Latino Joes in Medway

We have always visited this restaurant when we are in Rochester. It has always been a great atmosphere and excellent food. However , on our visit in August it was the complete opposite. The menu was very limited and the prices had increased enormously. The service was a disgrace . I had my starter almost thrown down on the table . Suffice to say we will never be returning . This pandemic has given them an excuse to up the prices and reduce the menu by less than half !

Visited as 4 for a birthday meal. Was a lovely meal, slightly more pricier than I thought but cocktails were lovely. A meal each (for 4 people) 2 sides, 1x cocktail each, bottle of wine, 1 beer = £170. Cocktails were nice, but not very strong. Food was very nice, seemed all fresh and well presented. Glad we tried it, would probably return.

Love the cocktails in this place, the array of drinks is great. Slightly expensive but a good little venue nonetheless.

Had the worst night I've ever had in a restauran, booked a table 3 weeks ago for 8 o'clock for 5 people when we arrived we had to wait for 15 mins on the pavement then shown to our table ordered drinks. 30 minutes later we are still waiting for our drinks, after we asked a member of staff how long for our drinks the manager arrived and aggressively told us " you have only been here 10 minute's and you was late for your table" At this point our party decided to leave where we was met with sarcastic remarks from the bar staff. I have never experienced such poor customer service as I haveexperienced here. Ps The manager was not wearing a mask Pps. The table behind had 8 people on it when the rule is 6. Disgusting

One of the worst places I have ever been!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND! They were charging us for drinks as we was ordering them so we paid, at the end they added so much stuff to our bill that we already paid for and even extra stuff!! They didn’t put the name of what we ordered they just put “food” “drink” so we couldn’t identify what we actually ordered, when we told the man we thought our bill was incorrect he was so rude and kept raising his voice. I have never experienced customer service like this in my life!! Disgusted

Our table was next to the kitchen, service was shambolic, no special surprise from the restaurant, after spending over £200 in food and drinks at 21:38 they asked us to leave as need tables which ruined the night, oh and to top it all off a mouse was running around

Visited this Restaurent on Bank holiday Monday treat before back to school with my family, & for the first time. Very disappointed with the overall experience. The menus were grubby, glasses were smeared around the edges when they arrived with the drinks, we had to remind staff a couple of times for the drink we had ordered, & did not receive. When we ordered the food there were a number of items on the menu they did not have! however the waiter made no mention of this when we sat down, which would have been good customer service! The food we eventually was able to choose was sparce on the plate & not very presentable. Nachos for starters, only few on the plate & main meal mainly burritos was ok not the best we have had, & my rice tasted like it came out of a pre cooked packet! It is a shame as I know restaurants are struggling to survive post covid, & it is therefore imperative that they portray a clean & inviting environment, at all times, let alone during our current climate. Feel that a greater effort could have been made at this restaurant, in order to maintain customers, as sadly I will not be visiting again.

What a pleasant surprise this was, I am a good cook so we rarely eat out. We had a delicious meal here. Greeted by friendly, accommodating staff. The ribs were out of this world! melt in the mouth. The sea bass and vegetables delicious, so tasty. Calamari crispy. Atmosphere relaxed and inviting. Highly recommended. I have no idea why the such low ratings.

