Recently had an early Pre-Theatre Family Meal at this very iconic and lively Restaurant. My first visit , although others have been here on several occasions. The Service was friendly , prompt and efficient. Booked a table for Four and we had a range of dishes ( Mains only ) : Seafood Linguine , Salmon , Sea Bream and Pizza. I had the Pizza , which has a fresh tasty base to it. We all had a couple of drinks and had a lovely couple of hours r so in the Restaurant. The early Meal meant that we had to move on to the Theatre , so I would like to return and linger longer over more Courses. Nice Menu and reasonable prices. I look forward to a return visit.
Unless you live local you are unlikely to come across this restaurant. Even google maps struggled for us. From outside the place looks nothing special. Inside the place looked more authentic. The servers were both friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The litre of house white was very reasonably priced and tasted ok. Impressed with the tomato and cheese garlic bread as the starter. My wife loved her thin crusted Funghie Prosciutto pizza with masses of ingredients which melted in her mouth. I had the Calzone di Carne which was awesome with plentiful of chicken. Sadly we had a train to catch which meant we couldn’t have dessert though to be fair we were probably full anyway. Will definitely come here again when visiting the local theatre.
11/11/2021: the service was really good, good atmosphere, did not have to wait too long for food..,the half price pizza and pasta night is good, however the pizza is of poor value, hardly any topping on it, can make better ones my self. the base was not cooked very well, what a shame I could hardly see any topping on it.
30/10/2021: Went for date night and had a wonderful meal. Excellent quality and the amount of seafood in the seafood linguine was unbelievable. The starters were excellent and my husband had a large salmon fillet with lovely prawns on top. Couldn’t have had better
