Best veggie food in durham imho, Palestinian flag, dude making the food is cool, it’s like 5 minute walk from the bus station, only 6 pounds for a massive falafel wrap? In this economy? I have 0 complaints 11/10 I would marry the owner of the shop if I could.

Every day, after school, I would go to Lazeez. The food they cook is delicious, fragrant and tastes good, and it's not expensive. I'm very satisfied with them.

Been going here for quite a while. Me and my friends go and the 5 star rating does not do the place justice. Not only is the food an 11 out of ten, but the service is even better. If your popping to Durham for a snack, I would absolutely recommend the place.

Wonderful food.. I got the falafel wrap & it is just so so delicious every single time. Lazeez never fails to deliver, & never fails to make me full - such great value for money :) The service was absolutely amazing I love the owners so much, they are such kind, generous & genuine people with a talent for cooking! One must always support a local business that will love you back ☺️ Always lovely to chat with the owners too ~ I think I’ll have the vine leaves or a wrap with hummus next time :) looking forward to it!

Genuinely really really good. A friend recommended it and I was not disappointed :) I had a falafel wrap and mango juice for £8.95. Great options if you are vegetarian/don't like spicy food, too. Both servers were very friendly and accommodating.

Stumbled upon this place with my fiancé last year after looking for some lunch. Now every time we visit Durham we drop in for a bite. The service is always warm and welcoming with a friendly chat while you wait. Falafel wraps are great washed down with some tasty juices that are also super healthy

Delicious falafel and salad bar with the falafel cooked fresh in front of you. Pick from salad items, pickles, veg, spicy potatoes and choice of hummus and sauces. I’d recommend getting a meal deal with a fresh juice, Ali’s special juice is delicious. Entirely veggie and loads of vegan options including baclava. Wraps are a decent size and jam packed. I would highly recommend.

THEE best falafel you will ever have. Everything is so fresh, and staff so so friendly and happy. But the food is actually amazing, you can tell that it’s made from the heart and fresh every day. Couldn’t recommended this place enough, and it’s a local business which is great to see thrive in Durham! Everything made to order and portions are huge & absolutely delicious!

Amazing fresh falafel wrap! Me and my partner shared a wrap (as we were going straight to a meal but we could resist) and they were beautiful! We chose each filling and watched the falafel cook fresh. Lovely couple running the place - really friendly. Can’t wait to come back and have a portion each!!!

The owners are incredibly kind and accommodating, the food is delicious, fantastic salad boxes! The only downside is there is no real space to sit inside. I wish the owners moved to a space with seating area as they deserve much more custom than they get! Super recommended!

Walking back to our car, we spotted some free tasty treats on the table outside this relatively new takeaway. Falafel and dips (chilli or garlic). We tucked in to one tasty chunk each and this prompted us to look inside for more. The owner made us feel really special and helped us choose from the wide range of new and interesting accompaniments for our own Falafel Lunch box. A couple of freshly squeezed orange juices made for an excellent and different lunch (it was a Greggs sandwich the day before) which we munched along the road at the National Trust's Crook Hall Gardens a short distance away.

We had a large party that included children and the owner and other worker made sure every order was perfect. They were very accommodating for our need for extra seating. The food was fresh and tasty. Delicious falafel!!! Everyone was so friendly and upbeat. My only regret is that I live across the ocean and won’t be back for more of this delicious fare soon. Eat here!

I never leave bad reviews but theres a first time for everything A few weeks ago me and my girlfriend were walking by. We were offered falafel passing by. We thought, 'oh what could go wrong?' ...turns out a lot. It tasted average at best at first but left an awful aftertaste. The worst part was yet to come. My girlfriend felt sick after eating it and all 9f that day she felt sick, only feeling better the next day. I cannot believe she got food poisoning from one piece of falafel. The last part about the food is that it left a lingering bad smell on my breathe for over a week. I could NOT get the smell out no matter how many times I brushed my teeth, however many mints I had, there was no getting it out. The only redeemable thing about the place was one of the members of staff there. He offered my girlfriend a drink of pepsi and genuinely cared about what happened. Props to him but I WOULD NOT go there. Dude needs to find another place to work. If you can do that from something as small as falafel god forbid what would happen if we ordered food from there...

Really delicious food, and big portions. Rash, the owner, met us at the door and offered us a free sample. The falafel wrap was tasty (not dry like some others can be) fresh, and made with any number of differing ingredients — which I was again offered samples of before deciding. The juice was fresh and delicious. Mine must have had two or three whole mangoes in it; making the ‘wrap and juice’ meal deal very good value. We’ll return again soon.

We wandered past and were given a free sample, which was so tasty we went in to get lunch. Two falafel meals with a side of potatoes easily fed four of us, and were sat outside in the sun sharing. They were very generous with the different salads and veg, especially when we said we hadn’t tasted them before. Definitely recommend!

