The hotel is clean and recently renovated. It’s a 19-minute walk to the town center, and the breakfast is lovely. We’ll definitely return next time

Nice hotel for our overnight stop when travelling south from Scotland. Our room was clean and spacious and we slept well in the comfy bed. Morning breakfast was plentiful and tasty. We were on the second floor, in the eaves of the hotel, which was a bit of a struggle for two 70 year olds trying to get overnight cases up stairs without help. The TV was pointless as the picture was just pixelated (see photo); thank goodness the WiFi was good and we had our handheld tablets for entertainment.

My parents live in north Sunderland and coming here for food and a drink was honestly one of the highlights of my visit. It is such a shame to hear that the food is no longer being served and the bar is now closed to all general public and is now just being used as a B&B. I just want to say a huge thank you to Monica who has always been so very welcoming to us in the past, you are a credit to The Longstone and I will truly miss the visits. This is honestly the best local for food and dribk in north Sunderland and I do hope the owners will rethink their decisions and may think about re-opening to the public again in the near future. Thank you to Monica and all the other staff we have encountered on our many visits to the Longstone, for always being so hospitable, friendly and welcoming. I will surely miss my coming here!

Lovely, quaint and friendly. I came here with my 3 year old. The staff were so friendly towards us, adapting breakfast and even made him his own decaf cup of tea every breakfast. The staff are incredibly friendly, the rooms are fresh and cosy, the area is quiet and a 5 mun walk to the town area. Joshua (3 years old) says he likes the people who work here and the food. (What more can be said!) Pick this hotel.

My partner and I stayed a week at hotel .. it is a bit over priced considering the lack of facilities provided as restaurant closed and bar open only open part of the week and shower was a little bit challenging at times especially as my partner is 6 foot 2 ! However overall our experience wouldn't have been the same without Faye and Monica who served our breakfasts and cleaned our rooms ! They really did make the difference ! So friendly and helpful ! Thanks for everything! 🤗❤️

Stayed for two nights 16th and 17th July, bed and breakfast. Lovely family run hotel , spotlessly clean , friendly staff, great breakfasts, nothing too much trouble. Quiet area , a short drive from the centre of Seahouses and a good base for visiting the area. Would definitely recommend and would stay again when in the area . Thank-you for a lovely stay. Great small hotel outside Seahouses but close enough not to be a problem. Really friendly, helpful staff.

We booked this hotel through a third-party website. We were a big group, and the description of the room was accurate and suited us perfectly. The hotel staff had contacted us prior, which was nice. It is located centrally in the town on the main street. There is dedicated parking at the back. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast lovely. The staff were friendly and service good. Overall, we enjoyed the stay there.

Clean hotel friendly staff, large car park hotel less than a mile from centre. Only down side was the heating the temperature in the room and dining room felt too cold on a number of occasions.

The vegetables were cold and my order was wrong. Should have been salmon with prawn sauce but it was sent on a salad instead so what I thought was going to be a hot meal was totally cold.

We've just been to the Greggs at Marygate and we were served by the most lovely, welcoming and experienced staff ever, Anne went far and beyond what could ever have anticipated and we will certainly be back again and again. Cheers for great time at Greggs ❤️

Absolutely brilliant - home made fish & chips - fresh & delicious. We took two home made cakes away and they too were delicious. Well done 👍

Sunday lunch was delicious. Have visited before and the food was lovely then too. Only issue on both occasions was that the restaurant is like a greenhouse when it’s bright sunshine streaming through the all glass venue. Far too hot inside and had to squint throughout both visits for the entire meal due to the glare. Some blinds would be handy on such occasions.
