Locale - County Hall in Lambeth

io e il mio ragazzo siamo italiani, dopo due giorni passati a Londra a mangiare fish and chips e hamburger abbiamo sentito l’esigenza di mangiare un piatto italiano buono! il ristorante “locale” ci ha permesso di tornare a casa, grazie alle sue portate eccezionali e ai camerieri molto amichevoli, in particolare Cinzia, che ci ha serviti gentilmente per tutta la sera chiacchierando di tanto in tanto con noi. Abbiamo ordinato la focaccia come antipasto, molto squisita e servita calda, la consigliamo a tutti. a seguire abbiamo preso degli gnocchi e dei paccheri, entrambi molto graditi. consigliamo il ristorante a tutti gli italiani malinconici di casa e a tutti coloro che invece non hanno mai avuto la fortuna di provare la nostra cucina!

Locale accogliente. Personale gentile e disponibile, Cibo gustoso, dessert super!! Ottima esperienza! Raccomandatissimo!

Lovely restaurant. The food was excellent. We ate at the Locale twice. Both times the service was excellent. Silvia served us both times and we were impressed by her professional and friendly manner. Food is very good at a reasonable price. Will definitely go back.

Excellent evening meal at Locale. Went with a couple of friends for our occasional meet up and were greeted with smiles and warmth. Pizza and pasta were wonderful, as always. Our thanks to everyone there, and especially to Flo who looked after us with efficiency and courtesy. Guy

Booked Locale as we had booked to see Witness for the Prosecution which is right across the road. The food was excellent, the service amazing, friendly and so efficient. The atmosphere was lovely & buzzing. It was also my son's 18th birthday and the staff sang Happy Birthday and gave me son a complimentary tiramisu and sparkler candle. The staff were so warm and welcoming, we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this restaurant ( which is a real compliment as we are a bunch of fuss pots !! )

I would really recommend going here! My friend and I tried starters, mains and deserts between us and all of it was delicious! We were served by Hana and Silva (I think were their names). The service was quick and you can tell that everyone works so hard to ensure that the customers have an enjoyable and comfortable evening at the restaurant.

We had the best time at Locale! Delicious food, great service and over all a really good experience. We were 8 people and everyone was very impressed. Would definitely recommend this place!

Stopped here after looking around for some nice place for lunch Very good italian food, nice ambiance. My Negroni cocktail was generous, I was happy.

Nice restaurant, good service and not bad value for London. We went before a visit to the Witness for the Prosecution which is opposite the restaurant. They were very friendly and took my Mum’s allergy to mussels very seriously. Would recommend this restaurant.

Locale Southbank was the pinnacle of our dining experiences in London. My 15 year old grandson (a pizza connoisseur) loved the Margherita Pizza, the Branzino (sea bass) was superb as was the stuffed mushroom. Desserts were great-especially the Froggagio - the perfect compliment to the delicious food. Michael Florin, our server, was the best!! He was warm, personable, friendly, fun, playful and engaging. We enjoyed him and the food so much, we made a repeat visit. We loved the casual neighborhood atmosphere. The restrooms were very clean.

Micael was an awesome server! Nice, always ready to help, and a fellow tuga and of course a delicious meal, the pizzas here are really Italian hahah.

Beautiful Italian restaurant situated just across the County Hall, not too far from the London Eye. The Cream of Mushroom was exquisite! The pizza was to die for. And the desert? wow! Very nice, cosy and quiet, clean restaurant. Can't wait to return.

My 15 year old grandson, Max enjoyed his Margherita Pizza-said it was the best of several he tried while in London and loved the chocolate dessert. He also liked the server, Michael Florin a lot saying he talked directly with and was fun and funny.

Very good Italian restaurant, with lots of choice. Pizza, gnocchi, ravioli, lasagna, salad and many other choices. A warm welcome with tourists and best advice to their customers. Close to London Eye and fast, quality service. I highly recommend this restaurant. Quality level, affordable price!

This is one of the best Italian places I’ve been too while staying in London! Michael was our waiter, and he was so sweet and quite a comedian!

Very busy restaurant. Need to book a table in advance but they have the option to seat at the bar and eat amazing pizza. Great stuff. All trying their best to serve everybody.

The restaurant is close to London eye. I was a great meal and kids loved their pasta & pizza. It is worth for a lunch break.

This place has changed name a twice but it has been around for about 25 years. The food is ok, nothing special... but it's fresh. Not microwaved. I would definitely go back!

Centrally located Italian restaurant. Well attended in the evening and quite loud due to the high room. The selection of food is really good and delicious.

Everything is expensive, I ordered olives and they brought me like 6 olives for almost £4.00 that’s ridiculous

Dined at Locale South Bank on many occasions during our stay in London and celebrated NYE with them! Absolutely wonderful, very well priced and excellent food. Highly recommend their NYE dinner with fireworks after- fireworks right at the London Eye !!

