Lily Tandoori in Hammersmith and Fulham

A good old-fashioned curry house. Nothing fancy, but some decent curries. The veggie ones are especially good.

Brilliant, best tandoori around locally. Have ordered many times from here and has always been excellent quality and arrived quickly.

No pidas de este restaurante. Lamentablemente pedimos de este restaurante y nuestra noche se ha arruinado. La comida no estaba empacada correctamente, las tapas de los contenedores no están selladas. Como resultado, un curry de cordero se filtró por toda la otra comida, por lo que no solo nos quedamos sin un curry que habíamos pedido y pagado, nuestra mesa y piso estaban cubiertos de salsa de curry. Llamé al restaurante y me dijeron que era culpa del conductor y que básicamente se había perdido. Puedo decir honestamente que nunca he experimentado tanta indiferencia ante un problema tan grande con la entrega. No podría decir cómo la comida sabía tan tristemente que la otra comida era un desastre que no podía ser rescatada.

Nous avons laissé carte blanche au chef qui nous a préparé un excellent repas avec un excellent rapport qualité prix (il a pris en compte le fait que nous soyons deux étudiants). Nous recommandons vivement ce restaurant !

Don’t usually leave 5 stars, however, the staff were so friendly and efficient that I felt I had too!! The food was great with a good selection and all very tasty Well worth a visit !!

If you are looking for a restaurant to satisfy your Indian fix you can do better than Lily Tandoori. I ordered lamb samosas, chicken tikka mossala, pilau rice and naan. Everything was average except for the naan which was excellent - melt in your mouth good. There are so many choices for Indian restaurants that you don't have to try Lily Tandoori.

The food at The Lily was lovely. We had chicken korma and pilau rice with chicken pakora. The korma was so lovely and creamy and the deliver was quick and it was hot

Live nearby and have gotten take-away from this place twice. Both times me and my partner have been very happy with our orders. Always quick delivery and food is delicious. Would definitely recommend and will order from here again.

Llamamos aquí por casualidad al anochecer para una comida. El personal fue muy amable y acogedor. El servicio fue rápido.El pollo tikka entrante era sabroso y el keema aloo principal era picante y una gran porción. Los bhajis de cebolla estaban sabrosos pero un poco secos. . . aunque un poco de salsa de menta rectificó eso. El personal continuamente verificó que estábamos bien y la interacción fue excelente. Te sentías como un visitante habitual. Sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en la zona.

Vi havde store forventninger til stedet. Og da vi kom kom jeg til at sige at jeg elskede spicy indisk mad. Tjeneren svarede at hvis jeg ønskede indisk kunne jeg skride over på en indisk restaurant. Han var fra Bangladesh. Hvis ikke det var for at vi havde et, stramt program var vi skredet. Decideret uhøflig betjening. Vi måtte bede om at blive serveret af en anden tjener. Så uprofessionelt. Very good traditional Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant. Food was as good as any I have tasted at a UK curry house - at the right price. Thoroughly recommended.

Bestilte Tikka Masala og ba om å få den Medium Plus, men servitøren anbefalte Medium heller. (?) Ekstremt mild rett som ikke falt i smak hos oss dessverre. Hyggelige servitører, men mye kluss. Kommer ikke til å dra der igjen.

Desde 2005, hemos estado yendo a este lugar por un buen curry antes de Navidad, y este lugar ha seguido ofreciendo lo mejor en servicio y calidad de los alimentos.

The staff was really friendly and helpful since we were not very familiar with the Indian cuisine. The place is very small but the atmosphere was nice and service really quick for a Saturday night. Would return.

Was looking for a good indian restaurant in the area but this turned out to be another Bangladeshi restaurant posing to be indian. Horrible food and the owner was convincing me that this is how all Indian restaurants are in London. Never again

The best Indian Bangladeshi food we’ve tasted, the spices and flavour are second to none, the waiting staff were brilliant at recommending dishes to suit everyone’s taste, even to going out of their way to create dishes that weren’t even on the menu, just to suit personal tastes.

after walking around the block, looking for a place to have dinner, we crossed Lillie Road and stood in front of a small Indian restaurant. Hesitating between Indian and pub food, we just took the chance, and entered. Lucky us, there was one table left (except for the 2 small tables in the centre). If a scent can be an omen, it llooked very good here. My wife tried the bhuna dishes, I conservatively tried the vindaloo, with garlic and plain nan, and dahl tarka. It was delicious, all of it! And Dracula didn't have a chance afterwards, we must have pread a frightening garlic smell, but with a happy feeling (in our stomach) we walked the 200 meters to the hotel, mmmmm

We were craving Indian food for dinner and Lily Tandoori was located near our hotel. The restaurant was busy when we arrived and we were lucky to get a table for 5. We ordered various dishes including butter chicken, chicken tikka, chana masala and garlic naan. Everything was delicious and everyone enjoyed their choices. Our server was attentive and friendly so the whole experience was very enjoyable. Located on Lillie road in Fulham. This is a good choice for dinner.

