Local Hero in Hammersmith and Fulham

We love our local coffee shop for its great variety of options and excellent coffee. The staff are wonderful, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Eggs Benedict was delicious and well priced!

I’ve had a lot of granola pots/bowls from different spots in London but this was probably the best one. So beautiful and tasty, perfect granola to yogurt ratio.

Very nice cafe with great coffee. My experience is that they’re deliberately trying to put people off from staying for long- there are no plugs to work from there (which I suspect people would only try to do during the week) and the music is extremely loud. I would recommend if you’re just picking up a quick coffee, but seems a bit noisy if you want to have a chat with friends, even if their food is delicious.

I love this place. It is my local and I’m in there at least once a week. The staff are amazing, helpful and skilled coffee makers. I would go as far as saying it is THE best coffee in Fulham ❤️ Their flat white is just ace! Besides, the food is quite something. Doesn’t matter if you go for brunch or lunch.

Had a very tasty meal, and a good catch-up with friends. Able to have good comfortable conversation without feeling rushed. Would definitely go again.

love this beautiful cafe 😍❤ it was my first visit. My mum was with me...I live locally and walked by so many times in the past., myself and mum are so alike 😆.. We are so fussy like Sally in the film.. When Harry met Sally.. really fussy with food and drinks 🍸ha ha 😂 The main server was very likable straight and u knew from that moment i felt totally relaxed in her hands✋ she was amazing her name was either Sue or Julie...she treated like royalty.ive she was like a good mum lol So patience . bless her 🙏 ❤ Definitely going back love it xx

Ordered a coffee. Waited for 20 minutes and reminded the staff twice, eventually had to change it to a takeaway coffee as we had to leave. The barista only started making the coffee as we made our way to the exit. Not even a sorry or an apology.

It’s the place to go. Wonderful atmosphere, the staff is great and the coffe is just how you’d wish for it to be. The breakfast burger is sensational, I had to stop my conversation and just enjoy it until the end. Favourite coffe shop in Fulham by far.

Wonderful coffee. Excellent cakes. A lovely bit of sun in the two front window tables. Aggressive dance / rock / pop music, presumably to encourage people to leave. Intolerable without noise cancelling headphones and one’s own music playing on them. Which is a shame, as otherwise it is a lovely calm spot.

Phenomenal. Coffee: hits the spot. Food: they just add that extra mmm.

Cute little local brunch place! They have seating at the back that is like a semi garden where they have heater on in winter so it feels very warm but still get all the lights. Menu is very brunch-y so expect many avocados and eggs and toasts but I'm not complaining! The price is very reasonable as well so I'd say it's a very good weekend spot! It can get really busy so make sure you book ahead. We brought two dogs and they are ok with it. So if you don't like to eat with dogs around, maybe consider having brunch somewhere else. Otherwise this spot is great!

I popped in to recover from the disappointing experience provided by a popular bakery franchise nearby. A wise decision. The Cortado, made with freshly ground Indian (!!) coffee beans, was delightful. The atmosphere is relaxed, with ordinary people meeting, chatting, or, like myself, simply enjoying a coffee.

The courgette fritters I savored were truly exceptional, with a delightful combination of a slightly crispy exterior and a moist and we'll seasoned interior. The brioche french toast was an indulgent masterpiece, offering a flawless blend of sweetness and decadence. And how could I possibly omit the avocado toast with poached egg? It was a harmonious combination of velvety avocado and flawlessly poached egg.

Unfortunate experience at this coffee shop. I was sat on the terrace working on my laptop and the staff started taking out the tables around me before closing time. Very rude indeed, I’ve never actually seen this done before. The staff was also completely untrained and didn’t know the basics of courtesy.

This coffee shop would be ideal if you're searching for a quiet area to unwind and read a book or anything else. The greatest coffee is offered there, and they even sell some freshly baked goodies. The workers at this establishment are really skilled, and the atmosphere is very soothing. Everything I needed was given to me, so I couldn't have asked for more. Congrats, guys! Lovely coffee shop serving great food! We had a delicious brunch here today - scrambled eggs on sourdough with side of grilled tomatoes and eggs Benedict. Eggs perfectly cooked & amazing yellow colour. Couldn't resist dessert of pain au chocolat & lemon drizzle cake! 😋 Of course the coffee was great. We ate in the covered dining area at the back, spacious but cosy & comfy. Staff were so friendly and service was great. Made our Wednesday morning off work! 👍