Very good restaurant serving excellent food & wine. I used to visit Locale several years ago regularly with a friend who lived nearby but not been for 4 years. Celebrated a birthday last night & it was a joy to return after such an absence. Just as good as it was. Good & friendly service too. Highly recommended.

Great cozy and authentic Italian restaurant near Westminster Bridge. The waitress was very friendly, and the food delicious and surprisingly inexpensive. We can highly recommend this place!

Staff were really nice. The place looks nice. Starter (calamari) was really good and fresh but the steak which I ordered was not awesome. Asked for medium cooking but was almost well done.

Lunchtime visit. With family. Busy, as it was NYE. Some good dishes ( Pollo Milanese) but Caeser Salad with chicken was dry. There was no hint of anchovies or Parmigiano in the very minimal dressing. Service was a bit perfunctory. Tiramisu was nice.

We randomly stopped here while we waited for our play to begin. We sat down by the bar and Shantelee, Mike, and Michael gave us the best bar service I think I have ever received. I wasn’t planning on coming back but I am absolutely going to come back specifically because of how phenomenal their service was. Everyone behind the bar was fantastic but specifically Shantelee and the very tall gentleman gave the best service. They were so personable and friendly. I cannot say enough nice things. I will recommend this place to everyone I know. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Es la segunda vez que voy… nos atendió un hombre , parecía enfadado y no creo que nos dio un buen servicio según hablaba con nosotros. Acerca de la comida la primera vez que fue la comida era excelente pero esta vez la porción que recibí era muy pobre. Decepcionada espero ir otra vez pero no encontrarme otra vez con este tipo de cosas

Food was tasty but besides of that I felt it a little expensive especially bc it’s doesn’t come with any side. The bread that came with the burrata wasn’t enough, lasaña no bread as a complement or salad. A part of that when we arrived we were told we need to give back the table in 1.5 hrs despite no body had taken our orden after 15 min. We were fast as we can by the time that we finished most of the table ware empty. I don’t like to be felt in a rush when I’m supposed to go a fancy restaurant to enjoy my food. I’d understood if the restaurant had been busy but it wasn’t. I wouldn’t come back again.

Beautiful place. Perfect service from smiling people. And an excellent coffee. Too bad we did not have the time to go again and try the food (that smelled super yummy ) and the cocktails.

Wir wollten nur etwas trinken und wurden dafür in den Bar Bereich geschickt! Tische wurden neben uns abgeräumt und eine Kerze wurde an unserem Tisch angezündet - wir wurden also definitiv wahr genommen! Leider hat uns keiner der mindestens 3 umherlaufenden Kellner bedient. Noch dazu waren wir die einzigen Gäste... Nach 20 Minuten sind wir wieder gegangen und es wurde sich sehr herzlich für unseren Besuch bedankt! Schade....

This restaurant was incredibly accommodating. We stopped by for dinner after a long day and had a big group and they made room for us in the bar area. We had a family with several kids and they made sure the kids were happy with pizza and spaghetti. The food was excellent as was the service. Madalina was incredible and so kind to our kids. She said “we prioritize making sure the children are always happy”. This was so comforting for us and special. The bartenders were also very quick and helpful. Thank you Locale for the perfect evening! We will visit again the next time we are in London!

Fantastic Italian spot with delicious food, great vibe, and outstanding service. Flori took fantastic care of our group from start to finish. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the pasta dishes in particular. Dessert and some complementary Limoncello were the perfect way to end the meal. Would absolutely return.

We phoned while on the way to the restaurant as we hadn’t booked and were running close to our time to go to a show close by. They assured us a seat would be available in 30 mins and were as good as their word. Ushered straight to a table (on a busy Saturday evening) and Cinzia then looked after us with calm professionalism that was unhurried but got us to our theatre in time. Food was very good - garlic pizza bread was full of punch, our pasta and Milanese chicken of good portion size and quality. Thanks so much for looking after us!

This is a great Italian restaurant. I have eaten here a few times whilst in London and everytime it has been amazing. The food is so good and authentic Italian cuisine. Ive tried the pasta dishes and the Calzone which I cannot fault - would definitely recommend the Tonarrelli Carbonara👌 The staff are lovely and so attentive and provide a great service everytime. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere and you’d be wise to book a table as its very popular! If you have room after all that pasta, I would definitely recommend the Affogato for dessert!

I had the 5 Star Martini, it was to die for. It has a delicious Passion fruit flavor. We enjoyed Buratta and their Pizza for dinner.

Non è la prima volta che ceniamo presso Locale di Londra. Ci siamo sempre trovati bene. In occasione di una visita nel Regno Unito ci siamo recati presso il ristorante una sera di novembre 2023, senza aver prenotato. Ci è stato subito assegnato un tavolo. Abbiamo cenato con pizza, bibite e caffè, al costo di 48 sterline per due persone (più mancia a discrezione). Tutto ottimo. Consigliato.
