Delicious food and attentive service. This restaurant is a gem that should be more busy. Worth a visit.

I've ordered from lin palace for about 5 years now,also sat in for meals..never had a bad experience or complaint.. very tasty food.and lovely people..I ordered last night and went to pick up..was absolutely lovely food. Compliments to the chef or chefs..lovely...keep up the great taste and quality..Will always order and visit here at lin palace..very gracious people too. 9 out of 10

So sorry to write this but this does need to be said. Went for a meal with family at 18.00. We were the only patrons. Clean disposable cloth on the table, but all uncovered tables had clear smear marks. There is a big freezer opposite the bar as you walk in that you don’t notice till your sitting at a table. The freezer was dirty all over the outside. I went to the loo, toilet all brown marks at the back of the seat, over filled waste bin. I came back to the table and was about to tell my husband “lets leave” but he had ordered drinks and starters. The starter of Salt and pepper chips were frozen chips, the salt and pepper chicken bites and satay skewers were reformed chicken. The Satay sauce was a “snotty”strange consistency. The barbecue spare ribs were gristle. No forks or chop sticks provided or napkins. We asked a staff member for these which were provide after taking a telephone order. When passing these to us the lady bushed her hand across our chips and didn’t acknowledge this. We ate most of it, not the ribs, as these were very small starter portions, mainly the chips we were starving. We ordered mains as we were in it since ordering starters. The crispy shredded chicken was soggy. The other 2 meals were sweet and sour chicken, hong kong style. The pale pink sauce again was this strange “snotty” consistency. None of us could eat our meals. We just left the food and paid and left. The young man/boy serving us was polite and pleasant, we did not feel ok to tell him how dirty the place was and how bad the food was. We’re not big complainers. The total bill was £67.00 for 3 of us 2x cola and 1 lager shandy.

Saturday 19-11-2022. Lin palace parkgate Rotherham. The worst restaurant I've ever been in. It was cold heating not on. The toilet was not clean. The food came out cold. And a child working behind the bar serving alcohol. This place needs closing down.

I called on a Tuesday night at approx 10.30pm to order a small meal for one. I’d looked online and seen that the takeaway shows free delivery as well as collection and that the special fried rice(without sauce) was £5.10, chips were £1.60 and curry sauce was £1.20 so I was surprised when I was told the order would be £13. To check what I was being charged I asked for a receipt and was sent a handwritten receipt for £15 with no itemisation. I thought the food was of a reasonable / decent standard .. chips were good but curry sauce was a bit gloupy. I didn’t appreciate what I felt was overcharging and Taste of China deliver the same standard or better meal for approx £10. They were closed this time but I won’t be using Lin Palace again!

What more can you say than YUM!! Absolutely fantastic service from these guys, have been a customer for 7+ years and cannot say how great the food is. We usually go for the same things every time but we decided to change things up! Pipping hot, Fresh and always double checking food allergies over the phone after placing order. Cannot rate them any higher!! Thanks so much!

We had the all you can eat banquet and it was amazing. Food was hot and so tasty! What ever we asked for they were more than happy to help! Lovely family run business, will definitely reccomend and will be returning :)

Called in as a last minute decision. The food was really good. Served quickly and very hot. The restaurant was quite cold but had only just opened. Service very good. No complaints at all.

We placed our order through Just Eat at 7pm, requesting delivery for 8:30pm. We received confirmation from the restaurant confirming they’d deliver it at 9pm. This was telling us, not asking if that’s okay. We then waited for the delivery until 9:20pm before contacting the restaurant at which point we were told the order was just being cooked, (Almost 2 and a half hours after the order was placed!) and that the delivery would be around another 30 minutes! Again, we waited the 30 minutes as it would take longer to cancel and reorder from elsewhere. In the end, the delivery turned up at just gone 10pm (now 3 hours after order was confirmed, over an hour and a half late from when requested and an hour later than they suggested!) Not only that, but this order was almost £50! (Having not been able to go out over Christmas we thought we would treat ourselves! - wish we hadn’t bothered!!) There was no offer of a discount or partial refund etc and the food was a massive disappointment!! The salt and pepper chicken was made with the cheapest looking popcorn chicken impersonation and was vile, tasting like cardboard. The chow mein was dull and lacked any flavour what so ever. The crispy seaweed was like eating damp paper, no crisp, no taste. The ribs, although tender were one of the driest thing I’ve ever eaten. We could not eat half of it, despite being starving having waited so long. Will NOT be ordering again. If we had this in a restaurant we would have walked out half way through and refused to pay. Extremely disappointed.

