Disgusting food when I complained she told me I was a fing bas&£)/do not buy from this restaurant it’s disgusting food inedible and the woman is a nasty piece of work who does not stand by her product totally unacceptable

Absolutely disgusting! Microwaved infront of me and sweet chill sauce on top of jerk chicken when asked for jerk sauce

I ordered a Jerk chicken meal this evening. It was v disappointing. The chips were cold and not fresh. The Jerk chicken was days old. Simply reheated and the rice and peas. The coleslaw did not even look like coleslaw. So I could not touch that. It too was v old food. The demand for fast food has created a decline in the standards of food presentation and customer service.

Terrible food I went in yesterday got oxtail rice m peas...the oxtail was overly salty and only got three small pieces of meat n a little bit of rice and it tasted like it was a few days old awful won't go there again..I shud of realised that after the takeaway I got a few months was nasty

I was on a trip too Police training academy, for the day, I came across this takeaway shop. The lady was so warm n helpful, had a chat and laugh, the curried goat was beautiful, big portions, n love. I travelled back 2 London, belly full n happy, will visit again, in a few weeks, as I'm in area again... Sorry doesn't compare with, London, or home cooking, I enjoyed meeting the happy lady, n was hungry, upon thinking about it, sorry wasn't nothing special

Never again will I go to this place! By far the worst carribean I have ever had! avoid!

Ordered previously and the food was ok but not great just gone to order today and the price is between £7 and £9 for peppered steak hahahah absolutely ridiculously priced

Great delivery service food was very bad! The soup was more watery than water with a dumpling and quarter of a potato chucked in ew, My main meal was overly salty and My chicken split was just rank and the cakes were stale. Basically I wasted more than £20 on food from this so-called Caribbean food place!!! Lesson learned read reviews first and I won't be buying from this place ever again. The one star is for delivery only and not any part of the food.

Straight in the bin. The worst food I've ever had. £8 for fried chicken rice an peas. The chicken was just bits of cut offs thrown in. no fried skin to be seen and then chopped up bones? The rice was bland completely tasteless and swapped in oily gravy. The chips had been recooked over an over again in some old chicken oil they were disgusting. The dumplin was like a rock. I wish i looked at the reviews here first. Save your money and go else where not to mention the food was over an hour late.

Firstly, this review is about offering meaningful feedback. The customer service and speed of delivery was good. The quality of food could be much improved if there was a change to the cook. The packaging for the food perhaps needs to be rethinked. FOOD PACKAGING Upon opening the foil, which was wrapped around the food containers, it was filled with oil and gravy. One tub of coleslaw wasn't sealed properly, which resulted in spillage. FOOD The rice and peas was nice. The curried goat wasn't fully cooked and it was salty. The plantains were overcooked. We ordered 4 tubs of coleslaw and received 3. We had read reviews and still decided to give this takeaway a try. Unless the owner starts to consider the feedback that is evidently consistent, I fear the potential of this business won't be realised.

The food?? Hmm - just nasty. Everything went straight into the bin next to their shop. We were also PASSING THROUGH and it was the worst decision to stop at Lisa’s. The best thing on their menu was the drinks, not surprisingly though because they weren’t made by them 🥴 You can get better food from Asda and put it in oven 100% because their chef is either blind or has no taste buds whatsoever. Everyone stay away from this place - those reviews are here for a reason.

Surprisingly from reading other reviews they seem to use a lot of salt so they decided to now use no salt and serve bland food how can you mess up Mac n cheese ,portion was abysmal. Patties are frozen how do I know because they don’t know how to defrost them !!! I was served a Pattie that was still cold in the middle WASTE of money !!! Avoid avoid !!!! Ruin max and cheese and can’t even defrost properly wouldn’t touch their main meals after my first and last visit.

Newly moved into the area and best friend and I decided to order some good Caribbean hearty food. Highly disappointed as the delivery time was not quite what I expected. However to my horror, the dumpling looks old and unedable. In addition the main meal was very overly salty and lacked flavour. Unfortunately I will not be ordering from here again

Stopped by. Had a goat curry and plantain. Took some pasties home. The food was delicious and the service was very fast. I work within restaurant industry for many years, and I do often find faults in food. But not in this place. I am literary confused from where are all the negative reviews are coming.