Despite the best efforts of the staff at both the bar and at the table, the manager made this my single worst experience at any restaurant not just in Rochester, nor Kent nor the rest of the UK, in fact the only time I have had treatment that neared this was in a back street restaurant in the Costa Brava where the manager detested the English! Where do we begin? - On arrival the manager asked us quite reasonably to wait a couple of minutes whilst tables were prepared, so we purchased some drinks and 10 mins later were escorted to our table, not in the main part of the restaurant but in the bar area. Unusually for an establishment that served food and despite laying the table for the correct number of people, the only menus on the table were for drinks - we had to find menus ourselves and ended up with the bar staff finding some for us. Eventually, probably as an afterthought the manager came over and took our orders. For a restaurant that advertises Burgers, Steaks and Ribs as it's headline items to be told they had no Burgers (well he actually said meat) at lunchtime seemed somewhat odd and the attitude shown was awful - perhaps attending a table immediately after having a loud argument over a mobile phone in the middle of the bar was not his brightest move. The starters arrived 15-20 minutes later which was bearable. However, after finishing the starters the wait for main courses was ridiculous - it took 20 minutes to clear the table after the starters and then we waited.... and waited... and waited. After another half hour waiting and without sight of any staff we managed to catch the attention of someone and asked what had happened to the main courses it then took a further 20 minutes for the food to arrive - They must have run out of potatos as well, as ALL the meals arrived with sweet potato fries. Believe it or not a restaurant is a SERVICE provider and to head the business paying absolutely no attention to customers is no service whatsoever. To add insult to injury when my daughter complained about the service she was greeted with an aggressive response by the manager saying "What did you expect? It is the same wherever you go as it's festival weekend" - Well, for his education, I must state that there were only two other tables of clients that arrived in the time we were there (one table actually left after waiting half an hour to be attended) Furthermore, we have been attending the festival for more years than I can remember and despite often having some delays in service, NONE have ever come near to this for completely ignoring customers, being unprepared and treating people like an inconvenience rather than clients. Okay so £150.00 may not be much in the overall scheme of things but for our part there won't be a penny more spent in this establishment by any of us and if anyone reading this has any sense I suggest they do the same. To the bar staff and young man that eventually came round and did his best to resolve our problems thank you, your efforts were appreciated, unlike those of the person who really should have been setting an example.

After a great evening here last year with friends, we decided to go back to Latino Joes for a girlie catch up on a Friday night. What a mistake ! After waiting an age to get a drink at the bar amongst foul mouthed boys shouting and swearing at the top of their voices, we were shown to our table in a deserted restaurant ( last year it was packed). The food has always been good but this time the chicken burrito was full of mush with 3 lumps of chicken in and to be honest my dog would have turned his nose up at it. After 9pm Latino Joes turned into a disco for what can only be described as mostly underage children drinking and falling around ! At the end of the meal we were visited by the "bar boy" who seemed to be in charge, looking for glasses and who I'm sure was no older than 19 - when my friend asked him a question he informed us that he didn't understand her as he was "smashed bruv" - he really didn't need to tell us this as it was clear to see that he was certainly off his face on something ! Oh and I forgot to mention the 3 skirmishes at the bar !! I would strongly suggest you avoid this place unless you are fresh out of school ! The only thing good to say is that the waitress was a delight and far to good for this place !

Me and my partner visited here this evening 7/9/19, and it was just an incredible restaurant, the staff are lovely, the food was the absolute best we’ve ever tased, was very clean and inviting place to eat, BEST FOOD EVER!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure where to start with this place. We booked a table for 5 upon arrival were put on a table for 4 and squashed together. Our drinks orders were taken after 30 minutes. A man came over 20 minutes later with drinks which we hadn't ordered and insisted they were ours. When we did get our drinks they were abysmal mostly with no taste and VERY watered down. None of the cocktails tasted liked they had any alcohol in at all. The same man then asked us which table number this was! He didn't have a clue. We asked to be moved as there was no way we could eat around such a small table. We were put out the back in a dark corner with no lights. After waiting over an hour an a hour with still no sign of starters we asked where our food was. Food arrived cold 1 sea bass was ordered and the waiter asked who had ordered a "sea bird" to which he met much confusion from us. The food was inedible McDonalds burgers were much tastier than these. No sauce so condiments nothing offered. We asked for the bill as we wanted to leave this is where the real trouble started. We called over an older man who appeared to be the manager and explained our problems who said he would sort our the bill. He then send over the other man from before. The bill was not ours he said I have taken £50 off and we only had to pay £75!!!!! For 3 burgers and 1 round of drinks 2 of which were soft drinks and 1 drink had been sent back. The bill had desserts and beer again we explained this is not our bill. This man went absolutely crazy stating he didn't care and if we get our calculators out he would add it up again we asked for the bill. He was told the food was inedible and the service was so poor. He told 1 member of the party to "shut up and shw had a wild mouth!!!" Repeating himself screaming and shouting and being very aggressive and confrontational. 1 member of our party then threatened to call the police to which the older manager came over and told him to go away. We were all in dismay at what was unfolding. He apologised and told us everything was complimentary and to leave. Please do not waste your time and money going to this place. The poor girl waitressing was on her own and told us the bar man has just walked out which was no surprises really. We are in total shock as to how the night unfolded and it completely ruined our evening out. Please avoid this place especially if your a group of women!

