I've just had a cappuccino and a slice of lemon cake. OMG out of this world. The cake is so moist and lemony and the icing just melts in my mouth. I also noticed they did some wonderful looking pies and " hot honey" 🤔. Honey infused with chilli's. Maybe next time . I would 100% recommend a visit

The branding and idea of this place is so charming. I didn’t have a bad experience here, to be clear - but competition is high in Barnes and unfortunately the quality of coffee and muffin I had (blackberry oat bar was VERY GOOD) was just not as good as the other locations nearby. Muffin was chewy and tasteless although it looked amazing from the outside. Ambiance was a bit sterile compared to other cafes. The cakes looked good but I didn’t try them. Unfortunately just too easy to walk a minute down the road and go to Gail’s or feast or cinema cafe. Is dog friendly - with little dog treats in a container for furry friends.

Good coffee but the pastries are frankly really bad. Quantity is not quality sadly and a appetising large croissant ends ip being tasteless and so full of fat. The almond croissant was also inedible with too much sugar. Must do better!

Nice place with good coffee and pastries, but the place really needs to step up cleanliness. Tables and chairs are dirty, floor is dirty, and the spoon "cup" where you grab your spoons is dirty.

I asked the toasties like you have on your previous reviews posts (see 2nd pic). I burnt my lip, and top part of my mouth, I got instead a rather extra burnt oily toastie (1st pic), it was the last cheese one unfortunately I was so hungry & I had no extra money on my card to order from a different place, so i ate it which I would have never done in different circumstances…. The gentleman was so kind to me while I ordered that I didn’t mention it to him, he was rather busy…very disappointed!!

Lockdown Bakehouse Barnes was way better than I expected. I went here with my brother not expecting much of it because it was a quite small place but we were so wrong as the coffee was really good and the carrot cake we tried was superb. Honestly, the coffee wasn't too bitter but it still tasted like coffee and it didn't feel to heave or thick like certain ones. The carrot cake wasn't dry, it was really moist and the flavour was amazing. We could tell the carrot cake is not a big branch one as it still feels made with love. The atmosphere was ok, the place is small but has about 5 tables, some of them are smaller than other but you can definately take a sit here. The only thing I could mention that wasn't so great is how clean the floor was. The floor was a bit dirty and you could see some alive insects walking on the floor. This is nothing super alarming as this is due to the dirt from people's shoes when they walk in, but the place could use a bit more cleaning or, at least, a place where you can clean your shoes slightly like a carpet. Nevertheless I would recommend this place 100% as no one eats on the floor.

WE LOVE YOU LOCKDOWN BAKEHOUSE ❤️ Been going here for probably over a year now and it’s honestly never disappointed. The bakes are 11/10, the sandwiches and savoury food is amazing (those pies!!!) and the team are the best - they always make us feel so welcome. A trip here has become a Saturday ritual and it brightens the day up every time.

Good cakes. Erratic opening hours (not as listed on Google; on multiple occasions staff have turned us away when according to Google they're meant to be open...)

Never tried anything from this place until today. Purchased: Mince and Onion Pie, Sweet Potato and Goats cheese pie, an oat and coconut cookie and a Black Forest Latte. The latte I found to be a tad bit on the sweet side boarder-line sickening but good nonetheless a little less syrup and it would have been perfect, the cookie was on point in texture, moisture and crunch. Now on the the star of the purchase the pies! I haven’t had a decent pie like this for sometime not since the good old days of Jumbucks (but these are far better), the quality of the fresh ingredients used and the richness of fillings is sublime. The pastry light and fluffy not too heavy but just about right to hold the deep filled contents of these pies with out running the risk of looking like you can’t feed yourself without supervision or a Carer. If you are in the area of Barnes or Wandsworth Town I urge you to stop by and try one, you can thank me later.

Love lockdown bakehouse, the food, concept and staff in Wandsworth so decided to check out the cafe in Barnes. It missed the mark for me. The staff were miserable, bored and kept looking at their watches, probably looking when to clock off. The cafe wasn’t busy and they could have at least cleaned something. Tables and chairs were filthy and uncomfortable. The food and coffee was delicious though. Still remain a loyal supporter of Lockdown bakehouse but will probably go back to Wandsworth instead. The staff and friendliness really make difference to the overall experience!

I came here to grab a takeaway lunch when working from home. The goods on display seemed a little sparse, but it was almost 2pm when I went in there. I ordered a toasted chorizo sandwich and an Anzac cookie, which were both delicious! The staff were lovely too! I also just had to take a picture of the pastries as you can see all of the layers. Will need to swing by for breakfast next time.

The service and hospitality we received at Madhu's was incredible. The waitress recommended some amazing dishes that we all loved. They threw in an extra lamb chop just so we'd all have one each, which was so thoughtful. The most important part, is that the food was so incredible. I have eaten at a LOT of Indian restaurants, and even Dishoom has nothing on Madhu's when it comes to flavours. Every single dish we ordered was a distinctly different flavour, and so well cooked. No single dish disappointed us, and we were raving about the meal weeks later! I highly recommend the Palak Patta chaat, the garlic prawns, lamb chops and the butter chicken! Stop thinking and book a table, they even do 20% discount on certain days - you won't be disappointed!

I’ve been here loads of times. Such a friendly team. But this time I had lunch. As a meat eater I wouldn’t normally think to come here, but the food was excellent. I had the Bollywood dog, a vegetarian hot dog. Very filling and full of flavour. I bet I was more satisfied than if I’d had a meat dish. I highly recommend this place. They’ve weathered various storms like Covid and everything else and they deserve to do well, because they are so nice and accommodating, with an interesting offer in an area of Twickenham that has really struggled to do well over the years. A top notch pub/cafe for a wide broad audience :)
