Went here for the funeral wake of a relative, found the staff very friendly and respectful, can't comment on rooms etc as it didn't apply, but there was a large carpark, a lovely garden, and bar, the place was lovely and clean, based on that, if I was visiting the area, I would definitely stay there.

Rooms are little dated, but it doesn't detract anything from they stay. It's nice to not have standard coperate. Food is amazing, portions maybe a little on the small side but made up for with taste. All the staff are super friendly and seem to actually care how you're stay is.

I can't comment on the rooms but we held a funeral wake there recently. They supplied a lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes with someone serving tea and coffee and assisting with coats. They looked after us very well.

Really friendly staff that are willing to go the extra mile. From the owner to the kitchen staff the cleaning ladies and the bar staff they are all dedicated to their work. Well done and a big thank you for looking after Irene and me for almost 3 months while we got over our initial shock after being flooded out our flat for the second time in four years. And thank you for always making us feel welcome. You're simply the best

A fantastic hotel with ample parking at the rear. Absolutely loved this place and wished I had stayed here for the entirety of my stay in Bicester. The staff were cheerful, helpful and very friendly. I had the turkey roast dinner and broccoli soup for my evening meal, it was good, wholesome home cooked food; the best meal I'd had during my 2 week stay in town. The ambience and traditional atmosphere of the hotel took me back to when I was a kid on family holidays, absolutely perfect. It was also a first to see Lambs navy rum, Woods Navy Rum and Pussers Rum all in the same bar. The full English breakfast and filter coffee set me up for most of the day, the beef salad sandwiches prepeared for me to take to work took care of the rest. The beef was real roasted beef, not from a packet. Hopefully I'll get more work in Bicester, I know exactly where I will be staying from now on. Thanks Michael and Staff for such a pleasant stay. I stayed overnight on Saturday 24th August 2024. I was on the first floor in room 27. I had a single room with a single bed. The room was long and narrow but that wasn't a negative. It meant that I had more room than the average single room. I am slightly disabled and there is no lift at the hotel. However, when I checked in the young Ukrainian lady behind the counter noted that I used a crutch and had no hesitation in taken my quite heavy suitcase upstairs to my room. That enabled me to hobble up the stairs without the hinderance of trying to lug a suitcase upstairs whilst using a crutch. That was good service and a doff of the hat to the young lady for volunteering without hesitation to help me. I attended a function in the town and later returned at around 23:00 and went to the bar to get a drink. They had a karaoke type act on with people dancing etc. The place was very busy, it being a Saturday evening and a bank holiday weekend. The bar was very busy and after waiting for around 5 minutes my legs began to ache and I gave up as I couldn't stand anymore. I went and sat down at a table. Shortly afterwards the lady serving behind the bar came around through reception and asked me if I would like a drink. I ordered a half of Guinness and managed to now get to the bar and paid by swipe card as the Guinness was settling. The lady said she would bring the drink around to my table, which she did. Once again, excellent service from somebody who had noticed I wasn't very mobile. I didn't get her name but she was working with an older man behind the bar and had reddish hair. I won't mention her age but she wasn't 21. Yet again, a pat on the back for excellent, beyond the normal level of service. Breakfast: Excellent. It starts at 08:00 at the weekend and me and a friend arrived five minutes early. Prompt service again. The lady who served us was chatty and served us at the table, no help yourself buffet here. Breakfast was good. One of everything and more than enough to fill you up. I reckon that the bacon, eggs and sausage were locally sourced and not supermarket fodder. She warned us about the plates being very hot and they were! However that kept our food warm for the duration. I have marked the accommodation down as four star because the place is in need of a major refurbishment. I stayed here about 35 years ago and the place is still the same. Jaded brown 80s style furniture with cheap, shoddy looking gold coloured wall plates for the electrical sockets (Of which there are plenty) but no USB ports anywhere. Tough if you forget your USB charging plug. The TV was quite old at around 13 years of age. I have a similar TV in my man cave. However it was on a wall bracket that could be swivelled through 180 degrees so it could be viewed from either the bed or the desk. That was good and it was adequate. The bed though was extremely comfortable. Great mattress, great pillows (Two, which I like) and a lovely soft duvet. I slept like a log and woke naturally at around 06:00. There was no air conditioning in the room which could be a problem in the summer when hot although a fan was provided. There were three pin sockets by the bed so at least the fan could be by the bed if required. The hotel is on the edge of the town centre, about 400 yards away, so an easy walk to the local fleshpots. So, overall a good experience. It is however in serious need of a refurb. Would I stay again? Yes I would as the staff, the bed, the location and the breakfast were excellent.

Went for Mother’s Day. Service slow, rude inexperienced staff. Teenagers swearing and lounging around the pub. Used to be a proper dining experience but not anymore. Average £10 for starters and £25 for mains is steep. Had to keep getting up to find staff to get a drink. White wine was warm and again £9 for 175ml is high and would have expected it to be served at the right temperature. Food was tasty but the atmosphere and staff made it way overpriced as an eating venue. So many better places to go now. Save your money and go somewhere else. It says a lot when they bring the bill and knock off drinks cost and charge no service fee without saying anything. Maybe the owner should be there to oversee their business failing and do something about it.

I was looking for a local workspace that would provide a co-working environment and Bloxham Mill was the perfect solution. The Hive is such a friendly space and you always end up talking to people next to you or when you grab a tea of coffee. The staff are amazing and always around to help, whether it's organising a meeting room or greeting clients when they first arrive. There is also a fast and reliable internet connection, kitchen area and outdoor space - which is perfect to sit at after buying a coffee at The Barrow coffee shop. I started out just coming for a day a week and now I'm here everyday!
