Lombardi's in Chesterfield

We chose Lombardi as one of our party is vegan and they appeared to have the best vegan menu. Everyone enjoyed their meal well cooked and great service. Cannot recommend to highly as everything was perfect.

It’s been awhile since I had such an amazing pasta!! Words can’t describe how delicious the pasta was! The garlic sauce for the calamari and the french fries was soooo good too! I will definitely come back for more!

The lobster linguine and tagliatelle boscaiola is incredible. We both love each dish so much that we eat half then swap (if this is a crime, arrest me 😂). When the sea bass is on the specials menu, order it, it's cooked perfectly! The desserts are lovely too.

Great food, service slightly slow but acknowledged by manager and didn't matter as Kai kept us brilliantly topped up with wine!

Would rate less than 1 if possible. We have eaten here before on many occasions and thought it was a great restaurant, how far it has fallen, we were beyond disappointed waste of £114 should have went elsewhere. Night started off with drinks being spilled everywhere by the waitress, which could happen to any of us, but it did set the tone. About 3/4 of an hour later we managed to order. Very strange behaviour and interaction from the waiter, who kept telling us he was being funny but was actually just making us feel uncomfortable and awkward. Then another 45 minutes later our food finally turned up after we managed to catch the eye of another waiter, who there seemed to be many of milling about looking about and serving no one, well certainly not us. Two of our party had fish, this was strongly smelling unpleasant and I quote slimy, it didn’t feel cooked properly. Unfortunately they couldn’t fill up with veg as the share between 2 plate was more of single portion. Just to cap it all off we were also treated to the background music of cackling drunken ladies with no sense of volume control.This was supposed to be a celebration meal, absolute disaster. We didn’t complain at the time as we just wanted to leave without making a scene. After being previously retuning patrons over many years, we will never eat there again . Used to recommend to others now would suggest going elsewhere

I reserved months ago because I love the food here so I can 100% say stunning food!!! But unfortunately we had to ask to be served multiple times, the wait on food was very long and our party had all had enough after being there from 19:15- 22:15 for two courses so I didn't get to have pudding on what was a very special night for me. I did get sang to by one of the waiters with a guitar at the end which was nice but it didn't make up for the fact everything was super slow + Some of the party did find prices a bit expensive for what they had eg a basic margarita pizza was almost £18 I believe.

This is our favourite local meal for family occasions and nights out. Lovely people service and food.

Very nice! We went on a Saturday night, the place was very busy but in a good way, creating a lovely atmosphere. The food was lovely (the spare ribs were amazing). We had a great time, well done.

Turned up with no reservation on a Wednesday night not local to the area didn’t expect to have to book however the staff soon fit us in at the bar, very attentive friendly and professional superb quality food would 100% go back if I’m ever in the area again

Very good food, as a large group we had to pay a deposit which is fair enough. The food arrived at the same time which is no mean feat for a group of 20 eating different things. We had to go up and get our own drinks but probably worked out better than splitting a bill.

lovely lovely lovey!!!! i can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. Atmosphere was impeccable. We had a lovely server called Eva i could not recommend her enough. Her knowledge of the dishes was truly outstanding the way that she commuted around the work place was wonderful. She is truly amazing at what she does. The dishes could i even say enough about that. we had the risotto and lasagna. The flavours popped like in no other place it was a fusion of flavours congested into one impeccable dish. The restaurant had a slick design that attracts the audience to dive into further dishes. I will be 100% returning to lombardis a true experience.

came here with my family the other day, the food was incredible and i highly recommend! The overall service was impeccable and we felt very looked after by the staff. We had a waitress called Eva and she was wonderful and very sweet! loved the experience and will definitely come again!

Just had a birthday meal here and had to wait 1hour 20 mins for our main course to arrive. We watched a table arrive after us and leave before we were served our food. There was apparently a mix up with our order. I had to chase our order on several occasions with very hungry children waiting. We won’t be returning. Such a shame as heard great things. We had our breads and olives reimbursed but I don’t feel it was good enough.

After all the hype we were disappointed. A group booking (25), we arrived on time and had to wait with no direction from staff of where to stand, we got in peoples way and had to shuffle around. We had to wait an hour from starter to main course. I had calzone which was dry and over cooked and expensive. The staff were rushing around and stressed. Overall experience was disappointing.