Visited here for the first time last night. My first impressions were quite good as a venue itself. I ordered piri piri chicken with pineapple and when my food came out there was no pineapple in sight and definitely no piri piri. I got a microwaved rubbery, plain chicken breast with a cheese slice on top, wilted salad and chips. I then called the waitress to ask her if I had been given the right dish and she said I had. I explained about the pineapple and she went off to the kitchen, came back and said the chef had no pineapple! The cocktails were nice but the food, considering the price was very very disappointing. Based on my first impressions, I will not be returning.

Resturant is huge and due to special event going on town there was a set menu. It was quite highly priced for what it was. For example 4 jalapeno poppers for £5.95 and were of poor quality. We also had chilli and the fajitas ans portions were small,yet tasty. There was no kids menu either!! Deco was poor with a sploge of chewing gum by a poster on the wall ans the toilet not well keot and the toilet roll dispwnser hanging off wall in pieces. Bearing in mind it was a busy event day in the town resturant was empty for lunch time. I will not be returning

Went with a large group of people and had the £20.95 party menu, which incorporated a free shot of tequila, mixed starters including ribs and potato croquettes and a sizable main with fajitas/burritos/chips etc. The starter (with complimentary nachos and dips) was great quality, the meat just fell off of the bones, excellent, and everything else was great. For mains, the fajitas were excellent, very generous portions and everything was cooked to perfection. The chips and tequila was initially forgotten but the staff were quick to react and couldn't have been more friendly/apologetic. The atmosphere was really good, the staff make a real effort and had no problem bringing out a birthday cake and that.The cocktails were also of a really high standard, the mojitos were excellent. Overall, very, very good, a hidden gem and an excellent array of food for just £20.95. Very relaxed, fun and enjoyable, recommended.

We ordered burrito and enchilada and sadly they were a kind of £1 Iceland's frozen stuff cooked two days ago and reheated in a microwave. The whole thing was not hot enough to start with, The tortilla wrap was soggy, the pulled pork dry and the rice was soft and more like a paste. Horrible overpriced experience. The fact that the place was empty while the rest of the places were full should have given us the clue...

came here as a off chance. when we arrived we was told they were fully booked, but the waiter said he would see what he could do. After getting a drink we was told he sorted a table for the 4 of us! Result!food was really yummy, and we all thought it was great value for money Can’t wait to return.

Well what a disappointment. Felt the food was poor! For £30 a head for really poor Mixed Starter, Sea Bass which was size of a fish finger was overall a rip off! Coupled with the dodgy tummy overnight will definitely not be returning!!!

A group of 12 of us had Xmas dinner at a cost of 30 PER head. The shared starter was tiny, we literally got a rib, chicken wing and breaded mushroom each. Mains and desserts were nothing special. I could have done better with a burrito kit! Cocktails were barely alcoholic! Didn't even get a Xmas cracker which is ludicrous as we could have ordered the same meal off the non xmas menu for 7 quid less!At 50 each for dinner and 2 drinks it was very poor value. Half of us had upset stomach the next day. There are much better places to eat in Rochester, save your money and go somewhere else instead.

Had such a laugh. Food good although didn't agree with the hilarious waiter, Ben's advice. Burritos/enchiladas? As mature ladies a wider girth is better than the long and skinnies. Even no chips! Was funny. Made our night and I had been saving my lose change for months. Treasure it!!