It is obviously a family run business with an elderly non English speaking lady, her daughter(possibly) and the daughters young son and 2 other very young siblings. So we were shown to our table by an apparently 10 year old waiter... blowing bubbles with his bubblegum who also bought some prawn crackers to the table after we were seated. He also took the card payments on the machine at the bar! When one of our party went to the toilet there was a very young girl sitting in the sink and her slightly older sibling playing with the toilet brush. They had to be asked to leave despite them saying just to go ahead... really not good. When we were asked how hungry we were when we were seated (which we were) the young woman removed the proper menus and left us with the buffet menu. When we tried to order the 5 items for the starters everything we asked we were told we could not have. When we ordered our main meals we all ordered different meals (although one of our party ordered beef and got chicken) but we were very hungry by this time so ate it anyway. The food appeared to be okay generally and I had beef and mushrooms in black bean sauce which tasted quite rich with really thick black bean sauce - unfortunately a few hours later I was very sick all night so would avoid this! We had not eaten elsewhere. We personally would not go back there again nor would we recommend it.

Ordered through Just Eat as only way to place an order. Got a confirmation email at 6.49 pushing delivery out to 8.10pm. At 8.35pm I phoned to be told that despite having my email and mobile it would have another hour!!!! Customer service CRAP. Can't comment on food as never received. They do not deserve your business. DO NOT USE!

Not much I can can than this place is bad, food is rancid and you have to wait 40 minutes between servings

Slow service - 30-40 min between starter and main just so you drink more Small portions - Recommend that you order 2 of each if you want to be anywhere near full Won’t be returning... Food was tasty at least “More chips”

Think my title says it all. Went to the all you can eat buffet but instead of been let choose from the menu I was given a list of 4 main meals I could order. When I asked why I couldn’t choose from the all you can eat menu I was told that because we was a big party it was easier for them to cook a few things and let us choose from them. The food was horrible. No taste and just looked like slop. The drinks service was good I will say that which is a good thing as at least the alcohol took our mind of the poor food and choice (or lack of it). I will not be returning.

El anunciado todo lo que puedas comer buffet no existe - es simplemente otra opción de menú que no es un buffet en mi libro.En tres palabras, media y media media

Ahora Lin Palacio tuvimos una comida para llevar desde aquí. Dios mío fue increíble. La miel chili pollo es para morirse, y la sal y pimienta patatas fritas son preciosos. Desde el exterior es un surtido de decoración de papel San Valentín corazones para luces de Navidad, pero prueba la comida. Lo mejor que hemos tenido en mucho tiempo.

Llamado antes de una boda no por la carretera.Mientras muy tranquilo, ya que sólo era temprano en la noche... nos ofrecieron la opción de buffet tenedor o ordenar fuera del menú.Como nos apetecía un curry elegimos el menú... casa curry y opción de arroz... honestamente puedo decir que este fue el mejor chino curry que he probado (y he probado unos cuantos)Si alguna vez en la zona de nuevo sin duda aquí.

Found this little gem whilst out working in Rotherham! Cannot fault this lovely restaurant. The mixed meat curry delight with egg fried eve for me! Beautiful! DO NOT MISS THIS LITTLE PALACE! What a find!

No malgastes tu tiempo y dinero, el lugar es horrible! Nos invitaron para una fiesta de cumpleaños, amigos para todos 35 libras puedes comer y beber. Somos veteranos de la dinastía, donde puedes conseguir una buena relación calidad-precio, con el ambiente. Aquí en el Palacio Lin nos sirvió 2 personal para administrar bebidas para 12 personas y la dieta de alguien con una alergia de la tuerca, y otro que es celíaca. Nos aseguraron que ellos entendieron lo que esto significó antes de la reserva, pero cuando la comida llegó a la mesa toda la comida estaba contaminada; comida para cruzar la persona con alérgia estaba en la placa misma como un pollo satay! Mi esposa me ofrecieron un plato sin gluten de fritos de algas... nada más. Todas su pollo, etc. ya estaba recubierto de harina (trigo, no), impidiendo su cornflour comestible. Nos sentamos por dos horas con mal servicio tanto por la comida y la bebida, ya que puede imaginar con sólo 2 empleados. 2 horas en la que logró obtener 5 bebidas, las que fueron diluidos al máximo, no pudimos ver si las medidas correctas se echaban, pero a juzgar por el efecto que claramente no estaban. Pagamos cuando nos fuimos y nos quejamos, pero sólo lo conocí con sonrisas. No pierda su tiempo y dinero.

