We love this place!! It’s become a staple Friday treat. Their panini’s are so tasty, full of your chosen filling (I always get chicken tikka) and are always ready on time for pick up. The girls are always so friendly and greet you with a smile. Would recommend this cute little restaurant 100%!!

Went for lunch with my husband; greeted by friendly staff who were very helpful. Me and my husband ordered the specials; he had the corner beef pie with side salad and I had the leek & potato soup with a crusty baguette. My soup was so fresh and tasty, and the warm crusty bread was a yummy accompiament. My husband enjoyed his corned beef pie so much that he bought another slice to bring home. The cakes all look delicious; we took home a slice of Victoria sponge & chocolate fudge cake. Will definately be returning!!! 😁👍🏼🥣🥧🍰

Went here for a high tea with several friends. It was excellent. Good variety of cakes and savouries lovely pot of tea replenished several times. Reasonably priced, I've paid far more for less food in other establishments. So much food we were given boxes to take what we couldn't eat home. Would I go there again, yes in a heart beat.

Thought long and hard about not submitting this review but after long reflection decided to do so. Business owners have to take the rough with the smooth and be accountable for how they treat customers. I ordered and paid for some food and drink costing me £4.30, and then asked if I could use the toilet. I was told by the young girl serving that there were public toilets around the corner. I left to go and use those toilets but they were locked. After searching around unsuccessfully for somewhere else to go I had no choice but to go back to the cafe and ask once again if i could use their toilet as i was really desperate. The young lady at the counter said that she would go into the kitchen, which was out the back and out of sight, and ask for me. I presume she asked the boss and/or owner. The same girl came back out and said that I wouldn't be able to use the toilet as it was against 'health and safety' and that they didn't want people using the toilet as they used it for storage. I then asked one more time, assuring her that i needed the toilet for genuine reasons but the answer was the same. I then asked and got my money back and left without eating or drinking and still in real need of a toilet. The girl serving behind the counter was very pleasant and seemed genuinely apologetic. It wasn't her fault. I can't believe though that the person who refused didn't even have the courtesy to come out of the kitchen and tell me to my face. She would have seen my work coat with the local authority insignia on it and the department i work for also written on the coat. Just by looking at me and listening to me surely she would have known that i was a genuine customer with a genuine need. I had already handed over my money after all. It was bad enough that i really needed to go but for all they knew, it could have been exacerbated by a medical condition that I wouldn't have wanted to mention in front of others. (there were two other customers there by the counter) such as having a stoma bag that needing emptying... recovering from illness and being prone to accidents e.t.c ....there could have been a whole load of important reasons. To quote health and safety as a reason to refuse me use of the toilet seems to be a bit of a get out clause/excuse not to do the right thing. Its such an ambiguous thing to say. Also, I'm not sure if using the toilet for storage is conducive to a good health and safety policy anyway!! A bit of a contradiction there. The cafe may have been legally within their rights to refuse but what about ethically/morally....doing the decent, human thing. It has backfired anyway as they have lost a potential regular customer in me, not to mention the fact that i have spoken to many other people about what happened, and now this bad review here.

Really lovely lunch during my first visit here. It was a hot day and my four month old was particularly grumpy. A staff member gave me a jug of water with ice to cool down his bottle quicker when he was hungrier sooner than I'd anticipated. The tea room is so beautifully decorated. It has a cottage core vibe and is just so pretty. They sell hot and cold drinks, ice cream, cakes, scones and hot and cold food. I had the cheese and onion melt, which was divine. I also bought a piece of cake to take home - it was hard to choose between the cakes on offer, as they all looked so good. Great, friendly staff and good food with decent portion sizes. We didn't look in the shop but I plan to go back soon for lunch, so will have a look then. Also there are toilets outside with baby changing facilities.
