Leatherhead Grill in Mole Valley

For some reason, post-gym workout, I felt it was necessary to pickup a chicken shish kebab on the way home. The chap taking my order and prepping the food was nonchalant at best, so giving 3 stars for service is already a bit of a stretch - but it wasn't an offensive interaction so credit is due there. While waiting I noticed some mould on the inside of the glass display cabinet (from which my uncooked chicken shish was fetched) - I should have cancelled my order and left then but hunger won the day, so I collected and left. Like a sad little man I munched it in my car, windows steaming up and LBC radio making me angry - the taste was fine to be fair. For the next week, it felt like my insides were dissolving, any food I consumed was quickly liquidized by my lurching stomach and squirted out on my overly frequent visits to the toilet every day. I will never go back and have told everyone I know to avoid at all costs - no kebab is worth a week of anal hell.

We were over here to leave our son off to uni and to visit our daughter in London. Went on Friday night on way back to our apartment and had 3 beautiful chicken kebabs with chips. So flavourful and great size portions. Staff were so friendly and chatty. Ended up going back for a late night kebab on Saturday and brought our daughter and partner too for them to try on Sunday. They could not have been more helpful. Hope to get back again sometime if we are over. Highly recommended

Amazing Food. Been ordering here from 5+ years regularly. The food always tastes fresh, delicious and requests are always fulfilled. Staff is very friendly. If you’re feeling like a fresh kebab, do not hesitate to pick this one!

Nice clean place for good food.

Ordered a delivery from them this evening. When it arrived, the chips were like cardboard, and just luke warm. The chicken in the nuggets, and the chicken burger was again not even warm, and was extremely dry. This was not freshly prepared food. The funny thing is, this place did an absolutely amazing job on our last order. The main reason for this ONE STAR review, is the stinking attitude I received when I called them to complain about the food. I have the conversation recorded, and it is horrendous. Zero apologies, zero empathy or understanding. They hung up on me after insisting that the food was ok, and it is fresh. Who hangs up, unless they have been caught out?.... Will never order from these rude beings again.

Rubbish ordered off deliveroo, chicken shish was tiny 3 bits of cold chicken in watery garlic sauce, 1 portion of cheesy chips had no cheese on and greek salad had mostly raw onion than anything else , still hungry not worth £47!! Won't be ordering again

Great fresh kebab, best in town

Visited leatherhead for one night only; didn’t really know what to have for dinner but was very nearby this place and thought I’ll give it a go - absolutely no regrets!!! The food was delicious and meat full of flavour and spices! Very scrumptious and fulfilling, thank you sooo much! :)

Absolutely appalling ordered for me and my family the food is burnt taste like rubber there was also an item missing from the order …… you can’t call them because it always says user busy there food is nasty never going to order from these incompetent people again

The place STINKS every time you even walk up to it! Smells like they’ve never not once cleaned their oil or SOMETHING I’ve never smelt a good place that genuinley smells so bad. Shame when I first moved around Leatherhead it was my go to kebab place . Not sure what’s happened in the past 3 years but I can’t even walk in there now it smells so bad?

Takes over an hour for delivery, food tastes horrible, staff are rude.

I've orderd for collection, not a big order. 3 burgers. Two with full salad options and one without. Got only patties and buns. Luckily we had a tomato at home to top them up. What a sad dinner. Spent almost 15 quid for it.

Have ordered from this place on various occasions some of which were okay others that have taken over 1.5hr to be delivered which I understand at busy times. However on this occasion I ordered at 5.30 for a scheduled delivery between 7 and 7.45. At 7.45 I called and asked for update and was told that i had ordered for a scheduled time and it would be delivered it was on the grill cooking. I said that I had ordered for delivery between 7 and 7.45 and the guy rudely answered back that he couldn't pinpoint the time and it was being cooked and would be there soon. Waited till 8.25 and decided that was long enough and called to cancel the delivery. I was told the driver was outside, which he was not, and that I couldn't cancel the order. I said it was too late and I had requested a delivery time to which he replied with he can't have a special driver just for me and that the roads were icy. Now I completely understand the strains business's are going through at the moment but if they can't deliver on a service then don't offer it. Or at the very least maybe just apologise for the delay in the first place and don't try to make the customer feel stupid. Needless to say we won't be ordering from them again and he told us not to call again, not that he needed to say that.