We're were welcomed by a young boy witch was very polite and showed us too our table lovely to see a family working business we went for the all you can eat buffet it wasn't a help your self buffet witch we wasn't sure on but it truly was lovely the staff were friendly and polite and the food was amazing hot fresh and tasty would definitely recommend this to a friend thank you for the service :) x

Originalmente había reservado una mesa para 10 por todo lo que pueda comer y beber por £35 euros por persona y oferta. Cuando llegamos a las 8 de la tarde no sólo terminó siendo 9 de nosotros. Todos nos pedimos unas bebidas y enseguida nos dieron galletas saladas de gambas. Por 8,25 mi novio no había recibido aún su primera copa. Mi novio y yo fuimos al mostrador para quejarme y nos dijeron que nos permite 30 minutos adicionales en la parte de arriba de nuestro tiempo para pedir más bebidas. Cuando él beber vino finalmente, bebía, siga recto hacia abajo como si era pop y nos dijeron que no sabían como no había nada sin alcohol. Tuvimos que reutilización nuestros vasos así que cuando he cambiado mi copa de gin tonic de Amaretto y coca-cola que pude probar la tangyness de la grúa en mi vaso. La joven camarera parecía tener que cuidar de nuestra mesa y otra mesa más grande y dos pequeñas mesas por su propia cuenta mientras que la mujer que parecía estar a cargo se destacó en el mostrador haciendo muy poco junto con lo que supongo que para ser un miembro de la familia. Ya que estábamos muy decepcionados con nuestro servicio, creo que nos empezamos a tomar más en la camarera y se disculpó a ella y le dijo que no tome personalmente como ella estaba haciendo como viera. La comida estaba bien, pero salió en caía y drabs lo que era molesto, ya que no llegar a tener una variedad de una sola vez. Por el momento nuestros platos principales vino estaba harto y no probar la mitad de porque me sentí disgustada, decepción y un poco avergonzada elegido este lugar para mi cumpleaños. Las bebidas servicio seguía siendo lento (básicamente no existía) y yo en realidad tenía que levantarse y vaya a la barra para pedir una bebida. Nunca tuve una disculpa de nada nos quejamos. La oferta no incluye vino propieda, botellas, licores marca, medidas dobles, inyecciones o postres (casi todo lo que pueda comer y beber). He estado en dinastía en centro de Rotherham y pagar el mismo precio exacto por el mismo precio y ha permitido Coca Cola adecuada, el vino que no tiene sabor como vinagre, Baileys, disparos e incluso un limpio vaso en vez de reutilización. La habitación estaba helada y el aire acondicionado estaba a todo volumen y sin papel higiénico en mujeres. Cuando nos fuimos nos pagamos nuestro resto de 25 libras cada uno (que habíamos pagado £10 pp) de depósito ya que pagamos, nos preguntó porqué no había pagado lo suficiente ya que hicimos la reserva para 10 personas. Nos dejó en claro que la mujer a principios de la noche una persona tenía 't aparezca sin mencionar el hecho de que había un asiento vacío en la mesa en la que me pareció que hubiera sido evidente. Después de tener que básicamente discutir sobre ello, se mostró de acuerdo en que habíamos pagado correctamente. Los pobres camarera necesita encontrar otro trabajo donde ella es respetado y la mujer detrás del mostrador necesita atención al cliente habilidades, destrezas y gestión algunos modales. Cuenta con una buena oferta para luego básicamente le quita cuando llegues al ignorar sólo toma órdenes de beber 2 en un tiempo es un caos. La mujer en cargos también me preguntó mi novio si nos gustaría pastel de q para mi cumpleaños por sorpresa pero vino me pregunte primero. La única razón por la que he aceptado es porque mis amigos estaban esperando para el postre pero nos dijeron que teníamos que pagar extra. Los últimos 30 minutos teníamos 'extra' para pedir una bebida la joven camarera terminado y a la mujer principal que sirve y el miembro de la familia que no podía hablar inglés y claros nuestros platos. A pesar de que mi novio tener que decir la mujer dos veces que todos queríamos pedir una copa, ella tardó unos 5 minutos para nuestros pedidos.

