Loved this tiny Italian restaurant, great atmosphere, staff and delicious food 🫶

delicious, homely fresh ingredients and food! Certainly worth the wait and the hype. We will be back many times!! No particular recommendation as everything is fantastic!

Great Service, best italian food we’ve had.

Beautiful authentic Italian restaurant. We were glad to be able to book a table for early dinner despite only texting on the day. The pasta is delicate and tasty. The pizzas are another level of good, exceptionally light bases and a sauce full of flavour. The diavola was just the right level of properly spicy. Exceptional, we'll visit Margate again in the future just to eat here... Thank you.

We ate a pasta dish, a pizza and tomato's and mozzarella on the side. 5* food all day long. Staff were spot on and it's a cosy little environment with a real Italian back street vibe. Will be returning for sure.

Cute little restaurant, London shrinkflation price, cash only establishment. Service was also not bad but the portion is a joke. £15 for a main with handful of gnocchi in it and no sauce. Bruschetta was also overpriced with two tiny pieces of bread. Nonna‘s would not be proud. Overall, good but the owners need to reduce the price. Prices on the website is very old and misleading.

I had the garlic bread which I shared with my 2 year old and the mushroom ravioli. The garlic bread was black on three slices and the flavours were not right (for the price and my preference) on the ravioli, I had to ask for more black pepper, which I never do! However the dessert was really tasty and the atmosphere was lovely, friendly waitress, only 6 tables and nice atmosphere all round.

Nice little place in the Old Town of Margate. Just happened to wander past while we were looking for somewhere for dinner. We didn't have a booking but the staff managed to accommodate us. Recommend making a booking as we just got lucky. It's a small place but clean and comfortable, with a nice atmosphere. We had pizza and a pasta dish, food was excellent. Staff were friendly and the service was excellent- appreciated since we were short of time. Definitely worth a visit and located in a pleasant part of town.

A tiny truly traditional trattoria in the centre of Margates old town. Cash only is a slight inconvenience, but it's well worth the hassle of finding an ATM.

It was my first time visiting Margate and I would go back just to eat here. The restaurant has a lovely traditional, authentic and independent feel. The menu is fairly small which makes you feel that everything is fresh and made with care, which it most definitely is. For starters we had Bruschetta Tricolore and Caprino. Both were good portions so we were able to try a bit of everything each. The olive pate bruschetta was my favourite. For main course we went for pasta. I had the Pasta Pesto Genovese. I don't usually go for this as it's available at most places but this was delicious so I was glad I did. This place is great for a couple having a romantic dinner but would also work well for families as a very relaxed atmosphere. All the staff are very attentive.

We spent most of the time as the only customers. So we had time to ask& listen to the guy telling us who all the people (in his dad's family) who graced a wall. We're coming back for his mum's side. The food was excellent. I mean authentic and really good. The antipasto mixto was stunning, generous & really good value @ under £20. We shared a pasta and a parmigiana he gave us our pasta already divided & served on two plates. The mixed green salad was fresh, crispy, crunchy, tart. The perfect accompaniment. Way cheaper to buy a bottle of wine than by the glass

Got a couple of takeaway pizzas that were the best I’ve had in a long time! The restaurant itself is super cute and atmospheric, will be back!

The owner/chef was very welcoming. The food was delicious and the staff was polite. The venue is very small, so they only accept reservations. Worth it. As I prefer cash over card, I was happy they are cash only business. It's one of the few places that still takes cash here in the UK.

We turned up without a booking, and were - thankfully - given a table. We got lucky with this one. Great food, in the tiniest of restaurants. The meat ravioli was delicious, dense with a tasty sauce. The wifes mixed mushroom ravioli was very tasty. Our youngest had a gluten-free pizza - the thinnest base I have ever seen. She was very pleased with that. Hope to get back there again, sometime.

It was coming up to closing time and we had not found anyone else with a sensible vegan offer let alone a gluten free one. They did us two pizzas, one gluten free, and both were fantastic. Would absolutely go again to try other vegan options.

A very nice meal, in a lovely little restaurant. However a couple of caveats … the menu was limited to Pizza only an hour before closing - the chef was cleaning down! - we could only pay by cash - necessitating a mid meal dash to the cash machine 5 minutes walk away! … they could have said! Great meal kinda spoiled a bit.

So authentic and delicious food! We were surprised at how extensive the menu was given the tiny restaurant. It really felt like we had teleported to Italy. Great decor, amazing experience. So happy we chose to eat here!

The pizza we got from l’Olivo was delicious! They are a small shop, full of charm. I called to place a takeaway order and went to voicemail, but quickly received a text and was able to place my order via text message. Looking forward to going back!

