Loafley in Pembrokeshire

We went to Loafley a number of times during our stay in Tenby. The cakes are superb and change regularly so we never had the same one twice. The bread is also fresh and the staff are very friendly. Would recommend.

Great bakery, we found on our last day! Amazing Welsh cakes straight from the griddle , I had no idea they should be like this! Only had the pre-packed before, and there’s absolutely no comparison. We had wanted sandwiches for our journey but their sandwich shop wasn’t open on a Monday the lovely staff member suggested sausage rolls and quiche with different salads - these were all so flavourful, she even cut them in half when I mentioned we would share everything. The blueberry Bakewell was also an absolute treat on the tastebuds . If you’re in Tenby do go and treat yourself, there’s a cafe too.

Best place in tenby for hot fresh Welsh cakes, delicious. The produce looks amazing, can't wait to try their sandwiches.

The best sausage roll on the planet and that is not an exaggeration. Great cakes, pastries and bread.

We only discovered this on our last day in Tenby. We bought a large slice of quiche and two cakes (blackberry crumble slice and the most amazing Lotus Caramel cheesecake 😍😍) which we carefully transported to our next destination and really enjoyed our seaside picnic in Rhosilli. Will definitely visit again.

We paid a visit to our favourite deli in Tenby. They have a great selection of food to go. My favourite is their sausage roll which I would say is the best you will taste any in the UK or the world if they make some. I have tried a few over the years and their sausage roll is by a country mile the best quality and taste you will ever find. The size is generous as well which makes it great value. Then I purchased a chocolate and almond torte and a blueberry and pear Bakewell slice. They seem to have taken me to heaven and back. They are fantastic.

Amazing bread and cakes are delicious. They have vegan options they’re just not labelled so worth an ask! Coffee was lovely and friendly staff too.

The perfect spot to pick up morning pastries, a fresh sourdough loaf and great coffee! We always call in here and we are never disappointed! We’re back in December for a visit…largely because we’ve heard amazing things about their mince pies :) Highly recommend a visit to Loafley

Wandered past this lovely coffee shop and spotted some outdoor seats so decided we needed coffee and cake. Outdoor seating area compact and peaceful and only 3 tables. I had a blueberry cake which was a mix like cheesecake and crumble (delicious!) And my aunt had a lemon and blackberry filled scone (also delicious). Coffee was good also. We will be back before the end of our trip here!

So nice to be able to pop out for a lovely cup of coffee and pastry in the morning while on holiday. And shop has some lovely gifts and interesting deli foods which I will try next time!

Popped into the shop to see what it was like. The staff were so friendly and helped me choose an absolutely delicious pear and chocolate panettone. We also had the biggest hot sausage rolls that now makes others pale in comparison. I just wish we lived nearer!

What a lovely shop. I had an orangey muffin with almonds. It was gluten free and just the most delicious cake ever! The salads looked amazing too so I'll be sampling those next time. Thank you Loafley.

Popped by for take out drinks, hot chocolate was the best I’ve had in ages. Selection of cakes in the window were also very tempting!

We were lucky enough to be staying in the flat above this bakery, woke up every morning to the delicious smell of fresh bread and cakes. The Bakewell tarts were delicious and different flavours. The peanut butter & choc squares were unbelievable. You can’t miss...

I had stayed in the flat above Loafley so my partner and I had enjoyed a complimentary sourdough loaf as part of the stay and 10% off baked goods and drinks. Loafley’s coffee is delicious and well-balanced and the cakes are well worth queuing for!...

We ordered a take away box for my daughter’s results day and it was amazing! We had some delicious salads, quiche, huge sausage rolls, macarons, and a lovely selection of cakes - there was so much food, we are still eating the cakes the next...

We didn't eat in but had bought some items at the bakery counter. The sausage rolls were amazing! Also bought sourdough bread, cheese and pate to have for lunch one day. Very good!

Found this bakery and visited most days whilst on our Tenby break. Did not buy bread but had croissants and the fab cakes, brownies, and the bakewell tart which was magnificent. Opens at 9am and is popular with residents so usually have to wait in...