No hay muchas críticas en este restaurante, pero decidí reservar para 5 adultos. Muy tranquilo y sin otras reservas así que me sentí preocupado sin embargo la comida era decente. Al llegar el saludo fue muy amable, ordenados bebidas mientras que mira el menú. 2 menús en uso, incluyendo todo lo que pueda comer buffet. Esto es engañosa ya que el buffet era en realidad un plato principal y un campo y arroz que se hizo a la orden de un grupo selecto, un plato cada uno así que no es un buffet de autoservicio. Decidimos tener un menú fijo y podría cambiar cualquiera de los platos. Como no estaba ocupado la comida era fresco y sabroso pero no muy caliente, que era probablemente debido a el aire soplando aire frío.

Vamos con regularidad por los miembros de la familia que vive cerca y siempre disfrutar de la comida y el ambiente. Esta noche, aunque teníamos familia desde Manchester y tardaron, tengo que ser sincero y decir que la comida era excelente y el personal es tan amable como siempre. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar.

We've eaten here quite a few times and never been disappointed. Service is great and is nice relaxing atmosphere. Food is really good. It is now called Lin palace.

Excellent food and friendly staff. Had £14.95 menu where you order as much as you can eat! Also paid £1.95 extra for crispy duck with pancakes which was lovely. All food is cooked to order and chief will tweak meals for allergies. Highly recommend beef in black bean as a main dish.

Worst service possible. Took three hours for 2 starters and 2 main courses.All you can eat for £14.95 - if you can get any service.Absolute rubbish.That was with only 3 tables in use what if it was full.?. I should have lnown there was something wrong, 7-30pm Saturday night and only 3 tables in use.Wouldn't eat here again if it was FREE.

Ordered a takeaway from here for the first time now you would think with it been a restaurant too it woudo be good well think again ! Having spent over £25 I was a little disappointed . Special chow mein had burnt bits in it and it wasn't even proper chow mein but the thin noddles . This is not chow mein . Bbq spare ribs were tiny little bones ! It is more expensive then your normal take away Chinese and no means better . This must be the worst I've seen in years . I normally order from yummy king on Doncaster road at dalton , go there if you want a proper Chinese which is tasty , cheaper and piping hot !

Lin palace has been my choice for chinese since the change of owner. I regular eat in and sometimes order a takeaway for my lazy weekends. The staffs here are ever so friendly and the food is delicious.

As soon as I walked in I asked myself what I was even doing going in this place. Looked like a cafe rather than a restaurant. Service was very slow and the 2 young girls working there had no clue what food they were even bringing to the table. We ordered a crispy duck which we never even got but we asked the waitresses twice where it was. Food was awful. The spring rolls were mushy and soggy inside. An hour later when we eventually got our main courses the rice was cold, my daughter found a hair in her food, my food had so much msg in it, it was just salt overload. Not one of us finished our foodWe scarpered and called at tesco for a dessert on the way home. No way we were going to sit there any longer. The place was also very cold. We sat in coats the whole time. The female/disabled toilets smelt of stale urine. Very unpleasant experience. God knows how it's going to stay open

now called Lin Palace.loved the food here freshly cooked buffet menu.. service was brill everything was explained clearly.will defo be returning gorgeous Chinese food! only down fall was the lager, my partner said it was really flat.