The wait was ridiculous considering we was a large party that pre ordered & apparently spitting the drinks bill was a massive issue, also if u don't take American express cards , just say , pls don't try to embrass me saying I can't afford to pay.

Booked as a group in advance and pre ordered meals, meals were ordered for 20.30 didn't arrive until 22.00hrs staff were also very rude and rushed off there, feet I felt that the restaurant had too many customers which is a postive but not enough staff so hence left waiting this has left me feeling put off and I wouldn't go again

Was a bit slow service but very busy, I feel the kitchen may not be big enough to serve so many people in a timely fashion. None the less food is amazing and will be back.

Excellent food. Interesting range of authentic dishes. Portions are not over-large which is good as it allows you to have three courses without feeling uncomfortably full.

Came here for a birthday celebration. We had a lovely large table for 6. The staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. We all had 3 courses which were beautifully served, (steak cooked perfectly) I just cannot fault this restaurant and will definitely return. Thankyou for making it a special evening. 😊😊

Hands down the best restaurant in chesterfield now. We went on Saturday for my dads birthday, and all 7 people really enjoyed their food. We all also had a member of staff sing a variety of his favourite songs on guitar which was very nice, highly recommend

Very good place to visit would highly recommend this restaurant to go for a meal.

The food here is excellent. Very tasty and well presented. I was also surpised at the decent portions that were brought to the table. Had Garlic Bread for starter followed by Arrabiata for main. Both were brilliant. It's a bit pricey but it's worth it. However don't have the cocktails, these were very poor, lacking any alcohol in my Pina Colada so it was just pineapple juice.

Just had our anniversary meal there, absolutely beautiful. Every member of staff were lovely. Portions were massive, iv brought home half my calzone. We will be back very soon, thank you for your warm hospitality. Love James and Charlotte x

Dined on a Monday evening with a friend. Wonderful, lively atmosphere - especially for a Monday. The food was delicious and I also enjoyed trying a seasonal pumpkin flavoured cheesecake for dessert.

What an awesome restaurant. Very welcoming and friendly from the start to the finish. Beautiful decor everywhere and the food was out of this world! It was busy and had a brilliant atmosphere but everything ran smoothly. Love the pizza oven... Nice touch and the artwork and signs etc all brilliant. I really enjoyed it and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area !

Excellent! Booking was easy. Warmly greeted on arrival and treated to friendly service throughout. Food was super tasty, quite quick to arrive and large portions. Drinks well matched to the menu. Reasonable prices too. Children loved their food. Filled us up until breakfast. Charming atmosphere. WCs well maintained. Highly recommend.

Lovely decor and atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Portion sizes are really generous and delicious. A little expensive but based on the portion size I’d say it’s great value for money.

This should have been a five-star review but for a couple of misgivings. When we arrived the atmosphere was jolly. The lighting was perfect. And the ambiance fitting of a high-end Italian restaurant. The tables and chairs are made of a mid-colored wood that blended well with the decor, all were good. We had a short wait and were shown our table which was by the window as requested. We ordered some drinks and then waited for a waiter or waitress to return to take our order. In the meantime, The central table which caters to party bookings was empty when we arrived and was now being populated by guests. We watched as they were waited upon and served almost immediately. 45 minutes later no one had asked for our order. The party table was now enjoying their second course. We enquired and were told without even a hint of an apology that things were a little slow because of the party booking being attended to. I explained I just wanted to know if we could order. It was as if I was speaking another language. We eventually ate 1 hour and 45 minutes after we arrived. The food was outstanding, it was the best-tasting Italian I've ever had. I ordered the lamb and it was cooked to perfection. Served with mashed potato puree with a caramelized red sauce currant and a beautiful onion gravy that was perfect. The broccoli and roast potatoes were exquisite. Our total meal including all drinks was about £98 Including spirits. I've given this a 2*review because having to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes without an apology is simply unacceptable. But I would recommend Lombrdis as the food was worth the wait. The staff was excellent and we had a wonderful time. It is just a shame, not all customers are treated equally.