Their seeded bread is utterly delicious as is their lemon/blueberry muffins. Expect to queue but well worth the wait. 👌

Very please we found Loafley on our trip to Tenby. Fresh delicious cakes and vegetarian friendly too. Only decent coffee shop in Tenby that we've tried. Took load of their bread home and it was 10/10 :)

We tried to get into a cafe round the corner from Loafley for an early lunch but there was a queue...thank goodness or we wouldn’t have found this little gem. We had the best ever sausage roll, almond croissant and the frangipani tarts to die for. There was also a queue here (understandably) but worth every minute we stood in it. Thank you for making our holiday extra special you have an amazing business!

Probably the best quiche I’ve ever eaten... today I had Leek Rarebit and it was a delight. We often pop here for coffees and my fave - Chai Latte. If you don’t stop by here for a cake, salad or snack when in Tenby you are missing out. Gorge little cafe/deli

Sat in the back garden behind the shop late morning for a coffee and cakes, the coffee really good but the cakes were outstanding. Whilst there I recommend purchasing some of their own baked bread and add some more cakes for later as they delicious.

We’ve visited on a previous trip to Tenby and very much enjoyed the food so visited again during our week in Tenby. We ended up with lunch and cakes every day! Delicious quiche and salads and the cakes are amazing. Different choices every dayGreat service too. Love this place. Highly recommended.

This is one of those little Oasis,you stumble across in a quiet part of town, inside was like stepping into a vintage french/italian fantastic,retro glass cups for the coffee was a lovely touch.The food & bread on offer looked so appetising.This definitely beats the corporate coffee houses! Our barista was immense!

Found this shop by accident while walking down Upper Frog Street . Previous night had only been able to get some awful bread rolls from Greggs to make toast for breakfast. My husband decided to find somewhere better using the Internet and Loafley’s came up. As we were parked nearby, I went in got some seeded bread and crumbly Caerphilly cheese. There’s a deli attached and a little browsing shop selling delightful cards etc. The cheese and bread turned out to be just heavenly and I’ll be buying another loaf when we go home at the end of the week. Cakes looked delicious too but we’re trying to diet in the run up to Christmas!

We popped in for a lunchtime snack and chose the sausage rolls. They we huge and full of sausage meat. Would highly recommend.

A self confessed coffee connoisseur (read as snob if you will). Stopped in for the afternoon fix before heading out of town. An americano and date scone. Coffee was well rounded, not bitter so not burned, a decent light roasted flavour. Easy to drink and a great size for the price. It went down well with a fresh, house baked date scone. I'll stop back in on my next visit to Tenby.

Popped into Loafy for a couple of rolls for lunch. Noticed the Lemon and Poppy seed scones on the counter and decided to try them out. Lunchtime at our holiday cottage overlooking Tenby North Beach was a treat indeed. Lovely rolls but the scones ..... delish!!! Tried to order some for the following day to take home with us but they don't have them every day. If you're lucky enough to find them when you go there, don't dither, just buy them.

can not rate highly enough, delicious fresh breads and service with a smile, independant businesses always offer so much more than the large coperate ones.

We were in Tenby for a week on a self catering holiday and visited Loafley almost daily for cakes as they were so amazingly good. The cakes are huge (we shared them) and all were delicious. There was a different selection each day and particular favourites were - pear and chocolate tart, lemon drizzle cake, lemon and poppy seed scones, chocolate brownies, almond and blueberry tart, maple and pecan loaf, and a cake which was a mix of shortbread base + berries and a crumble topping. We were an extended family gathering, that's why we worked our way through so many!

Wanted a simple roll and hot drink. It was difficult to know what was on offer at this place. No signs or menus to suggest takeaway possible but we asked and it was. Ham and cheese was all they suggested was available but asked for salad to be added and that too was available.

I have been to loafley four times now and I’m afraid it’ll have to be the last. Each time there’s been excellent food and coffee but the service is so awful with a very surly, miserable member of staff who has never smiled once at anyone in the times I’ve been there. In fact she is downright rude. When my daughter asked if there was a cup to go with a drink from the chilled cabinet , we were met with an abrupt NO! As the member of staff is fairly new I thought I’d give her the benefit of the doubt but it’s been a couple of months now. Today, there was another member of staff who looked as if she couldn’t be bothered and we were the only customers.. The people I’ve taken there say they would never go back.