Booked a table for the buffet, Sat at the trable for 45 mins without anyone bringing a menu or offering drinks, there was only 2 other occupied tables in the place! The manager was behind the bar talking on the phone while 2 inexperienced waitressss wandered about the place, one dressed in leggings with a baggy jumper and unwashed hair. Finally a menue was brought and the waitress asked if we 'would like a drink or owt' I asked what flavours of kopperberg was available but she did not know. The menu we was given did not mention the buffet so we called the waitress back who had to wait for her manager to finish on the phone, she then brought a buffet menue dropped it on the table and walked away, as we did not know how many selections of each to order we called her back to explain. Another 15 mins later the dirty looking waitress came to take our order but barely seemed to understand what we were saying. She then walked away and stood chatting to her colleague, after a further ten mins of her doing this we got up, paid for our drinks and left. After nearly an hour and a half being sat at the table I cannot comment on the food as we didn't actually get any. Simply shocking service, will not be going there again

I visited this restaurant with a colleague last week. I was looking for the Lihoma, but it seems to have been renamed Lin Palace. First surprise was the cash only sign, this was due to a technical problem. That was OK, had cash, so let's eat.It was all you can eat menu, not buffet. I'd had these before and so knew the format. The first thing we noticed was that the service was slow. We were the only two diners ordering but had to wait a long time for the starters. Considering the length of time to get the starters we ordered the duck straight away, which was a good move.Duck was standard and good. Mains were almost glowing with food colouring, but that was to be expected. I just knew the MSG would be through the roof too. But, it's the standard of food that you will get at these all you can eat places and I knew that. They forgot one of the dishes, but that was quickly rectified and a free beer to make up for it.Paying, cash only, as already stated, but, no receipts all hand written order stubs and no VAT, they are not registered yet.All in all, I would go back especially if I was hungry. Lots of food to go around. The waitress/owners wife (probably) was very personable and chatted to us while we waited. It's not top quality, but come on, for the price it was never going to be Ken Hom.

Just had a meal in the newly renamed & under new management former Lihoma. The food was delicious, all freshly cooked & piping hot. The menu has changed a little bit from the previous owners & if anything is even better. We used to go regularly when it was Lihoma & we will continue to be frequent customers of the Lin Palace.

Visited Lihoma recently and I was very disappointed. There was different staff from my last visit. The guy who I presumed was in charge seem miserable and limited english. We both ordered soup and I was given the wrong 1 which could have had severe consequences had I have tried it as there was crab in it and I'm allergic to shellfish. It was only that my partner tired the 1 he had first and relalised they were mixed up . When we made a comment nothing seemed to have been said to the waitress who just put our soup down and obviously couldn't tell the difference by looking at it. I will not visit this place again.

went to lihoma last night for a birthday celebration in a party of 22. there was also another party of a similar size for a similar celebration. The first thing that greets you when you enter is a sign saying cash only payments no credit cards or debit cards taken(this day and age unbelievable)at the bar beer and larger were served from cans soft drinks from plastic supermarket bottles. the service was terrible 2 young lads to man the bar and take orders and serve ninety people with starters and main course it was chaos. 1 person cooking for the same number of people. the starters were not too bad but main courses were terrible the rice had an awful smell to it the chicken in some dishes was slimy and inedible a lot of food was left untouched. I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN NEVER!!!

Me and my family love this restaurant we have been many times,with our two young children, friends as adults only and a big family party. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in rotherham it's excellent value for money food is always served hot and staff are very friendly and helpful and they also great with children. Will be returning again for another great meal :)

Went on a girls night out - felt like it took all night to get served, the restaurant was not full and half the table were served with mains and we still waiting for starters. When we received our mains, they went cold whilst waiting for rice / noodles. Some of the dishes were tasteless - curry was like gravy. The noodles were far too greasy and the seaweed was far far too salty. Disappointed used to be a lovely restaurant.

I went with a party of 15 for a celebration which was booked well in advance.There was no blackcurrent no Martini no draught beer and no steak.The service was extremely slow and the staff who worked behind the counter didnt care in the slightest offering no customer service or apology.The food was cold the noodles were greasy it really was shockingly poor and to make matters worse the bill was mixed up and we were charged incorrectly.

Can't believe some of the reviews for this restaurant, the food is always excellent and staff always friendly and accomodating, nothing is ever too much to ask, they are always happy to help. One of the waiting staff was exceptionally helpful running around and serving food- and she is heavily pregnant! As for the comment below, crispy duck is always served after the starters hence your "wait" Would definitely recommend and will be coming back very soon.