Called in after tasting a sample of falafel outside. Bought a falafel snack box …omg absolutely delicious and so much food!!! Guys in there were amazing too, so friendly and polite. I have yet to eat my dessert but so full after my main. Will definitely be back!!! Oh and the falafels were cooked fresh as I ordered… 5 stars all round. Well done guys best I’ve tasted in a long while.

Unreal Falafel! Full disclosure: I was given a taster on my way to a dinner reservation. I didn’t say when I took the sample, and I didn’t tell my partner I would have cancelled the meal and simply ate an unreasonable portion of falafel. I digress, very friendly staff, well presented, delicious.

The best falafel wraps I’ve ever tasted in my life. Absolutely fantastic food and lovely service. Between the two of us had a falafel wrap and a halloumi and falafel wrap, and got some gorgeous baklava for later - the best, most authentic falafel in Durham hands down. Would highly recommending going here. X

Wat een leuk tentje is dit! Onwijs aardige mensen, heerlijke verse falafel, en superveel eten voor weinig geld. Echt een aanrader! Wij betaalden 13 pond voor cola, chips, falafel wrap (echt een grote!) en een falafel maaltijdbox. He-le-maal top! En de eigenaar gaf een zwerver gratis eten, waar zie je dat?!

Amazing flavours in a wide variety of food in my halloumi veg/ salad bowl today which was served with excellent hospitality. I enjoyed every mouthful. Excellent value re portion also. Sauces were delicious. Everything was presented well in mainly environmentally-responsible packaging. I chose "The Cleanser" to drink which was so refreshing. Delicious, completely fresh juiced fruit/veg made right in front of me! I highly recommend a visit here. Great to see so much choice for plant-based diets. I shall certainly return here for another meal next time I visit Durham! I wish Lazeez every success which is well-deserved.

Great for a quick bite so delicious falafel I tried them with some aubergine, cauliflower and spicy potato and both garlic and hot sauce were amazing. The place is very clean and service was top they are so generous!

Stopped in on the day of the Durham Miner’s Gala and was greeted warmly by the owner, who is friendly and very customer-focused. Had a lovely chat with him and realised he used to live in our village. It was a nice to build that connection with him and he’s clearly invested in connecting to the community and building relationships with his customers. This is a nice touch, something I haven’t found often in the U.K., but which made me feel like I was back in the U.S. I must mention the food though as well! The portions were incredibly generous for the price, and all of it was delicious. The falafel was the best I have ever had. It is nice to be able to grab something on the go or for a quick lunch that actually has vegetables and some nutritional value to it. Will definitely be back soon!

Delicious, filling, large portions and incredibly fresh! The staff are welcoming and charming giving a wonderful atmosphere. The falafel is cooked to order and perfect! Genuinely the beat Lebanese I've ever had in Durham. Puts Lebaneat to shame. Wrap was packed with healthy salad, fresh bread, dips were amazing and delivery driver was fantastic. You've just got yourself a new regular.

I'd been looking forward to the opening of this new arrival to Durham. As I looked in the window at the menu Rash offered a free sample of Falafel. Now I eat Falafel every week so trying this was trying nothing new, but during our long conversation together I asked what vine leaves were and Rash was very happy to tell me about how and where they grow. Intrigued, Rash offered me one for free! This was a lovely gesture to which I was very grateful. We chatted some more, untill I finally left, but not for long! I got around the corner and turned back into the shop. Rash had been so welcoming, friendly, kind and well-mannered. His hospitality was impeccable. I really enjoyed the friendly chat so thought I'd grab myself some tea instead of cooking at home. I ordered a Falafel wrap with halloumi,and salad. Rash's colleague started to cook the Falafel and halloumi, once cooked made up my wrap. What caught my eye was the attention he put into making this wrap! The respect he had for the food, he didn't just chuck the food in the wrap like most places do. He spent time and care into making it. Asked me what I wanted in it as he went along. Taking care as he did. Almost like he was blessing the food as he went. The flatbread itself looked warm, soft and fluffy. Anyway, he wrapped it in tinfoil and paper, not a polystyrene carton in site, thankfully! I wished them good luck, told them I'd soon be back again and went home. Tbh I could've stayed longer. The atmosphere in here is calm, and calming. I opened my beautifully made wrap and tucked in. And oh my it was delicious. Fresh, tasty, full of flavour and filling. For 7.00 it was amazing. It may seem expensive but for what you receive in food quality and customer service its worth every penny. I really pray this lil place stays open and isn't crippled by Durhams high rental prices. Oh and another thing, he's open till club and pub closing times, just what some of us need after a night out, and who doesn't want a greasy kebab and the trots the next day! This is the place to be. Flavourless falafels, yellow and not green showing lack of herbs to cut costs. Tabooleh had no acidity or olive oil. Such a shame because they could have both been very good, falafel portion is very good.