This is a cozy little restaurant which serves Indian /Bangladeshi food.food is really good .we ate there twice and both times we really enjoyed our meal.a good place if you want some quite time.the place is not too busy.would definitely recommend this place

Staying at Chelsea fc hotel day before my wedding day I looked at all the Indian restuarant reviews and this ticked the boxes on all aspects! We had an enjoyable evening ! Food was great , service was very good and the price was very good value! Bruce the owner is a loyal Fulham fan but I will definetly being returning for a meal after chelsea games! Well done for a lovely evening Bruce and staff!

Mi novio y yo estábamos visitando Londres. Nuestro hotel estaba cerca y vinimos a comer aquí. ¡Buena comida! El propietario es realmente muy agradable. (Además del camarero que teníamos). Vimos al propietario manejar un incidente con un cliente muy delicado y hostil (estaba molesta porque su helado estaba frío y congelado) con una clase y amabilidad excepcionales. Nos encantó la comida! Ambos somos vegetarianos, y había mucho para elegir. Volvimos dos días después, en nuestra última noche. Volveremos en nuestro próximo viaje a Londres! Gracias. :)

We eat a lot of Indian food. Everywhere we travel we have to have it at least once per trip. My husband also cooks his own. We had the Chicken Tikka Masala which is something we have had over a hundred times. At Lily It tasted more like a coconut curry. It was very different than any other. It was disappointing. They did not seem to have enough servers so it was really slow.

We were staying in the Holiday Inn Express Earls Court and we found this restaurant near our Hotel. This is a nice restaurant with friendly staff, in particular, the owner who greets the guests and take care of the customers. He even advises us his suggestions and combinations. I will visit again this restaurant as I told the owner when we left this place last time.

The title sums it really. Popped in for a quick pre-football match meal & found the staff freindly & welcoming & they made sure we had some beers at our table quickly. I haven't had a vegetable biryiani for some time but have to say this particular one was delicious.

Booked a table of 10 for a birthday meal on a Monday fully expecting to be the only customers, WRONG, place was rammed so were glad we booked. Ordered and the food came quickly & professionally and then it became apparant why it was so busy on a Monday evening. Nothing fancy, no fusion food going on here, but what they do they do extraordinarily well.

Dropped in here as we were staying in the area. Read the good reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Food and service both top notch. Well worth a visit.

I happened upon this restaurant while staying the at the Holiday Inn Express which is just around the corner. It's a great place - nice ambience, intimate seating, fantastically fresh, delicious and well-prepared food, friendly staff and great service, and finally, a massive surprise when the bill landed ! Very good value. Highly recommend.

I haven’t visited this restaurant for some months and was greeted like a long lost friend! The food is probably the best in this part of London and is always reliable having eaten there off and on for the best part of 30 years! So yummy!!!

Little Indian place across from the hotel... before entering had no expectations... we walk in and we see a beautifully presented restaurant, so warm and inviting.... then the food came along and blew all my expectations out of the water. By far the best Indian curry I’ve had in England and I’ve been to quite a few Indian restaurants. Must must must visit! Would put pictures up, but the food was hoovered before I got the chance to take a picture! Added note... the service absolutely impeccable! I accidentally spilt a glass of wine, THEY were apologetic and brought me a new glass as soon as the table was cleaned... fantastic service and quite understanding of my clumsiness.

We stayed in London for 5 nights at dined in the restaurant 4 of the 5 evenings.

La bienvenida fue cálida, nos sentamos rápidamente y nuestra orden tomada. Desafortunadamente, eso fue lo mejor que se consiguió. La comida llegó en 15 minutos, mi plato de pollo estaba insípido y sentí que el pollo y la salsa se habían cocinado por separado y luego recalentados antes de servirlos en platos fríos. Los platos también estaban fríos. Mi compañero pidió carne madras, también dijo que era sosa. El pan de nan era agradable pero pequeño y el arroz pilau era agradable y fragante. En general, el servicio era bueno, pero la comida no valía la pena el dinero.