Great atmosphere, amazing food and even better waiter. Thanks to Ben for making it such a fun evening. Very witty and hilariously funny. Worth his weight in gold! Credit to the restaurant

As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a lovely man who sat us down. Staff efficient, always checking back to make sure we was ok. The manager man I’m guessing he was in the yellow jumper couldn’t have been friendlier even giving us a complimentary free shot at the end of the evening. And shook our hand goodbye when we left. I highly recommend this place and the yummy Piri Piri burger x

We ate here on Saturday night, we’d previously been on a week night and enjoyed the food. This is not the place to eat at the weekend if you want to have any sort of conversation! It was like eating in a night club! So loud, we could barely hear each other. We were a party of 6, as soon as one person had finished their starter, their plate was whipped away! Waiters/ waitresses repeatedly asked us if we had finished our food and drinks - when clearly we had not! We had to ask for extra drinks, we were not offered dessert, then we were asked to move to another area so they could move tables and set up for the next day!!! The service was verging on rude, despite the food being quite nice, I would not recommend eating here. The drinks were weak and very over priced!

On arrival looked wonderful behind the bar cockatils were being made,which of course we all partisapated Monitoring were really good ,went through the to eating area which immediately staff put a Mexican hat on me and a poncho as it was my birthday took photos. Food was delicious enjoyed my friend does not like spicy food and there was something to suit her palette too. Enjoyed it will go again also they have a small dance floor which we tried out

Poor quality of food. Service was average. Ladies toilet was too small. Interior design of the place was tactful, needs to be more contemporary and high end. Drinks menu was not impresssive.

We only had a cocktails but there were a good selection I love porn star martini which is hard to get and they made a good one. Will definitely go back and try the food.

Me and my friends visited Latinos Joes last Saturday. Cocktails arrived quickly even the restaurant seemed busy. They were freshly made and very delicious! For starters we had nachos to share and it arrived very quickly. We had burritos as our main courses. The quality was amazing! Staff was very friendly, waitresses were kind and polite. I would recommend to visit this place for everyone as the service is great. Amazing place to come on Saturday evening!!!

