3 breakfasts came with hard yoke poached eggs, if a cook cannot poach an egg properly they need to resign. Tea coffee served 20 minutes before breakfast, toast and egg served without butter, we had to ask,. We did bring to assistant’s the hard yoke and she came back to offer properly cooked eggs, but we were half way through breakfast, it highlights that who ever cooked the eggs knew of the hard yoked, why did they serve them? This is an over rated coffee shop we’re no skill was displayed. Our monthly breakfast meetings have now changed location.

Popped in for tea and cake. Tea and cakes fine but rather expensive. Coffee great as came in a huge cup x what saddened us was decor. Out the back (and it’s part of an interior design shop) was badly done. Wires all over the place and filler showing. It was badly put together with plastic dirty plants. Come on sort it out.

Called in for quick coffee stop. Ordered a bagel with soft cheese and crispy bacon and a ham sandwich. 1 water and a cappuccino. Given a number and dispatched to our table. 5 mins later the glass of water and coffee arrived. A further 15 mins later I went in search of my order. No apology for the delay. Sitting outside was pleasant in the sun so made the mistake of going back in to order a cold drink and a piece of roulade. When offered a order number and bearing in my previous delay I said I would simply wait. Roulade and drinks cabinet are an arms length from the till. 7.5 minutes I had to wait. Again no offer of apology. If you want good food and don’t mind a lengthy wait or poor manners then go. If you are old and want to enjoy your time left on this Earth making full use of your time, then avoid it like the plague.

I called in for a light lunch on a Saturday. The first question is how do you get into the coffee shop. the front door was closed so I went down an entry were I could see folk sitting in the coffee shop, eventually I seen a side door and got in. I wasn't the only one to find it hard to gain admission. When you walk in they give you no time to relax and read a menu, but if you get a seat the staff never come near you to take your order as you must go to the counter. There also no menu's on the tables. So I had tea and sandwiches, the tea came very quick it took a further 20 minutes before the sandwiches arrived. To be honest the sandwiches were good, excellent ham but rather expensive at £13.95 for two cups of tea and two portions of ham sandwiches with some salad dressing. To be fair it seems a popular spot and was very busy.

Love this little hidden gem! Very friendly staff, relaxing environment and brilliant food! I can't resist the banoffee pie, it's the best I've ever tried!! Also recommend the stew on a cold day, very hearty! I love spending a morning off here and can't wait to get back soon!

Visited Jackson's today for lunch. As it was 2.00pm the lunchtime rush was over most tables with customers were having afternoon tea, coffee and a chat with friends. On entering the coffee shop there was at least 4 tables free in the main part and 2 in the conservatory (all needed to be cleared). On ordering and paying for our food we pointed out that the table we were going to sit at needed cleared. We took our seats and sat for over 12 minutes and all the empty tables still remained with dirty dishes on them. 2 ladies sat to the table to our right, they commented to me about their table not being cleared and I pointed out to them that we had been sitting at our cluttered table for gone 15 minutes. Shortly afterwards we were asked by a member of staff was the dishes on the table ours. I said we had now been sitting for over 15 minutes at this table while staff had walked past. I pointed out that ours was not the only dirty table and the young man apologised. A different young man came with our clean cutlery, I pointed out that the table needed cleaned, he then proceeded to place the clean cutlery on the uncleared, dirty table. I told him that he shouldn't do that and I sent the cutlery back. A different young man came and cleared the table and apologised. I said that he seemed to be the only one doing any work as we had noticed that he had been busy making the different coffees while 2 others seemed to go back and forth doing very little. When our food came it was cold and I had to go and ask for cutlery. l ate it as I felt I had done nothing but complain. I hadn't finished my coffee and I was asked if everything had been ok, I just said that I didn't wish to comment and the young man lifted my cup, he then realised I hadn't finished and asked have you finished and I said no. He placed the cup back down. This might all have been excused if it had been really busy, but it wasn't as I said when we took our seats there was empty, dirty tables everywhere. On a plus I must add that Michael was extremely polite and really shouldn't have had to apologise for his colleagues.

Nothing beats a trip to Jacksons on a Saturday afternoon for a coffee and a bun (cranberry and white chocolate caramel square, yum!) and then a good browse around all Mr Jacksons' other stores to find some delights and bargains.

My partner and I went in for a simple breakfast. 6 staff outside the kitchen tripping over themselves doing nothing, one older lady in the kitchen doing everything. She was clearly visible from our seat. They mixed the order up, burnt the bagel, poor communication between staff as to what we asked for. Will be a while before were back.