Totally fab spot, I literally come here everyday. The reasons why are because: 1. Great coffee! Best in Parson's Green and I am fussy af when it comes to coffee. 2. The music is really, really great. I've shazaamed every song and have whole playlists now from the epic music. 3. Everyone working here is really nice, friendly and welcoming 4. It seems to attract a really cool, authentic, genuine crowd. A lot of coffee shops are populated by instagram-influencer types that are kinda snotty and give off bad vibes. But everyone that comes to Local Hero is just super down to earth and nice. 5. The food is really great. 6. The wifi is really great

Great cafe, I feel the coffee, double espresso was of the mark, well under 40g extraction for a double espresso, potentially astringent. The venue and layout is lovely and the staff friendly.

Fun spot for quick GOOD coffee and breakfast goodies.

The flat white I had today local Hero Fulham was perfect in every way. The milk was perfectly steamed, with a thin layer of foam on top. The espresso was rich and flavorful, with no bitterness. The coffee was served in a ceramic cup, which helped to keep it warm. I took a sip and closed my eyes in pleasure. The coffee was smooth and creamy, with a rich chocolatey flavor. It was the perfect way to start my day. Thank you Fulham

My go to place for coffee and lunch. The coffee is always perfect. The wide variety of brunch and lunch is great for changing during the week when I am at work or the weekend with the children. Thoroughly recommended.

Fulham- but likely all branches as we were told it was managers decision. The food and coffee looked and has always been great here, however… they really ought to rethink their food strategy. I used to eat there a lot until I moved. But came back especially yesterday. Ordering two breakfasts for my partner and I- she didn’t want the sour dough toast, she doesn’t eat it and asked if it could be put on my plate or on a side plate. After initially taking our order, fifteen mins later we were told that wasn’t possible- managers request. No manager was available though to speak with. But they were happy for us to pay for an extra sausage and bacon and that would be delivered on a side plate. I questioned our server who was actually very lovely and sympathetic. He went to speak with the chef. Five to ten mins later, my partners food was brought out, before we had reached an agreement, and it had her toast on it. Allergies are significantly important to those with them- so we left. We won’t ever go back and I I’m appalled at how the smallest thing was a a sticking point- especially in any small business that deals daily with customers. I’m disgusted at the inability to respond wisely to this simple request.

Busy lunchtime, there's a good atmosphere. The toasty is great and so is the coffee. The place is clean/tidy, and the 70's /80's playlist provides the soundtrack to my youth! Thanks and happy new year!

Cosy brunch / coffee place with incredible food. The best avocado on toast (with feta, pesto, rocket and poached eggs) and a variety of amazing focaccia. Place itself is really quaint with a heated covered outdoor area. Staff are polite and friendly.

It was a really nice tea shop with good bakery options to go with the nice simple tea. I took the seat facing the street and it was a nice private but still public spot to work in the morning while grabbing a bite.

Food is nice but staff made you feel like they were doing you a favour by serving you.

Great grub! This is a super place to come to in Parsons Green. Amazing French Toast and the coffee is nice too. We came here after a Saturday night with more than a few drinks. Its a great place for sitting around and getting some chill time in the neighbourhood. Hey Uday / Amit!

Delicious food and great service. It is quite expensive though!

French toast is probably the worst thing I have tried to eat in a restaurant. Felt like I was eating oil and that too old reused oil. Coffee is only drinkable because they know how to froth milk, otherwise Starbucks does better coffee - because the beans are the same as the ones they use beans are probably robusta (and not the better Arabica)

If really good food is your primary concern for a brunch spot then Local Hero wins hands down. Their courgette fritter stack with a side of bacon is my fave brunch dish ever. Highly recommend.

My first time was really good and I enjoyed the great coffee, however the second time I was shocked how one of the staff spoke to me. After finishing my coffee, he came to me saying "we need the table now" without even asking if I need to order something else. I understand the café is busy but you shouldnt speak to customers in such a tone. This really put me off. Other than this the coffee and sandwiches are the best.

Don’t usually complain about local restaurants but I’ve been here multiple times and the prices do not match the quality of service. Staff is rude and just don’t really care about the customer. Came in to get a quick sandwich toasted to go. Thought it would be relatively cheap and take me 5 mins. It costed £8 for a small caprese sandwich (not even any meat), and it took me 25 mins because the server left the sandwich toasting and burnt it so had to start over. All while I stood waiting, like how long does it take to toast a sandwich? At most normal places you would get an apology for the wait - I simply got “sandwich” when it was ready 20 mins after ordering. That for £8 when I could go to many other places around Fulham for much cheaper with actual friendly service… won’t be returning even if this is my closest coffee shop.