We visited Lationo Joes last Friday evening for my hen do which was kindly arranged as a surprise for me by my work friends. We had a table early as we wanted to go on for drinks elsewhere afterwards and by the time everyone arrived, there was 16 of us, we were all seated by 7:30. There were a couple of other tables occupied at this time so it was far from busy. The waitress came and asked us if we'd like to order drinks whilst looking at the menu which we did and most of us had cocktails which took a little time to arrive but that was expected as they are all freshly made. We were given sombreros to wear which was fun and then they came to take our order. Our starters actually arrived fairly quickly but after that things started to go down hill. We didn't get the same waitress every time so there was no continuity with service. Our plates were cleared and we were asked if we would like more drinks which we ordered. and then we waited.......and we waited.......and we waited. We were seated by the kitchen so we could see main courses coming out to tables that had come in after us and by this time it was getting busy but the waitresses didn't come to apologize for the wait or to give us an explanation as to why there was a delay although they did keep asking us if we wanted more drinks, probably in an attempt to a) get us to spend more money and b) to distract us to that fact we were still waiting for our main courses. We hadn't ordered anything difficult a couple of us had fajitas, some had enchiladas and 4 of us ordered the chicken paella and someone had a steak. I did actually comment that maybe it was the paella that was taking so long if it was being cooked from fresh......wrong! During the time we waited, which was more than an hour and a half, no one apologized, a young waiter hovered by our table and then reached in and took a full jug of water which we'd asked for off our table stating they were sort on jugs so he was taking this one!! We had two other jugs (there were 16 of us) and one of them was empty, I watched him then place it on someone else's table so they didn't even receive a fresh jug. I also noticed the chef come out of the kitchen twice in this time. Finally one of the waitresses said it will be 5 mins, which was more like another 10 mins, and the main course would be with us. They arrived! First to come out was the paella. This was a smallish bowl that had nachos stuck in to the rice, which I thought was a bit odd, slices of lemon or crusty bread slices are more traditional. Anyway, I looked at my dish and my friends dishes that also had paella and it did in no way resemble paella, there were no peppers or peas and the colour wasn't yellow as you'd expect, in fact what we'd received was 4 bowls of basmati rice (uncle bens no doubt) and chicken!! After tasting it, I called over the waitress and passed it back to her saying that this wasn't what id ordered and was definitely not paella. She took the bowl back in to the kitchen only to return with the bowl, hand it back and said that they don't have any paella rice!!!! No apology, no offer of something else, she just walked off. Two of my friends just picked at their meal but myself and my other friend ate ours, we were so hungry and everyone else had there meals by then so to re order and thought of having to wait again wasn't a option. The friend that ordered her steak medium rare sent hers back as it was well done and she couldn't eat it so the waitress said she would take it off the bill. When we'd finished our meals some of the group had to leave as it was now getting quite late and left us the correct money for their drinks and meal. We'd asked at the beginning for a separate drinks bill and food bill so we asked for these. We sorted out the drinks bill first and when it came to the food bill we asked to see the manager as we were unhappy paying for the paella and the steak hadn't been removed from the bill. The waitress came back and said that the manager couldn't come as she was busy! Anyway she eventually arrived apologizing saying she was having to serve behind the bar and asked us what the issue was. We explained what had happened, the length of time we were waiting, the non paella and the steak. She then said she would take the steak off the bill but two of us had eaten the 'paella' she wouldn't remove all of them. I told her that we had complained at the time and not offered anything else and we'd waited so long for it to arrive ate it as we were hungry but we weren't happy about paying £11.95 for a bowl of basmati rice!. She finally agreed to take off two of the paellas and gave us a shot each on the house. We paid the food bill, some in cash and some by card and all appeared ok. We then left and were standing outside on the pavement waiting for a couple of people that had gone to 'powder their nose' when one of the waitresses appeared with a calculator exclaiming we'd under paid, and that they done the calculation twice and we still owed them money. I asked if they were serious especially after such poor service and food and how much did we under paid to which she said £14.37!! Really!!! after a bit of discussion we did pay this but the whole experience put a dampner on my hen do. Disappointed that their customer service and making sure we had a good experience in their restaurant was not that important to them and although the manager apologized I didn't feel it was sincere. Looking at the other reviews, myby its just par for the course for this restaurant. I don't usually complain, but this was a special night for me and my friends and it was spoilt by our experience. I have emailed Latino Joes via their website and not surprisingly, I've had no response. Speaks for itself.

Went there with friend to get lunch. Ordered couple of cocktails to start with. There was little fly in my one. Thought I will let stuff know once they come to table to get our order. But 20 or more minutes later we were still waiting. I believe it took us a good half an hour to decide we were not going to eat there. Walked to the bar to point out the fly in my ''untouched" cocktail, but to my surprise barman/waiter pulled face and grumpily asked if I want another one. When I said ''yes please'' he took my glass. I secretly looked if he was making a new one for me. But he didn't!! Just 'recycled' my one and gave it back to me!! I didn't drink of course. We just paid and left. They were not embarrassed to take money from us even though I didn't touch my drink. Also they have never asked us if we were ready to order, even though the place was empty as it was lunchtime in the middle of the week. Will not revisit this place thats for sure. Because stuff don't take a pride in what they do. Grumpy atmosphere. Not customers but money orientated (short term) place.

Fantastic place for girls night! Cocktails and lovely food! Quick service even on a Saturday staff friendly and helpful can't wait to go back!

Not my first visit to Latino Joe's - discovered by chance a couple of years ago. Lovely place. Makes you feel like you're on holiday with the music, decor and relaxed atmosphere. Great for groups of any size. Food is always good and I especially recommend the prosecco sangria - it's the reason I keep returning!

We had a fabulous party here, cocktails were fantastic and food was very tasty. We ordered amazing selection of starters. And mixed grill meets. Suggested to everyone.

Never been to this Mexican restaurant before so thought I’d try it out.Started of with a patron margarita which was delicious then ordered the big starter to starter which I actually regretted as it was far too much however it was nice.I had the burrito for my main and again,it was a huge portion,so I learned my lesson,it’s either or as I left feeling very full and uncomfortable.But I can imagine this place being a fab atmosphere on a weekend as they do a range of tasty cocktails.The service could of been a little better,felt like I was a burden when ordering more drinks,and I just wish it would of been a little more welcoming but I think I will give it another go on the weekend.It has a bar so definitely would recommend going there even if it’s just for pre drinks...

