A lovely cafe, kind people and the cakes are miniature works of art! Great coffee - highly recommended!

I live just down the road and their bread is delicious. Trouble is they don't do much of it (which is maybe why it is so good) so you have to be quick some days to get the bread. The pastries are also very delicious but a bit wicked. Hav eonly eaten there a few times and it has been good. And I liked their coffee, which some people on here didn't - I guess coffee is a v ery personal thing. The croissants are really French. The staff are very nice people and they play French jazz on radio.

Gentle, relaxing service and atmosphere. Beautiful pastries and patisserie. Excellent (and strong) coffee. Clean and considerate staff. The best baguette in Palmers Green -- about the only place we buy bread here in PG 8=).

Authentic cappuccino and cakes to die for Palmers Green is a lovely suburbs and full of cafe and bars. This French style pastisserie is the best in the area. The stuff is kind and polite. The music is relaxing Ideal to spend your morning in front of your laptop

This coffee shop is has a lovely vintage exterior and serves lovely food despite their poor window display and the dull grey walls which can be very depressing for their customers (vintage sage would be ideal paint on their walls. (they need to view the internet for ideas on improvement). We believe if their window display was spruced up they will generate far more passing-by customers as their location is excellent. This coffee shop is a short stroll from the lovely Broomfield Park. The owners are a little shy which a great pity.

Visited this place today in the past the coffee has been consumable but today I visited with a friend after many months and the coffee was way too strong and bitter and badly made by a new member of staff. Out of politeness we tried drinking it. Then my friend mentioned to the staff that it was way to strong and bitter and if possible to make it alittle bit more milky and less strong. She then brought her one coffee to try and was exactly the same and then brought another which was now just watery. So we said not to worry about it maybe it’s the new coffee brand that they use or just the way she makes it. We paid for the first set when ordered. But Shockingly she still had the cheek to charge us for the second set of coffees which she brought to my friend to taste!! We are disgusted with the way she handled us. We have visited this place many times over the years and the manager was very polite and attentive but unfortunately was not around today to help. Will never step foot in there again and extremely disappointed with the greed for the cost of coffee instead of valuing there customers.

You get attentive service, menu has so many dishes to choose from and pastries? Left me drooling for more. I had the lemon tart and oh boy oh boy, exquisite!!

The cakes are so good, they're my go-to when I have guests over for food. Always an impressive dessert. And they sell the best bread for miles. The place is an absolute gift to the area. The interior for dining doesn't live up to the food, so I mainly use it for take-away.

I love this cafe! My son and I have really enjoyed our lunches here. The menu is full of delights and the patisserie are to die for. Nice friendly and unassuming atmosphere. I love the salads and there are a reasonable amount of gluten free and other health alternatives to (yummy but not necc. healthy) croissants. Well done the the kitchen team and serving staff.

Every weekend we go their to have our weekly fix of croissants after our morning walk. Best almond croissants I have ever had. Have had soup there as well which was good.

Wish I never stepped foot in here! Food was bland, dry and overpriced. No ambiance, no life- the pastries did look lovely and homemade but after the awful panini and burger my father and I ate I wasn't going to take the chance on what other food here tasted like. What a shame that an independent cafe just can't make basic sandwiches- at all.

Kiva is an inexplicably popular brunch venue in Palmers Green. I can only put this down to the fact that the middle class exiles from Crouch End and Muswell Hill (who are now buying in Palmers Green due to rising house prices) are desperate to go somewhere that looks like a nice place to do brunch. And although Kiva looks the part (all bare wood floors, white walls, sofas etc.) the service is disorganised and chaotic (being able to have a hot drink at the same time as your meal seems to be their particular Gordian Knot here), you have to ask them to tidy up your table from the previous occupants, the coffee is some of the worst coffee I have ever tasted and the food is at best mediocre. As some other commentators have recommended, I would advise going to Le Grand Jour Boulangerie Patisserie opposite Kiva. Good food, good coffee, charming service and you can get a hot drink with your meal.

I tried this patisserie shortly after it opened - at the time I found it quite pricey and a bit lacking, but what a change they have made!

As a former Crouch End dweller I have pined for this type of French bakery and pastry venue to open in Palmers Green. It ticks all the boxes and the staff are pleased to see you.

If you are looking for somewhere to have a coffee or tea and don t want to go to one of the coffee shop chains, I highly recommend this cafe. It's friendly, clean, has a great choice of things to eat, sweet and savoury and most of all the coffee is not. Staff are friendly and the pastries are so fresh.

Fab local independent cafe. We're regulars here and are slaves to the strong coffee and the yummy Pain Perdu (brioche eggie bread caramelised in sugar and honey with berries)

I was very disappointed with the vegetarian options. I ordered the Camembert au Four which is supposed to come with Prunes (plural) but there was only one tiny prune found inside the Camembert. I felt like I was given just one lump of cheese to eat. I could slightly taste the garlic but barely, if any, rosemary. The main a salad was just OK , something about it didn’t quite work , maybe the dressing could have been nicer, I’ve had far nicer salads in cheaper places, but definitely better than the starter as some variety. I’m a vegetarian who doesn’t eat goats cheese leaving not much choice on their menu.
