shouting managers, walking round yelling at waiting staff, and chefs who appeared overwhelmed by the volume of orders.

Lovely place to go with family. Hubby did burrito challenge, I had paprika beef burrito and daughter had chicken fajitas. (Staff boxed up the half of the giant burrito hubby couldn't eat). Fab presentation, very tasty and just the right amount to full without being...

My wife and I booked a table at this great restaurant..my wife decided on the paprika beef burrito after seeing the menu on line .. now as lovely as it looked I had already made my mind up on the "Beat the burrito "challenge ......

I came here tonight 2nd December with my partner. We had the cheese loaded nachos and ribs to start, for mains we had sausage and King prawn burrito and the pulled pork chimichanga. The portions are very generous