2nd visit to Latino Joe’s. Was seated very quickly but then had to move 15 mins later as they put us on the wrong table!!!

My partner and I visited here for dinner on a busy Saturday night and we were fortunate enough to get a table. The food was reasonably priced and was delicious, it came very quick. I was pleased it came quick (within 5 minutes of ordering) but I felt like due to the extremely fast service, it was a very rushed meal and therefore couldn’t be enjoyed as much as it could’ve been. I also felt the service wasn’t overly great and that the workers didn’t want to be there. Overall it was good food and good price but the service could be improved.

I visited Latino joes with 19 other people and they had a party menu which was perfect for us, the bought out the starters on a platter so everyone got something and the main I had was steak and chips (not very Mexican but good none the less) they also do desperado out of a tap which made it taste 10x better, would highly recommend it to anyone!

I've been here twice, once for lunch during the day which was very good and once for NYE, the music was good, nice friendly vibe and great cocktails all nice and not too pricey as well. Can see owner really getting into helping out his staff which is good to see.

We arrived & greeted...the music was rap music not what I’d link to Mexico...we almost left....food was ok....the bar tender was entertaining his friend...& his language wasn’t appropriate....don’t think we will go back

Very disappointed... wasn't told when booking we'd have a very limited Christmas menu to choose from. Run out of cider, run out of beer on tap, run out of 1 of the 3 dessert choices!

Awful service, waitresses clearly didn’t want to be there. Food was average at best - just chucked on the plate. Would not recommend or return.

Visited this resturant last Saturday night with friend's for dinner. We were seated promptly even though the resturant was fairly busy. Food was nice , menu as expected good simple Mexican food, Fajitas, enchiladas etc. Great cocktail list . Friendly service.

Amazing cocktails even better food! Would highly recommend visiting here! Staff we’re so friendly. Dj started around 10 place quickly filled up and we spent our whole night here will definitely be back.

What can I say started off well with attentive waitress. It started going wrong when wines weren’t available, we settled for an alternative upon ordering another for the table we were then told they had no more in stock. This isn’t the reason for my terrible review however. I ordered the rib eye steak rare and when it arrived it was almost well done, I returned it to the kitchen and asked for another. However clearly they ran out of ribeye and presented me with a sirloin. I asked the waitress to check with the chef that was the case and the bill be adjusted accordingly. However I was told it was a ribeye steak and the reason it was different is because it was from Australia ! Are you kidding me. Utterly outrageous lying to customers. And yes I know the difference between a ribeye and sirloin! I cannot abide being fobbed off and lied to. Be wary they think it’s okay to lie to customers. Oh and the food is average at best. Nothing to write home about. Sorry joe

Haven't had such a genuine dish since leaving the USA in 1987, my partner and I were treated with great courtesy having nipped into the restaurant for lunch. It was our first visit as we noticed it as new since our last trip into town.

Went last night with my friend and shared jugs of sangria and the sharing platter. The food and service were great. I will deffo go back to sample some more from their menu

Nobody else in bar but took quite a while before anybody served us. Think it's very pricey drinks and noticed staff more interested on their phones than serving people or clearing tables. Not good as we only went in there on recommendation

I've visited Latino Joes quite a few times now with family and friends and found it to be a fun place to meet up and have a good old catch up :). The cocktails are fantastic and the food is good too. Just to mention that Daniella is so friendly and so smiley and made some great cocktails for Us on our last visit :)! We'll definitely visit again soon. Highly recommend for celebrating a special occasion or a good old catchup with your friends.

Great place to meet friends on a Friday night for dinner and cocktails! An amazing selection of drinks and reasonably priced! Food was great on the first visit, a little disappointing on the second visit but would defo go again.