I saw the abundance of bad reviews for Lisa's Caribbean Kitchen and felt I had to defend it - having eaten from LCK's a few times (albeit always via delivery). Caribbean food is hard to come by in Prestwich, so I don't have a list of places to compare it to. But my experience has been totally different to those of the bad reviews. The food is tasty and well portioned; I don't know about the microwaving but I think that's the norm for some Caribbean counter-heated food (patties etc) -- and my Jerk Chicken has never tasted / appeared to be re-heated? It was well cooked / seasoned on the bone and complimented by tasty rice & peas & what looked like cooling homemade coleslaw. I was once told that good Caribbean food can't be rushed, and it'll come when it comes - which is what I've stuck by. It's reasonably priced and the menu is varied and authentic. While we should always be mindful of the food we eat, I feel the reviews here are harsh - or rare instance and don't truly reflect what it's like.

Worst thing known to man microwaved everything ruined my day went to a Caribbean for some real food and it’s straight out the microwave feel sick off 2 bites not even tasting the nuclear wings absolutely awful please never go there truly disgusted

The food we received was nice but they use Just Eat as an ordering and delivery service and there is a problem with the menu. If you order Jerk Chicken from the extras menu then a list of further options also comes up which includes lamb. I ordered the chicken and the lamb but only received the chicken because they don't do the lamb even though you are able to choose it. You don't actually pay for what you don't receive but nonetheless you are expecting it and are disappointed when it doesn't arrive. On speaking to the takeaway they explained that the issue is with Just Eat and not themselves. I find this totally unacceptable. Lisa's Caribbean Kitchen uses Just Eat and is therefore the client. It is not acceptable to wash their hands of it if there is a problem with Just Eat.

i dont know why people give this a bad review, its delicious, its how jamaican/caribbean food should be, i'm thinking some people might not be familiar with this kind of food, i grew up eating jamaican food and i found no fault with this food,i will be ordering again.

I hate giving bad reviews but I wasn’t very disappointed with the food I got today. First of all the food was very cold , the plantain was really hard and dry , I ordered oxtails I only had 2 pieces of meat which is really not worth the price I paid . I won’t be ordering from this place again and I wouldn’t advice anyone too to be honest. Please do better .

This is an embarrassment to Caribbean food, over priced delivery, delivery guy kept saying speak to just eat when I ordered via telephone, used too much brown sugar in the jerk everything was too sweet and the pattys were neon yellow and inedible, if you want halal Caribbean food go to Caribbean flavas in salford

Just got food from here and it was not nice, cold stew chicken, and the gravey it was salty beyond belief. My partner had curried goat that was salty too, not curry goat gravy goat. Not good.

Just got a peppered steak and it was horrible the worst thing I’ve eaten I wouldn’t even give it my dog

Really hate to leave negative reviews. First time trying this place. Unfortunately the food was quite dry and cold. The chicken patties were the only thing that had flavour to them. I’m not sure if most of what we ordered had just been left there all day from being cooked in the morning. Really wanted to like this place but don’t think I will be back or recommend:(

Asked for large oxtail rice and peas.. all I was given was 2 pieces of meat and a potatoe

spent £30 buying myself my sister and niece dinner and the food was very poor- literally nothing could be eaten, I tried this place on recommendation as I usually stick to what I know to avoid disappointment. I wish the business the best of luck but i wont be buying from there again

I ordered Cornflake Pie, Chicken split and a beef patty. The dumpling for the chicken split was very small and didn’t look anything like the sizes shown on the pics on the website. The chicken split was very tasty so I give them that. The cornflake pie was very sweet, but it’s how it should be and just how I remember from school. The beef patty was again just how I remember from years ago.

Curry goat was too salty for me. Not sure if the seasoning had been toned down for customer base but I could only taste salt. Also the meat wasn't great there was more bone that meat. The rice and peas was made really nice I could taste the cocunut. I may try the chicken and give them a second chance

Goat curry is amazing. Slightly too many bones but tasted divine. If you want tasty then worth a bash. Try the pattys as a side - the saltfish was gone in minutes.