Visited Jacksons for a quick coffee in the afternoon. There is also a health food shop and furniture in the same shop, and two other shops further down the street selling hardware and kitchen ware, and shoes. Jacksons has a real monopoly in Saintfield! Lemon meringue was excellent and definitely home made, with crispy pastry. It's very difficult to get lemon meringue where the lemon, meringue and pastry are all good. Teapots actually pour without spilling! Moving to ordering at the counter is a real improvement as previously getting your order taken was a bit slow at times. There is a small but good menu with breakfast and lunch options. The goats cheese panini on nigella bread is a favourite.

Called into Lifestyle after leaving another restaurant due to bad service. Immediately greeted by a pleasant waitress and shown to our seat. Given a menu and was informed when we were ready to order to come to the counter. Coffees and day food came a short time later. There is a health shop and goods shop upstairs attached. Excellent joy and service. Will call again

We go here regularly. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The coffee and cakes are good. The decor could do with being updated but apart from that it's a nice place to go.

Visited with my 9 year old daughter and grandparents. Access a bit difficult through the shop but got a table out in the courtyard. Nice simple menu with selection of salads, panini, bagels and sandwiches. Very tasty food, fresh and well presented. Salmon salad the highlight accompanied by beautiful fresh bread. Chocolate milkshake and coffee rounded the lunch of perfectly. Friendly and courteous staff.

This coffee shop/ restaurant is part of the complex of Jackson's shops. It is quite a small restaurant with comfortable seats inside and in a sunny conservatory. Lovely food. We had bagels with bacon and cream cheese which was served with a small salad and also a croissant with ham and cheese. Good value for money and comfortable for lunch

Just had lunch here last week and thought it was really great. The paninis (option of breads available) was excellent, the seeded bread was lovely and it came with some salad and crisps. The panini was large and very nice, the coffee was also very good. They seemed to do a lot of trybakes but by that stage I was too full to try one. Wold definitely recommend this coffee shop, we'll be back soon.

Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff. We visited about 4.30pm, quite late in the day so there was a limited amount of scones etc on offer. My husband and I shared a piece of carrot cake and a caramel muffin, along with our coffee. We were satisfied but I wouldn't be driving a distance to have coffee there.

Hadn't noticed this coffee shop before but will certainly be back. Had a really tasty chicken and vegetable soup - beautifully thick and creamy texture. Followed this with a nutella and strawberry pancake which was so filling. Service was pleasant and attentive. Must call again and sample their traybakes which looked huge.

This coffee shop is really lovely for a coffee and has a great atmosphere, me and my friend like to sit in the conservatory when we visit. They have a good selection of buns and tray bakes that are really tasty. They recently seem to have expanded their range and refurbished the place, it is very nice and adds to the experience. The staff are very friendly and certainly make some great lunches!

Didn't even know this place existed until recently but we'll definitely be back. We got a panini with great seeded bread and sweet chili chicken and it was brilliant. We found the staff and general service to be excellent we even got a great tray bake each for dessert which were really big and absolutely delicious! Their coffee had a great flavour and would definitely recommend it. We are planning another trip back when we are next off. Well done.

Been here for coffee twice. First time it was a good experience, nice coffee and meaningful service(they seemed to care). Second time was very disappointing. The coffee was fine but service was dreadful! A group of young girls seemed to be in charge but they didn't seem with it at all. I witnessed one of them rolling her eyes when an old lady had to ask for a top up. A bit of training and manners required!

Lovely locally sourced food with a beautiful tipi setting.🌟 Delicious juicy burger and yummy flatbread. Staff were friendly and totally spot on with their recommendations for both food and suggesting we walk around the lake after. 💚The atmosphere inside the tipi is buzzing. It's clear that the staff and management are passionate about the sourcing locally and being as organic as possible and very fresh produce. ☕🍰We loved it so much we came twice once for lunch and then back for a coffee and cake..... Chocolate and peanut butter cake and the brownies ..... Were to die for.... Wolfed them down so no photo. Highly recommend Fodder and can't wait to return next time we visit Northern Ireland. 💕

Just had a cortado. Very weak with very little coffee flavour. Also, staff should wash their hands after sneezing into them.

Blue Cedar is right in centre of Ballynahinch. Locally owned and the food is homebaked with a wide variety to choose from. Ample seating and for all weather. Variety of plants to pick from after you are finished your coffee.

Although this little bus station cafe is small and always busy because of those who are passing through, I can honestly say some of the best coffee in Downpatrick is served here. Very reasonably priced, and they have specials on regularly to suit the season. Even if you're not making a trip anywhere, stop here for a lovely brew and a fresh baked good or confectionary of your choice to carry you through your day.