Really rude staff not welcoming at all! I was shocked as I am a local but thought to try this place from my usual. They were not serving food at 2pm only sandwiches and cakes, fair enough but then they closed at 3pm when the timings says 4pm?? I arrived at 2:30 but obviously staff didn’t bother to inform me that they will be closing soon, the cafe was empty so can’t say that they were busy. Had coffee there which was just average! Sadly will never be going back again :(

Both “charming” and “delicious” spring to mind when thinking of Local Hero. The avocado toast is quite tasty and the add-ons perfect. Add to that the relaxed coffee shop ambience, and you’ve got yourself a perfect Sunday brunch destination, made even more attractive on a rainy London day…

Staff is very rude, really bad customer service. They forgot to bring us an orange juice, and when we called the waitress to mention it she rolled her eyes, as if inconvenienced. She then brought us a cappuccino instead of an orange juice. In any self-respecting establishment this is an automatic "drinks are on us". Instead, when she finally brought the orange juice 10 minutes later, she slammed the cup (yes, it was a plastic cup) on the table angrily and left. In addition to that, the staff are not wearing masks - I am writing this review during the peak season of omicron variant cases. Food is mediocre, but of acceptable quality. Admittedly, there are better brunch places in the area to spend your 35 quid for a coffee, an orange juice, and 2 portions of eggs on toast.

Lovely cafe in Fulham. Met here for a catch up and breakfast, good food and drink options and reasonably priced too. Good service and friendly staff, I got the toasted bagel and ham croissant with hot chocolate and it was good. Many seating options both inside and out.

Really delicious food and coffee with a great outside area round the back. Service is very efficient and the staff seemed lovely. A must visit in Fulham / Parsons Green and we will definitely be returning soon!

Where is the health and safety. Ine staff member no mask...potentially exempt, however the rude guy preparing food without any protective equipment decided to scratch his head or re adjust his hair or text on his phone every other minute before handling the food with bare hands. Also they didn't process my coffee and when I was left waiting for it, the same guy told me 'there is o coffee on your order' the other lady had to jump in and explain it was her mistake. Try apologising for your mistakes or perhaps understand the situation before you are rude to people paying you for a service/products overall, huge lack of hygiene and they make you feel like they are doing you a favour buy going here.

Coffee is very good however I am concerned about health and safety, especially during covid. I have seen staff not wearing masks by passing on a "I have a disability" badge. That's absolutely fine if you have a disability but I have been at local Hero regularly often to recognise the staff and I am pretty sure some of them used to actually wear a mask. Losing all the stars for this and definitely not a Local Hero to me anymore! There are lots more places in the area with excellent coffee and who are respectful towards the health of their customers (and people who actually have a disability and cannot wear a mask)

Favourite breakfast/brunch spot. Yummy food and coffee. They seem a bit under staff though especially on the weekends staff seems quite stressed.

Staff don't really acknowledge you, they were busy but felt they were rude and a bit dismissive, made me sit and I waited for 10 min then told me to order at the counter after waiting another 5 min at counter queue. Smoothie was ok. Hopefully others have better experience as place had good reviews!

there is no track and trace scheme at this place. tables are not cleaned with disinfectant no two way system a crowded back garden, people talking loudly crowd is what looks to be young people, so there is a high risk of catching something as there's little safety provisions against covid.

The coffee was to die for!!!! I had iced oat latte and I enjoyed every single sip of it♥️ Definitely will be back again and again and again!

Por lo general, soy un gran fan de este lugar, pero me decepcionó mucho en nuestra última visita. Pedí un moka y recibí un flate white. También pidieron un sándwich, del que se habían olvidado por completo hasta que le preguntamos a la camarera si venía ya que le estaba sirviendo uno a la señora que había entrado después de nosotros. Camarera sin disculpas y terminamos esperando un total de 35 minutos para un sándwich muy decepcionante. No está bien considerando que no estaba muy ocupado.

Extremely dry Anzac cookie, nearly choked on its dryiness. Would not advise buying.

Brunch food is great and the staff are kind. sweetcorn fritters in particular are really good! Its a relaxed feeling place that you don't feel in a rush to leave.