Patties are the star of the show

Went in to collect Curried Goat, Rice and Mac and Cheese having ordered once before and was impressed. However, consistency is not their strong point, especially if the elderly lady is serving you. She literally scraped the rice from the sides and bottom of the pan and gave us days old brown stew not curried goat. As for the Mac and Cheese, it was stone cold despite being microwaved. We won't be returning. If that woman isn't familiar with you or your custom, she'll dish up a dog's dinner. The amount of salt added in the food is enough to send your blood pressure through the roof. I don't agree with the use of the stupid polystyrene boxes either. They are not suitable for liquid food as they leak terribly.

This is the second time I have eaten from this place. I won't be doing so a third time. The curried goat and rice ordered turned out to be brown stew which was awful. Tough, chewy meat and extremely salty. To top it off, it was accompanied with rice that was clearly scraped from the edges and/or bottom of the pan. Rock hard, overcooked, dry grains and clumps of rice hardened together. To add insult to injury the food was wrapped in used aluminium foil. Disgusting!

Simply one of the best Caribbean takeaways around.

Disgusting portions curry goat was mutten there was more bones that meat curry chicken was chunks of chicken breast dumplings full of sugar and microwaved wartery curry plantings banana service terrible we felt intimidated when we rang to complain we were verbally abused by the owner Lisa’s daughter STAY WELL CLEAR sunrise on braughton lane salford is 100% better value better food/menu and ALLWAYS comes with a smile go there that Lisa’s is the Pitts ,,!,!

Read the few reviews but thought I’d try for myself, staff were funny & my food was hot & nice, yes the food was warmed in a microwave the same as any Caribbean shop or the same as at home lol

£6 for 1 piece of fried chicken and cold rice. Bin. Go to Peppers in Moston instead

The delivery was really, really late. Apparently the girl delivering couldn't find the house and went back to the shop rather then call. The food was good though and they weren't rude hence the 4 star and not the 1 star I was thinking of giving when my stomach was rumbling away.

Good authentic Caribbean food. The plantain is SO nice 👏🏾 really good portion sizes too!

Very very very dissapointing, very ignorant, unresponsive and rude on the phone. I ordered chicken curry and rice, when it arrived neither was it chicken or curry, it was a brown meat with minimal amounts of gravy. Think it was beef, either way it was cold and dry. I ordered a chicken split which was basically a freezing cold dumplin that had been ripped open and a few strips of chicken in the middle, absolutely drowned in mayonnaise, when they didnt even tell me it was gonna have mayo on, never mind swimming in it. My other two dumplins was stone cold. Overall, expensive and very very poor food, not even the quality of food, just the preperation and ignorance, by getting orders wrong and them being cold. The 1 stars generous i am fuming

We ordered here just after 4pm and asked in the comments if the food could arrive before half past 5 as my partner had to go to work and it’s his birthday! Food came about 5:20 so thankfully on time. Delivery driver was lovely however when we got the food into the house there were 4 x patties missing which were £6 in total. Rang and advised that she would get them sent out again, lady was nice on the phone however they didn’t come until just before 7pm! Nothing free thrown in as an apology and quite frankly not good enough if you want to keep customers. Partner ordered the patties to take to work, as he had to leave at 6pm he had to go out and spend more money to go and buy food for work. Patties are now sat there not opened. What a shame as the food that was sent was ok but put off due mistakes like these

Was dubious about some reviews but pregnant girlfriend really fancied caribbean and this was closest so went for it. Person behind counter wasn't too happy or attentive but there were a few people picking up orders so looked promising. Some of the food was microwaved before wrapping and given to us, the curried goat and jerk chicken tasted ok however the next day chaos. I have never been so bad, doubled up and missed a few meetings. Checked with my girlfriend - she was ok. Couple of hours later, she nearly exploded while driving and now bad. She's never experienced issue like this. I rang shop to complain who brushed it off saying it couldn't be their food. Yet this was the only food we had shared in over a week so unlikely to be anything else. I wouldn't go back nor recommend this place.

Great menu but poorly cooked. Everything sits out for hours then they put it in the microwave before they package it. I ordered jerk chicken and told them on 3 occasions NOT to cut it up and NOT to microwave it but they don't listen....

Just finished my ackee and saltfish - absolutely delicious. Spot on and great service too.

Ordered a chicken split. The food was tasty, but she microwaved the dumpling and it was a tiny portion. Can't comment on the main meals though