Great delivery service. Always hot & decent sized portions. Never had any problems & always enjoy the food. Definitely recommend them if you fancy a burger, kebab or another snack.

Ordered kebabs for family. They come freezing cold with a hair in when we called the place I explained the situation they laughed and refused to give a refund or replacement.rude service and disgusting food !

Tried this last week, was by far the best kebab ive eaten in a long time. Great portion sizes and very well presented. I would recommend this to anyone. Very helpful and friendly.

We order from here regularly (live in Fetcham) and will keep doing so. The food is spot on and delivery is always very quick!

This place does nice food, but they package the food in polystyrene which is disastrous to the environment, I won’t go here again until they change it.

Best kebab shop. We usually order from there a small chicken doner and large mix doner extra lamb, is coming with fresh vegetables and the best sauce combination. Mr. Hassan and his staff very friendly and helpful. Tidy, clean shop. You,very good value with can go there or you can order, the delivery quick and portion always big.

Came here for the first time, so many people have said how good the burgers are here so thought I would give it a go. I'm not a big burger fan. The customer service was great and the food was amazing.

Very very good food , authentic Turkish taste and meat very cleverly wrapped separately in aluminium to stay hot on delivery . Very good delivery and polite service . Well done .will definitely order again and again

Shared a mixed grill with my mother and it was fantastic. Surprised to see bad feed back if I’m honest, I have nothing to complain about, we have used it a few times and every time it’s been great value,well cooked and good delivery mostly, would have given 5 star rating but I was kept waiting 45mins, I would still rather wait though and the food be good.

This Take-A-Way has been in Leatherhead a long time and is ideal for a quick snack bite. The quality is good and the service is pretty quick.

This is the best kebab I’ve ever had. Ordered twice from them now and very pleased with the quality.

The burger with fries was allright. Much better than mcdonalds or burger king

had a small kabab their was only 3 little bits of meat think they must of dropped the rest in the grill was very salty . . staff friendly . they put the bottom of the salad tray in the rest of the salad which is un hyginic. . need to wash their hands .

I went to this establishment for a spot of luncheon today as I was in Leatherhead for business. The staff were very friendly and helpful, however I was slightly concerned as whilst he was flipping my burger it fell on the floor and he slipped on it a bit. This really disgruntled me as it really affected the taste and there was a bit of fluff in the bun. Apart from that it was a really good lunch. In his defence he did wipe the burger with his sleeve.

Very rude bad service wanted to get chicken burger without onions it got delivered with lots of onions on when we called the shop the guy picked up was very rude to us nd didn’t Evan sent an other one very poor 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

I called in Sunday night a few weeks back. It was empty. I had a chicken sish kebab and opted for a large. If they call this size large I would hate to see a smaller one. Chicken was ok but I have had much better. Need to try the other one next time.

Even with a few drinks inside you this is a place to avoid as the quality of food is not good and the service poor, will not be back...

Spent £48 for a group takeaway meal, this was overpriced, the order was taken incorrectly and then undercooked.

One star is enough!!!! This place is a joke the food is horrific! The service even worse! We thought we'd give them the benefit of the doubt we'd just moved and starving! Chicken was tough and about 4 tiny bits soaked in garlic mayo which was runny and clearly past its sell by date!!! The lamb.....dont get me started! I called to complain and was hung up on and told "I don't have time for you"! Will never order from them again! I would advise you stay clear!!! Rubbish food, rubbish service! The only place your well earnt cash will end up is in the rubbish!!! AVOID!!!!!

Great kebabs, good burgers but yet to try the fish. Staff friendly and helpful, food can be ready to eat or wrapped in silver foil, great for keeping warm on way home.

Been a regular customer for the last few years,always received good service, apart from the drunk delivery driver on a number of occasions. Wasn't very happy with the meal/service this evening. Chicken fillet burger wasn't the same as had before, was very rubbery n unedible, so had to make a peanut butter sandwich instead,absolute waste of my dinner tonight,very upset with the experience that I received this evening :( :(

The staff seem to prefer the unshaven non English speaking men that stink of stale cigs and hang about the place at night. mixed with the abrupt service, very small portions, odd tasting chips and the fact they serve HALAL which is barbaric, i wouldn't go near this place if i was starving.. and believe me im not usually that fussy.

