Li’s Chinese Takeaway in East Hertfordshire

No good. Diarrhea for a week after a tasteless takeaway from here. Takes ages.

Regular customer since moving to Ware in 2021 and the food is great, have never had any issues with the quality. Staff are polite on the phone, the delivery drivers are also polite. Prices are reasonable and they offer free delivery if you're within a certain radius (which I am). Much better than their local competition

Now I know why I haven’t used Li,s for a while. The food did not taste good at all. I can cook better chips than the ones they sent me. Certainly not worth the money these days. Never again.

Ordered from here last night whole family is ill I phoned up and was told nobody else had called food was definitely not fresh never will I order again.

Shocking customer service from ‘manager’, overcharged me for items I didn’t receive and then refused to compensate for the items that was not received. Do not recommend to ANYONE

Consistently a good takeaway, cooked quickly and is always hot when I come to collect. Delivery is also quick and is also hot. Portion sizes are good and reasonably priced!

Avoid at all costs , we were missing 2 items from our order which they claimed we never ordered , but yet they had charged for one of them ! They claimed that the website online is not their website and the prices were not their prices and someone else had put them on there !! Even though I had a menu in front of me saying the same !! Really rude on the phone , have been visiting here for a while , never again !!!

Not cooked like it is at home, but it looked worthy of a try.

Spent fifty quid on a takeaway tonight took nearly two hours to get to me , did not receive my drinks and as for the chicken fried rice it was basically egg fried rice where was the chicken ??? I am a regular customer and very very disappointed with what I have received tonight

Always had good food from this takeaway . Just remember to check the order as sometimes one of the items hadn't been put in the bag

Rather disappointing. Loaded with sugar and salt but tasted of very little.

Amazing great tasting Chinese I have had in a while

great food. However I don't understand why you have a policy of people wearing a mask if you don't enforce it. Customer came into takeaway without mask and there is a sign on the door asking customers who do not wear a mask to remain outside. She was not challenged by any staff . Extremely annoying. Makes me think twice about using you again.disappointing It made me feel very unsafe.

Some days the food is better than others

Have used this Chinese many times in the past without any issue. Tonight our food seemed reheated from frozen (stir fry tofu black and hard as a brick), vegetables horrible in yellow bean sauce. Vegetable chop suey soft, sauce like jelly. No hoisin sauce provided with pancakes, cucumber had been out for ages, spring onion dried out. Mini spring rolls (free due to value) were inedible, disgusting and soft. Most of it went in the bin... Very expensive, will most certainly not be using again.

Did not enjoy the food, usually good not tonight.

Had takeaway last night, it was excellent. So hot when we opened it , it was delicious. Have used this service before and will use it again

Very friendly and quick service. Reasonably priced and well cooked. Very impressed with the free prawn crackers and vegetable spring rolls!

Had a lovely Chinese, food was delish, we had a delivery, food was on time and hot. Friendly staff and friendly delivery driver.. will definitely use again

Fantastic food, delivered hot and best Chinese experienced in Ware. Yes delivery was a little later than advised, however made up for with the food quality and we look forward to coming back again!

I don’t know why there are so many bad reviews, this is a wonderful chinese. I have tried different Chinese shops all around Hertfordshire. This one is by far the best. In particular, the chicken in ginger and spring onion, satay chicken, dumplings, garlic and chilli prawns and chicken and Sweetcorn soup are absolutely superb. The only think I wouldn’t order from them is Aromatic Duck. But if you have any problems, just call them and they will sort it out very quickly. They are sometimes, but very rarely, late for delivery but they are more then happy to tell you how long it will be if you call. Been using Li’s for years, it’s great.

Food nice. Lack of masks being worn by customers waiting, ignoring sign on door. Will not be returning there in a hurry.

Ordered twice from here recently. Took over an hour to arrive both times. Wont be ordering again

I’m not sure who’s been leaving the good reviews, but after our delivery last night both my partner and I are extremely ill. And we only ate a small bit of the appalling food that arrived. The beef had a strange texture and was in some sort of congealed slop of a sauce. The chicken in sweet and sour sauce was coated in far too much greasy batter, the rice had a strange smell with an odd after taste, spring rolls were very greasy, had a bite of the prawn toast and wouldn’t even trust it further considering the state of the rest of it. Best thing we had was the bottle of Pepsi and that was warm. If I could leave no stars I would, only good thing to say was the lady that delivered was lovely. Food was absolute horse sh*te. Steer clear unless you want to get a day off work.

Li's has a great menu and the food is fabulous. It's nice to have a little bit of spice in Chinese food. Li's manage this with the right dishes and without over doing it - perfect!

Very good service friendly staff food is excellent very quick on deliverys, I will recommend people to use thus shop,best chinese takeaway around the area,I'm not from this area but lots of my friends, are,puckeridge,wich I recommend puckerisge comunity to use this shop,you want be disappointed, I given them 5 star,excellent

Ordered last night having not ordered for a while. Food was incredibly bland, chicken texture was like jelly. Real disappointment considering how Li’s used to be! Hopefully it was a one off.....

Food turned up extremely late, missing items and when asked for a refund they just keep saying driver out doing deliveries still waiting for refund at 8.15 and order food at 5.10

We were not pleased with our meal. Quite a few issues with all the items. Did phone and complain, they did help. I would not recommend!

I’m fed up of waiting for an hour to receive a meal I didn’t order. Save your money and cook some toast, you’ll enjoy it more.

Li's deliver out to us in Dane End and i've never had a problem. Great food and comes on time.

Was told an hour for delivery, after 80mins I called to ask what the delay was. They wasn't even sorry and stated it would be another 15mins. In total it Arrived 1h50mins after initial order. Food arrived cold and was sent back.

Take-away ordered sunday 19/6 The order was wrongly delivered, sweet and sour sauce instead of chicken chinese style, rang and it was delivered, a breaded chicken burger on a small bed of noodles and a red sauce which tasted of nothing poured in the middle, it was disgusting. The other two meals were very greasy and put into the bin, the prawn toast was extremely greasy and tasted of nothing but old oil. Will not be ordering again, very disappointed.