I visited here with my bestie on 30th September 2017 we booked for 21.00hrs when we turned up we were informed they were fully booked before we could get a word out stating we have already booked. We were shown to our table, the darkest corner of the restaurant, we had to use our touch on the phone to see the drinks and food menu. They took ages to serve us our drinks and food. We ordered starters and a main course which they served however they served the main course without clearing the dishes from starters we had. Soon as we finished our main course the waitress came over and said she had to serve us the bills as they stop serving food. This was rude basically as we were not offered dessert not if we wanted any but nice to be offered and not feel like we were an inconvenience to them. We felt this was unfriendly and unprofessional service. I have been here for lunch on a previous visit and their service was so much better. This visit has really marred my opinion of this bar/restaurant. They got 2 stars as the food was alright but service and attitude were really poor. I hope they will improve on their attitude with their evening guests who are coming for the food as well as a good time.

Was served by Sylwia and nothing was too much bother she gave us great recommendations and even made some of the cocktails we had that night. Would definitely recommend the nachos and the paella.

Was really looking forward to enjoying Rochester's first Mexican restaurant. The service was good but the food was just over priced and average. Sorry Latino Joes. Maybe stick to the cocktails.

When we walked in Latino joes had a great atmosphere.....this is the only positive I could think of!

We came here on Saturday night, it was busy and had a good fun atmosphere. The food was delicious and lots of it, the cocktails were good and we had sylvia as our waitress who was lovely. So we are looking forward to going back!

Went here for mine and my friends weekly meal was greeted lovely when we walked in by the young girl she sat us by the window. We was the only two in the restaurant to very quick service and the young girl very helpful prompt on ordering our drinks then our food. Starters took a while to come but we did order 3 different things to share between us two. Once we had finished we only had to wait about 10 minutes for our main meals. Food was very filling but still had room for mains check back was good. Desserts where also very yummy definitely go back for the pancakes. Half way though eating our desserts 3 men came into the restaurant and we could see that they was making the waitress at the bar uncomfortable so we quickly asked for the bill to get her away from them and paid once we saw the manger had come out from the back. Would recommend and definitely come back don't know name of the waitress but she did an amazing job.

Arguably the best restaurant in Rochester High Street in terms of the food. The Nachos, Fajitas and Enchiladas are out of this world and very well priced. The only downside is the price of the drinks, you can find much cheaper alternatives in the highstreet but this shouldn't put you off going for lunch/dinner.

Have been here a couple of times for drinks and I can't fault the cocktails! So many to choose from and I can never stop at just one! Last night was the first time I'd eaten in - the calamari was gorgeously crispy but nachos disappointing. The chilli hidden underneath the pile of crisps/dips and more of a paste than a meaty chilli you would expect. Nice but food wise would probably chose chiquitos

We walked past last weekend and saw they were offering 30% off during Monday to Thursday so thought would give igive it a try as wanted to take friends there in a couple of weeks time but had seen some reviews and thought better check it out properly for dinner as had only had nachos and cocktails there previously!

My Wife and i made an impromptu visit on Saturday evening. We hadn't booked but was very pleased they squeezed us in. Pint of Desparado on draught only 50p more then a bottle and went down well. I wasn't that hungry so just went with the Chilli burger with a side of 'fries' and I have to say it was delicious. My wife had the paella and loved it. We both thought the staff were lovely. Two small complaints, I fancied one of their lovely sounding coffees but the machine was out of order, and so I ordered a Brandy which came in a whisky glass with ice. Other then that it was great and reasonably priced, will definitely go again as lots of the dishes looked and smelt delicous. Don't expect a quiet romantic meal for two, it was busy and buzzing when we were there, but I had no complaints with the service, and to repeat the food was very good. 2 main courses, 1 desert, cocktail, pint of desperadoes, 1 brandy £44

Poor service. Poor drinks. Overpriced. Very little atmosphere. Took our friend for birthday drinks and it was very disappointing.

Booked a table for 8pm and it allegedly wasn't ready so we were invited to by a drink at the bar, three cocktails and a pint over £20. We were quickly seated, although I didn't see anyone leave. Menu choice was good and priced reasonably, service wasn't great. Two of our meals were served incorrectly, pork and chicken burritos served to the wrong people, I don't mean the waiter forgot who ordered what but the dishes were announced incorrectly. One of my party also specifically request no cheese on their side plate but cheese was served, this was corrected immediately.