I have been to this family run restaurant many times and most recently two days ago. On each occasion I have found the food to be sensational, the staff to be fantastic with the whole experience being absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for great food with an authentic Italian atmosphere look no further …. Lombardis is the place to go. Well done the Lombardis family.

We waited for food for 8oclock until 9.50 Discussed we would not go again. ( we spent over £200.00.and we had preordained our food no excuse.

Pizzas were burnt around the edges, when this was raised with staff they claimed that authentic pizza was supposed to be this way- ridiculous and very pricey!

Why have we never visited before, instantly blown away by the decor and how beautiful it is inside!!! Lovely friendly and attentive staff, food was AMAZING ! I annoyed that we’ve lived within 10 miles and have not been before, sooooo good!!

Absolutely excellent experience. I can't write the review without first completing the staff members, Speranza and Luka. Very attentive, polite, and cheerful. Food was tasty and well served. Could not be faulted.

I came in on the off chance that have a seat for a single diner on a Saturday. They were so inviting and I was happy to wait a couple of minutes for a table to be readied. It was sooo worth the wait. The calzone was excellent and I don’t doubt all of their menu is. The Amoretto/I ice cream dessert was just heavenly - a lovely evening. Definitely a recommended spot to eat in Chesterfield.

Interior design is very nice. Clearly a popular restaurant, few larger groups when we visited as well. Staff were pleasant. Starters were a little disappointing but main courses were really delicious.

Best profiteroles and ice cream this side of Naples.

Food was good when it arrived. One of only a few places open in Chesterfield on a Monday evening and consequently rammed full. Hence the pedestrian service. Thirty minutes elapsed before our order was taken! What I ate was fine, a bruschetta to start, then a veggie risotto.

Food was really lovely. We were a party of 6 for my 60th birthday. Poor amateur service. Pizza oven sent out choking smoke which wasn't pleasant. Couldn't get anyone's attention when requiring something. Ordered coffees then waited 20mins. They never came. Asked for the bill then had to go to counter to pay as noone around. Did complain but only got a sorry. The kitchen is doing a great job being let down by front of house.

Lovely restaurant. Best fillet steak my son has had. Every meal had lots of taste and the atmosphere was great. It was a little pricey but reflected in the food. We will be going back to this restaurant.

Food was fantastic, couldn't fault it at all..every meal was excellent.. however, the service wasn't what we expected.. The staff were very polite but we waited 45 mins for someone to take our food order! And this was after we had told a young chap earlier we were ready to order.. Around 4-5 tbls of 2 walked in after us & all of them were served before us, and we're also finished, paid & had left before we even received our bill...an unfortunate blot on what was an otherwise good evening..

When we first arrived we were greeted by a friendly member of staff and was seated by another friendly staff member. The manager seemed quite rude and a few other staff were looking down their noses at us. We ordered garlic bread pizza and pasta, all was very nice and food was good but to my absolute horror my daughter found a rusty nail stuck in the bottom of her pizza and almost swallowed it , obviously she then left the rest of her pizza and myself and my son didn’t feel comfortable eating our mains. The staff looking very worried and suspicious made us feel like the nail couldn’t of possibly come from their kitchen and almost laughed at us. My partner went to the kitchen and informed me the nail was identical to the ones they had in the cutlery they use to pick up the pizzas from the oven. The manager reluctantly lowered our bill and huffed when we said we weren’t prepared to pay for meals unfit to eat. We WONT be returning. The only positive I have is the three male members of staff , the restaurant itself looks nice and the food (without nails) is good food.

Great food, a little on the pricey side like most places these days but it was worth it due to the quality of the food. The only dampener was we kept having to continuously ask for things like drinks and the bill, but the staff were very young and we had a lovely time, so we won't split hairs over that. Definitely recommend

What an amazing experience from beginning to end! Service was attentive. The food was delicious. Then we finished the evening with cocktails in the recently added bar area, which I must say is stunning. Defiantly not to be missed!

Well......I had booked a table for myself, my husband and a friend of ours who lives in the area. However, on the morning of our booking I had a fall and broke my foot!!!! Needless to say all our plans had to be cancelled 😞 - absolutely gutted. Everyone was so understanding. However, on a positive note we will be back once I'm mobile again - something to look forward to