We were drawn in by the smell of bread, and enjoyed their amazing bread during our visit. We ordered some sandwiches ahead to take on the train, and while others were making do with whatever from the catering cart, we were chowing down on cheddar and chutney on granary bread. Thanks, Loafley!

Popped in for a take away cake, Black Forest cupcake, big, chocolatey, lovely kirsh filling topped with fresh cream & a fresh cherry! Perfect!

Stopped for something to take away. Hard to choose as everything looked inviting. Took away some potato salad, fresh rolls, raspberry tart (unbelievably tasty) and hummingbird cake. Returned the following day for a top up

Popped in for a loaf of bread and ended up buying a lot more than I expected. Full of great cakes and cheese. They also do a fantastic cup of coffee. There is a small courtyard garden with tables out the back.

After breakfast at The Moorings we called in here to buy sourdough bread. There was a lovely selection of cakes so we popped a few in a box to bring home. So glad we did they were delicious! Another reason to return to Tenby!

Used Google to search for nearby cake shops and it found this little gem. Great selection of cakes and has a little outside seating area in the sun.

We ordered Welsh rarebit quiche, Portuguese tart, ginger and rhubarb cake; it was delicious! The coffee was really lovely too. The ladies behind the counter were so friendly and helpful.

My husband and I ordered the soup with a delicious fresh roll, all for only £7! Fantastic value for a magnificent meal. Lovely, friendly staff.

I love visiting Loafley whenever I’m in Tenby, they do the best bread & cakes plus excellent coffee! Can’t recommend enough. My favourite is the sourdough & Bakewell tart!

Food was lovely, bought a sandwich made fresh in front of us and the potato salad and chickpea salad were both fresh and tasty. Also bought homemade bread which was lush. Would definitely recommend.

I had preordered a cake to pick up for my partners 30th birthday. We aren’t from the area and we’re visiting on holiday. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I picked the cake up today and it is the nicest cake I’ve ever had. So soft, and tasty. AMAZING!!

Popped in while exploring Tenby earlier today. Had a couple of really nice flat whites to take away with a rhubarb and almond tart, and a lemon and blueberry tea cake. Both cakes were delicious! The lady serving was also very friendly, and you can tell it’s got a very loyal local following. Very impressed.

After a very long walk we happened on this gem of a place. Lovely service with great tea and coffee and fantastic choice of cakes which were delicious. The price was very reasonable and worth every penny. Can’t wait to return

All's organic, and has a good choice of breads. friendly service; the coffee was top class, and the Loafley was very tasty! Has a quirky outside, and a pleasant atmosphere, within!

a lovely old building has been transformed into a really nice bakery and deli. Great choices of cheese in addition to everything else, nice things to buy, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated with bits and pieces, well stocked...mmmm

The bread and rolls are the best I have ever tasted. The various quiches, and deli delights are fabulous. Hubby had lime pickle potato salad, wow what a fiery tasty dish. Fab staff also, warm welcome.

The best bread ever. Fresh and crusty. Lasts for ages. Stunning cakes. If in Tenby, this is a must. Do NOT walk passed it.

I called into Loafley to get out of the rain and what a 5 star treat. I sat at a small bar in the window and really enjoyed a delicious Pumpkin Soup, granary bread, a divine chocolate caramel slice and great cup of coffee. There are also tables in an outside courtyard for when the weather is better. Free wi-fi was also available. I would highly recommend and will make this a regular coffee stop in future.

Stopped here for lunch and had the most AMAZING sausage roll. Well worth the price of £2.70 as it's huge. Also highly recommend the lemon and blueberry teacake. It's yummy. Gluten free options also available and space to sit and drink a coffee or enjoy your snack.

Stopped here for a coffee and cake and everything about it was good. Very friendly service whilst we chose our cakes and directed to the delightful rear courtyard garden. It was a windy day but this is sheltered and warm in the sunshine. Cakes were deliciously home-made - we sampled the spicy apple and the raspberry and coconut, both of which were light and moist. Good coffee and tea. Reasonable prices and highly recommended.