Went to have a late lunch in Rochester on 25th June 2017 with my friend at Latino Joe's. It opened in the last 12 months having passed this afew months ago. We were greeted with a smile. The restaurant is a Mexican food and drink place. The restaurant is well themed. It was quiet today as it was a Sunday afternoon. We choose to just have a main course. The food was well cooked and presented. It is located in the lower end of the High Street and fairly easy to find. There is no parking here but Rochester has various places you can park. The staff were friendly and professional always trying to make you feel welcome. We didn't drink any alcohol however there are plenty to choose from. Recommend this restaurant to couples, groups, and families.

Visited here during the Dicken's Festival in the afternoon, the bar was well attended, there was plenty of staff around, however, each cocktail is made to order and so service isn't the quickest, but you get to watch each one being prepared. Each cocktail comes with all the trimmings and they pay attention to detail.

There is nothing worse than leaving a restaurant with an empty stomach. This what you should expect there unless you order several dishes each.

Me and my boyfriend visited the restaurant on May 1st and we had an amazing experience. The food was quite good for a Mexican Restaurant and the service was excellent. The drinks were a bit overpriced, but I expect that is the norm if the food is good value.I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited as a couple late afternoon on a Tuesday which you think would be the perfect time as it would be so quiet, oh how wrong we was. When we arrived there was one other table that was just leaving which left only us in the restaurant. Service throughout was bad, our waiter barley spoke English so we couldn't ask about the menu and had to tell him the numbers on the menu to be able to order. Food was bland and anything that could be brought in was, was a real shame as was hoping for home cooked authentic Mexican food. The waiter forgot a side dish which we had to remind him about and didn't get it until the end of our meal. We wouldn't go back, I wouldn't even recommend going there for a drink as the cocktails was overpriced and nothing special, also not a lot of beers on draught. Staff seem more interested in their social life than the customers.

Far end of Rochester high street so parking is a slight distance away. Fantastic cocktails every time and food looked good too.

Visited Rochester today, quiet Sunday afternoon, and came upon this restaurant. We all love Mexican food and we were very impressed, good authentic tastes, we had burritos and other half had steak.

With a new restaurant there are bound to be a few teething problems however Latino Joe's seemed to have more than its fair share. The service was slow and uncoordinated. Our starters arrived before our drinks which we then had to enquire about and were promptly delivered in plastic cups, not quite what you expect when paying over £6 per drink. Food was good quality although we had to ask for one of the mains which had been forgotten, and was then brought out cold and lacking the guacamole as stated on the menu. The highlight of our meal was they staff having a full on argument in front of our table, although entertaining this didn't give the most professional impression. To finish it all off when we wanted to settle up and split the bill we were sent to the bar and then told we could not so this, landing one of our party with the full amount to pay. A memorable evening but for all the wrong reasons.

We really enjoyed our evening in this new restaurant. The food was well presented and delicious and plenty of it. The cocktails were excellent and the staff were attentive and friendly. It was my daughters birthday and they made an effort with a cake candle and music! Great music too. Only recommendation is to get Estella larger on tap as they promise. We will be back soon.

Our recent visit here certainly left me feeling that this place was more about style over substance, as the food and service were all a bit of let down if I am honest.

Went with friends to try this new venue. Not being a Mexican foodie fan I was reluctant. I was completely blow away by the food.

We have been looking for something like this for a while and we were not disappointed, the food and cocktails were great. Service was excellent, we will definitely be back again. Try it out everyone you will not be regret it, it comes highly recommended

We decided to go to this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We had nachos to start which we shared and they were a good starter and not too filling. We had it with the pulled pork on top which was great. There was happy hour on the cocktails on the Wednesday we went and the margaritas were great. For main I had the shredded beef enchiladas which were great would have preferred a bit more tomato sauce but that is me being picky. My boyfriend had the shredded chicken burrito which he really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and really helpful. We can't wait to go back as the food was great.
