Laveli Bakery in Hammersmith and Fulham

Such lovely service, lovely guy there named mustafa, great food to die for. Definitely will be back next time.

I used to be a frequent regular, but no more. The place has changed. The name has come off the front, but not replaced. New management perhaps. Paper cups for drinking in. Was told they don’t offer proper cups anymore. The guy serving seemed surprised I didn’t want a paper cup. Plenty of other good cafes on Askew road, so I won’t miss them.

This is my local bakery’s and coffee shop! I love my rustic bread and coco latte on the daily basis. Stuff is very friendly, I had a breakfast/ brunch only once there before covid 19. Haven’t tried the new menu as yet! They have a very nice selection of the sliced cakes and quite up to date with the festive season! Their mince pies are amasing. The croissants and other pastries seem to be freshly backed night before no wonder sometimes they are gone by noon or even earlier!

Unfortunately this bakery has gone down hill. Both the askew rd bakery and acton really bad customer service and attitude. I have just spent nearly 12 pounds and I will not be going back .please avoid .has enough of this company. I dont know who owns it but they should not be operating

Iced Americano looked like dirty water and blank taste. The new staff they hire rather don't care or dont't have knowledge to offer a fair customer service. Overpriced anyway.

I've no interest in being served by bland "barista-bots", which is why I patronise Laveli when Adrian and Mustafa are in action: not only do they take care to prepare my coffee properly, but they do so with courtesy and intelligence.

My favourite coffee shop im regular customer evry day because of quality of service and coffee especially Mr. Adrian who is doing the best cappuccino in town. Really impressed by his technique and the taste of his coffee. I hope the new owner to open again the kitchen and to have delicious breakfast soon. Is the best coffee shop in this area. Thank you very much you keep open all this time.

I wanted to send this as an email, but I can't find an email address anywhere for Laveli. For a while, I’ve been weighing up whether or not I should lodge a complaint but today I decided that I would feel uncomfortable if I continued to let things slide. Last year, in the run up to the vaccine being rolled out, I made the mistake of mentioning the vaccine to a member staff at this branch. I’m not sure what his name is but he is, say, in his 30s, olive skinned and has short hair. He then subjected me to a bizarre, 3 – 5 minute lecture about how he does not believe in vaccines because if only mothers would be allowed to remain connected to their babies by the placenta for 3 days after childbirth, then they would be immunised against all known viruses and diseases (including cancer). Try telling that to someone who's just given birth. It was really strange and uncomfortable, and people were queueing up outside. Another time, in the run up to Christmas, I popped in to ask if there were any Portuguese tarts (there were not). I was then subjected to another rant by the slim, Romanian guy with the stubble. He was FURIOUS, swearing and ranting, because he had been asked to wear his mask by the police. He said that he had ‘seen the true face of this country’; told me that he was an anti-vaxxer; and that he’d attend any upcoming anti-lockdown protests. I literally had to back out of the shop. After these encounters, I started to deliberately avoid the shop whenever either one of these staff members were on shift. Credit where credit is due, I really like the young woman with the dark hair, and the blond-haired Englishman, they are really nice, but I will avoid the Askew Road branch like the plague if the others are there. Today I wanted to drop into the shop to pick up a cake, but BOTH of these problematic staff members were in. Neither of them had masks on (of course). I don’t feel comfortable being served by people who don’t believe in the virus and who wilfully refuse to wear masks. All I wanted to do today was get myself a treat, but I was not willing to do so if it meant putting my household at risk, especially given that my partner is type II diabetic. So, this is just a review to say that, whenever these two are in, Laveli Bakery (Askew Road) have lost my custom.

Monday afternoon: perky & prompt service; pandemic protocol observed, adroitly prepared coffee. No more, no less.

I have been here many times and the service can be very inconsistent. I’m keen to support local businesses but today was the last straw. Was kept waiting to be served because the person serving said she is doing stock take. After waiting for probably 10 minutes i asked her if she was intending on serving me. Again she said she has to do stock check!! Would give 0 stars if I could. Do not waste your money much nicer places to go nearby with better service and zero attitude. Will not frequent ever again.

I'm a regular customer here, primarily because it's the nearest "place of coffee" to my dwellings. The coffee is good, but not as fantastic as that from Artisan or Ozwald Copplepot, a wee bit further afield. The regular staff, in my experience, are possessed of an extremely friendly disposition - including the bearded fellow; the only unpleasant encounter occurred when the place was being presided over by, I think, the female manager, whose hostile manner was congruent with the lukewarm, flavourless liquid I was served.

I've been going to Laveli Askew Road for several years as it is local - but I won't be back anytime soon. Now that I've read some of the reviews here I'm not that surprised by the service. I'm surprised the owners haven't made any changes given the feedback here - i.e. perhaps employ people who actually enjoy serving their customers. It's a shame as I like to shop at our local independent shops. My experience involved a surly, tall man with beard - he seemed to think it was a complete inconvenience to serve a customer on a Saturday morning (bearing in mind there was the grand total of zero customers in the queue). Slicing two loaves of bread seemed beyond him. Huffing and puffing the entire time. As I was walking out, I overhead him joking with his female colleague that he'll "never see me again". I suppose he's right - used to shop there every week but never again.....

I went to this branch last Friday, just after 2.00 pm. I bought 2 pains au chocolat. My friend and I were wondering why the gentleman, with a beard, who looks like the baker, with white Tshirt, who served me, was trying to take the ones at the bottom of the basket and shuffling they around, hesitating which one to pick. They usually have a nice " crusty " outside, fluffy inside - typical of the puff pastry - and lovely texture, these ones were dry and hard. Now that I have eaten them, I understand why and I am sorry to say, I don't believe they were from today. I have worked in hospitality, I can tell you they were not baked in the morning, unless you have particular way to bake them . It is shame, as the space was quiet, and every one need customers to use local shops and I have used the 3 shops several times, but I will hesitate to come back again.

Me and my son were going to get a gluten free treat for him in this little bakery, I asked politly to the only attendant present which desserts were gluten free and he responded, "Can you read English?" in a really rude manner. Unfortunately I could not read the cards in front of the desserts without my glasses.We left without buying anything , We won't go back anymore as often they are rude in there , also the place is well overpriced for what it is.

Came in to get a coffee during quarantine, man was so rude, told me I should leave my daughter outside, and told me I should be standing at the door, sign says 2 people in at a time and there are no markers on the floor, he asked me if I would like a tape measure and kept going on like he wanted to cause a scene, I am a regular here and I will never be going back to this coffee shop again