Never tried here before as the manager who runs this restaurant, I've also seen running another Chinese in Wickersley, so thought we'd give it a whirl! To be fair, the waiting staff need more training as the young male waited said it was his 3rd night and was clearly embarrassed/nervous! We were seated 1st before another couple and usually waiting staff know when your ready as menus are down on the table, but our order was taken after the other couples! she could have taken both orders, but instead, she took their order, took it to the kitchen, messed around behind the bar then took ours! Certainly lacks efficiency!! There were 3 waiting staff and god only knows what they would do if it was busy!! Their heads would explode!!! The food was really nice, but waited an extra 10 minutes for the crispy duck was a bit much as we paid extra for and already eaten the mixed platter starter! As I said, the food was really nice, but staff and waiting times let this place down!!

we have been visiting this restaurant for years now and have never had a bad meal/experience all the staff are friendly and the food is always outstanding.

My family and I visit this restaurant often. After returning from holiday on Saturday evening we couldn't think of a more enjoyable place to eat. The platter of ribs, prawn toast, crispy seaweed, satay chicken starter was delicious as were all our main courses. 5 empty plates and a great ending to our holiday.A nice little finishing touch was the flower that was made out of carrot ... loved it!

Great food!,great service!, friendly staff! We go as a group for work nights out and it's the best Chinese in Rotherham. Repeat customers about 15 of us go and we love it. Would definitely recommend! X

Went, as a party of 6, for a set meal on a saturday night. The food was tasty and each dish really different - the portions were a good size and we were asked if we wanted more when food was running low ( I think this may be as a result of previous comments). I really enjoyed it.

This was our second and last visit. After being spontaneous after a stressful day at work we decided to go to Lihoma as we knew we would get a table on a Friday evening. We arrived at 7.30pm and there was a group of young men, a mixed party and afew couples already seared. Food was not coming out of the kitchen very often and we waited over an hour for our mixed starters which were nice but not plentiful, we regretted we had not ordered more as we waited and waited for our main course. At 8pm a Hen party had arrived and the restaurant was now full. We received a plate which had been warmed at 920pm with the waitress apologising for the delay and said the food w on it's way. At 940pm a plate of rice and broccoli arrived and we waited and waited not starting until the meat dishes arrived which did not happen. The Hen party had waited 1.5 hrs and not even had starters so they started getting food whilst we sat waiting with the rice and broccoli and obviously by 1045pm no food was in sight so we paid the drinks bill and went to the local chip shop. We did not intend spending the evening here just a quick meal and then home but instead it ruined the start of our weekend and I wholeheartedly do not recommend you set foot in the door. The food probably is nice but at £14.50 per head, eat all you want, you need to be served some food in the first place.

This was the first time me my partner and our 2 yr old had eaten at this restaurant, the food overall was nice, the drinks were over priced and pop was being served from bottles at £1.60 for a regular glass, we arrived at lihoma at 6:30pm for a quick tea time meal and we didn't get to leave until 9:30pm the service was extremely slow and the food was served in small portions, for an all you can eat meal we had 2 starters a main meal and 2 more starters which was very disappointing, unfortunately we won't be eating here again as there is better Chinese all you can eat restaurants that are better value and you get to help your self.

Went with Freinds for a Birthday treat. We were disappointed by the portion sizes on the £13.95 all you can eat menu, and the food wasn't up to the standard we have had here before. They also ran out of beer just after we arrived - 8.00pm on a Saturday night!!

A party of 16 of us went for Mothers Day evening, and we all enjoyed ourselves. The food was gorgeous and the service good and with the Eat As Much As You Want menu good value.

I love this place the food is always first rate and nothing is too much trouble . We are in a big recession as we know and the place has suffered it can't pay to have staff standing around but when a large group goes in it's hard to keep the the service as sharp . They have to put up with rude customers at times and then get bad reviews from them I can only speak for myself and say its the best Chinese restaurant. I've used I really hope trade picks up and it continues to offer the great food it does I would recommend booking if a group are visiting then staff can be brought in

I've been to Lihoma on several occasions, be they as a couple, with friends, and with family. Each time they haven't failed to deliver a great meal, with warm, friendly service.Great value, well worth a try

Me and my family visited this restaurant and found the staff to be very friendly and very helpful, as I am a very fussy eater. The food arrived hot and exactly what we ordered. The service was wonderful and the prices were spot-on. The only let down was the price of the wine, £12.99 a bottle which tasted more like a £2.99 bottle from the corner shop.