Awful service over 90 minutes for delivery then missing items on order. Telephoned 6 times then laughed as they got the order wrong..that was the manger

Struggling to find a quick takeaway whilst in Leatherhead I visited Leatherhead grill and orderd a chicken burger. Suffice to say, after one bite and nearly throwing up the remainder was thrown in the bin. The staff were friendly, but that does not compensate for the dreadful burger served. Will never visit the place again.

Waited over an hour and a half for a delivery, called the phone 50 times and no answer! Went there to get food and they weren't even sorry.. awful service

Basic food, deep fried, GIGANTIC portions of chips, friendly and patient staff perfect after a few beers.

We have used leatherhead Grill for many years, by far the best kebabs around. Food always arrives hot and well wrapped, staff are always lovely. We usally order for delivery, but on the odd occassion we have popped in the shop is always clean, and staff always offer a good service.

Our kebab takeaway venue of choice. Staff are friendly, Good range on the menu, The food is what you would expect of a takeaway - prices are spot on.

Just another factory donner places need to get better its really easy to make them but nobody does anymore quantity over quality. Chilli and garlic sauce was ok.

A regular Friday night favourite, the Leatherhead Grill never fails to deliver (literally)!Fresh, hot and consistently tremendous. The chap on the 'phone is always friendly and remembers our order. Great delivery service and top notch food.

oh Leatherhead Grill. How I have missed you while i've travelled the far east of england and asia. No burgers compare to your magnificent creations, even if its a bistro burger piled up to my eyeballs with angus aberdeen beef, i still guiltily wish it was a Leatherhead Grill. After a 18 month hiatus, i had a bit of fear that the good ol' grill would not be the same family favourite, yet you still remember your regular customers by name. How wrong I was, dayum that's a tasty burger and perfectly cooked fries. Perfect portion size, lovely garnishing of salad, 1/4 pounder of pure bliss. You must get your burger sauce from the fast food gods themselves. Please never leave my life. If i was to move towns. I would move you with me.

Overall the food quality is but some of the portion sizes are the small side. For example a large chips selling for £2 is not really good value for money as it is the size of a regular everywhere else so not the best value for money. In addition do not order from hungry house for a specific time as when we did they didn't stick to the time delivered it for a time when we were not in. Then when the delivery time was due they delivered the same food from over an hour earlier that was cold. When I complained they refused to do anything about it.

I've had a few deliveries from here, and on the whole pretty good. Occasionally a little greasy, but no issues, until my last kebab which had a long dark hair in it.Not good enough!

I have been a regular here for years. Like all good food places, they know my order and are always willing to chat when the shop is a little quieter. Very friendly family run place and the kofte kebabs are fantastic! All food is done to a very high standard.

Definitely one of my favourite kebab places and well worth the travel from Wallington. We have been here a number of times and always had a great kebab. It’s usually got a steady turnover and is very rarely really quiet...and I’m not surprised. The deliveries are usually going out the door at a rapid pace too. If we lived nearer we would definitely eat from here more often and get deliveries. Unfourtunately they don’t come out as far as us!!! Even though they are normally busy we don’t have to wait long. We usually have the chicken shish wrap each and share some chippies with an oasis between us and that is plenty. Have also had a very good lamb shish before and burgers nice too. The chips and kebab are always piping hot and I always have the chilli sauce. Sometimes this is hotter than others. Will definitely be back again. Enjoy...

Best takeaway in leatherhead bar none. Really good burgers and kebabs, amazing wings. Ask for the chilli sauce on the side though, I love chilli sauce but theirs can be hot and they are very generous with it.

We use this place alot, really good food. My Favourite is a donner and the wife loves a chicken kebab. The chilli sauce in my medicine for my good looks and keeps all the ill's of the world at bay Jovial service and good value for money.Highly recommend.

Good food (for a grill) but awful service. Been a regular customer for over 5 years, never kicked up a fuss, but my last order was one dish short. When I called them, they were very rude and accused me of stealing. Very disappointed

Superb coal bbq kebabs, the chili sauce is the best I have tasted.