My partner and I popped into this gorgeous little bakery and bought two sausage rolls and a fresh loaf for lunch....however we couldn't wait that long and ended up having them for breakfast. They were absolutely delicious and home made. Shall definitely be returning!

I bought a crab roll for my lunch here recently. The roll was soft and fluffy and the filling was extremely generous - well worth the price tag. I later purchased some Welsh goats brie which seemed a little expensive at £3 for 100g but the taste fully justified the cost! There is a lovely hidden courtyard garden for customers to use as well.

We went to this bakery everyday and enjoyed delicious buns and whole grain breads with our fresh seafood. They also have beautiful sweets.

Great looking bakery. We shared one of the humongous sausage rolls and thoroughly enjoyed it. You could tell the ingredients were of a very high standard. We also had a cream scone which was to die for. Delicious and homemade.

The cakes made at Loafley’s are absolutely delicious. Before visiting Pembrokeshire I searched for top quality food shops in the area and Loafley’s website appeared. Great cakes, bread and deli items. Very friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit. We have been twice in two days.....

The apricot shortbread was incredible- my boyfriend says Loafley sausage rolls are the best he’s ever had. This bakery is full of top quality food, coffee and cute gifts. The staff are excellent too. A real gem.

Bought several coffees and cakes/sandwiches last week. Excellent coffee, beautiful freshly made cakes and bread. Very friendly and helpful staff. An ethical business championing local produce and very tasty too. Recommended.

Visited twice on our holiday in the tenby area. Cute coffee shop/deli with lots of bits and bobs to see. The first time, the lady who was serving was a bit miserable which was disappointing. A different lady on Thursday who was kind and chatty. Good coffee though and reasonably priced. Nice to see coffee shops like this near the seaside. :)

A pleasant surprise to walk in for a loaf of bread and find so much lovely food . The lady behind the counter was most helpful and gave me a slice of cheese to try which I promptly bought . The cakes are delicious . Needless to say , I bought much more than a loaf . Highly recommended . A* all round .

I went rather late in the day so instead of a filled roll i opted for the largest, meatiest, tastiest, largest, no in fact, hugest sausage roll I have ever seen or eaten.

Popped in for some delicious fresh bread, it was beautiful. I will be back soon for cake & coffee - looking forward to the opening of the outside seating area.

After eating lunch at The Mooring we decided to visit Loafley for cakes to take away. It’s a really lovely shop selling nice looking foods and sourdough bread (very tempting!). We bought a chocolate brownie and an Oreo cupcake to have back at our holiday appartment. The brownie was delicious but we found the cupcake a little dry which was a shame.

We stumbled across this gem when visiting Tenby. The staff were very, very nice. With a huge variety of food and drink. We were spoilt for choice. So we bought some slices of cake and some seeded bread. Which were delicious. We only found out today that it has a sister restaurant- which we would have attended if we knew! Absolutely perfect

The cafe offers a wide variety or cakes, puddings and savoury snacks as well as hot drinks. Alongside this they sell lots of fresh food such as breads, cheese and meats, as well as lots of Italian foods like pasta, etc.

Popped in here looking for a yummy homemade treat, there was plenty to choose from and the lady behind the counter gave her recommendations. I decided on a coconut and passionfruit slice..... It was literally the greatest thing I've ever eaten. Ever.

We were really looking forward to buying some fresh bread for breakfast from Loafleys as its website said it was open at 8. In fact it opened at 0930 every day we were there...so we had to go to Greggs instead. What a pity!When we did make it in for lunch supplies the food was excellent and service was wonderful.

Extremely happy that we found this bakery in Tenby. Buying their bread secured an excellent start of the day. We had both the brown and the white home made breads - straight from the oven! A little late opening hours (9.30) but goes well when in a holiday mode☀️They sell also various deli products as well as home mode cakes.

Great selection of breads, cakes, etc and drinks with a lovely deli range too! Great flavour, quality and choice. Far better than it's chain rivals in the town! Well worth a visit for something savory, sweet or just your daily loaf!