Can't ask for more from restaurant, great food, fantastic service and excellant value, i have been a number of times, the staff are always very friendly, the food is always top quality and its great value for money, i highly recommend this restaurant.

great service, staff very friendly, went on a sunday afternoon and it was very quite, food was really tasty and at a reasonable price. Me and my partner were impressed and will be coming back soon hopefully

Very friendly service and well presented food. The wine list was adequate allthough I felt it was a little on the expensive side for the quality of wine on offer.

I cannot believe some of the reviews on here. I eat here often with my family and friends and we have never had a bad meal. The service is excellent and the food is always hot, plentiful and tasty. Some reviews state that they have had to wait for their meals. I have had to wait much much longer in pubs and when large parties are in the restaurant the meals will take a while to cook. This is to be expected and the atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and relaxing and whilst eating a 2 or 3 course meal I do not mind waiting - after all most people go to the restaurant for a 'night out'. These meals are not to be rushed.The staff are pleasant and helpful and the food is reasonably priced. I have eaten at many establishments but this is by far my favourite! Give it a try and find out for yourselves. You won't be disappointed.

A party of 16 of us went to this restaraunt on a Saturday night after pre booking the table, we was absolutely disgusted. We all had the "eat as much as you like" menu priced at £13.95 per person. We arrived at 8pm and waited almost an hour for our table to be ready, then we ordered a starter, which again we waited almost an hour for and it was cold, then we ordered our main course and surprise , surprise, we waited another hour and again it was cold. We did not have time to order any more food, or drinks, as our taxi was picking us up at 11.30pm. There was not enough staff to cater for the amount of people there. There was an under age girl serving at the bar, a 16 year old boy also serving us alcoholic drinks and a bloke waiting on tables with the food. We complained and refused to pay the full price. THIS MENU SHOULD BE RE NAMED TO EAT AS MUCH AS THE STAFF CAN SERVE YOU, NOT EAT AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE!!! Plus the restaraunt ran out of beer half way thro our visit.

I have been visiting Lihoma with my friends and family for over a year now and have never ever had a bad meal! I can't believe some of the reviews on here. The service is always top notch and the food always fresh and delicious. The staff can't do enough for you! The drink selection is great and the coco banana dessert is beautiful. I really cannot praise lihomas enough and can't believe more people are not giving it a go. I dine out a lot and always recommend this to my friends. It's excellent alike for money and the spicy tofu and sweet and sour prawn is the best iv ever had.Please come and try it, you won't be disappointed.

Visited the restaurant 04/08/12 Saturday Evening the table was booked for 9 pm we were waiting for the main course at 10.45. There were hardly any staff the service was really bad our drinks order came wrong and the food is so salty absolute rubbish and to add insult the bill was £100.00 for four people. We eat out every Saturday and this is by far the worst we have experienced. Do not waste your money at this restuarant.

Quite cheap and has the all-you-can-eat menu where you order dishes as you want them but the food wasn't that nice. Vegetarian options quite limited and a bit boring (steamed broccolli in soy sauce). Food generally tasted a bit cheap and not very fresh. Would not go back again, I've had much better take aways.

We visit this restaurant regularly and have never been disappointed. As a Coeliac, I find it very difficult to find restaurants to cater for me, however this is not a problem at Lihoma. The food is delicious and everyone I've recommended it to agrees too, they have always returned. Busy weekends, yes you may have a short while to wait but this is not a problem when you have gone for a night out .. at least we know the food is cooked fresh. Many a good night has been spent there, family occasions, a night out with friends or just me and my partner. We absolutely love it! Visit at least once a week now.