Étant à l’hotel Ibis juste à côté, j’y suis aller avec ma maman car on ne savait pas où manger. Une petite pépite ! Le patron est super gentil, mon anglais est bon mais si on rajoute la traduction des épices ça devenait compliqué, du coup il nous a gentillement aidé. Les plats étaient DÉLICIEUX, le vindaloo était parfait, très épicé, l’autre plat aussi avec le riz parfaitement assaisonné. Le seul point faible a été le cheese naan, il y avait un peu de fromage « gratiné» mais pas le cheese naan que je connais ! En tout cas je le recommande a 100% et j’y retournerai c’est sur !

Visited around 9.00pm for a quick meal having just arrived in London. Very quiet when we arrived but gradually filled up. Excellent prawn Bhutan an lamb dopiaza washed down with a cobra. Naan breads particularly good, freshly baked and fluffy.

Delicious and rich indian/bangladeshi food. The senior manager Mr Awal gave fabulous recommendations and was super nice and honest about how much food to order for our group. Ambience is cosy. We were even given hot towels and chocolates at the end which is a first!!

So here's this restaurant that has had a lot of positive reviews for the service. We liked this place because the prices were reasonable, there was plenty of space, there was a decent amount of patrons being served and the service was sufficient for our needs. The vegetable biryani was nice as well as the tandoori roti but the vegetable jalfriezi had mostly potatoes and a few cauliflowers instead of a variety of vegetables. Next time I'll be sure to ask for the ingredients used in the dishes.

Saturday night and busy but service was good and prompt. All 4 of us enjoyed the food. Large menu selection. Reasonable drinks prices.

I have very fond memories of the excellent Lily Tandoori from when I was still a student at King's College London and UCL. Suffice to say it is still as good. The service is spot on, the food is quite simply awesome, and the atmosphere is as charming as ever. Very highly recommended indeed!

We visit this restaurant a lot because we like Indian food and it is local. It is always busy and there is a good atmosphere. The attention of the Manager is very good. The food can vary a little from very good to not quite on the spot.

We ordered a few dishes. almost all of them were sweet - including the korma. for some reason they add sugar to indian dishes. the flavours were very mild and designed for non-Indian palates. service was bit slow.

Ate here last night by chance as the restaurant we were heading to was hopelessly overbooked. Service was quick and efficient and all the staff were very personable. I had the vegetarian thali, which had a good range of dishes and flavours. My partner had the vegetarian biryani, which she thought was a little bland and lacked a good range of fresh veg. Well priced and overall left happy with our meal.

El Lilly abrió sus puertas en 1962. Es en gran medida la misma. Sirve comida británica clásica india en el mismo estilo. Tiene una calidad intemporal y se siente como si estuvieras atrás en el tiempo, a una época cuando la comida india clásica se sirve en estilo.

This is a very nice place, friendly reception and good food. Reasonable space to sit, with comfortable chairs. It’s a busy restaurant, so don’t plan to stay all night but that’s not a bad thing. Overall, a nice place to eat at a reasonable price.

This is a good value restaurant at the edge of Fulham just down from the Ibis Earls Court. The menu has quite a bit of vegetarian food on it. Some of the specials are very good value as they include rice. Service was very good...

The curry here is well nice at a decent price too! Efficient staff and nice decor in restaurant, however toilets are pretty gross! (That’s why rated 4/5) If in the area I’d go again!

Popped in while staying locally for business and it was better than average but I would necessarily say “very good”, I’d say it was good, however, the service brought it up to a 4/5 rating. The food itself is good and generous in portion, standard curry house beers, stuck with those rather that the seemingly over priced wines. The food was good value though and they catered for a bespoke request from one of our party which he was very happy about the resulting dish. Overall a decent meal with friendly service at a reasonable price, definitely worth a visit if you’re in need of a curry in the area!

The Lily was a short walk from the motel on Lilly Rd. The stream of couriers picking up takeaway was a good sign of quality and popularity.

Upon arrival you are met with a warm friendly welcome. The food was superb and quick. Meal complete in an hour. Lots to choose from and reasonably priced. A full restaurant says a lot too. High recommend!