One of the best Italians I have had in a while. The chef's special was meatballs and Nduja sausage and wow, was it good! Lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Would be even better if they accepted card payments though.

First of all, I would like to underline that they take the reservation business very seriously because the place can serve almost 10 people at the same time. food was really delicious and attentive tiramisu was in its original taste İt might be a good idea to ask for the special regardless of the menu. The pastas we ordered were fresh and delicious.

Such amazing food!! The caprese salad was so fresh and the balsamic glaze on both this and my goats cheese pizza was fantastic. The base on the pizza was wonderfully crispy with a fluffy crust, and the tomato sauce was great. Ordered the tiramisu for dessert and was surprised at the size of the large portion, but was reassured that it was light - and it really lived up to that (cloud like texture and boozy base!). The atmosphere in here is really cosy; if you had told me I was eating in an Italian backstreet I would have believed you. 10/10 recommend - will be returning.

Amazing food. Lovely friendly staff. Nice and intimate.

We were aware they are very busy this time of year and enquired about a takeaway around 6pm. My parents were told to look at the menu outside their window and return later in the evening once selections had been made. When we returned after 7pm, we were told they do not do takeaway as they were busy. Was incorrect to tell us to return later in the evening when they could not accommodate our request. We were looking forward to trying the food here as the reviews were great, but the whole experience left my family and i very upset as we were looking forward to Italian food that evening.

We love this restaurant! The food is authentic, delicious, and cooked to perfection! We especially love the ravioli and the tiramisu. It is a small place, so nice and intimate with fantastic service. And a great local in the heart of the town. Plan to book in each time we visit Margate!

Small restaurant, 6 tables, but genuine good Italian food. After speaking to the chef and owner he came to the uk as a builder from Luca near Piza, to work on Dreamland. And opened L’Olivo. Clearly a passionate cook who cooks local dishes to his home in Italy. We had a great night, its rough around the edges but as genuine as it comes. Thank you Chef!

I would give this 6 stars if I could. My wife and my parents I had starters, 3 pizzas, several drinks each, desserts, and limoncello for less than £100. Considering the quality of the meal, this is simply unbelievable. The food was absolutely incredible. This is far and away the best pizza and tiramisu in Margate -- which has no shortage of excellent pizza and tiramisu! My father said this is the best pizza he's had in his life, which is saying something since he comes from Chicago, a city famous for pizza. The service was excellent, as well. The server and chef were both kind and gracious. My parents are visiting us for the first time in the UK, and I know we'll remember this as a special night. The food just made it that way. This is where we'll be going in the future for dates, special occasions, treating guests, and pizza takeaways after a long week. I can't sing their praises enough.

Simply amazing. Paid about 50 for 2 people. Starter, Main, Desert for both. Atmosphere was amazing. The chef is a wonderful Italian lad who really knew how to treat his customers. Let me not start about the food. I’ve been to Italy many times and this place made me feel like i was there through the undeniably Italian taste. Wonderful experience overall.

Very good option: pizzas were excellent and service was polite and attentive. Only downside was the Nutella cake dessert (much too sweet and creamy). House wine was very drinkable too!

We, my wife and I, were going to Margate from London and we found this restaurant on trip advisor. We booked via text as advised and had to change our reservation but they were very accommodating. The service was super friendly and the food arrived piping hot at the table. I had a pizza and my wife had the gnocchi. Really nice house red wine. All very cosy. I would recommend this little restaurant if you are visiting but remember to book ahead.

Really enjoyed a family meal here, good service and great food at reasonable price. Doesn't seat many so book ahead, especially if there are more than 4 of you. We couldn't be seated the first night so we booked ahead for the following evening, we had to take an earlier time to ensure our group could be accommodated but it was definitely worth it.

We ordered two vegetarian pizzas.. And guess what.. The two pizzas had different faces.. One had mushrooms and other didn't.. Also, the onions tasted very raw.. And had lots of those raw onions on my pizza..

This was my highlight of my trip to Margate - Quite honestly some of the best pizza you can get around the UK. One thing that truly astounded me was the presentation - The garlic bread was on a circular board in the style of pizza, and the delicious veggie pizza was on a pizza board. The restaurant is small and cozy, I recommend you to definitely go there while you are in Margate.

Absolutely the best pizza in Margate. Most likely the best pizza in Kent. And a good contender for the best pizza in the UK. No kidding And its super friendly! Great for families, but also a killer spot to impress a date, I'm sure. An all round winner.

Loved it! So small and intimate! Good amazing and so fresh. Wine choices divine. Staff super helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Really authentic and the chef is from Lucca in Tuscany which is just down the road from my Nonnas! Win win! Booking advised as really small and always busy! Speaks for itself!