I and 11 of my friends went to this restaurant and arrived as the first table at 7pm.We went and sat at our round table ( it had a useful spinning middle to distribute drinks and food ), quickly ordered drinks and then food, the starters came at a reasonable time.However, as more people attended the restaurant our service went down the pan.Our main courses were very slow and when we ordered a couple of extra mains we saw it come slowly. In fact most of us had eaten our mains before the last of the original mains came out.The drinks were reasonably priced and our total bill per person was £22.I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere but the poor service holds this restaurant back from being excellent. PS Arrived at 7pm and left at 10:30pm ( we didnt hang around either, we was aiming to get to the pub )Id be doubtful about recommending this restaurant

Went to Lihoma with my husband and two freinds, THIS IS NOT A BUFFET STYLE EAT ALL YOU WANT CHINESE!!!!! Our table was booked for 8pm and at 10pm we had only had starters. There was only two waitresses to take orders, serve drinks and also food out to tables, The manager was onhand too. The food WHEN it arrived was very nice, we only paid for the starters and the drinks that we had but the bill was still £57.75. ONLY GO TO LIHOMA IF YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR ENTIRE EVENING THERE WAITING FOR FOOD AND DRINKS!!!!!!!!!!

My partner and I have eaten here many times and have always had an excellent experience. This is the best way of doing an 'all you can eat' as the food is cooked freshly to order. There is a very good choice of food on the menu and I particularly like the platter of starters. The quality of the food is always of a high standard and the service pleasant and efficient.

this is a nice set up in an industrial area it is much better inside than it looks from the outside. the food is good but there are different prices for different times and days so be sure you check first. they have big banners outside stating the price deals but when we went in on a friday we found that the price had increased for a friday evening. nevertheless it was a nice meal and we enjoyed it.

I have just ordered a takeaway for my son from what I thought was a local chinese, after counting the change from a £20 I had £3 left. I got the menu out and for what i had ordered should have come to approx £12.50. On ringing the number I had used I was told the number was now being used by this takeaway about 1/2 mile awa, that is also an over priced restaurant (why was I not told this when I rang). The numbers are totaly different on both menus!!!!The food was also inedible. I wil be getting in touch with trading standards monday morning.

I've now had the chance to eat at the Lihoma twice and on both occasions the forrd has been well prepared and delivered by attentive staff. What is unusual about the Lihoma is that it offers lamb dishes. There are very few chinese restaurants that include this in their menu list. On first visit I had Deep Fried Crispy lamb with Catonese Sauce and I enjoyed it immensely. The second time I had Fried Chicken with Oyster sauce, again well presented and tasty. The waiting staff deserve particular praise. The waitress who served me on both occasions even remembered what drink I had from my first visit, amazing!If you want a good quality chinese restaurant that serves more unusual dishes that are of a high quality, I would recommend the Lihoma.

Food much better than service, which was a little chaotic on a busy Saturday evening.Marooned on an industrial estate, but very popular obviously with locals.

Chinese and Italian cuisine are my favourites, so I try to try as many as possible. Lihoma is on the site of an old Italian restaurant that I used to go to...so I'm glad that I decided to check it out. Absolute fantastic value for money, delicious food and friendly and efficient staff. I'm actually getting hungry now just thinking about this restaurant!

warm and welcoming atmospheresuitable for family, romantic or business dinning.there is a choice of a standard menu or eat all you can menu .Eat all you can with a differenceEach dish is ordered from the menu with a choice of i think 3 or 4 soups followed by a large selection of starters crispy seaweed, barbeque ribs, crispy shredded chicken salt and peppered ( my favorite) to name the three I normally have, followed by crispy duck then a choice of main courses including several vegitarian options. The staff come around and check if you more starters etc so you are not made to feel uncomfortable ordering 2 or 3 main courses as each course is cooked fresh you can ask for say no onions or veg in something and it is never a problem unlike the standard eat all you can buffets were the every thing is sitting on warmers pre cooked.They have a nice selection of wines and beers.

We have been to alot of different chinese resteraunts but this one is far above the rest in quality, its lovely decorated , and the staff are fantastic, edith and billy ( the owners) are 2 of the nicest people you could meet, there is a normal menu and a all you can eat menu, all the food is cooked fresh and you can see its good quality, we go for all you can eat, normally you go to a chinese all you can eat and the food is pre cooked then put in large tins and kept warm, you can be waiting for them to get topped up or all the meat is gone from the tin, but at lihoma you order from the set buffet menu , soup then starter then crispy duck then main course, order as much as you like if you want more then you can have more, sometimes i have asked for something from the starter list to have with my main course and they cooked it no problem, we never had a bad meal here and i recomend it to everyone i meet, its £12.95 mon to thursday and £9.95 on sunday also they do a take away service, hope you enjoy as much as we do. forgot to mention it aws achieved 4star hygiene award.
